SHiKUYA.iNUYAMi I wish i could have cosplayed as Tomoyo-chan... I heard there's gonna be a convection where i live (California)... but the sadess thing is that i dont have any materials so i can cosplay ;-; you mean ANimeExpo?

I'd love to cosplay as TRC Tomoyo, her outfit in the first manga is just gorgeous, however, I'm so inept at sewing that I'd probably sew my fingers together trying to make it. >.<

ShiaKitty I'd love to cosplay as TRC Tomoyo, her outfit in the first manga is just gorgeous, however, I'm so inept at sewing that I'd probably sew my fingers together trying to make it. >.< that would hurt. sewwing isn't so bad if you have a machine. one year for Otakon I had to hand sew my Motoko outfit (love hina) so that was two hakamas (one as a practice to prove to my mom that internet patterns with math worked fine) and a haori. there is so much fabric in hakamas, i kid you not. 0_o

I'm really considering trying to go as Fai some year, but I think I'll have to start with Gojyo. His outfit itsn't hard and I really wanna get good so that when I make my Fai costume, it'll look better. 3nodding [hopefully
()^^] Of course, I'll about 5' 2", so I'd look pretty odd trying to pull off Fai. He's so freakishly tall! @@ [but strangely sexy for it =^^= wink ]

Jigoku_Angel sewwing isn't so bad if you have a machine. Eh-heh, I actually have a sewing machine, but ... it hasn't really helped me that much. >.< I suppose that I could shop online and try to find a real kimono similar to Tomoyo-hime's and order it from Japan. If I don't mind spending several thousand dollars for it that is ... *Finds dark corner to hide in*

since all my friends that read ccs and tsubasa call me sakura(even though i dont think i look like her....), id like to cosplay as sakura.... but how would i get all the material? her outfits(made by tomoyo) are so complex.....

little_kitty_chan since all my friends that read ccs and tsubasa call me sakura(even though i dont think i look like her....), id like to cosplay as sakura.... but how would i get all the material? her outfits(made by tomoyo) are so complex..... -sakura perhaps you act like her. do you go hanyan/floaty alot? are you always late? are you often exclaiming 'hoe?' *gasp!* THAT's whats been missing from TRC, Sakura hasn't said 'hoe' or 'everything will surely be alright'! She has abandend her catch phrases! gonk try to break it down, layer by layer, then try and figure out how the parts would be worn if they were real clothing. 3nodding HAHA! I finally got the small link chain that I needed and a ton of awesome beads - I CAN NOW START ON MY SAKURA OUTFIT! [still need to lose weight though sweatdrop curse my genes, why copuldn't I get the ones from my Dad's side?] crying

To get the material, I would head over to the nearest fabric store. You can usually find things there. Like Joannes, maybe? (spelled the name wrong)

my fingers may be sore, but I finnally finished all the beading on my sakura outfit! hazaa! I orderd styrofoam heads so I can make my wig and construct the headdress properly. I'm trying to get a tailor's manaquien, but they're so gosh darn expensive! gonk
ninja must. plot. world. domination. erm, i mean... yard sale trip. yes, yard sales... ninja
