"What she said." Tybalt nodded; pointing to the she-wolf who sat beside him before he shot Ren a glare; insulted by this accusation. "Pu--lease! I never start anything! I'm totally innocent!" He said; looking away as he continued to fake his innocence and doing a poor job of it.
"Ah! Jove! Don't worry! We all know your fearsome and tough!" He called and did a fist pump in hopes to the boost the little wisp's confidence. That dragon boil really was a dense one and obviously didn't know how to filter his thoughts before putting them into words.
Finally turning his attention back to the original conversation, he was about to ask what a 'devils dog' was when LW wrapped her arms around him and pinched his cheek. Causing him to make a 'mrph' like sound. "Don't need a tag. Especially after that last... problem." He emphasized the last part as he stared straight at the gryphon boil. "But yeah, I run a little now and then." Though despite being the vice-captain of the track team he rarely fulfilled that role. In fact, he probably should have set up a booth in Chuppi's place today.
Eh! Maybe next time!
"Actually, I kind of do whatever I feel like. Though if anything, I favour cross country type races. More fun. Better scenery." He said with a nod, speaking directly to Cervantes before he gave the stand another good kick and watched more arrive at the booth. Only this time he knew one of them.
"Heeey! Natalia! I haven't seen you since that trip to Christmas town!" He called and waved to fellow Oblina car member; oblivious to the tension between her and Ren. "Whatcha' been up to lately?" He asked once she approached LW.

"You both are equally guilty." The she-wolf muttered at Tybalt, looking out at Ren as well. "And neither one of you can pull of the innocent act!"
LW giggled at the demon boil. "Nah, you haven't disappointed me, Van!" She waved it off. "It makes me excited that we can teach you the joy of Skario Kart! And probably other video games for that matter." The she-wolf gave him a big smile and a wink, smile growing when he said he'd never had the chance to play any games. "Well, my dear boil, you have the chance now." With a soft giggle, she nodded. "Yep. This here is Tybalt." Her gaze was momentarily drawn to the pup, eyes narrowing slightly at his sudden stiff posture. But he seemed to be heading towards Ren so she felt he'd be alright, though she wasn't sure what had gotten to him.
Looking back at Van. "Close enough to my nose." She tapped her nose as she spoke. "You'll find that we have a variety of canine creatures around here." LW gestured to herself, Tybalt, and Jove. "The three of us being just a few examples."
That sinful voice she knew so well called her name and LW's gaze went straight to the lemur. She beamed and removed her arms from around Tybalt (after giving him a warning squeeze to behave) and was about to jump down and pad over to Natalia, when another boil caught her attention. Or more precisely, his words did. She went to answer his questions, but then he shifted gears and started speaking to the lemur and LW waited for a break in the conversation so she could answer some of his questions. What had his name been? To the scarecrow boil the she-wolf gave him a welcoming smile. "Welcome to out Skario Kart booth!" Anything else she might have said was lost when a fluffy tail captured her. With a mock sigh to counter the mock pouty-face, the she-wolf finally slid from the booth and all but leaped at the lemur, hugging her.
"I haven't seen you in forever!" The she-wolf whined cutely at the lemur. "We need to hang out soon and do girl stuff." LW's tail swished around in excitement at this thought.

When this fire ghoul, Danny, said he must be a big 'fraidy cat' or something, Moure looked at her with a very, 'You've got to be kidding me' look (well, and a bit of confusion, but whatever.) Slowly he shook his head, and pointed at the flaming tip of her tail. Maybe she didn't know that undeads didn't like fire? Tilting his head a bit, he asked, "You realize that creatures such as myself are very succeptable to fire, don't you?" He gave a shrug, and spoke again. "I just reacted to seeing a flame so close to me, that's all. I am most definitely not a fearful person." He didn't mention that elemental magic was one of the most efficient ways to take down a patchwork, but he was thinking about it as he had just spoken.
When she asked if she could see his prize, he gave her a bit of a confused stare. Why would she want to hold it? Ergg, well, as long as he was careful, he didn't really have a problem with it. (He hadn't even known he was going to get a prize in the first place after all.) "..If you want, I guess. Just don't break it...or light it on fire." He offered the blue and black ord out to her.
It seemed she was a fan of Scario Kart too. Trying to get onto a more friendly topic, he said, "So, you a fan of Scario Kart too, I suppose?" He gave a grin, trying to shrug off the fact that she was a fire demon in his mind. If she liked Scario Kart, she was probably a great person. "We'll have to have a race sometime then..." Looking at the flaming demoness, he then said, "So...any other booths catch your interest?" Might as well make some idle chat while they were waiting for the next race, anyway.
Other people had seemed to have come through, including some canine-like visitors and some ghoul student with a long two-colored tail. The Shadowmancer he had played against, Winona, seemed a bit...scared by all the new people coming around, but then someone, a ghoul from eariler, offered her a plushie to hold.

