Mary blinked and she came out of what ever world she'd fallen into. She listened as the other introduced themselves, a long with quite a few Chronos Knights. She fluffed her shoulders and shifted on the chair, tucking her blonde hair behind her ears.

"Bifröst Page of Chronos," she said to the group with a kind little smile. She glanced around the room before replying to Shalott.

"It's not a trap," she said with almost full certainty. "I can't tell you what it is, but it's not a trap. We were brought here for a reason, just like when we say our oaths and sudden stand nose to nose with our namesakes. I think... we should wait and see what we were called here for." She gave the Page of Earth a smile and not any form of malice, unless the other misinterpreted her words.

Mary wasn't mean to most people, she was just blunt in a way that shocked them, and had unique ways of thinking. So she was going to wait until the reason was revealed. No sense in missing out on something plot worthy.

Wait until the reason for this scenario is revealed.

Introductions, questions, guesses about what is happening -- the expected small talk flutters in the air as you and your fellow guests slowly but surely settle down in your seats. The backdrop of silence is arresting, however, and eventually you all quiet down, as if entranced into a loss for words. A cursory glance around you causes you to notice that, perhaps subconsciously, everyone has spaced and grouped themselves according to their planetary allegiances, with Earth Knights all sitting together in one area, Chronos Knights doing the same in another, and so on. There are only a dozen-plus-a-handful of you present, however, so you are all sitting much more closely together than what you feel would be the usual.

Being here is just the slightest, strangest bit familiar. The atmosphere is stern and judgmental, and the darkness above thick and daunting, but taking your place at the table and having this impromptu moment of silence makes you feel a small sense of belonging.

All is quiet, for a moment. Then... someone, perhaps you, takes a sudden breath.

"Look at this," says Sessrumnir. "It's a mess. Ruined."

"All we're supposed to stand for..." Peklo replies. "Everything we're supposed to know..."

Brief and blunt, Mont Blanc continues. "It's gone. Forgotten. By us."

The three Knights say their brief words before they fully realize they are speaking... and yet the words seem right, the vague thoughts and feelings behind them sensible, and somewhat their own. Their voices are filled with the ghosts of loss, regret and shame. These emotions are captivating and infectious, if not also accompanied by an understandable sense of confusion.

Interrupting this conversation seems like it would be rude, but on the other hand you are all Knights here.

What do you do?

A chill ran up Breu’s spine. He said nothing for a long moment but simply stood and watched even after they had fallen silent. Several heartbeats hammered in his chest as he weighed personal terror that it might be the return of the nightmare that had changed so much of his perspective on life and introduced a deep discomfort around mirrors.

In the end he spoke though, loud enough to try and carry above the others if he could.
“So how do we relearn it? How do we remember?”

He fell silent again glancing at the others whom had not yet been possessed to speak, to try and make sure they knew that he had chosen the words he spoke.

Eliza looked around as everything went very quiet, it wasn't exactly an atmosphere she liked, but at the same time it felt well not so back being here with so many other knights, kind of right in a way.

When the other's started to talk she was confused at the emotions conveyed as well as the words spoken. She didn't really understand what it was they were referring to and when the question was asked of how they could remember or relearn Eliza wanted more to know what it was they had forgotten.

"I don't understand," she spoke up, having no real qualms about interrupting,"you said we forgot, but um ... what's a mess, what's ruined, and what did we forget ... Do you even know? Does anyone?"

She looked around at the other's wondering if anyone was as confused as she was about this sudden mystery. She wanted to know, really wanted to know, but at the same time her mind was saying huh?

There had been the briefest moment of insight when Lorne, Mont Blonc, or..whoever, had spoken those words. Now though? that understanding was gone and he was left confused. And troubled. And scary. He let out a shuddering breath.

She gave a brief look toward Bifrost, wondering just how she knew that and how she sounded pretty certain about it. Was there some knight Zen state she was failing out of at the moment? This thought was not eased as three others spoke out of turn, each one saying something cryptic. Someone seemed to have the right idea, chiming in about relearning and then a woman near her spoke up in confusion.

