"Well it makes life interesting." She smiled some. The boy seemed passive? No, more curious and shy. Cedar wasn't exactly the more reserved... But hoped she wasn't intimidating him. Then looking over at the other girl. "Oh really? Well that makes a day... Interesting, meeting new people." Cedar loved the farm because there was so much nature around. But now that she's tasted the interaction with people, she enjoyed it, and wanted more of it. As a breeze slipped through the crowd again the voices from the forest came, along with the female Mononoke that had been with the professor, and boy reading, and the girl that had sat to play with the water. "Oh wow, another Mononoke. I think it's my lucky day.. " She raised her hand to her chin, and she pondered some. Maybe she just didn't get out much? But regardless she didn't want to be rude to the boy that had helped her.

As Cedar went to turn around, her eyes caught sight of Aquene, she froze in place, muttering to herself. "Now my day is ruined. I just had to see her..." If it was possible, sparks flared from Cedars eyes as she stared. "Oh!" She shook her head and smiled at the boy. "I'm sorry. I saw someone I was in the Academy with." She laughed nervously. "I'm not trying to ... Date myself, but have things changed much there? One of the students over there on the bench is reading a book I read when I was there."

For a moment, it was as if all color drained from Ruria's rose-hued cheeks. "B-but....but...."

D E N I E D.

Her twin tails drooped, as did her head, as she stared at the ground in defeat, a childish pout on her face.
This only lasted a moment before she straightened, her demeanor replaced with that of a lady raised with proper etiquette and calm. She brought her cherry-colored eyes to rest on Cruor's, attempting a distinguished air. Such things did make her ...a tad bit excited. Just a little. Just a smidgen. He was taller than her...much taller, at this point in her life, and she had to raise her chin up to be able to keep her eyes locked on his. "It's not that I am interested in reapers," her voice purred out, much calmer, though inside she was still battling herself at being denied the chance to touch a real scythe. "I just find it....lovely. It is something I want to understand and listen to."

What an odd choice of words. However could one understand, let alone listen to a simple weapon?

"I'll trade you!" her voice had lifted with a small bit of hopeful enthusiasm, as she reached into a black, cat-head shaped back draped on her shoulder, and withdraw a small doll, that appeared beautiful, yet morose. It held a small scythe made of bone. "I will allow you to touch this scythe once. It's rare and limited edition, made with real twice-cursed bones!" It hadn't occurred to her that exhibiting such an interest in the morbid side of life might make others think she could be a Majin. She knew she wasn't, so why should others think she was? Ruria realized that many others had begun to accumulate in the Town Square. Maybe he was embarrassed? The idea struck her as mildly...cute. "You aren't embarrassed to touch it, are you? It's a good deal! You'll never find one of these ever again, so being able to say you touched it is something of a trophy. Or is it...you're afraid of the cursed bones?" A coy smile lit her lips at the idea.

Kalypso made her way to where Lea and the other girl was. She looked around her surroundings and looked at all the people gatherring in the square. She a boy with long hair sitting on a brench reading a book with a female mononoke nearby talking to him.

She stopped almost in her tracks when she saw a girl she briefly remember meeting a while back. Kalypso tapped her chin as the girl's name came back to her, yes Aquene, was the girls name. She met the girl at the fish market. They never exchanged pleasanties or words but the girl who worked at the market knew her. Kalypso didn't like the vibes she was getting from the girl and left the market as fast as she could. She went to up Lea and the girl by side and smiled. "Hello, fancy seeing you again Lea."

Mina walked through the isles of the library, thinking about the person she had met recently. The recent rumors that were going around brought his odd appearance to mind. The milky eye that he had remained in her memory more than most of the other people she had bumped into. Was he the one who had been at the center of the rumor or was he human like she was? The thought floated around in her head as she looked for a book that could tell her how to tell if someone was a human or a majin.

Each aisle of books had a thin layer of dust on them, the layer got thicker as she reached the older part of the library. It had been a long time since she had been in town, the library had been reorganized since then. The history section had been moved farther back while the main study guides had ventured towards the very front of the library. She settled into a rhythm as she scanned the shelves for a book that would give her the answer she had been looking for since she had bumped into Salem.

"How do I know who is friend or foe..... I hope that other girl I met isn't a Majin or a Witch Eater." She pulled a few books off of the shelf and walked back towards the front of the library where it was less dusty. She sat on the floor and started to read through the books, it had really been awhile since she had sat and read something at a library. It was back when she had been at the Academy, she had spent a lot of time reading back then.