It seemed that the boil, Eracs, had lost his voice for the time being, leaving Natalia in the awkward position of whether or not to turn away.
Having someone draw her attention elsewhere definitely helped.
Oh! Hey! Tybalt! Yes, yes the boil from that trip! The one she could hardly remember...in fact, she sort of found that recalling their previous interactions was almost too difficult, and although her hand waved and her lips formed the words 'hey', there was a bit of uncertainty to the expression. But, having caught glimpses of this boil around campus seemed to ensure that the warm welcome he offered in return would not cause any unwanted tension. Or...anyMORE unwanted tension anyways. Natalia finally rotated completely to face both the ghost hound and the living, breathing, beautiful LW with her arms readying to open wide once more. To the new boil who had only introduced himself and said no more, the monster nudged at Eracs shoulder beckoning for him to follow.
"It has been a while, how have things been for you?" Orange eyes winced suddenly as Natalia remembered that almost half of the student body had been a part of that one field trip...Still staring at Tybalt, she hoped her question wouldn't be taken as insensitive...
Natalia, insensitive...I know, go figure.
Luckily she would not have to stand there waiting for very long as the red-headed werewolf enveloped the monster in greeting. "Hello to you too! Yes, it has been forever I am so sorry!" Natalia glanced over to Tybalt as if to extend the same apology his way...regardless of how new their relations were.
Continuing then by shoving her face into LW's neck, nipping the smooth skin beneath her lips, Natalia murmured an 'I missed you', before speaking a bit louder into her ear. "We do, we do! I never got the chance to ask you, but how did you do with the boil? I remember, you know, you asking a favor of me. I am sorry I could not keep up with my end..."

Ren felt his breath catch in his throat, stubbornly swallowing away any desire he had to forgive the werelemur. He wanted to; Jack, did he ever want to. He missed Natalia more than he could stand, but every time he looked at her all he could do was remember how she had treated him, what she had said to him. They had been friends - once. Now...now he wasn't even sure.
Something brushed against his arm. Ren's eyes, which had been locked on the werelemur, now flickered downwards with some surprise. Jove was standing beside him, his expression stubborn, one of great determination. Ren's fingers found his little brother's shoulder, and he squeezed gently; an attempt at reassuring the boil he was all right, that there was nothing to be concerned over.
I can't do this. Not here. Not now. Out of all the places Ren might have been able to speak with Natalia, at his club booth in the middle of a crowded, public speaking hall was not the ideal place in the slightest. Especially when Natalia scribbled something on the nametag, carefully patting it onto her chest. His eyes read the scrawled words briefly before they moved back up to the werelemur's face.
"Yes," he answered her stiffly, feeling mechanical. "Yes, it suits you quite well."
With a small nod to Jove, Ren turned around. A small, nonsensical greeting to the scarecrow, a pasted on smile that he hoped was convincing, and then he was back attempting to be normal again. LW had leapt eagerly towards the werelemur, and Ren felt a surge of...something flood through him. He hadn't told anyone - meaning Gabrian, Alessa, or LW - of the fight he'd had with Natalia, so as far as they were concerned, they were still friends.
No, thought Ren, steeling himself. No, I'm not doing this here. This is my club, my booth. I'm not going to make these newcomers feel uncomfortable or unwelcome because of some past drama. That's not who I am.
Stepping back to LW - who's arms were around Natalia in a fierce hug - Ren placed a gentle, but firm hand on the shewolf's back, swallowing back the urge to drag her away. "LW," he said, forcing a smile. "Come on, I think we need to liven things up a bit."
To the rest of the group, Ren said "Anyone up for a little friendly competition?"

Jove puffed up in an unhappy manner, and then made a grumbling noise in his throat. Not only did Ren not notice the dragon boil calling him tiny, but he didn't seem inclined to explain why he was so tense around that ghoul with the striped tail. But if Ren was going to leave it alone for now, Jove would have to go along with it.
His ears flattened back with displeasure, and he trotted over to the booth to frown over the wisps he had brought with him. The little things didn't do much other than float in place, but it seemed to pacify the pup and he slowly de-puffed as he watched them and poked at them. Even minute little wisps of his own kind were calming for his nerves.
After a few moments his ears perked back up to watch the crowd with curiousity, and then scented the air. It was interesting, and almost overwhelming, all those scents drifting through the air. Some he could recognize, others were entirely unfamiliar, but the strongest scents were of those lingering in the booth. He once again eyed the ghoul who had somehow upset his brother without saying a word. But just watching her wasn't providing any insights into the situation.
Rather than being social, the pup just settled in next to the booth to watch whatever it was Ren was planning.