Kyndall was just as confused as Eliza seemed to be. She was new to this whole thing. How could she forget what she'd never actually learned. She was in this to protect innocent people, save lives. If that wasn't the point what was? She didn't see anything ruined but the room's roof and the chairs crackling away in the fireplace. She was pretty sure that wasn't what they were talking about. What they were talking about sounded like a code, a belief, that they as knights were supposed to follow. She looked around, feeling lost in the conversation.

"Are you guys the links to the powers that be or are they going to do that with everyone?"

Ok, so newbie probably shouldn't be speaking up so much but she really wanted to know. She liked to think she had the right idea even if not the full concept and with that and the Knights of Destiny she kinda felt like she was on the right track. She trusted Camelot to have taught her the things she needed to know. There had to be other knights. Where were they? Did they have the right idea and were exempt from the meeting? She shook her head a little weary. She felt rather like Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table except this one was square and no one was wielding Excalibur.

"I don't understand. As far as I know we all fight for peace and the safety of innocent people. Isn't that the idea? What more is there to lose beyond that idea? Cause if it's about nitpicking and rules I'd rather not know. This double identity thing is hard enough sometimes."

And now, thanks to a twist of Fate, a room full of people knew it. If any of them were to be corrupted she'd have to worry about not only herself and Tony but her daughter and Nathan as well.

Finn was confused by all this, and perplexed by the words that had slipped forth unbidden from the three pages' mouths - but he was turning it all over in his head and starting to worry about everyone else in the room. This place was obviously ancient. Forgotten. He'd spent countless hours on Mercury with his ancestor, learning the hard way about the legacy that came with the Babylon title.

"You all... have been to your Wonders, haven't you?" he asked hesitantly. Surely he couldn't have been the only one to venture out into space, the only one to investigate their history!

"I mean," the mousy boy clarified, trying to pretend that Menachem would be proud of him for drawing this conclusion. (As if Menachem would ever be proud of him!) "I don't know about you all - but I'm descended from the last Knight of Babylon. It's a direct line."

He'd done the awkward genealogy work to prove it. "And I only figured it out because I met him. The last knight, I mean. He sort of haunts my Wonder." Finn would be lectured for the terminology later, he was sure of it. Two cents delivered, he sank back in his chair and considered his ancestor, considering all the things he still needed to ask the knight.

Their words haunted her. A shiver ran up her spine and Mary instinctively hunched her shoulders closer to her ears. Her hands crawled up her arms and sat suspended over her ears. Lilac eyes grew wide as she stared at the table.

Mess... ruined... supposed to know... forgotten.... forgotten... by... by... me her mind shuddered and she tried to form a coherent thought to keep her with the group. She'd forgotten something. Hadn't Prena mentioned something of that the first (and only time) she'd been to her Wonder? That there was something missing...

Mary was very physically in the ancient room, but her mind, her mind was very much not. Some part still aware of the group knew someone would notice her odd behavior after a time. That part tried to keep a straight look on the proceedings. Tried to keep away from the terror flowing through her, for what would be seen as no reason at all.

((For those interesting in what's going in her head: Linku))

Sedna's elbow was brought up to lean on the table, chin in palm. The voices rung eerily, although his interest couldn't have been more obvious with his open-mouthed expression.

"Well, given a couple thousand or hundred years, you can't really blame us for forgetting the entire point." Sedna remarked aloud, thinking that the time gap was a little too long for recorded or written instructions to be passed down.

He looked at Babylon.

"You're an ancestor, whoopdedoo. What does the wonder thing gotta do with haunting and lineage?" Sedna asked, without malice but he wasn't quite getting the point of impressive titles and direct lines. How did it relate to the mysterious words at hand? "Unless this wonder told you something interesstiiinggg."

Had it?

Finn only barely resisted rolling his eyes. Ryugu-jo might have thought he was being clever, but the mixed up terminology didn't earn him any respect. "I'm not an ancestor, I have an ancestor," he corrected. "And so do you. Maybe." Honestly, the sarcasm didn't do anything to convince Finn that this boy had ever actually bothered to explore the full extent of knightly powers.

