Nodding at his decision, a little bit frustrated but also a little bit proud, Clarice led the way to the kitchen. Expression set and determined, she made an imposing figure storming down the halls, despite the pink bathrobe and tousled bed head. Then she opened the door and that heroic expression gave way to incredulous dismay.
"Julie."SMASH?Though he knew his hunter tried not to summon him indoors, Raeg was pretty optimistic given the set of circumstances. Clarice had to visit that Cat Circus so many times to collect all of those cannon cats for the trophy, so many times. The already irritated huntress was totally ready to smash all the things.

Jove scowled. This was definitely an embarrassing way to be carried around, and he was even less pleased when he was whirled around into the little hunter's face like a dirty rag. Like he was going to vomit on command!
As he was whirled around once more, the grumpy little wisp demanded a more comfortable mode of travel by letting his ghostly body diffuse ever so slightly. Just enough that he slipped right out of the female hunter's hand and bounced on the tile by her feet to become a tripping hazard.
He had no plans for running away just yet, not with his companion still held captive and no idea where to go, but he wasn't going to tolerate being scruffed!

Sadly, Ariane was more of a stepping hazard for Jove than he was a tripping hazard for her. She did try to grab onto the pup as it phased through her hands, but when that failed, she just... Well, stopped to let it drop to the floor before picking it up again, holding onto its body this time, hands cupped around its small, furry body.
She still made sure that it was facing out though.
With a soft exasperated sigh, she continued on her way, wondering if that meant that the poor thing had been out way too long, or if some foxfires just had the ability to do the whole 'phase through objects' thing.

Dakota grinned at Ariane cuffed the pup around. Unlike her, his puppy had to do anything and killed its head about in his arm. Overall he thought the little thing was adorable....don't get attached Dakota....Julie is just going to chop it up like fridays...roast beef dinner.
His stomach growled at the idea of food...."vomit aside...I'm kinda of hungry. It's been a late night and I've been up way to long...." he looked down at his puppy....food.

There were cannonis cattacus pets everywhere. Some were flying. Some were sitting on the counter, others were were plastered on the ceiling, and several of them had actually grown fond of Julie, who was currently hand feeding what looked like spare parts from other minipets while patting them gently.
Upon tossing one of the cannonis cattacus another spare liver piece, the Moon Hunter looked up, noticing for the first time Clarice. "Oh, Clarice! Did you know you're missing exactly one of these minipets in order to get the trophy?"
She paid Harrison and Candace no heed, despite several of the white, blue, and red minipets attempting to use the two as new scratching posts while miaowing loudly.

Harrison shook his leg, growling, "Get off." The cat just widened its eyes and sunk its claws in deeper.
With all the red, white and blue (heavy on the red), the kitchen looked like a 4th of July BBQ gone wrong.
"What are these things from, Independence City?"
He lifted his leg in an attempt to pry the cat loose, and just ended up hopping awkwardly around behind Clarice.

As the trainees holding the minipets captive began walking again, they would notice that suddenly, one of the minipets was beginning to dissolve.
It only took a second longer for said minipet, the less vomit-y of the two foxfires, to dissolve enough to drop out of the trainees' grasp entire as it barked twice, shook its tail, and fled around the corner. It was free, but really for how long?
CAPTURE THE MINIPETS REDUX - All trainees in this mission are responsible for re-capturing Jove/ the minipets before the higher ups find out that they caused a small problem. IF YOU ARE JOVE: - Every time you post, roll a 100-sided dice. YOU ARE FOLLOWING THE OTHER MINIPET TO ESCORT THEM TO SAFETY (the dice roll is where the other foxfire goes). You can roll as many times as you want, but make sure the trainees have a second to REACT to your post before you roll again. Feel free to RP/ roll/react as you wish. 1- 30: You are in what looks like an open training field. A couple of Hunters stare at you as you run by 31 - 70: You are close to the minipet labs. Sad eyes seem to peer out from within the glass doors.... 61 - 100: You are at a strange lighthouse, you see the minipet run into the strange glowing portal inside and then????? (JOVE IS FREE, he has exited out of Deus back to Halloween). - - This is now a self-run RP so make as many posts as you like/need/would like, and feel free to plot with other Hunter characters for interactions with your own as you need! IF YOU ARE A TRAINEE- You must CHASE AFTER JOVE AND ATTEMPT TO RECAPTURE HIM AND THE OTHER MINIPET. After Jove's post, read their location they are currently in and respond with your trainee attempting your best to capture them in that area. - Feel free to quote other peoples' trainees as you pass by them and involve them in the rp TOO to capture Jove. (Ie: I am Bob, and I want to tag Sally into this RP, I just quote Sally, their trainee can now also chase after Jove) - They can use whatever item at their disposal, good luck! (Though that puppy seems to be super slippery, sigh). You better capture him before the higher ups get pissed.... - If Jove escapes, its too late for you then... - This is now a self-run RP so make as many posts as you like/need/would like, and feel free to plot with Grey as you need for interactions with Jove.

