[Zikomo ~ Land of Departure ~ Hallway --> Room 118]

"Alright, Professor," Zikomo snickered, turning to wave as he left, "Take it easy, now!"

She turned back to the girl looking for her cat and smiled, "Gotta love Professor Blackbelcher. He can seem scary some times, but really he's one of the nicer ones. You look pretty young, you must be new, yeah? Here, let me step into my dorm room and see if my friends will help us look for your cat."

Her room was only a few steps away, so Ziko stepped past the girl and motioned for her to follow. Morph settled back in on his Keeper's head, feeling the wear of so much excitement. When the silver haired girl looked back into her room only two things had changed. There was now a cat wearing Mizu's underwear and a kitten in her arms. She gave them all a perplexed look and glanced back at the girl.

"Hey kiddo, any of these cats yours?"

"Talking kitty!" Mizu exclaimed, more to be silly than anything. "Just be careful, Chip and Dale are very small and very swallowable. We had a problem with our last roommate's Galiant trying to eat them."

"Stupid snake," Chip said, frowning. Then he shook himself all over, as if to shake off the bad memories, and looked up at the little white kitty. "If you want playful, you and Dale should get along fine."

"But she's a cat!" Dale protested. Mizu chuckled, right when Ziko walked in and started asking questions. Ferven called dibs on the purple cat sporting Mizu's panties, and Mizu turned to face the door so that the little kitty could be seen clearly.

"Don't worry, the snake's gone," Mizu said to the new girl. Maybe she should consider raiding the kitchens for pizza or something, if they were going to have a party in her room... "The damn thing and it's Keeper got the boot when she decided to start fights in the hallways. I think you can still see the scorch marks by the locker rooms when Aqua had to fry her to break up one of them."

"Well there ya go, kiddo! She wasn't as far as you feared." Zikomo said to the girl. Their small dorm room was slowly getting smaller with all the people crammed in there, but for Ziko the more the merrier!

When the girl heard someone in the hall she turned back to the door and saw a man standing there. He was older, telling her that he likely wasn't a student, and he wasn't familiar to her as a professor. Her best guess was that he was a Galiant. She smiled at him and leaned against the door frame.

"Well hello handsome!" Ziko laughed, "The dining hall is just off the entrance hall. I could take you there if ya like." She looked back at the others and said, "Hey, you guys want some grub?"

Mizu held out a hand for Chip and Dale so they could get easy access to ride on her shoulders. The duo scampered up her arm to their familiar perches, and without pausing to think about it, the blonde snatched up her favorite pair of daggers, Matataku and Kirameku, and attached their sheathes to her belt.

"Lunch won't be until about noon," she said as she prepared, "but I think I can manage to wheedle something out of Gert for all of us. He's used to feeding me over holidays. Let's dodge the common room, there won't be anything there yet."

She started to head out the door when Chip decided to speak up.

"Oh, Mizu, we found a new shortcut," he said.

"Yeah, it's even faster than the old one!" Dale chimed in.

"It's by the entrance, there's a door to a staircase just to the left when you come in. The stairs open up a few feet away from the kitchen."

"Nice!"

"It would be my honor to be escorted by someone so beautiful." He said, bowing slightly to her, a twinkle in his eyes. As he was straightening from the bow, he noticed one of the girls take up a pair of daggers. Wonderful, she might be a good teacher for Farah. This was turning out to be an excellent detour. Moving back from the door, he nodded to the girl who was leading them, then an eye widened slightly as her Galiants, who he assumed were pets, started talking. "You have such enterprising Galiants! Would you be able to show me all your shortcuts and tricks?"

Is everyone in this school so interesting? He thought to himself as he watched another lad disappear from sight. I could have used a dozen of him, back in the day. He held his arm out for the first girl who had spoken {Zikomo} as he had said that he would be glad to walk with her. And he could be a gentleman. Sometimes.

Garret's eye twitched involuntarily and he could feel a headache coming on.

"Nothing." he said in as deadpan a tone as he could muster, making his way over to satchel on top of his desk. He wasn't at his breaking point yet, but by the light he was getting close. The only thing he could think of to do was to head out on one of his "walks".

"I'm heading out for a bit" he said, opening the door "I just remembered that I need to take care of something. Peter?"

The ageless boy looked over at Garret, then to Arty and Jack, and then back again. He knew more then anyone what these walks were really an excuse to do.

"Right, well, it's been fun, but I'd better go with him and make sure he doesn't fall asleep in the halls or something. We'll be back....eventually."

With that, the duo walked straight out of the room and straight into the group of people and Galiants making their way out into the hall. A group that included...

"Hey Mizu." Garret said, his mood slightly lightened at the sight of his old friend.

"Hey Topless wonder." Peter said to the last woman he wanted to see right now, completely ruining Garret's plan to ignore Zikomo's presence. When they got out to the practice area. Garret was going to have fun working with Peter on his agility.
