Junko was walking along contently with her companion cube and reflection when suddenly she saw it. The cake. She blinked, standing there and just staring at the cake. Cakes were not sentient. They did not move. Why was this cake here? Did... Oh no. <******** no. "Are. You. KIDDING ME?!" The ghoul shouted angrily at the top of her lungs. Her voice echoed and bounced off the mirror walls, growling and clenching her hands around the edges of the companion cube. Seriously?! SERIOUSLY?! All this and she--UGH! She was so ******** done with this maze. So. ********. Done. She wanted out. NOW. Junko kicked the cake, not noticing that her foot went right through it without doing anything to it, and stormed in the direction she had just come from. She was so angry. So angry. It's okay! You'll find our way out! These things happen for a reeeeeeeason~. The cube sang. "Yes, it's alright. We're here to help you. Don't ever forget that. You'll get out of here safe and sound. We promise." Her reflection spoke in its soothing voice, effectively calming her enough to notice she was walking on broken glass. Junko blinked, looking down and noticing she was walking on the mirror she had just broken. Perfect. Junko walked through it again, finding herself in the part of the maze she had just been in. Again. Quote: Section 3: 1d101: Hello, person, look at your maze, now back to me, now back at your maze, now back to me. Sadly, you're alone in this maze, but if you stopped getting separated from your group and started keeping a close eye on everyone, you could be as awesome as me. Look down, back up, where are you? You're still in the maze being watched by the GM running this room. What's in your hand, back at me. I have it, it's the luck you need to get through this maze to proceed on. Look again, the luck is now a minipet. Anything is possible when you roll a one in the middle of a dice game. You need to reroll a 1d10 and quote Marushii with your minis SN. 2, 3, 4: You're so lost. So, so lost. So reroll and try again! 5, 6: You made it! You continue on to the final section, Section 4. 7: You're lost. So, so very lost. What do you do? Easy: you follow someone. Pick a random group member, don't look at their roll. Treat what they got, what you got. Reroll or proceed as needed. 8: No. No. Hell no. You did not just go back to Section 1. But you totally did. Except you somehow navigated it and Section 2, lucky you. Reroll 1d10 and try again.9, 10: Yep. Still lost. Reroll the 1d10.

Aurian threw an embarrased smile at Seiji. Of course someone else had been here to witness that. Oh god, if only the floor would open up and swallow her... oh wait, she could totally do that, sinking into shadows. 'No,' she scolded herself. She was going to be good and brave. No running and hiding (not yet, anyway). A sore nose and a laugh from someone else wouldn't kill her. "Alright, let's find an exit," she told Seiji, pumping herself back up. Which was why she suddenly tripped over a slight bump in the floor. Of course.(( HP: 25 - 2 = 23 ))

"You sure?" Again, she seemed okay, but you never know.
Of course she was laughing it off, and that had to be a good indication she wasn't hurt too bad. Least not until she tripped, pitching towards the floor.
"Aurian!" He made a grab for her, but he couldn't move fast enough to keep her from hitting the floor. Instead he'd help her back to her feet, a little hesitant to let her go again now that she'd managed to hurt herself twice in a row. "Are you really sure?"

Aurian flushed almost as red as her eyes. "Thank you," she said, not meeting Seiji's eyes as he helped her to her feet. Oh yes, Aurian was doing a great job of proving just how strong and independant ghouls were, like they'd told the boils at the start of the field trip. ... They'd gotten the 'trip' part right, at least. And there was nothing attacking them right now, which was a plus. Aurian was doing enough damage to herself without something else assisting. "I'll be fine," she told Seiji, trying to smile. She turned a determined gaze back to the maze. "Let's just get out of here." She rounded the corner. A piece of broken mirror sliced through her arm as she brushed too close. "Ow," Aurian said absently, then looked down to see what was wrong. At the sight of blood and ripped fabric, she complained, "My costuuuume!" The many 'accidents', she was becoming accustomed to. The damage to the precious outfit made for her by Junko and Mai? Not so much. Quote: Section 1: 1d6 1, 3, 5: You stumble around, disoriented. Roll again.
2, 4: Success! You make it through the first part. Proceed to Section 2.
6: SCREW THIS! You become frustrated. Or angry. Or very sad over the fact that you're lost. Whatever you're feeling, you manage to hurt yourself for -2 HP. Roll again. [[ HP: 23 - 2 = 21 ]]

Seiji didn't quite look convinced by her reassurances, but then why should he? She kept hurting herself. No sooner had he picked her up and set her back on her feet, then she'd turned around and sliced her arm.
He sighed, back hand raising to press his palm against his left temple as he looked down at her. "I'm sure Junko can fix it."

Aurian kept wandering. At least she didn't hit anything this time. But if she didn't get out of this maze soon, she thought she might just start beating her head against the mirrors til either they or she broke.

((What are the chances of rolling 3 four times? xD)) So wander they did. Absolutely aimlessly. It was getting them nowhere fast. "Is it just me, or does it feel like we've been walking around in circles?" By this point he was pointedly ignoring the gruesome scenes in the mirrors around him.

"It feels like it," Aurian agreed. She'd thought she was sticking to the outside of the maze by always taking the same turn, but maybe it wasn't that simple.
"It might be a magic maze?" she suggested. "Maybe the exit doesn't even appear until we satisfy some other requirement."
It was enough to make even Aurian gloomy. Until she turned a coner ahead of Seiji and squealed. "OH THANK JACK, A DOOR!"

"Ya," he agreed. "It doesn't feel like it, we're turning both ways, but we're getting nowhere." Bandage wrapped knuckles slammed into the reflective surface of the nearest mirror, and he scowled as his reflection stared back at him with blood running down it's face from where his fist had impacted. Ha, funny.
"Maybe, I dunno what though." He was willing to believe anything about the maze at this point, except that he had an exit..
Or maybe it did.
"What?" He watched her hair disappear around a corner and rushed forward to follow.
Straight into a wall.
Bouncing off, he cursed loudly, rubbing at his nose. What the jack?! Where did Aurian go? "Aurian? Aurian!?" ((37 - 2 = 35))

Fingers rubbing at his nose gingerly, the ghost stared at the mirror in front of him as if by death glare or will along the glass would slide away and reveal the door Aurian had disappeared through.
It didn't work. He glared harder.

"Seiji?" Aurian had expected him to be right behind her. She turned around. The corner she'd just come from was gone, solid mirrors having taken its place. Aurian felt very small. "Jackdammit."
Her first instinct was to go looking for Seiji. Luckily common sense kicked in - then they'd just both be lost in the maze again, looking for each other. Better that one of them stayed put while the other tried to find them.
A familiar voice called her name, faintly as though from a distance. "Seiji! The door's over here!"
While waiting for a response, Aurian slumped to the floor, wedging herself in the doorway so it couldn't disappear while she wasn't looking. "I'll just... wait here."

Further glaring did absolutely nothing.
A growl bubbling up in his throat, the boil brought a foot up and slammed the wooden heel of his sandal against the face of it. The resulting shatter of glass was satisfying up until a heavy chuckle fell against his leg, slicing through the wraps and right into his skin, black blood seeping up to stain the gauze around it. "Jack ******** damnit.."

Busy nursing his now injured leg, Seiji failed to notice the door that was hidden behind the mirror he'd just shattered. Perking up immediately he straightened, yanked the door open, and stepped through, almost tripping over Aurian in the process.
"s**t, sorry!" A rather undignified hop was all that saved the both of them from him landing on her, and he regained his balance just past her, a hand groping at the wall.