"Your wonder," repeated Finn, glancing around the table with increasing worry. "You know, the place you're named after. On the planet you serve. Please tell me at lease some of you have been there."

He hadn't spent the last ten months getting yelled at by the ghost of christmas past for nothing. Finn was hardly a star student, but he did admit that this had him really bothered. Lina had told him about space like it was something he had to do - had no one informed anyone else.

"You say your oath. You go to space." Finn glanced plaintively around the table, trying to catch anyone who might be following. "Our Wonders are tied to the past, and I mean, so is this place..."

He trailed off, awaiting rescue.

Mont BLonc looked over to Babylon, the 16 year old obviously upset.

"I don't even really know what all this is! Or really what I even am! I-" When he realized his voice was raised, be clammed up and sputtered slightly, "I mean I...I uh. I... I don't e-even know how I'm supposed to..become this 'page of Saturn' again. It was a, uh, a one time thing. umm...."

Yeah, total poor confused newbie with no support what-so-ever, thrown in to a world that had for the most part left him untouched until a few months ago. He had no one he knew to talk to about this, and no council. He'd been too scared to even leave the house except to go to school.....

It upset him that obviously he was somehow supposed to just know this stuff. That someone expected him to know what he couldn't possibly know...

The venus knight blinked a couple times as people started saying weird things. Forgotten? Ruined? Oh dear.

Her head still swiveled back and forth as the comments caused more confusion than clarity. There was so much going on! Amarilla heard one thing in particular and clung to that thread for dear life.

Her dainty hand rose and she waited for her turn. After Mont Blonc finished his stuttering she said quietly "Uhm, Do we all have one? A Wonder." She felt like the kid who missed a couple days of school, only to come back and find out that she missed an entire topic that was crucial to her passing the course. "I certainly haven't been anywhere other than Destiny City, and Mexico once." She felt that last bit unnecessary, but she wanted to make sure she wasn't a hermit or some shut in type.

Valhalla glanced up and over at the other Jupiter knight when he spoke up, but he didn't sound like himself. It was the same voice, but not the same cocky attitude that he'd shown just moments ago and at the Surrounding when he'd last seen him. He vaguely thought Sessrumnir looked familiar, but then there were plenty of others who looked familiar.

"I've got other things to worry about than going into space to explore uninhabitable ruins," he shared, not at all interested in this talk about wonders. He'd had little desire to visit his. Not when there were more important things on Earth. People he wanted to protect.

Maybe he was being stubborn. He'd been to space before, sure. But why go to Valhalla when he had homework, baseball, work, and the city to protect?

"Personally, I care more about stopping youma from attacking innocents and keeping the Negaverse and Dark Mirror Court from zapping people of energy and ripping their starseeds from their chests."

A hand subconsciously raised to his own chest, flashes of memories of pain and terror drawn to the forefront of his mind. He would never wish for someone else to experience their starseed almost being taken... He was only still there because of Camelot's intervening at the last moment.

"Besides... the past is dead and gone," he said after a few moments, returning his hand from his chest to the table. "I care about the present and future."

—————————————

Sessrumnir blinked in surprise, glancing around at the others when he realized he'd said something out loud and had not even realized what he was doing. He pursed his lips together in contemplation, wondering what the hell the words he'd said meant. Was some kind of spirit taking over his body? Ha! That would be right out of a movie, wouldn't it? Then again, they were knights and there was magic and all different kinds of s**t going around in the city.

He shrugged at the talk of a Wonder. "Heard Sessrumnir was a place people went when they died. I'm not particularly fond of the idea of dying, so..." He paused to give Valhalla a nudge with his elbow, a perplexed and slightly insulted stare was given in response. "Don't worry about going to your place, either. Dead people go there, too."

Yeah, he realized that it wasn't the same. Mythology and this new warped kind of reality was completely different, but he never really liked getting too serious about things, anyway. Besides, he had classes to teach, cats (students) to herd, and tests and projects to grade. And then the bars opened, so there went the rest of his evening.