After awhile she returned the books to the shelf and sighed before venturing towards the exit. She wondered if she would bump into a Majin or not in Lumena. Half of her wanted to so that she could find out if there were any differences but part of her told her that it might not end as well as she had hoped. She shook her head and focused on another matter. "I wonder if things are still where I remember them to be here in Lumena."

Lumena Town Square

She held the fox charm in her hand for a moment and then walked out into the square, feeling as if it was a whole new place to her. A folded map was the only thing that could help her get around at this point, since she wasn't sure if anybody she used to know still lived here.

Rajih was heading to his seat away from the watchful eyes of reapers before he was bumped into another boy, one with pale white hair and yellow eyes. Looking at him, he just smiled as he was joined by a redheaded companion.

"Hello! Quite the crowd today huh?" Rajih shielded his eyes as he nodded, "It's any wonder we'd be bumping all into each other. Name's Rajih, I'm sorta of new to Lumena since the only place I visit usually is the library." Rajih ears perked as he heard the familiar high pitched female voice. He looked over his shoulder to see the pink pigtails of Ruria as she began a conversation with the black heart on patrol, it was funny how she managed to push herself up there but since he was distracted with two companions, he didn't pay her mind. "So you guys from here? And are you going to the Hallow's eve ball?" Rajih looked from the white haired boy to the redhead, Clearly easy friendly with them. He didn't feel any malice from the two and so it made it easy for him.

That was until he heard the annoying reminder of his rival. Who knew Theo would be in Lumena at the same time Rajih was? "It's too bad I don't have a sister Theo, Otherwise she'd be coming back to asking why YOU why you raided her closet...again. You need Phil to reteach you how to dress like a man Theo." Rajih snickered as he looked at the rival before flicking a hand at him. "I know your jealous now that I am a amazing Witch now after all, but you'll get over it eventually." Rajih looked over at the two other boys before sighing, "Excuse me for my rude.... acquiescent. He was never properly house trained before they let him out." Rajih winked at the redheaded one before crossing his arms to glare at Theo. Silent dare to say something else.

Lumena Town Square

After the visit to the tavern, Graveyard had taken to walking the streets of Lumena. She didn't particularly like the large amount of Reapers milling around, they were once a place to go for comfort and sanctuary and now well....they had changed. She remembered the night she had last seen a reaper, the one know as Cruor, a black heart. Though he was a prickly mononoke, Graveyard had taken a shine to the man. He was....amusing in his own way.

So when she smelt him on the air, her tail wagged in a little happiness at the thought of meeting up with the the dragon and headed to where she smelled him. The closer she got to the square though, the more smells she recognized. One was of the witch Salem, another of the witch eater with green eyes. She smelled Requiem, Rajih and was that...Theo? So many faces she knew in such a small place had to make her wonder just how much fate was involved. She had been fitful since the day of her dreams took control of her, restless with visions of torment, pain and the future. Even now it weighed on her. When she finally saw the Black heart, she sighed in relief and headed his way.

"Cruor." She came up besides him just as the girl with pink pigtails who was a accompanied g him went on about touching a scythe. She internally giggled at the pure discomfort on the Dragon's face and waited for his response to the girl, What was she bargaining for after all?

Lumena Town Square

Azra'iel was experiencing tunnel vision; first-hand. If all he focused on was the door, that was all that existed and he would be there in no tim----

The moment the softly rounded feminine hip [rather roughly!] bumped his own, the witchling knew he had left any and all luck he might have had back in his dorm suite. Straightening further, if that was possible, he forced a socially pleasant expression onto his face and turned to address his some-time childhood menace.

Gold met green and clashed violently, hidden behind flawless society masks. Azra'iel was deliciously smug in his inner most thoughts that Rosel now had to look up to meet his gaze. His very inner most thoughts.

Keeping eye contact, the golden-eyed boy took a deep breath and managed to summon a smirk. He offered a perfectly executed half-bow, capturing Rosel's hand to bow over. She had addressed him informally, so it was most proper to greet her more intimately. It would also make her twitch. How wonderful!

"Miss Rosel Shimala, what a marvelous surprise to see you here in Lumena! I was unaware you traveled this way. It's been years since I've had the pleasure of your company; why, last I heard your lovely name, it was linked to approaching nuptials!" Azra'iel had not planned on bringing that up, he had planned to avoid this situation entirely, but there was a man escorting her so now he found he was genuinely curious as to what being could put up with her constantly. "Is this your incredibly lucky husband? Your family must have been thrilled! How are they and how have you been? Have you come for the ball?"

