The Aquamarine Knight
Saren frowned as he heard Rubi's pronouncement of impending war. And naturally, I can't even rely on my entire family to help me, he thought. My father on some diplomatic mission for Aselia, my sister out on the edge of Wild Space, defending her planet... this is ridiculous. He sighed heavily. I guess I'm on my own for this one.

He frowned and looked around the room. Some faces showed open shock, some showed bitterness, others, quiet resignation. There were a couple he couldn't identify, though. They appeared somewhat close in relation, and one had some sort of animal on his arm.

Outside sitting under a window Odette gasped " War ?" she asked herself as Otto was trying to calm her body. The transformation could be tense on the princess's body. " Why of all times, our world has always been peaceful." The two werecreatures sat outside under the moon palace window listening to the words that Princess Rubi spoke.

ROSETTA-MY-LOVE

"I think it's a little late for that." Zenith mutters but gestures for her to hurry behind him. "This way. Just keep up, Acanoi." He glances at her with a flash of a smile before jogging around the corner.

"Aw, man, Princess Ruby is going to kill me. With a Captial K." He mutters turning a corner a bit too quickly and nearly missed slamming into a wall. "Up the stairs to the left."

Doesn't know if he's reminding himself or her, but kept going up and then to the left.

Unfortunately, Zenith hadn't mastered the 'stop' portion of this little run. Because of that, he did open the door- none to quietly- flailing to stop himself as he ends up falling forward.

Oh crap. He thought, Ruby's going to kill me! I should've been here before her but no, I'm not. Decorum decorum. I don't have it.

Lucky enough, he caught himself before he really fell and sighs. It could've been worse, but he missed some of it.

Something about war?

"War? What war?" He blinks owlishly a bit.

Samantha decided to go outside for a smoke. "So, we're going into battle soon," she thought to herself. "This is going to be fun."

Emily turned to Princess Ruby while she arrived. Intent on listening to every word she said, her arm produced a sword at the mention of war. Why would Saphir want to do this now? Now, when the Solar System has been at peace for so long?

"Well,my training has finally come to good use," she replied to herself.

"I say we start warming up our powers," said Emily to whomever was there. "Who's with me?"

Zircon Knight

War was it? Why did everything alwasy come to war. Seemed like no matter what or were, war always seemed to rear its head and destroy all that those had once known.

Thalnos closed his eyes, and pintched the bridge of his nose with his left hand as he tryed to think. There would be no easy way to tell this to Zircon. Infact he could almost already hear his brothers responce to it.

With a sigh, Thalnos pushed himself off the wall and exited the room without saying a thing. He needed to check on Theoland anyway... he could sense the senshi had grown bored and started to wander around. As he walked, he found himself behind a female clad in emerald green.

"War!?"

As much as she hated to say it at the sound of war, doubt ran through her head. Doubting if she should actually be fighting with the senshi. Why would she have to protect a queen that she barely knew, a planet that she didn't even live on? For all she cared they could all go spill blood in war.

She immediately shook her head. What the hell was she thinking? The answer to that was simple, she didn't know what she was thinking. What was she supposed to think? A war tomorrow morning? Ridiculous! She hated the thought of such violence, yet at the same time she wanted to use her rusty powers once more. She hadn't released her fire demon powers in a while. Her eyes shone red for a mere second, but then the shine quickly disappeared. As if anyone would care she said, "So that's all we've been called here for? Oh well, see ya tomorrow in the morning then." With a playful smirk she headed outside.

She wasn't going to leave the palace yet, she actually wasn't able to do that. Rani was in no shape to carry her back. She'd have to stay the night here. Why not do a bit of training while she was at it. She decended the palace stairs and headed towards the nearest tree. She looked at the tree and twirled her fingers a bit, the entire tree burst up into flames. She smirked and thought to herself, Perhaps I'm not as rusty as I thought I was.

After a few minutes of clammering, Ruby banged her staff against the marbled floor, making a noise loud enough to silence people once more. "For those of you who are worn out or cannot make the trip home and back in time, there will be dinner in a half hour in the main dining room. After that, there are rooms set up for each of you. Please try to have a good evening and relax. Your focus will be needed." She turned away and stepped out of the room, escorted by her guards. "I dont know how anyone can relax in a time like this..." she said quietly before turning to the guard on her right. "Any word from Father?" "No, your highness"

Cosmic Sailor Rubi

Ah, it seems like he missed something really important. He's torn between going after her because, well, he thinks they should talk but at the same time he's not too sure.

She was rather...aloof and cool for a princess-well wait isn't a princess suppose to be like that? Then again Zenith has lived around here all his life and well, he hasn't really seen much of a different side of her.

But that was usually because of their different stations. He could never approach someone like that before. The Guardians have always been something of a pedestal of sorts. People you look at and admire from afar. But now he's one of them and he isn't sure how to handle that.

