They basically believe that there are two halves of a person's soul - One is incarnated as the 'Tamer', the other as the 'Partner.'
As for Ranks - Healer/Fighter/ect is all there.
As for ranking UP, that's done ICly in one of the monthly tournaments. OOCly, we'll be running one a season to coincide with their festivals.