It was kind of like... watching a play. He could not quite believe the things coming out of his mouth. As a child, she had made him stutter. Apparently, now, she made him babble. He was never this talkative or this antagonistic and he hated the societal game of small talk! Why did the green-eyed siren bring out such...vindictiveness in him?

Lumena Town Square

Cruor let out a quiet sigh at the crestfallen look on the pink-haired girl's face, feeling a little guilty, but not really. To him asking to touch his scythe was like asking to touch his... Dangerous and magical girlfriend. Perhaps other reapers didn't hold their weapons quite as close to their heart but he was quite fond of his, and didn't really feel comfortable with others touching it... Just as he didn't enjoy strangers touching his person.

When she spoke again Cruor slowly arched a brow, puzzled by both the girl's change quick change in demeanor and her odd phrasing. Listen and understand? His brows furrowed as he stared at her for a long moment, his suspicion stirring a little, causing him to shift, standing a little straighter, his hands flexing a little with a soft creak of leather. Perhaps he was being paranoid, but said wariness had often saved him in the past.

"Listen and understand?" he questioned softly, looking her over curiously.

He frowned a little when she offered the trade, digging in her bag for something. While she was occupied Cruor took a moment to look around the square, noting all the different people present. They all looked different than everyone he was used to dealing with as of late... And there were so many. Being in such a crowded area left him incredibly on-edge, thus when someone called his name he jumped a little.

Cruor was looking for the source when the girl before him offered her trade. It seemed that she wanted to offer him the chance to touch the scythe of a doll in exchange for her to touch his beloved weapon. He stared at the tiny scythe, then looked up at the girl and sighed heavily, shaking his head.

"Why are you so eager to touch my scythe, hmm? You realize how suspicious that seems to a Reaper, don't you?" Mostly he was bluffing, but hopefully it would deflect her efforts to touch his scythe.

It was when he was done speaking that he noticed a familiar pair of amethyst eyes to his side, causing him to blink, eyes widening a little before furrowing. He couldn't exactly complain, really. Graveyard was actually rather good humored and understood his need for distance most of the time. Most people didn't so he assumed that it was due to her abilities in divination.

"Graveyard. Fancy seeing you here. Ah... This is... Actually I don't know who she is. What was your name?" he glanced back at the girl with the doll, arching a brow. "And what are you doing here, anyways? Are you here for the ball or are you on guard duty yourself?"

Lumena Town Square

Ophelia woke up that morning with bleary eyes. It seems she has a knack for ending up sleeping at some boy's house. Or perhaps it was just these brothers. She had looked around for a moment before noticing the house was empty and it was well past morning. The note Theo left her was short and to the point. She made sure to stop and get some coffee before heading to Lumena as well.

Yawning, she pondered for a moment about the evening before while approaching Lumena Town Square. She certainly didn't expect to end up at Theo's house, let alone confide in him. But strangely enough, he turned out easy to talk to, and even showed a little concern for her well-being. He was right, though. Ophelia would get sick from worry faster than anyone else. But after last night's talk, she felt a little better about the situation. The witch eaters will be caught, and this will all blow over. Right?

She searched the crowd, immediately noticing patrolling reapers. Her heart sank slightly. Both that the higher ups didn't send her on any patrols, and that there was need for so many reapers out in the first place. Things were getting out of hand, and it made her spine crawl.

Eventually, she spotted Theo and trotted up behind him, kneeing the back of his knee and thrusting out one coffee for him. "Would it kill you to wake a girl up before you ditch her? Here's your coffee," she grumbled. And just a moment later, she noticed a familiar head of green-blue hair before exclaiming with a grin. "RAJINA~ Look who doesn't have to wear a uniform anymore!" Ophelia was surprised to see him here, and even more surprised to see he graduated. She was proud of him, but felt that this was an opportunity to tease him she couldn't miss. She pulled him in for a tight hug while still holding her coffee and didn't let go.

Lumena Town Square

Coincidence huh? Not likely. Theo's lips curled into a grin as he watched Rajih attempt an insult. "Rajih dear, you have to be more specific. I'm sure that you're aware Phil and I have thirteen siblings, ourselves included." His eyes glinted with an unspoken challenge. "Which sister could you possibly be talking about?" Theo's smile was mocking. "Besides, I'm pretty sure I'm bigger than my sisters. Unlike you." He took in Rajih's rather slim figure, a derisive smile on his face. He bent to whisper in Rajih's ear. "After all, you've clearly not been doing much besides reading and drinking milk." He murmured softly. Turning to face the two strangers that Rajih had been addressing, he introduced himself.

