Haikyo watched the going-ons in horror. At first he had been unsure of what was happening--having very little experience in genjutsu. But shortly after he had heard the whistle coming from Theodore, and made his connection to the boy, Nisha stopped in her tracks. She was just standing there. He thought, at first, that she was just scouting the area out, but then, as time moved on, he realized something was not right. The dogs suddenly woke to the sound of the whistle as well, and then they were running at her, aiming to take her down. Dammit all to hell...they had been caught. Haikyo had no choice but to rush in, now. As the dogs all jumped towards Nisha's still body Haikyo blasted into the opening. His fist struck across the side of one dog's head, knocking it out instantly. But another landed on him, sinking its teeth into his arm, and he hurled it away from him in anger.
Swiftly he worked his way through the dogs, and as he was finishing up with them, Nisha would be just coming back to her senses. At this time, Haikyo could also hear a scream coming from the side of the house with the cellar door. Immediately Haikyo's spirit jumped to action and connected to Theodore, who would have just been dislodged from his nightmare. Haikyo could feel everything now...the genjutsu had fallen, and the enemies were laid bare. Immediately, Haikyo spoke orders into Theodore's mind. They were dealing with multiple targets. "Theodore, there's a genjutsu user out here with us--they've been playing with us. You need to find Nisha, and you need to stay with her. You guys will be safer together. I will focus on the second target alone. Be careful. Run if you have to!" Haikyo stated, speaking, once again, directly into his mind.
The enemy had caught them out of their element, however, and that was going to be a problem. The big man, the one with the tiger had already moved from his position inside. He was no longer seated on the top floor, but instead he was standing in the front of the house, now, looking down at Haikyo. "Hey. I member yoo! Yoo one of dem guys I burned up in the hotel!" The fat shinobi stated, chuckling to himself. Haikyo's fists balled up, anger filling him as he looked at the man. "Yes. I am one of those people...but in these last months, I have changed. And, believe me when I tell you, the people you murdered in that hotel will savor the sight of your end." Haikyo state, his fist clenching as he looked at his enemy.

As you find yourself walking down the alleyways toward the meeting point, the roads will twist and bend. The alleys will seem to close in on you, and then suddenly, you will find yourself still standing in the front of the building, as you had been when you were scouting the house. You are sure you had just experienced yourself leaving the area--but here you now are. The dogs are hanging from your limbs, their fangs sunk deep into your arms and legs, the pain will seem very real, and very unbearable. Then, as you snap out of the genjutsu, Haikyo will have subdued the dogs. You were never bitten, but it all felt perfectly real. You never moved from your spot as you were walking past the house. When the whistle sounded, you had been caught in the mysterious stranger's jutsu.

As you leave cover, running toward the cellar door, and you finally reach the position, the handles to the cellar will suddenly sprout nails, driving them through your hands. This pain will feel absolutely real--and the more you struggle the worse it will become. As you try to escape the nails, suddenly you will dislodge from the cellar door--your hands completely unscathed. In this moment, you will hear Haikyo connect to you, and you will get your orders to regroup with Nisha.
[Ooc: Just so you guys know, the real battle is about to start. The enemies could show up at any time, now. Mist, if you don't want to use the stat system in an actual battle, you need to exit now, just having Theodore run back to the safehouse, for now. If you want to participate in the battle, then you can stick around. ^-^ But death is death here, and if you die, you will need to do the whole afterlife thing. xD ]

