xxxxxWhat the-- was all Myalite could think before a hand grabbed her arm, twisted her backwards, and then a foot connected with her stomach. Where had that even come from? Myalite cried out in pain, and stumbled to the ground. She heard Ares' taunt and snarled. How dare she, Myalite thought. These stupid senshi. Always thinking they're the ones in the right. It wasn't fair. It just wasn't fair. They really were terrorists; people bent on striking fear into others' hearts

xxxxxShe gasped for air a few times before standing up again. She would be damned if she was going to give up there. With a strange, twisted sort of smile she said, "Well then I'm here to interrupt the conversation. It's rude to exclude others, you know."

xxxxxMyalite wasn't even sure of what the senshis were capable, but she ran forward to attack Ares now. She aimed for Ares' crotch, because it seemed like that frilly skirt wasn't much protection. Snarling she screamed, "So let me join the party!"

"I think we all have a need to be here." Some of the veil has just been ripped away, and shown what one side is willing to do. To what extent they can hate." And hate was a very strong word, he had always believed that much. Dislike, loath, those were words he'd use for people. He'd never used the word hate, not seriously at any rate, when talking about his feelings for someone.

He was new to the negaverse, he had never seen what senshi were capable of, but he had never heard of such acts committed by the senshi. This was a shock to him, to see what he'd seen.

If anyone saw them, from either side, one of them would surely be considered a traitor. So he did hope that would not happen. As this was a talk he was happy to have, only because it seemed unusual to be had.

That looked seemed familiar, and not in a way he recalled Laurelite as looking. But still, the general queen had issued a command and who was he to deny it? Captain Scheelite dug in his pocket a moment, soon pulling out the starseed of the Senshi who had killed Lieutenant Primase. The blonde stared at it hard for a moment, before quickly swallowing it down.

The rush hit him all at once, raw power coursing through his veins and turning back the effects of war. The minor scratches from the glass shards healed, leaving only the larger ones behind, most notably one that trailed around his neck and down his chest. Better yet it seemed to sharpen his senses, and for that moment in time he managed to put aside the mental image of Primase in pieces on the floor and focus on the fight around them.

"General Queen, I will fight at your side."
He nodded his respect before whirling around to face the others. The cry had gone up, and they'd be here any moment to try and take down one of their most powerful officers.

Determined, Scheelite charged at 'Laurelite's' side, guitar summoned and ready to fight those who dare attack her. The tune still being hummed.

Their fallen would not be forgotten.

Ilmenite hadn't hit the girl well: hard enough to leave an angry bruise, maybe, but it had been off-center and crooked and left his own hand throbbing. That ache was quickly followed by another as Asclepius's bag struck him full force between the shoulderblades. He'd been trying to turn, prepared to swing again, and it hit counter to his own motions.

The Lieutenant went down, surprised, skinning elbows against the earth and grumbling out his own pain with his eyes closed for a long moment. He wanted to swat at the blood, more red staining the earth and his uniform, brown against his green. Instead he forced himself to focus, opening his eyes again.

From his new location sprawled on the ground, he raised both legs to aim a kick for one of her bared knees.

But Ametrine wasn't using the trident to attack, now. As Lyra took hold of her pitchfork, she held on tightly, and used the leverage the senshi had given her to try to swing her around, away from Hel. Too late, too late, always too late! She was choking on the bloody senshi's power, eyes tearing up, and struggling to get in air. But as time went on, it became easier to breath-- was the senshi's power fading? No matter. She couldn't let it slow her down, couldn't stop! Lyra wouldn't be allowed to turn Hel into another statistic, not if she had anything to say about it.

She ignored the curious twinge that came with fighting against a senshi to whom she had been so closely allied. They were just dreams, they didn't matter. It wasn't betrayal. She wasn't betraying someone who wouldn't have stabbed her in the back at her first opportunity. And anyway, she had been using Lyra, hadn't she? Hadn't she? Gritting her teeth, Lt. Ametrine let out a fierce cry, and pulled with all her might.

"You think this isn't a fair fight? Well, I have news for you. There is nothing about this that is fair, and nothing that ever has been." Memories flooded her, the memory of a knife held by a man both drunk and wild with his hatred. How was it fair, how was any of it fair? Life wasn't fair. It never had been. And what was important, what mattered, was keeping her people safe-- or as safe as she could keep them. It didn't matter that this woman had once fought at her side. It didn't matter that they had shared a fragile and temporary truce. They were enemies now, whatever the cost.