"Forgive my rudeness. My name is Theofratus Menniadis." He smiled winningly, determined to get Rajih for this. "My friend here," Theo said, placing an arm on Rajih. "-thinks he knows me very well, but unfortunately he's biased. Prejudiced even, I would say" His polite smile didn't reach his eyes, which were burning with repressed irritation. Rajih would pay if he pushed anymore buttons. Or he would now. Tightening his grasp on Rajih's arm, he allowed his hand to heat up quite a little, knowing that it would leave a slight burn if nothing. Nothing like a little sunburn, eh? He took in the flamboyance of one, how everything about him seemed to sparkle. From the extravagant jewelry to the flaming hair and the emerald eyes that seemed to stand out despite everything, he seemed to almost shine. His partner was considerably more subdued, though his gold eyes held an intensity that was rather intriguing. The comparison between the two of them... Theo would say that is was like comparing light and dark. How one stood out and outshone the other, while the other was merely there because light couldn't exist without the darkness.

A perfect balance, so to speak. His thoughts were interuptted by a loud voice and someone kneeing him. Theo stumbled slightly, looking up to a familiar pair of purple eyes. "Good morning to you too." He took the coffee with an amused smile. "So where's my key then?" Theo asked, sipping the coffee. Theo let go of Rajih as Ophelia pulled him in for a hug. "You looked bloody exhausted, so I thought it was better to let you sleep." Theo shrugged in response to Ophelia's earlier question. "Please tell me you brought sugar." He muttered, making a face at the bitter brew. He liked his sugar, and that was a known fact.

Lumena Castle Town: Square

Azaria was pleased to find that the purple mononoke didn’t push her for more of a conversation. It gained her more respect in Azaria’s eyes. She continued to poke at the water with her hand while the other rested in her lap; but kept her coral eyes on the two as they conversed.

She gathered that the long-haired boy was a student; it wasn’t long ago that she was one too, and she remembered studying fondly, though never here. She preferred to be out in nature, away from the noise and hustle of town. She’d have to remember to visit the library while she was here.

The rest of the conversation was lost to her as she zoned it out. It was becoming uninteresting. Azaria was nosy, but only as long as it held her interest. Instead she studied the ever-growing crowd around her. She noted several more students and missed her school days and the friends she had made, the very few friends she had made. She getting nostalgic and it was getting overcrowded, perhaps she would leave soon. The idea of a warm meal enticing her to leave even more but she zoomed in the previous conversation she was listening in on when names came up. Azaria liked to put names to faces.
She adjusted her body ever so slightly to be facing the two a bit more. So her name was Shaden, pretty.

She had been so intent on utilizing her less than savory skills of persuasion, that she had not noticed the presence of another. The doll still extended hopefully towards Cruor, Ruria shifted her puzzled gaze towards Graveyard, and then back to Cruor, and suddenly felt quite awkward to be silently extending a doll towards a man who towered over her, in a public street. She hastily recoiled her arms to her stomach, each crossed over the doll as she dropped her gaze to the ground. 'Hnnngh...! Why am I so awkwardddd!' she thought, chastising herself inwardly. "Name...?" she chewed her bottom lip, still staring at her feet. "Ruria....Lockewood."

She suddenly felt like a fool. Of course he wouldn't understand her when she spoke of understanding and listening to a weapon. Weapons, like objects, if you knew the right way to ask, they could tell you many things. Wonderful things....secret things, and sometimes, terrible things. (Like the incantation to summon two amazing and powerful skeletal servants, who in fact were only Bitter and Biter, who were anything but amazing, and their only strength was to harass, and harass well.)

When she finally raised her eyes from her sudden and keen interest in her shoes, she saw a flash of teal hair across the street, and momentarily met eyes with Rajih. Still a bit flushed, she gave a slight smile and waved her hand gently in a friendly gesture. Her eyes stayed on him a little bit absentmindedly as he turned away to resume his conversation with his assumed friends. "I apologize, if I made you uncomfortable or suspicious. I'm just a student who truly wants to learn as much as she can." She turned her head and politely smiled to both Cruor and Graveyard, before raising a hand, tapping it in the air gently before she turned on her heel and tottered away.

'Maybe there's a fancy pastry shop nearby. That'd really hit the spot.'