"You are 'this page of Saturn', kid," Sessrumnir said in response to Mont Blonc's worrying. "It's easier than you think. You magically turned into a knight, right? How did you turn back? All you really gotta do is focus on the part of you that is a knight, and poof! Focus on yourself as a kid and poof! It should work. If not, then there's something wrong and you should probably ask for a refund, or maybe even a manual," he added, although he was sure that was hardly helpful, but he grinned in amusement either way, hoping that the younger man would realize what he was joking about and what he wasn't.

Still, he hoped that he was somewhat helpful to the teen. He knew what it was like to be young and unsure of yourself-- No, wait, actually he really didn't know how it was like to be unsure of oneself, but he supposed he could imagine that it happened rather frequently with a good handful of others.

"Honestly it's all kinda a blur," Mont Blonc admitted, scratching the back of his head. "A manual would be really helpful though, ha ha!?" Although he was pretty sure there was no manual. Because of that, he played it of as a joke.

Then the joking grin faded and he sunk back in his chair - decent posture and the comfort of his butt be damned. The more he listened the more he realized he didn't know. Dark Mirror Court? Negaverse? Starseeds? All he knew about were nasty monsters and supposed 'terrorists.' Again - he was living under a rock. Obviously his one-time stint fighting the forces of Chaos had scared him well enough... Hopefully if he just kept his mouth shut from now on he'd at least get some idea of what was being spoken of...

"Calm yourselves, please," Camelot said, lifting his hands as everyone began to debate the significance of the words that had come from no where. Clearly each speaker had not been responsible for the idea they were putting forth.

He did not agree with what was said.

He knew what he stood for: he fought for the innocent. He subscribed the ideas of chivalry and honor as they were applicable in the modern day, in the war they were fighting. This castle, whatever it was, was not his. Camelot was his. If they shared this place in the past, it was not his past. It was an ideal, and Camelot did not go in for those.

Memories, clinging to the past, trying to revive that past: it was why they were at war today. The Negaverse, fighting for their planet, remembering the wounds delivered to them from fighters long past. The senshi, awakening for memories that no longer existed and might never again. Concepts and memories that drove people to battle, to kill, and to what end?

Camelot put no stock in the past, save as a guide to learn from. What to avoid, and how to make the present a better, safer place to live the lives they deserved. They wanted. How to find peace amidst war.

Or to end it.

"This is not the time to be judging each other. It hardly matters who has returned to their Wonder and who has not: it comes to you when you are ready and not before. If you have not heard the call of your past, then you cannot be held responsible for not answering it. You are not lesser knights for that: we are all here for a purpose, and just like the items that appeared to us when we needed them, so will our calls to history and so has, it seems, this summon. We are ready for this now, together, whatever it is. This is what we should be focusing on."

He frowned thoughtfully, looking around the ruined castle again, then up into the blackness of the space above them. Just where were they?

It bothered him how little access to information the knights had. To him, strength was in knowledge, and he endeavored to share everything he knew with those that came to him. But it wasn't enough: he missed things, he didn't know things. They needed to share with one another. They needed to be more connected.

Maybe that was why there were summoned now.

"I know I've considered a manual, too, it would make things so much easier," he laughed, smiling easily enough despite how tense he felt. He looked around at the familiar faces, and noted the little groups they had managed to sit in. Each planet and service. But they were all the same in the end.

"Whatever spoke, it means this place. This history, that we seem to share. Maybe we are to restore this place... or at least learn what it has to do with each of us? Our wonders are very important to us, but they are personal. This place called all of us, and I think that's what I'd like to understand most at the moment. Why."

Running on experience alone, whenever he had been summoned to a strange place in the past, it was for a very specific purpose. He couldn't really be blamed for thinking that way now, though he was a little narrow sighted about it, and his focus didn't like being shifted to such broad topics when he barely understood what was in front of him. He was feeling overwhelmed. Nervous, even, but not in the same way as when he fought or felt danger.

Maybe it scared him, the idea of finding something new out about them, about himself.