Requiem snorted as a guitar-wielding Negaverse agent approached. What the ******** was he wearing? Was he going to war or a rave? Holding her hand over her face to contain her laughter, she quickly forced herself to snap out of her teasing and back into the game. It was only then that she heard his humming - Dioptase's songs. Oh, he irritated her, just like the way Primase did. He was going down with no mercy.

"Hey, partyboy," she taunted as she charged towards Scheelite with a fist aimed to undercut him in his crotch. "******** off."

Unbelievable. It was all the Knight of Mercury could think as she gazed down at the flailing melee below. The shockwave of dark power had rippled all the way out even to the area that she and Castor had been strolling down. Patrolling was something fairly new for Lina and hadn't even been considered until now. She was usually the one making things unsafe and now she was...trying to help? The world turned in weird ways for sure.

But out of nowhere Lina's head had all but snapped around 180 degrees from her body, a dog on point towards the scent of battle. "That's...that's not right. That's far too powerful to be..." Without even knowing why, boots were clattering across the concrete and the blue-haired knight was all but flying through the dark streets. Rooftops were vaulted over with precision and accuracy thanks to a face that no longer held any clarity for the young woman.

Why it was so desperately urgent that she be near that scene she couldn't say. But it was imperative that she be there immediately. What she finally came upon as her heels skidded to brake her momentum was simply that -- unbelievable. A warehouse had collapsed? exploded? into its compound and faces below were both familiar and not but battling for their lives.

One was notably absent and her heart ached to think about it. Tanzanite should have been here. This had all the markings of a raid on the senshi or perhaps vice-versa and yet the most capable and zealous general was nowhere to be seen. But Laurelite was. Why hadn't they felt her? More tricks no doubt -- Beryl had thousands of them up that skirt of hers.

There was a moment of pure cowardice on Lina Knight's part before her eyes drifted towards the rubble. She had no urge and no desire to engage in a battle to the death with any of her former comrades. To engage in one with the senshi now felt wrong and was certainly not her ticket towards acceptance. Castor might even have to stop her and that didn't seem at all pleasant.

"What do we do?" It was always better to ask one's superiors. As a prince, he could have all the messy decisions!

"This war...are we really sure that we really know what we are fighting for? Or do those with privileged information simply feed us lies so we'll be their pawns? I've wondered this for a couple of months now... I'm not sure I could rightly fight again, with such suspicion and doubt..." Bellatrix sighed. "Either side could be right or wrong. Maybe we're both wrong? Who knows. I just...I just don't agree with the lengths the Blood Moon Court would go to..."

But it is war.

That seemed to excuse everything. Or so everyone kept telling her. Bellatrix just grew more and more skeptical. Jaded, almost.

Tanzanite lived.

Or... well, something close to it.

At first it was just a silhouette, one featureless body carrying another from the flames. As she emerged from the rubble, behind the lines of Negaverse officers fighting for their lives and for vengeance, it became clear what had happened. It could have been the increased strength of the General's energy signature, or the fact that the battered woman was walking at all. Most of all, though, it was the way the flames turned dark in her wake, the way they twisted towards her and crawled along the two bodies.

Tanzanite had not only taken General-King Marthozite's life... she had consumed it.

Now, burnt and broken and looking more monster than human, she carried Stephanie Leclerc's body from the wreckage. Tanzanite looked out on the chaos with blackened eyes, and knelt to gently set the girl's body down upon the grassy hill.

“We're going to take their stars, my little Cancer,” she whispered, “And we are going to set their worlds on fire. They will shine so brightly... all for you.” Tanzanite leaned in, and gently kissed the girl's cold forehead, “And we will make them burn.

Slowly, Tanzanite straightened, and turned her gaze upon the field.

NEGAVERSE,” the monstrous General roared, smoothing back the matted, tangle black hair from the girl's forehead, “Remember what you fight for. Remember what you've lost.

For Marthozite!

Primase!

Helicase!”

She paused, and that dark energy flared around her, and her voice carried to the battlefield in a venomous roar.

FOR DIOPTASE.

Scheelite snapped out of his humming, focus shifting to Requiem as she approached.

"Hey Senshi." He flashed a grin, quickly dodging around the fist and lashing out with the pointed and very electrified top of his guitar. "You first." The blonde was usually quick on his feet, but now aided by the renewed sense of strength that consuming a starseed brought? Well, he was feeling on top of the world at the moment.