Rajih caught the little wave from Ruria before somewhat returning it before his attention was again caught by Theo and his companions at hand. He attempted to ignore the snide comments from Theo before his eyes narrowed into slits.

"Apparently you didn't get the joke but that's okay. Your a simple one after all." Rajih smirked as he patted his "friend" on the back. "Do you even realize what you said? Your bigger then them? I'm bigger then you idiot. You really need to take a closer look at yourself." Rajih stood proud, waving his hand at the height difference, he did have a couple of inches over his rival and that gave him a unspoken advantage. Of what? he wasn't sure but it did stoke his ego to know he had one thing over the other witch.

"Yes forgive his rudeness, he doesn't know how to speak anything but caveman." Rajih made a point of mimicking the cavemen at Theo before straightening. "I am not biased." Rajih gave him a blank pointed stare before turning his head at the other two boys and whispering, "Theo's just paranoid, he thinks I'm after him in some way or other. He's a little conceited like that...." Rajih eye's blazed as he felt the burn on his arm before he grabbed Theo's arm, cool water seeped into the other boy's hand like the pinprick of needles. "Be careful Theo, Don't want to cause an all out battle here do you?" Rajih smiled dangerously at his rival.

He was more pleased when Ophelia came up and knee'd Theo, chuckling at their exchange and his rival's pain all together. How Ophelia and Theo knew each other didn't matter, As long as she kept up that kicking of him. When she turned her attention to him though, his eye's bulged as he backed away..."Yo Ophelia! Haven't seen you since-unf" He barely got out as she smothered him in a hug, hugging him tightly. Awkwardly he patted her on the back...one...two...three....Okay how long was she going to hold onto him?

---

Graveyard waited as the girl spoke her piece and the exchange between Cruor and her before facepalming. Cruor really had no delicacy with the younger females after all. Then again, in these times it was any wonder he was being so cautious.

She turned her attention the younger girl who introduced herself before smiling softly, ears perked. "Hello Ruria Lockewood. That is a cute doll, A shame it didn't work its trick on our grumpy dragon here." She cocked her head, "It's too bad that you will not be able to befriend the scythe." her eyes twinkled, she had only heard small rumors of those who talked to magic inside of magic, to see the young girl who obsessed over the magical weapon only made her assume that was what Ruria was after. When the girl departed, Graveyard only shook her head before looking at her companion.

"I was on patrol I suppose, Not really stationed to this particular spot but then again, I am not particulary stationed anywhere." She stretched as she watched the witches and witchlings interact. It was odd to her, to think of them all as the same age as her. She was young for a Ars Lilium, but because of her Mononoke traits, it was also any wonder she was the way she was.

"I don't think I will be attending the Ball save to be on duty though Cruor. It's a shame really, I hear it is a fantastic event to partake in." Smiling she looked over at the man, "And how did one as yourself come to be guarding the Lumena residents? and such a populated crowd, I am surprised you aren't perched in solitude or in the shadows watching instead." She coyly hinted at their first meeting, when he had appeared literally out of no where. Though, Speaking of shadows, her familiar had yet to make a appearance in her time in Lumena. She wasn't sure where her magic had wandered too but it would nice if Savage at least checked in once in awhile.

The redhead couldn't help but chuckle. This teal haired young man was quite pleasant. "It really is. Can't believe there are so many out and about right now. Haven't seen Lumena this full of people since we moved here." Lycander offered a smile to his companion, Requiem, before grinning at the teal haired boy. "Rajih, is it? It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Lycander. Oh, you are new to Lumena? How do you like it so far? I grew up in Moonfall, but my roommate and I got an apartment here recently. I must admit, this is quite a lovely town." He tapped his chin, trying to recall the library. "Must admit, I've not frequented the library here much. Requiem might have." The redhead gave his friend a smile.

"Yes sir. We definitely shall be going to the Hallow's Eve ball. I am not able to resist the chance to claim a dance or two with this charmer here. What about you? Will you be attending?" Perhaps they could meet Rajih there. More people to meet up with would be fun!

The arrival of the second young man earned a slow once over from Lycander. Well now, he was interesting. Judging by the greeting Rajih gave him, the two knew each other. Quite well. Lycander grinned and waved off both apologies while turning a bright and cheerful smile towards Theo. "It's quite alright. No need to apologize. And it's a pleasure to meet you as well. I'm Lycander." He paused for a breath, then added, "Forgive me for seeming rude, but might I ask what you are? A witch I presume, but you have horns." He was definitely never one to beat around the bush. One could not gain answers without asking! Besides, he didn't mean to offend. Was merely curious.