Winona jumped a bit as she felt a hand on her shoulder, her face retreating further into the maw of her hood as she saw that the rather well-dressed demon from before was now addressing her; the younger reaper's reaction was not helped due to the fact that the ghoul's fingers were icy.
Did she do something wrong by sitting there? Oh Jack . . . Whinn watched as the other ghoul somehow managed to produce a plushie from within her voluminous sleeves, recognizing it instantly as a wisp - ironically far cuter as a huggable item to her than an actual, eye-blinding entity. But Whinn gave pause to the sudden act of kindness, recalling her father's words about demons:
That they always had an ulterior motive, even if for all intents and purposes they seemed kindly. Never accept a favor from them, for they will make you work twice as much in return. High-class, (un)holier-than-thou, and hardly sparing a thought for those they didn't use.
But . . . She reeeeeally wanted to hold it. Maybe doing it just this once wouldn't hurt . . . Father didn't have to know, right?
So with a tiny nod, Winona accepted the wisp plushie and let it rest in her lap, stroking the thing gently. "Thanks . . ."
At the mention of a friendly competition, she raised her gaze to the gryphon boil and slowly raised her hand. Last time wasn't so bad: maybe she'd even have better luck this time?

The familiar scent of the lemur surrounded her and LW felt herself relax into the ghouls embrace. She had been one of the first people the she-wolf had ever met at the school. The same night, in fact, that she'd met Ren. "No need to apologize! We've all just been busy." LW chirped at Natalia. "And we get to see each other now, so that makes up for it!" It was hard not for her to cling a little to the lemur. They were friends, fellow weres, and the she-wolf had missed seeing her.
It really didn't come as too much of a surprise (not that it kept her from blushing or anything) when Natalia ducked her head against her neck. LW felt the warm breath and shivered at the n** against her skin. That red tail of hers was flicking in contentment now. "I missed you too." She said in a soft warm voice. At her mention of the favor she'd asked of the lemur, LW felt her cheeks really light up. "Umm...well...we- we did good. I did good. I think." LW grinned at Natalia. "It's alright. I had inspiration from you and that was good enough."
If it hadn't been almost painfully apparent before, it probably was now. LW had no idea about any of the tension or ill feelings between this friend and her closest friend. Had she been aware, she most likely wouldn't have acted much different. But she'd have been more wary of hurting feelings. As it was, the hand that was placed at her back didn't register until the voice spoke with it. Ren. LW glanced back at him and gave a smile. "Sure thing!" Leaning up, the she-wolf placed a soft kiss against the lemur's cheek before wiggling out of her grasp. Something, though, from the stiff and uneasy posture she could see in her best friend (he really couldn't hid stuff from her very well), the she-wolf frowned at him, but didn't comment. Instead she slid her arm around his waist and leaned against him in a way she hadn't done for a while now.
"I think these novice racers need another chance to test out their wheels." LW giggled, tail lightly batting against Ren. "Think we should give them another chance?" She winked at the group and gave her bestie a squeeze to let him know she was there for him.

Jove's head tilted as he watched the interactions between Ren, LW, and the stripe-tailed ghoul. Even though he was intending on watching the racing, or the school visitors, his attention kept drifting back to those three. Did LW feel it too, that awkwardness?
The pup fidgeted as he sat around next to the fluffs. Although he was attending a highschool, he was still just a kid, and there was only so long he could sit around before he got bored and wanted to go explore for himself. So after only a minute of being a good little brother, he stood up and trotted over to LW and Ren, touching each of their elbows briefly as though saying "I'm going now," and then dashed off into the crowd with a wave to Tybalt and the others.
He would try and come back before the open house was over, to see how Ren was doing.

Cervantes wasn't particularly familiar with any of the past events that had taken place at the academy, so he found it difficult to keep track of all that was going on between the others who clearly knew one another. "I'm glad to hear it, LW," Van replied, his smile tilting in response. He looked like he wanted to get into trouble, but he didn't say anything else just then. His tail flicked back and forth, as he was distracted looking at the game and wondering how it worked. He had seem some of the others playing, so he thought he understood the fundamentals, but how anyone could remember what button to press seemed beyond him. "So I get to meet a charismatic fellow canine, and play my first game? Today must be my lucky day," Van said.
He turned to Tybalt, his eyes flickering as if there was fire behind them. He seemed to be quite happy to talk about running. "Now and then? I don't think I could survive without it," he replied. But that was in his nature. He was meant to run, to give chase. "So is there a team you run with, then...?" Van wondered if it was a hobby alone, but it didn't sound like he was very passionate about it.
Tybalt and LW left to speak with the Lemur girl. In their absence, he pulled himself up onto the booth, his tail hissing back and forth through the air. He rubbed his spine, as if something was bothering him. Idly, now that his two acquaintances were busy, he wondered if they would play another game soon, or if he should wander elsewhere.
Ren broke him out of his thoughts. He turned towards Ren and said, "I can hardly wait," grinning. He looked down at... Jove? Was it Jove? Who seemed to have settled beside the booth. He peered down at Jove and said, "Nice to meet you, by the way." It seemed like he had spoken too late, though, as he headed out shortly after.
Van was feeling strange. He should go say hello to some of the others, he knew that, but he didn't feel like it was a good time for that. Especially given how close some of them seemed. So he sat on the booth and watched Ren, waiting for what might happen, scratching idly at the desk with his long nails.