As she walks back onto the building Nisha signed dishearten that she was unable to notice the genjutsu on her, or even defend it which made very little sense, it was due to the dogs hanging off her that she guessed that was a genjutsu as it was unnatural for the dogs to just be biting her and not pulling her to the ground, and the lack of action and sluggish reactions of her body as she feels the dogs sinking they fangs into her, pain rushing though her body and causing her to winced in pain, tearing up a little as she endures the dogs biting down on her limbs, as she takes a deep breath waiting for the genjutsu to fall and wonder if the dogs would be really biting her, if so she would be on the ground as they would have pulled her down.
Tears still wet on her face Nisha returned from the illusion, still standing Nisha was relieved that the dogs hadn't attacked her and notice Haikyo, with her Byakugan to look at the chakra around her body that was needed to alter her sensing and following it back to the caster of the Genjutsu, a pair of long gloves appear on her arms with a pair gauntlets appear over her hands, before she touches the back of her bag and taking out a silver shield with a intricate designed on it, holding it along her right arm, from what she had learned from the Sword forms of Aren this type of shield was meant to be held so the point of it could be used to stab with if the wielder was throwing a punch, then placed her left hand on the back of the bag and a dull silver and blue sword with several cyan gems in it, with a large one in the cross guard, a few smaller ones along the handle and finally another larger one as the pommel.
With a slow and deep breath Nisha followed the chakra that had been used to alter her senses back to it source and Nisha gained a wicked smile on her face, as she did so her canine teeth seemed to have gained some length to them as she looked for her target, as Haikyo move to look at the main target of this mission, Nisha guessed it was going to be her and Theodore to deal with any others and the person who had cast the genjutsu was her first target, she prepared to start fighting.

Looking down he pulled but they seemed to grow their own sense of direction as the nails bent around hooking back through his hands piercing through the palms and now the back of the hand. Screaming louder he felt to his knees, the rusty metal scrapping his flesh as he cried hard. “Help me!” He screamed loudly, he jerked around un able to control his body at that point from such pain. It felt like the pain was everlasting and finally they dislodged. Falling back, he screamed and looked at his palms, no nail marks. Flipping his hands around he only saw the same thing he saw every day. Panting hard he scattered to his feet and stumbled backwards, the voice re-appeared in his head telling him to go find Nisha. Breathing heavily, he nodded and took off running stumbling he slid to the street as he looked down it, it was a straight shot to the base. Maybe it would be best if he just ran away, stumbling that direction he looked at his palms as he felt his eyes watered. “Mom…. Dad…. I can’t do this!” He said in a hushed voice, stumbling towards the base a few more feet he cried, his eyes not leaving his palms of his hands. That’s when it hit him like a brick, a memory that re surfaced after years.
‘Son, when you grow up, you’re going to deal with a lot of stuff in life. Some may be as a ninja…’ It was his father speaking, words of encouragement. He remembered it so well, life was beginning for him. He had fallen during a school fight that broke out, and he was beaten. Theodore remembered that like it was yesterday, ‘But, never forget there is no shame in running…. yet, if you run…there isn’t any turning back. When we run, we let people down, or we cause pain to others we could prevent… Son, running is not shameful, it’s what can happen from it….’ The memory cut out there, it was weird but his sadness was gone. Looking down at his hands he gripped into a fist. Turning he took off running to Nisha, He could die. It could be as simple as the end for him, but he was going to have to fight eventually. This was just the beginning of it. He was ready.
Running down the street Theodore came to a halt as he saw Nisha. “Ok, I’m ready!” He said tightening his head band. Fist gripping, he took a deep breath in, popping his neck he wasn’t scared anymore. He was determined that he was going to win. And death or not, he wasn’t going to stop fighting.

Haikyo knew that a short distance around the side of the house, the two other teammates were getting ready to fight a second enemy shinobi. It was bad luck that someone else had been along with this man...he had wanted to come alone--to just do this himself and fight the man...but it seemed that was not going to be the case. He had made a mistake to try to use Nisha to scout the place out...he had put her in harms way...he had failed her. He clenched his fist as he stood there, however, narrowing his eyes. He had let himself loose his concentration, thinking about those kids, and when he looked back to the place the man had been standing before, his heart skipped a beat...he was gone. 's**t. How could I be so careless.' He thought to himself, his eyes darting around the man's home. This was bad. Sure, it was on the outskirts of the town--a hill behind the house, and a fair bit of space between any other homes. But...this could cause a lot of damage to the area. It had to be dealt with quickly. Haikyo backed up from his original position until he could see Nisha and Theodore. His souls continued to keep an eye around him, now, looking for the man to reappear and try to strike.
"I'm sorry for getting you guys involved in this. It was my fight. I'll do everything I can to get you back out of it!" He growled across the way. He would not let his mistake be theirs. He couldn't. The dogs had already chewed on his arms when he had batted them away from Nisha. But, he had plenty left in him. He could only hope that the others would as well.