The arrival of yet a third person, this one female and quite lovely, had Lycander laughing. What had Rajih called her? Ophelia? "My, you are just a popular man today." He teased Rajih, turning towards Ophelia. "And who might you be, my dear? My name is Lycander."

Lumena Town Square

X's eyes flickered boredly towards the girl.

"I have little interest in things such as that," he replied, giving a disinterested twist of his wrist. The branch in his fingertips snapped instantly with a small crack, the pieces floating away into the fountain. "I find it quite excruciatingly dull in this town, after all. There is nothing to keep my attention.

"At least not yet," he muttered, mostly to himself, as the girl turned away from him - there was another sitting on the fountain, this one reading a book. It made X cringe internally - the quiet, bookish types were never anything to be concerned about, and Jekyll gave a low hiss in his ear, tail curling about the arm of his master.

"Children have such dull fancies these days," X murmured, breathing out a gust of smoke from between his lips as he eyed Shaden, as she had introduced herself as. "Why must everything you do be so very ordinary."

It was not exactly a question. The professor turned his head away, staring idly out at the crowds that were forming here an there.

"So very, very ordinary."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

He jerked to a sudden stop, an arm looping abruptly through his own, though Requiem had been able to taste the scent of pumpkin and spice in the air long before he heard Lycander speak.

"You're always distracted by something," he murmured quietly, fingers automatically moving to curl around the redhead's. Turning his gaze upwards, Requiem's eyes found those of the teal-haired young man who had introduced himself as Rajih - a seemingly pleasant sort who was quite cheerful.

At least until they were joined by someone dressed entirely in blue. Requiem, still not used to the large crowds that Lumena offered, instinctively slipped sideways, out of the spotlight of Rajih's prying eyes, moving so that he was half beside, half behind Lycander. He was not shy; not really, but the wariness associated with what exactly he was, was a trait that he had yet to break. Despite his stature as a fully fledged witch, Requiem had seen no change in the demeanor of those who disliked the Majin, who mistrusted based solely on rumors and a long-ingrained, irrational hatred for things they could not understand.

No sooner had Rajih and the newcomer - having introduced himself as Theo - begun to bicker than they were joined by yet another person. This one, however, was a young woman with pale hair and a great deal of affection for both of the boys.

It made Requiem vaguely uncomfortable and very out of place. His face closed off, adopting a noncommittal, dispassionate expression that might suggest he had no idea what was going on, Requiem pressed his shoulder against Lycander's, glancing around at the crowded town square

"...you going to the Hallow's Eve Ball?"

Caught up in his own thoughts, he nearly missed Rajih's question.

"The Hallow's Eve Ball?" Requiem repeated - the first time he had spoken since apologizing for running into the other. "Er..."

He trailed off, wondering what exactly to say to that, but at least he was spared from answering by the change in topics. Requiem lapsed back into a muted silence, wondering how best to introduce himself while simultaneously attempting to dispel the wariness that had settled over him like a cloud.

Lumena: Town Square

Not at all offended or minding the pale woman's choice to remain silent, he simply gave her a polite smile and nod, before looking to the reaper again. He'd never met one before, and thus had no opinion or views on them in the slightest. But this one seemed rather friendly. "Yes, I do tend to get a bit lost into my reading." he admits with a semi-bashful texture to his voice. But with his attention no longer focused so intently on his studies, he could really tell just how cold it was getting out, making a subtle shiver nibble down his spine. Closing the book fully, he tucked it away securely into his knapsack resting beside him; a messenger bag that was already stuffed with a few other school books and notebooks. It was clear that school had ended not too long ago for the day for him.

Of course, with his attention focused on the reaper before him, he really didn't notice any of the other's paying him attention from afar. Thus, he didn't give them any sign of acknowledgement. Out of ignorance of simply not knowing, not negligence. That calm, kind smile kept it's place on his gentle features, a very quiet giggle keeping internal from the older woman's response. He wanted to ask further on the article, but found it probably not the most appropriate at this time... especially seeing as they'd just met. Perhaps at a latter occasion if they were still engaged with one another, or bumped into each other randomly. "You're very welcome." For now, basic introductory was in order. "I am Athir. It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Shaden." it was the proper way to address one older and in a much higher rank than you, right? at least.. that's how he'd been raised. "Are you growing cold out here as well?" he asked curiously. It did appear that others were becoming effected by the relentless n** in the air, retreating to warmer places such as shops, pubs, the indoors in general. Perhaps she was headed in that direction as well?
