Rock Climbing
It was Day 3, and once again Imryn was headed out to tackle the course for the day. Wanting to take on something she was familiar with, she headed over to the Rock Climbing course and prepped herself a bit for the long climb. This was something she could do... had done it before, and while it was exhausting, it wasn't impossible. Today however, there seemed to be a good amount of snow and hail raining down on them and her biggest worry was her wings icing up and not being able to fly if need be.
The first challenge went much like last time... somehow she managed to find another crumbly patch of rock before getting the first flag and fell off course. Thankfully she was prepared and it wasn't too far into the course to worry about iced wings.

Rock Climbing
Shaking off the uneasiness, Imryn flew down to safety before giving the first part another try... this time completing it with ease. The only thing that had her worried was the hail. Ice balls raining down from above never felt good and already she could spot a few welt marks on her arms.

Rock Climbing
Heading up towards the next flag, Imryn was prepared to deal with the fall rocks this time. Ok well maybe not prepared but at least had a little better idea of what was going to happen next. Thankfully there didn't seem to be any big boulders that could have caused too much harm... not taking more than a few bruises here and there as she snagged the second flag and continued on up.

Rock Climbing
The dragon-birds... well.... there really was no way getting around them. At least not that Imryn had spotted last time or this time. The hail pelting her weary body had only increased her desire to just make a run for it, so to speak, and get in and out the easiest way possible. Even if it meant going through a large area where they had their nests built.
Angry birds and hail tried as they might to stop her, but in the end, she came out victorious on the other side with her third flag.

Rock Climbing
The home stretch was before her, the last flag taunting there just out of reach. Hail still pelted imryn, and at this point she was very tempted to just call it quits and go back to their base camp area. No one would have to know that she quit... but somehow she couldn't make herself leave the course. Victory was so close, and it would mean more towards their team if she could hold out a little longer. So on she went just taking her time going up the last bit of the cliff, having given up on trying to keep track of what all was injured... just wanting to get the flag and get out of there. Slow and steadily she climbed up that last little bit and grabbed the flag before collapsing at the top. Anything else would come later... she just wanted to get out of there now that the goal had been completed.

Snow Dash!
As her goat clearly was not interested in letting her ride him anymore, Mitzi decided to try a different course this time. As the snow and hail started to fall, she planned to head to the jungle course, where she figured the trees would protect her at least somewhat from the elements. (And what was with this weather today?) The snow was falling quickly, however, to the point where it was already starting to obscure the path. So when her lepus popped out to say, "Did you know, the Jungle Course is the other direction?" she listened to him.
Because clearly the little turd was an idiot, the way he pointed her turned out to lead to the Snow Dash instead.
At least the falling snow shouldn't make it any harder than usual, right? If anything, the extra snow might even out some of the rougher ground.
Unfortunately, as Mitzi found once she was on the path, it also obscured the rougher ground. And the ice. She heard cracking under her feet, and as she tried to avoid the falling hailstones, she carefully but quickly moved forward. Maybe the cold snow strengthened the ice, or maybe she was just lucky, but she managed to get onto solid ground and snag the first flag.

Snow Dash!
A large cliff looked like a good place to shelter from the hail. Unfortunately, the wind earlier had drifted the snow, and Mitzi started to sink into it. Flailing, she finally managed to pull herself free, but she was shivering so hard she could barely keep going. Once she started moving again she warmed up a bit, but as she grabbed the next flag, she was swearing never again.
She really had had it with snow.

Snow Dash!
Finally Mitzi could see the finish line! The path ahead didn't look too bad, but then she heard the roaring behind her. She glanced back, and then took off running, doing her best not to sink in the fresh snow. The loose powder made it hard to gain any speed, though, and it was only luck that she noticed a place where the fallen snow almost obscured a break in the rock where she could climb up out of the way.

Snow Dash!
Unfortunately, the avalanche just kept coming. Even her lepus guide was scared, the little thing refusing to come out of her bag. (Although maybe that was the hail, or the cold. She couldn't blame him for hiding from either.) She herself was shivering; if she didn't get moving soon, she'd freeze here, and her lepus didn't seem inclined to leave to get her help. So she had to risk the raging snow before her.
She climbed down, and then tried to get her footing on the moving snow, but really, why had she thought this might work? She was quickly pulled under, and swept all the way out of the course. At least when the bogeyman pulled her out of the snow, the only thing wrong was hypothermia. But she was not feeling even remotely better until she was back in the infirmary, wrapped in a blanket and sipping a hot drink.