Jove stared in horror as his little friend's body began to dissolve, and a short, piteous whine escaped him. It was already too late, the foxfire was going to die if something didn't happen fast! And running away wasn't going to help!
He thrashed violently in the female hunter's grasp, breaking free and zooming down the hall after the dissolving minipet. If he could catch it, maybe, just maybe they could get it back to the labs the hunters spoke of and stop the dissolving process! He dashed as fast as he could around the corner, and skidded through a pair of double doors the foxfire had left swinging in it's wake.
And he found himself on the edge of a field, with hunters fighting and sparring, practicing all the techniques they used to destroy Halloween. And the dumb foxfire was running straight through it all.
With a bark of desperation, Jove fled on after it.

Eva didn't realize that anything was wrong--at least, not until she noticed a bright-colored furball suddenly zooming past them. She managed to get a decent glimpse of the pup before it rounded the corner, noting that it looked a little...strange. Was it already beginning to dissolve?
There wasn't much time to focus on that--when she noticed movement from the corner of her eye, she turned just in time to see the pup that Ariane held wriggling free and scurrying after its friend. There was a moment of silence, and then Eva raised a hand, running it through her hair.
"Aw, crap. We...we better go after them."
Knowing for a fact that running with linked arms wasn't the wisest idea, Eva slipped her arm free from Ariane's, shooting the other girl a wry smile before she turned and chased after the runaway puppies, running after them as fast as she could and--aw man, not outside! It was one thing if they ran into another closed-off room, but out into an open space like the field?
On the bright side with so many Hunters training out here, perhaps they could get some extra pairs of hands to help them catch the elusive little fluffs. She scanned the practicing Hunters and trainees quickly with her eyes and--
"Deryk!" Oh good, a familiar face! "Deryk, grab those puppies!" Especially the one that was dissolving!

Deryk had just been in the training field at the time, practicing some 'new moves'. He didn't know a whole lot of what he was doing, but Tooley had some advice for him at least. It was questionable for how helpful said advice was. She tended to be rather indirect with the way she told him things after all. He could have easily taken something wrong.
Though, he paused as he heard some.. dogs yapping nearby? Wait.
Turning around, he saw a herd of drippy looking Pomeranian type things, followed by a few Hunters. That was... weird.
"Huh? OH! WILL DO!"
This wasn't a walk! The minis must have escaped! That would explain why they're looking a little drippy. That didn't seem like it'd be normal. They better get them back to the labs quick. Though, there was one that seemed to be fine. Hm. Well he didn't have much time to think about it. The death trainee just started to run after the pups, to see if he could snatch any of them up.

The fruit foxfire continued to zigzag haphazardly across the field, with Jove hot on it's heels. Was it... playing chase? The little ghost barked angrily, unable to use more traditional commands like STOP or STAY while he tried to deceive the hunters. Perhaps it was for the best. This one was a wild pup, wasn't it? Stupid fluff...
Jove growled as the foxfire zoomed closer to the training hunters. Didn't it know running in circles was no good?! With some effort he tried to herd the thing back to the hunters trying to catch them, but... the foxfire dashes straight through the group with a confused happiness that Jove just couldn't understand.

With a frightened dash, Jove zigzagged straight through the crowd of hunters as the little poof barreled around. He was going to get stepped on if the little thing wasn't careful! And it was dissolving even more, the fur on it's tail and backside disappearing into nothingness. Soon... well, soon the little thing would start hurting if they couldn't get somewhere safe.

Gale, who had been standing around being completely useless, followed the foxfire out into the training field.
Where he stared.
Then, with a clearly disgruntled expression, summoned his rifle, and fired off a shot at the foxfire.
Which missed, purposefully.
"WILL YOU," Gale bellowed. "STOP. RUNNING. IT IS FOUR IN THE MORNING AND I AM TIRED."
Then he proceeded to stomp over and snatch up the creature by its tail.

Both Jove and the fruit foxfire skittered wide around the smoking mini crater in the ground, eyes wide in identical expressions of shock and fear. But the fruit foxfire had better luck. The little wisp let out an indignantly surprised yelp as he felt a hand seize his fluffy tail, and yank him right off his feet into the air.
It wasn't painful, what with how little the ghost actually weighed, but he was thoroughly freaked out! Without even a growl of warning he curled up, and CHOMPED the small hunter's hand with his sharp, needle-like teeth. It was only too easy to break the thin, unprotected skin on the human. Was this the first time he had tasted their blood?
As quick as the attack had happened, Jove had let go and scrambled away after the fruit foxfire, still zooming in circles on the field.

Taking a deep breath to say something, Clarice opened her mouth and...took another deep breath. This continued for several minutes. Then a fairly melty-looking cannon cat flew into her face, and the Life assistant pretty much just growled. "Harrison. Candace. Please leave."
