Ever'd planned to take Zac's reply as an offer, or a suggestion. The combined continuation of conversation and mouthful of cookie, though, made him huff out a disappointed sigh instead. He bumped his shoulder in against Zac's, shaking his head.
"Someone trying to get laid, I'd guess." His tone was dry. Obvious that Ever sympathized, at least a little.

Zac arched an eyebrow at his tone... turning his head towards the bump against his shoulder and then finished his cookie...downing the last of it with the rest of his tea.
"You... are hopeless. You're injured... " He took a deep breath and closed his eyes for a moment before standing rather suddenly. It probably looked like things took a turn for the worst but... he locked the door.
"...mm... we'll see."

"My leg and shoulder are injured, not..." He'd been all geared up to get into a proper argument about that, but as the lock clicked into place, Ever shut his mouth, decisively. Nudged the bag off of the bed and leaned back a little, his heartbeat already starting to kick up again.
"Ah." What was there even to say to that. He smiled, a slower smile, actually daring to go hopeful. "I kind of expected you to throw me out on my a** for that."

"I'm still standing by the door..." Zac said giving a slightly nervous edged smirk. "...course the window is an option... though I think I'll save that for if you make -fun- of me about... anything...with...yeah."
He took a cautious step away from the door, glanced at the clock and then flipped the lights just ... to be careful of lights out.

Just a faint noise, disappointed maybe, as the lights flicked out. It'd take a moment for both of their eyes to adjust, but once they had, Ever held out a hand to draw Zac over, still perched on the edge of the bed. He was smiling, but his voice was oddly serious in the dark, chin tipped up to watch as much as he could. This made him a little nervous, too. Too easy to royally screw up younger men...
"Um. You can, though. Toss me out, I mean." Ever'd really rather not, but it was good to cover his bases some.

"Sorry... I can.. um...turn them back on?" He said hesitantly. "... I just didn't want to um... well... the lights out thing could be inconvenient."
He said trying to explain but did accept being drawn towards the bed.
His heart felt like it might be beating just a bit too fast already. Yeah...he was nervous too. "I figured you'd have gotten impatient and done something else... after last time." He said and gave a small shrug like he was trying to say it didn't matter, when it very well might have.

"I think I can survive a few days, Zac." He grinned, though, pulling Zac in slowly between his knees, hands settling lightly on his hips. His head tipped up and he only hesitated another moment before he closed the space for a kiss.
It was actually rather artful positioning: Ever sitting on the edge of the bed and Zac standing over him, it offered up a certain amount of control. Hopefully would keep anyone from spooking.

He was very nearly as hesitant with the responce to he kiss as the last time, but there was at least less rigidity to it, less like kissing a manikin. After a moment his own hands moved. One moved to brush carefully along the side of Ever's jaw and teasing the white mess of hair in all it's varient lengths. The other after a moment, came to rest on his shoulder before sliding to his chest, somehow at once closing the distance and leaving that sense of nervous distance in that kiss and all that came after.