Well, no sense of being like this. "Excuse me Acanio." He says to Bloodstone, "I'll be right back I gotta speak to the princess."

With that he trails behind her and her guards trying to think of what to say. However he at least heard that last bit. Well, sort of.

"Um, Princess?" Ah, how is he suppose to address her like this? Still he bows his head a little. "I-Well it's rather sudden. This war business. I think it isn't real yet for..um..us-them. But why would we go to war? What for?"

Seriously, he's actually confused on this bit. "I don't understand the reason."

Ruby found herself lost in thought as she walked toward her room. She hoped her parents were alright, that they would come home before the night was over, even that this senseless war would be avoided somehow. She couldnt understand why her uncle would want to do this after all this time.

"Uh...Princess?"

The familiar voice made Ruby blink, and stop suddenly. She turned around and put on her best smile. "Zenith...What can I do for you?" She listened as he spoke, asking her the same questions she asked herself all evening. Both of the guards rolled their eyes and chuckled. Ruby glared at them before dismissing them. "Idiots.." she mumbled. "No one understands the reason behind war. I certainly hate to make all of you bare the burden. Unfortunately, If we dont fight, we will lose our peace, our freedom, and our planets. My Uncle... is ruthless."

Cosmic Sailor Rubi

He nods slowly, listening to her. She's right, of course, he didn't think about it too much but at the same time he doesn't like the idea of war either. Zenith was the type of guy that simply didn't want bad things to happen to good people.

Of course, he's still unsure if he should think about the king as 'good' if the rumors were true. But then again, those were just...rumors. Not like he associates with him anyway or the queen really.

"I see." He didn't but he can pretend he did, "But, how are we to know when the fight itself will happen. I mean, will they simply attack us now? What about the people?"

He thinks about his family- his father is retired soldier but he'll come back to duty if he must and his mother still works in the palace with his siblings still attending his old school and were young.

He's still young too.

He doesn't want to think about these bad things. "Why don't you eat with the rest of us?" He tries for something else, "Or something like that? I can keep you company."

Saphir was not one to be toyed with, so Emily would be ready when the battle began. She had a moment to decide, but she already had her decision made.

Emily said, "I will be eating here. I will also need a place to practice my fighting, if you don't mind." She hated the idea of war, but being prepared for it was a practice she considered a necessary evil.

"Emily, would you mind if I joined you? In both dining and practicing?" She said to the fellow senshi. "It might be good for us to do some 1-on-1 combat."

"I refuse to do anything else here, so if you will excuse me I am going back," Seravee muttered as she walked out the meeting room. The princess had left and she had no business with anyone else. She ignored as Lockon trailed after her and let herself become lost in thought. They were not blood-thirsty warriors like the others. They were guardians protecting their realm and nothing more, or were they? She had always wondered if there was more to their existence. 'Reincarnates that come to be on earth in times of need.' She and Lockon always wondered why their elders couldn't simply do their job without needing to respawn on earth. Maybe this was why.

They arrived at the temple and she hurried to their private meeting quarters. It was a balcony behind the temple's main chamber facing their private garden. There was a chess table set up with marble pieces stationed so the twins could enjoy the view while keeping an eye out for visitors. Seravee took her usual seat by the black chess pieces and beckoned Lockon to join her. She couldn't help but notice as she walked in that even the pond which was usually still seemed rather turbulent.

"Why must we fight?" She forced herself to calm down. It was rare to ever see Lockon so serious. Unlike her, he was always relaxed and carefree about practically everything. He was gifted and had a calculating manner about him that even after years of working with him she still had a tough time deciphering what he was thinking. But he always smiled. Seeing him like this struck a fear into her heart she hadn't felt since she was a child.

Lockon simply followed Seravee after Rubi made her statements. He had a difficult time keeping up with her as she rushed to their balcony. Taking a seat by his white pieces he addressed Seravee's inquiry while placing a slumbering Himari down on a cushioned pedestal by their side.

"We are warriors in this time as well it seems, Sera." He inspected his cousin's reaction as her face grew stone pale and utter apprehensive confusion overcame her eyes. She was left speechless, and before she could utter a response he continued on explaining. "We've been granted powers by the rivers we preside over in order to help defend our realm. We must venture out of this temple and fight alongside the others as bearers of the diamond stone."

With this he took her hand and pulled her towards the pond. They didn't have much time. "Hand me your compass." They each had one, hiding behind their respective brooches. Neither remembered when they received them but found that they were crucial to completing their day-to-day responsibilities at the temple. When opened they would usually find nothing out of the ordinary, yet when he opened them this time he found that each had a big glowing diamond at the center. Each compass still seemed to function properly but something seemed different. He looked over to Himari and she was no longer asleep. Her eyes were shining and she seemed to have obtained a piece of parchment out of thin air. Lockon walked on over to pick her up and read the note. It was from their elders, and it contained instructions. 'How did Dimande know about any of this?' It didn't matter right now. He knew what they had to do.
