He noticed his strength was a little enervated, but decided not to show it." Did Shiftstar mention a particular place to gather? Or was it to just go flatland?" He mumbled through the herbs. He noticed a small bit of thyme. He grabbed only so much he can carry before hurrying back to the others. He began to wonder about his clanmates, how they were... Or what about Oceanmist? Didn't she know this was going to happen? The flying questions flooded his brain like the flood that hit them earlier. A flood, an earthquake. Is there anymore that they should know about? Sandstripe thought.

Dragonfire rushed to the river bed, followed by a few panicked warriors carrying the injured. Dragonfire calmly placed Lostpaw onto the soft soil She looked down upon the apprentice, her eyes stern but not harsh like they usually were.
"Stay here. This river is farthest away from the cliffs, you are safe here."
Her ears twitched as she listened for any cats who may have strayed and lost their way. Noticing Serenepaw, the medicine cat apprentice, and Sandstripe with herbs in his mouth she approached them hastily.
"You there, do you think you and your friends can attend to the injured while you are here? There are a few cats who had to be digged out from the rubble. Sunstream(NPC) has an injured paw."

Lostpaw, who had curled himself into a tight ball while being carried by Dragonfire, felt the SeaClan deputy set him down on the soft soil. Luckily he was still the size of a kit, otherwise Dragonfire would have had an issue carrying him. On the ground, Lostpaw uncurled, but remained crouching for several heartbeats. When he had become sure that he wouldn't be harmed, he sat up and looked around. The were near the river and many cats were milling around, some were injured, he was lucky that he wasn't.
After Dragonfire departed, he looked around hoping to spot Rarepaw. He wanted to know if she was alright. The initial fear beginning to ware off, the snowy apprentice began to groom his soft fur, watching Dragonfire all the while. He had come to a conclusion, he wanted to be just as brave and as strong as Dragonfire. She was his new idol. Standing up, he padded after her, keeping a little distance from the impressive she-cat. Cocking his head to the side, piecing blue and amber eyes questioning, he asked, "Is th'r anyth'n' I c'n do t' help?"

Seaclan A new voice hit his head, one that made him relieved. The quick order from Dragonfire made his mind working straight." Yeah, we can. It just so happens, we actually prepared for this." Sandstripe mumbled through the herbs in his maw, a glint in his eyes.. He looked to Serenepaw. That moment where she held a great responsibility came. An injured paw? That should be the easiest to start with. He thought as he softly stroked the medicine cat apprentice to calm her with her appending duties, remembering she was only just seven moons old. He and Kindsoul set down the leaves in their maws and sorted them out into three different piles. He looked to Serenepaw with a fixed look." I'm going to get more herbs while Kindsoul stays with you and the injured?" He meowed, hoping she would approve a quick and efficient plan.

Dragonfire grinned her usual sly grin. "Good! We need more quick thinkers like you guys in times like this!"
She turned her head and looked down when she heard Lostpaw's voice call her. She grinned,now that the small cat was no longer trembling his courage was showing. She knew it was there, it just needed to be woken up.
"Yeah, you can. Do you think you can help keep the cats I bring here calm? You can also help Sandstripe collect some leaves or whatever it is they use."
Dragonfire then headed off , scanning the river edge of any cats who had wandered off in the wrong direction in their panicked state.

Lostpaw nodded, padding over to Sandstripe and Serenepaw. To be like Dragonfire he would follow the orders given to him. Help Sandstripe and Serenepaw. The small white apprentice looked up at the warrior and the medicine cat's apprentice. Serenepaw was only a moon older than him so that should make things easier. "Wh't c'n I do?" Lostpaw asked Sandstripe and Serenepaw. He had to make himself useful, he knew that with all the cats scared and injured they would need his help. He was also to calm the cats Dragonfire brought back, he would be her assistant! Padding forward more boldly, he stood a short distance from Serenepaw and Sandstripe waiting for instructions.

He pointed his tail to Sunstream, who was suffering from an injured paw; the first cat that was brought back." She'll need all the extra paws she can." He remarked to Lostpaw, referring to Serenepaw. He already knew the necessary herbs to get. What worried him was the young medicine cat apprentice without her mentor. He nodded to Serenepaw before turning away. He padded a fox-length, waiting for Lostpaw's choice.

I looked at Dragonfire as she told me a cat had been injured, I remained calm, but my nerves were pinched, almost causing my long furred body to shake with worry. The comfort from Sandstripe seemed to release the tension, he would help me, and so would Kindsoul. "thank you" I mewed to him, watching as Lostpaw came up, waiting for instructions to reach his white ears. "Eyed Apprentice, I would appreciate you going with Sanstripe for the time being, we don't have a lot of cat here at the moment, which means Sandstripe will need your help more." I mewed, I looked over at Sandstripe, turning to him, my mind seemed to strain, trying to remember an herb. It came to me after a few moments. "marigold, it helps stop bleeding. You can miss it, its a flowering plant" that's all i could remember at the moment, "and some comfrey if you can aswell" to bad I had forgotten what marigold had looked like, "comfrey is a leafy plant, low to the ground, it may also sometimes have pink flowers" comfrey came easy to me, since we had so much.. Since we had had so much in the Medicine Den, it had been my first herb I'd learn, Oceanmist was a wonderful mentor. I picked some cobwebs and thyme into my jaws. "Kind warrior, I want to o make sure the herbs arent bothered" the she-cat nodded her head at me. I moved towards Sunstream, seeing blood, I placed cobwebs in the affected paw area. My tail stroking the worried cats fur softly. "shh, it's gonna be alright" I purred to her, Sandstripe had helped to calm me down, I hoped I could do the same for my warriors, I made the female take the thyme, her body stopped shaking a bit, I then proceeded to call Kindsoul over with a poppy seed, I gave that to Sunstream, since she seemed to be in bad pain. Kindsoul returning to her stand by the herbs.