A shadow hopped between buildings across the street in a descending zigzag pattern, disappearing once it got near street level. A few seconds later the walls of the buildings exploded outward. Chunks of brick and other material fell onto the street, narrowly missing the trio of Leaf shinobi that were on opposite sides and causing a plume of thick smoke to rise into the air. When the smoke cleared there was a large mound of debris that split Haikyo from Theodore and Nisha. Atop the mound was a man gazing down at the seemingly more inexperienced ones. "Sorry, but i can't have you two butting into my comrade's affairs. No need to worry, though. I'll keep you two entertained with my Dynamic Abilities!

Haikyo had lost track of where his enemy had gotten off to, but as he turned back around to see his own teammates, suddenly there was a man running through the streets, and as he did he collapsed the homes and stores of multiple people to create a wall between Haikyo and his friends. This was an issue...Haikyo was here to put away a criminal who had no regard for human life. But, because they had not had enough time to truly strategize, he was ending up causing more trouble than he had to. He was going to need to take this guy in to the authorities after this...there were going to be some really angry homeowners. Haikyo only hoped that nobody was killed by the collapse. It was at this point that the man he had been looking for showed up. Haikyo narrowed his eyes as he looked at his enemy, his jaw and fists clenching as he was finally face to face with his enemy.
"Right. You only massacre innocent people when you get money for at least one of the targets, right? Sorry...But you won't be getting any payment for this one. The people who burned alive in that hotel...have come to collect." He growled. Haikyo and the man were right in the middle of Tanzaku city...The man's partner had already caused so much damage to the city... he doubted the man would listen to reason, but he had to try. "This is happening...Regardless of what you think or want. But you've hurt enough people. How about we take it outside the city limit? Nobody else here needs to die." He stated, praying the man would lead the way out, and they could settle this without involving another innocent child or elder in this city.

I'm back and as Sai said, this is an NPC and as such don't expect complex dialog or interaction. Consider a win or loss here a plot device and less of a major event.

"Hmph...you think your my first mark kid? The only place you are going is with me to collect. Like I said, I ain't getting paid to babble. Either run and get chased down, or make my job easier to fight me right here right now" The mercenary didn't give his target a chance to decide, rather he sets into a string of hand signs before leaning back and expelling a belch of fire that lifted just above his head, from it emerged a spitelike spirit made entirely of fire. He reaches out both hands and allows the spirit to split in half and begin rotating around both arms, elongting themselves with each rotation until four whips made of fire expanded several feet from his arms length. Without hesitation, and with complete disregard to his surrendings, the mercenary begain lashing out towards his target, carelessly striking at the ground and at the remaining buildings around him. Though he wasn't specifically targeting anything other than the Shinobi standing before him, it didn't bother him if the whole street caught ablaze.