The werelemur smiled hard when LW finally spoke up, shutting her eyes at the same moment to embrace it entirely. Natalia missed this...she missed the closeness she had with her friends, the way she could kiss and grab them whenever she pleased and how willing they were to succumb to such contact; as she would be just as likely to crumble beneath the sweet kisses from her werewolf partner (which just so happened to make her a bit lightheaded!), or even from...
When Renaissance approached the two of them, LW already out of her grasp and free standing, Natalia jumped some out of surprise before staring intently at his motions. She, as well as LW noticed the sharpness in every touch he made, a stance taken that was so unlike the smooth gryphon boil. He looked almost uncomfortable with something...something that the lemur knew was to be by her. It was Natalia's presence that kept him on edge, particularly when THEIR spit-fire she-wolf friend came bounding away from the booth and into the arms of what Renaissance agreed to was The Monster. And, although she knew all of this would happen upon arriving to the booth (or stumbling, whatever)--now, it just sort of hurt being so unwanted.
Okay so it really hurt.
"I am proud of you, love. I may have been your inspiration, but you have had it in you all along. Trust me! We are sexy, fearless ghouls! We can do anything we want to!" Natalia finally replied to the she-wolf, forcing a wink out before turning her attention to Renaissance.
"While that sounds like a whole lot of fun, I think I see the fitness club booth waaaaaay over there. All the way over there...I should go investigate what they are doing since, well, I am a member." Longing to hug both the red Wolfe and her gryphon, Natalia reached out for LW's arm to pull her into a final embrace. Holding on for perhaps a second too long, she sighed before breaking free to wave off the others; the scarecrow boil, all who had gone without a formal greeting, it even went so far as to wave to Ren, not that he would see it that way...right?...Without delay, she turned away from the booth and vanished into the crowd once more.
Natalia found that taking physical pain over emotional left no less scars, but would fade much quicker than those that came from a broken heart. A few more knocks to her head would be welcomed, in this case--forgetting the past right now seemed like such a beautiful concept.

Cervantes didn't want to miss the game, but he also realized the candy he'd won from the booth before was getting kind of sticky and warm from all the excitement. He really didn't want it to get any worse, so he got up and planned to excuse himself for a moment. He really would run though, he didn't want to be late!
He got up, and told everyone he'd met whom he ran into on his way out that he would be right back, that he wasn't giving up just yet, and he intended to learn this game!

Cervantes trotted back in with his prizes, and contented himself with sitting on the booth again. He wasn't sure what he had missed, but he'd run as fast as he could, so hopefully it wasn't too much... he really had gotten carried away with the games, though. Maybe him playing so quickly had contributed to his downfall. He sighed and rubbed the side of his face with the smooth side of his tail, avoiding the knife-sharp tip. The metal soothed him.
He was feeling pretty warm from all the running, but also good because he had missed that sensation.

Tahki silently got up from her pillow and decided to use this window of opportunity to see the rest of the booths now that the crowd was thinning out. The white gryphon held tightly on to her headphones as she made her way through the remaining students and out toward the other booths.

Tybalt shrugged at LW's words. It was true what she said. But true or not, he would never admit it. "Aww, whaddya' mean?" He asked, pretending to be stung. Which would have been more convincing, if he wasn't still grinning.
"Hmm... Who knew there were so many of us though." He muttered, leaning forward and resting his chin on his hands. Now that LW mentioned it, there seemed to be a lot of canine types around the school. All of which seemed different in some way or other. Just how many were there? He wondered, as the she-wolf removed her arms from around him; making him look up and realize that Natalia was leaving.
Ah, Darn!
He had been so absorbed in thought that he didn't even notice. Regardless, he waved her off. He would have also said good bye, but she was probably out of earshot by now. Though now that she had left, he turned his attention to Ren.
"You guys know each other?" He asked, curiously; pointing in the direction the were lemur had left. Waving as Jove and Tahki also left the booth, but still keeping his gaze on him until Cervantes spoke up again.
"Uh yeah. Sort of..." He looked up towards the sky thoughtfully and then shrugged, looking back towards the other boil. "I guess you can say that. I'm the vice captain of the track team, I guess. Though Chuppi mostly runs it." He stated. Just to make things clear. But perhaps he should get some practice set up for the team or something. Jack knew they all needed it.