Lostpaw wanted to say he would help Serenepaw, but she said it would be best for him to go with Sandstripe. Nodding, the undersized snowy apprentice padded after the warrior. He would be under the instruction of this warrior, so he had to do exactly as he was told. And, to be like Dragonfire, he had to be brave and do it right. Marigold. That was what Serenepaw had said. as far as he recalled marigold was a golden flower. "Alrigh'," he mewed to Serenepaw.

Seaclan Sandstripe began to walk with the white-furred apprentice." Like Serenepaw said, we need marigold and comfrey." He stopped. He smelt the air around him. He quickly spotted some marigold two fox-lengths away from the river." Marigold looks like that." He pointed his tail to the small herb. Take a good scent before picking it up." He advised. Comfrey was a lot easier to spot though. Pink flowers was an abnormal thing to see for Sandstripe." Okay, I want you to focus on gathering marigold since we already brought some comfrey before regrouping with you guys." He ordered. Ordering an apprentice to something made him feel like a mentor, not a very inviting feeling for him yet. He shook his head of the thoughts and returned to his priorities at hand." I'll focus on comfrey, alright?"

I nodded to them, as they headed off, watching as my patient at paws slowly nodded off into sleep, I licked their paw, Sunstream would heal, that was good. My black muzzle moved open, as I just watched her fall asleep, in a concerned manner, almost motherly, even though I'd never be one by law. If I ever was one, well.. I'd probably be exiled, or forced as a warrior of the clan. I shook the thought away now is not time to dwell on such thoughts I reminded myself. I took some comfrey tha we had, only a tiny bit of it, the paw had been broken. Wrapping it up with the comfrey, and some cobwebs, I knew she'd heal. "rest for now, Sun Warrior" I mewed, touching my nose to the sleeping female shoulder, as I returned over to the pile of herbs. "StarClan, keep our clan at safety"

Lostpaw nodded at Sandstripe, padding over to the orangey-gold flower. Leaning down, he drew the sent of the soft flowers into his nose. Carefully he closed his jaws around the stem of one of the marigold flowers and bite through it. As the golden flower fell to the ground, the white apprentice gazed down at it, noting how pretty it looked. Clipping off several more of the flowers with his soft jaws, Lostpaw collected as many as he could carry trotted over to Serenepaw, tail held high.
After dropping the marigold at her paws, the undersized apprentice turned and went to retrieve more of the marigold. He did this three times until he had a pile of the plants beside the medicine cat's apprentice and mewed, "S'll righ'?"

Seaclan Sandstripe padded around the nearby area. He was cautious to not let the apprentice stray too far away away. Hasty, he accidentally stepped on a little bit of comfrey." Mousebrain, how old are you? Two moons old? There's cats out there that would have needed that." He muttered to himself. He gently tugged on the remaining usable leaves of comfrey. He saw Lostpaw go back to the makeshift camp. He sighed, two different feelings clashed inside. Glad because he didn't have to watch over him for a little and that Sandstripe himself only collected a few.
SeaclanNo more slacking off. He cautiously roamed the unstable ground, looking for the needed comfrey. If another cat was watching, it might have looked like he was just taking little rabbit-length steps. At last, he stumbled upon some comfrey He grabbed the herbs and went back to camp. He set it down to his previous pile and trotted to Serenepaw." Does that look like enough comfrey?" Much focus I had my given to the cats rummaging about, mainly Lostpaw and Sandstripe, as I knew they were herb hunting. I focused on the warriors, my watchful gaze frantically searching and making sure all cats had come here. I sighed, a bit happy, and turned a the two stronger sex's voices ringing in my listeners, my sniffer twitched, my banner curling over my fluffy paws, "yes, it's perfect; thank you both" I said with a soft smile looking at the piles. I looke at the two, "if you want to mingle or such, you may" I said to them, my ears rung as Heartshore (NPC) padded to me, almos spazzing with worry for the clan, I stroked her short fur, attempting to calm the Singapura bred cat, and giving the female thyme to calm her. "go talk to Sharkhail, or something" I mewe to the she-cat, dismissing the slowly calming down cat with a flicker of my tail.

Sandstripe nodded and padded away, but not before giving the young medicine cat an affectionate nudge to the shoulder. He saw Ravenwing and began to talk to him. Sandstripe asked the dark-colored cat if he was injured. He had a sprained paw and Sandstripe motioned him to Serenepaw. After Nightwing departed, Sandstripe went to the river. Just because an earthquake occured didn't mean he shouldn't lazied the day away. Plus, he didn't join the morning hunting patrol. He fished out a salmon and hurried back. The fish seemed scarce because of the earthquake. He gave a heavy sigh before continuing to hunt.
SeaclanIt made his mouth water just looking at it. Sandstripe crept from behind the fat water vole. He lunged at it, the hunger seemed to overwhelm him. He realized that he hadn't ate since sunhigh yesterday, reasons unknown. The vole barely had time to react as Sandstripe bit into its neck. He gave Starclan thanks before going to Serenepaw again, dropping the juicy-looking freshkill at her paws. He's had a successful hunt with a few of the other warriors, despite all that's happened recently." Even medicine cats have to eat." He said, a glint in his eyes. ( OoC: Jeebies, it took me a halfhour to write this on an iPhone XD Too bad there's no enter key. Oh, future Ornate post styles will mean I'm on an iPhone... If I can remember that sweatdrop )