Nisha noticed something moving at high speed jumping back a little as it moved, a moment later a explosion burst out of the walls nearby, moving away from Haikyo had resulted in the debris separating Nisha and Theodore from Haikyo, as someone appeared from the smoke caused by the explosions and the ruble of the building, standing atop it looking down at her and Theodore, she looked at him strangely wondering what this was, but clearly knew that this would be the person she would be dealing with. "Soo, your going to fight us". Nisha was slightly confused who the hell fought two people at the same time like that, he ether was over confident and though of himself way too highly of himself, or was an really powerful, this was going to be an interesting time as it would be the first time Nisha and Theodore fought someone together.
Haikyo watched the man in front of him carefully. He was obviously not the same as he had been before. The man he had met before summoned a tiger and toddled around like an infant stuck in a grown man's body. Something over the last little while had changed him, just like Haikyo had undergone a severe change as well. He had spoken about how Haikyo wasn't his first mark...so...he had been trying to target Haikyo of all people, when he had attacked previously...Haikyo had always assumed it was Sai they were after. Sai always seemed like the one attracting people who wanted to kill him. But he would leave it be as it was. For now there was nothing he could do but face the man and hopefully not end up dying...or almost dying. He had one chance, and he was going to use it to the fullest of his capabilities.
The man spoke about either running, or fighting him on the spot...but now the man almost sounded like he had been hired to fight Haikyo NOW. But...Haikyo had been searching for him to attain his revenge. This was becoming so backwards. Was this man expecting him? Had he planned it all along, and was being paid, STILL, to hunt Haikyo? He shook his head violently. He needed to free himself of all of these extra thoughts, buzzing around his head. He took a deep breath and he focused as hard as he possibly could. The man was blasting forward toward him, and Haikyo knew that he did not have the time to formulate a strong enough counter to the strike...but he could throw his defense into it as hard as he could and hope for the best. He took a deep breath, first of all activating the innate extra senses of the Orasakai blood in his veins. The ability to upgrade his senses and his body's potential. Then, as the man was approaching, lashing out with the whips, violently striking out at anything and anyone in his way. The flame whips came down toward him and Haikyo attempted to dodge to the side, the whips landing strong against his leather breastplate that he had bought--however, one of the strikes still found its mark across Haikyo's upper arm, searing into his flesh and burning the skin badly.
Haikyo bit his lip through the pain--not wanting to give the man the satisfaction of knowing that he had hurt him like that...but...at the end of the day...the pain was not as bad as it had been last time. He had received a blow from the man, sure...but he was standing. Not to mention relatively unharmed. Sure the burn was nothing to scoff at, but it was not life-threatening. Haikyo smirked as he looked up at the man. "Since you refuse to spare the lives of the innocents in this city...I suppose I will be forced to kill you quickly." It was time for him to go on the offensive.

Haikyo knew it was time for him to make his move, but he didn't want to make it in haste. A battle was an art-form. Something that had to be taken time with...something that this brutish figure in front of him didn't seem to grasp as he threw about his whips with no real attempt of skill or planning. Haikyo needed to find where this man was weak--he needed to exploit a blind spot. He needed to do something. His burned arm throbbed--the flesh oozing from where the whip had landed, but he used the pain to focus--the world around him seeming to come to a standstill as he thought about a million different things. With the experience that he had gained since meeting Sai, he had actually managed to develop a slight knack for combat...though he had yet to truly exert it. Yet.
A smirk cracked Haikyo's features as he returned his gaze to the mercenary. His eyes shone like a dead star--glazed, and yet bright and aware. He was gone from his sweet young self. Now...before this man...was the man who had been tortured in the cells of Aren.
His hands blurred together a set of hand seals, and four souls rose from his flesh in spectral form--large glowing blobs of blue light that floated across the battlefield, stopping in and around various positions. From these souls' eyes, he could see from multiple angles. He could use his ability to harness other bodies to his advantage. He grinned as he felt the other souls in his body stir--his blood feeling as though it were beginning to boil. The heat of their rage filled him like the warmth of a hearth. He felt their bodies--their entire beings--overlap his own. Their souls layered themselves over his own--the victims of this man's last pointless slaughter, when he had targeted Sai. When Haikyo moved, it would look as though there were sorts of ethereal afterimages--one for each of the lives that reinforced him now.
Haikyo reveled in the pain that honed his concentration, and as he stood there, he realized for the first time how much he enjoyed it...the thrill of battle. Of danger. His body began to glow--lighting up with his soul energy as he got excited. His skin became pale green, and emitted a visible light. But, then, as he clenched his fists together, small green flames began to dance off of his skin. First it was just from his forearms, spirit-like flames--there but not really...on him but not...hovering just above. Then, it spread in an instant, his entire body beginning to dance with the pale green energy--as though it were pouring off of him. He thought about the fireflies...the ones that he had seen on the battlefield when his parents had taken him there the first time...before they stopped. They would glow so bright...like stars. And then they would disappear...and when they reappeared...they were somewhere entirely new.
A smirk once more crossed his features. He had it figured out now. A new move. He had to test it out on this man...see if it could be used. Chakra blasted into his eyes, creating twin blue orbs behind the transparent green energies whirling around him. He was using his chakra to hone his accuracy behind normal human abilities. Then, he pushed his energy into his body as well, allowing him to move incredibly fast with his fueled muscles. In an instant the green light around Haikyo vanished. With the light--however, Haikyo too would vanish. In a flash he would appear on the opposite side of the man, the light returned all around him as he stood directly behind the mercenary, and with all of his fingers together--like the flat of a blade--he thrust them forth in order to skewer the man through the throat if he could.

