Triumph!
Fallow held up his lasso with a keening sort of sound made out of glee and maybe just a bit of pride. His humming was quickly cut short though when something heavy landed around his shoulders and tightened. "Hey!" Fallow's ears pointed upwards and he turned his head in surprise, tail whipping about as though a thousand invisible flies had somehow managed to land on it. Growling warmly at the other boil, he turned and caught his fingers in the rope attached now to Clyde's hands, pulling to drag him closer even though he was already - awh, well, - coming.
"Well hello there." He said in a gravely and rumbling tone, tail swishing around, ears pricked, allowing his attention to fall only on Clyde as he was unleashed again. "You seem very - ah - adept at lassoing people."
When he was finally unleashed, Fallow wound up his own lasso and cocked an ear. "Here, let me try as well -- " He paused and laughed, a high and amused sort of sound, "though I doubt I will be that good."
And he wasn't.

Alright, she officially hated knots. Why would this one not stay together? She gave a halloween curse and whispered a sealing spell onto the rope, hoping that it would make the knot stick. Who knows, maybe she would get lucky and the third time would be the charm. She finally managed to get a good enough rope, thanks to her sealing spell, and was glad to find that now she could try her lassoing skills to the test.

"Pleased to meet ya'll," he beamed happily at the students he hadn't met til' now. It was always awesome to meet new people. He found that this little excursion outside of the school was doing wonders for his social soul. Going around talking to everyone he can that usually aren't already talking to someone else except for when he butted in - like now. Even if it did get him roped.
Kettil grinned over at Mort, "This class is real fun! I am enjoying everything about this place so far in general. I look forward to having a good look around to see what else it has to offer," he said happily in a chipper tone. Eventually his owl familiar drifted down and perched back on her Reaper's shoulder.
"..Oh right, this is Endzela," he gestured up to his Owl.
"Charmed~," The Owl chimed happily.

Clyde grinned at the other's response, curling up his lasso around his hand. There was more rope then he thought.
"Just keep trying," He replied, "I was probably just lucky today. My name's Clyde, what's your's?"
He was probably distracting the guy, but hey, distractions can be good...sometimes.

If at first you don't succeed, Aurian thought kill all witnesses try it again. It couldn't be that hard to tie a knot. Already several of her classmates had succeeded - on their first try, even.
Aurian bent her attention back to the tangle of rope in her hands. First to undo the failed knot... and then to start over again...
She took it slower, this time. It worked! Her laugh of triumph cut off halfway, the knot unravelling. Aurian huffed. This was harder than it looked!

Who should she lasso? Mercy was unsure. She closed her eyes and played a fast game of blind tag and opened to peek at who she picked. It seemed to be a rather cheeky boil. She didn't much like dealing with boils, but blind tag didn't lie. She twirled her lasso at the boil, hoping that she was able to catch him in it. She let the lasso loose, keeping hold of one end and saw it fly through the air, successfully going around the boil. She pulled it tight, to keep him in it, and hoped she hadn't knocked him off his feet. OH who was she kidding, she would loved to have pulled him off his feet.

Third time lucky? Nope, Aurian was severely lacking in the luck department today. The knot formed once more, then quickly unravelled.
"What am I doing wrong?" she wondered. It seemed that a knot should stay knotted, none of this falling apart so easily. If she wasn't careful, Aurian was going to spend the entire class just trying to get this one part right.
With a sigh, Aurian began all over again.

Ah, an animal companion! Mort was unused to seeing talking animals (his meeting with Professor QB aside), let alone reapers without weapons. Though he could imagine the benefits of an owl familiar; in D&H they gave bonuses to perception in the dark, for instance. "Is pleasure meet-Wah!"
Suddenly, a rope from behind! He was pulled back a bit and nearly stumbled, turning to find Mei giving him a "welcome back", her way. Grinning cheekily, he looped his own lasso over her in reutnr and attempted to pull her over. "Long time yes, but seeing no less skilled! Kettil, End...errr. Kettil and familiar, meeting Mei: old friend from old team in different field trip," he explained.

Oh. Oh. Aurian stared down at the knotted rope. She rubbed her eyes - nope, not hallucinating. Finally.
"Yessssss!" Aurian cheered, punching a fist in the air. Take that, slippery rope! Aurian reigned supreme.
With her knot finally, thankfully completed, Aurian turned her attention to their next task...

And another students went for him. Undoing both of the ropes, he stepped out of the vines with a exasperated expression.
"You know, a heads up might have been nice." Vaith informed Mercy, with a small smile.
Oh, there was Aurian.
Perhaps, Vaith should try to catch her attention .. with a .. vine? Fallow reeled in his lasso and rumbled softly. Despite the failure, he wasn't all that worried. After all, new person beat out new failure. The Púca smiled toothily, almost like a shark. "I am Fallow. A pleasure, Clyde. Where were you, week one?" Curiously, the Púca eyed him up and down. Had he seen him in Conquest? He rather doubted it. Fallow wasn't known for retaining much memory of anyone or anything, but he didn't think he was that bad. Rumbling over the name for a moment, Fallow's tail twisted, and he readied himself to try again.
Yes, Clyde was distracting but at least it was a good distraction this time.
And then -- success!
The Púca grinned at his captured prey, but then -- who next?

A vine hit the ground near Aurian. Turning, she spied Vaith pulling his lasso back into his hands. Aurian placed her hands on her hips and tried - mostly unsuccessfully - to fight down a smirk. "I saw that, Vaith~" she called, narrowing her eyes. So, Vaith wanted to play? Aurian was completely up for that! Twirling her lasso over her head, Aurian let hers fly in Vaith's direction. It fell short. Aurian made a face, sticking her tongue out at Vaith. It seemed that they both failed in that aspect. Lasso created: Y (4 attempts) Lasso attempt: 1/3 Successful lassoing: 0

"Please Fallow, I was in Famine last week. What abo--" Clyde cut himself off as the other threw the lasso at him, successfully this time. He grinned at the Púca before taking the lasso off him and handed it back. At least the lassoing hasn't gone as chaotic as he would have thought. No one's lost an eye yet.
"You caught me, two more to go. But back to my question, where were you last week?"
[OoC: Guys, feel free to use Clyde as a lasso target! xD]

When realizing that Mort's lasso was already flying over her in return, Mei almost snorted and laughed. "Eh heh heh. True that." Looking to whom he was introducing, she managed a small wave, while attempting to wiggle her way out of the rope. "Hi Kettil! Nice to meet you."
Managing to finally pull the rope off of her, the doll dusted herself off before looking back to the two and throwing the rope over Kettil next. "Heh heh, just wanted to make the greeting official." She joked, removing the rope soon after. "Which clan did you guys just come from?"