After successful defending against the targets attack, the hired thug grinned sickeningly. Slowly he began taking steps towards Haikyo. With each step he swung his arms in opposite rotations, creating a figure eight around him as the whips of fire continues to cascade across the battle field, setting the ground and everything it came in contact with ablaze. By now the small ember was begining to smolder causing windows to shatter, tiles to come falling to the ground in flames, and even igniting some walls. With a sinister laugh he continues to advance towards Haikyo until finally getting close enough to twist his entire body, raising both arms high into the sky before snapping them both down into a heavy handed over the head strike aimed at wrapping his whips of fire around Haikyo's shoulders.

Haikyo watched carefully as the man was able to follow his presence. Even though he had been careful to hide himself from his foe--the man had managed to see it coming. Dammit, if Haiyko was unable to reach a speed that this man couldn't follow--then he would not be able to catch him off guard...for a moment he had thought he had won before he had even landed the blow, and he took a second to correct himself, however, shaking free the thought that this may be some sort of easy contest. The flame shield that the man had raised was able to easily deter his strike, as Haikyo hopped backwards from him to reset their positions. However, even as Haikyo retreated from the shield, the man pursued with vigor. He swung the flame whips down at him once again, and Haikyo shook his head. Not this time.
His hands wove together into a fluid set of seals, and his soul energy, combined with his chakras, spread across his body like an invisible blanket--seeping even into his mind to protect him from all sorts of harm. The membrane could not be seen atop him, but he could feel it like a breeze across his skin. The man was going berserk--with each new swing of his whip, another building would catch flame...he needed to be stopped. As the strike came in, he tried to spin out of the way, but the whip still managed to graze him. This time, though, as it did, the small bit of the whip that caught his skin, instead of his armor, lashed against the gentle energies surrounding his body, and they were deterred like a match to a wet cloth.
The smirk on Haikyo's face grew...and twisted dangerously.

As he smirked toward his enemy, he knew exactly what he had to do. The man was fast enough to keep up with him while Haiyko was attacking, and as such, he would need to slow him down. There was one sure-fire way of doing that...the way that his clan had perfected over the years. Haikyo was going to pull this b*****d's soul right out of his damn body.
He could feel the chakra overflowing his body from the organ in his back--the gift of the Orasakai. It was fueling him with strength and durability that he had never experienced before in his life, and he couldn't lie to himself. When that whip had lashed against his body and did not harm him...he had felt like more than a mere man. It was a sort of power that could turn a man...something he had to be afraid of...something he had to respect.
The grin on his face snapped back to a stoic, determined, facade.
Haikyo gripped his fists tightly as he took a deep breath--the glowing energies whirling around his body as he concentrated. The souls that covered his body itched for revenge--and he would sate them. His feet moved forward like some sort of piston--smashing against the ground and propelling him forward with such incredible speed that he flashed forward in front of the man once again, thrusting both of his palms out in front of him in an attempt to smash him in the gut. If he was successful, he would infuse the man's soul with his own energy--tying them together and then he would rip his hands backwards--pulling the man's very soul out of his body--or at least some of it. Enough to charge Haikyo back up. Haikyo had a plan...and if it was going to work he needed only two more short moments to survive.
If he could charge his souls one more time...this man was dead...and this city could sleep peacefully without him lingering over it any longer.