Primase must have been on to something with this humming. It seemed to bring about the strangest reactions! It was with this thought that he resumed his tune, a rather large and devious grin on his face.

Ugh, he really should have waited to use his power. Seventy two, seventy three...this was the longest three minutes ever. Damnit! He had to try so hard to keep up this face of aloofness, anything to egg them on to keep hitting him. He couldn't wait to hit them back, revenge would be sweet. ********. This hurt. He watched the blue-haired one for a moment when she hesitated, trying his best to hide to worry in his eyes. Oh no, she must have figured it out. He really hoped she hadn't, but the girl looked smart, which did not bode well with Gianfar. This attack was best used against an idiot who wouldn't catch on that the pain they were feeling was the same they were inflicting on him.

One hundred and three, one hundred and--"FOU--UCK!" His thought was accidentally mixed with the word '********', he just hoped Smarty Antlers there wouldn't catch what it meant. He rubbed his thigh and limped a bit, realizing that didn't hurt as much as it could have. Oh no...she'd figured it out. He glared at her and nearly growled until the other girl got his attention. He grinned, the kind of grin one gives when they know a secret but aren't telling. He was going to force himself to look as cocky as possible if only to keep the one with the smashed gun attacking him; she didn't seem as bright as the other one. "Oh, darling, I've got plenty. Just you wait and ********. She may not have seemed as smart, but she was certainly resourceful. This was going to hurt. Happy thoughts, happy thoughts, happy thoughts! One hundred and thirty, one hundred and forty, one fifty..! He let out a cry of pain as he was slashed across his chest and stumbled back, hissing and raising a gloved hand against the bleeding cut. He'd live, it was only skin deep, but it stung.

So focused was she on the pink-haired General, waiting for the assault to begin, that she almost missed Myalite. But as soon as Gunn began to juke away, one hand coming up to knock the punch aside, Ares had appeared to knock the interfering Lieutenant away.

Her abortive dodge placed her just out of Serandite's reach, enough that by leaning backwards she was able to completely avoid the grab. The General had gotten faster, clearing the space between them in the blink of an eye; so in a manner of speaking, she did owe the Lieutenant a thank-you. A slashing glance revealed that Ares had that all tied up, so Gunn's attention was against the enemy once more.

Everything felt crystal-clear, and the blue eyes were cold as an Alps stream as she latched onto Serandite's wrist and yanked her over Gunn's extended foot towards a clump of flames. Then, she dropped the limb and attempted to clear away enough that she could cover Ares's back while maintaining "her" zone with Serandite. This was Gunn's fight; hopefully other Blood Moon senshi would understand that.

Ares did not have the time nor patience to trifle with some lieutenant. Not when Gunn was being choked two feet away, not when Requiem and Scylla were attempting to take on a General-Queen by themselves. Her destruction of Marthozite had been lucky. The Senshi of Smoke would never admit that to an outsider, but she couldn't help but admit it to herself.

And yet, she had never expected a lieutenant to try to throw an attack at her crotch. Despite her love of damsels in distress, war movies, and bloodshed, Ares was not, in fact, a male. She lacked testicles, last time she checked. It was perhaps this strange confusion that kept her from moving to defend herself.

The strike hit, and Ares staggered backwards. "Enough!" she shouted, slamming a roundhouse kick into the side of Myalite's head. There was no more time left to waste here. She had to help Gunn.

Drawing her hands in a wide circle, Ares shouted, "Ares Smother--"

But then she stopped.

Walking out of the rubble was the one person she had wanted to see dead most of all. How was she... walking? How was she...? A fear unlike anything that she had ever felt before gripped Ares' chest. She stood there dumbly, mouth falling slack.

Things were about to get bad. Very bad -- and it had all been her fault.

Asclepius twirled around with the continued momentum of the satchel, though it was not heavy enough to carry her too much further. Then the next thing she knew, she was falling again, knee aching from Ilmenite's kick.

"Pay attention!" she hissed to herself as she dropped, and attempted to swing the bag down with both hands at the negaverser already on the ground. Could not let herself get injured badly again, and kicks to the knee like that were particularly troublesome. If she wanted to be able to stand, still, Asclepius could not afford to take another one of those hits.

At least the Senshi of Medicine could try to bash her opponent with the med kit again on the way down. The attempt was a bit uncoordinated, though, since it was a snap decision made as she fell onto the pavement again. Even if she broke the little plastic box, the rolls of gauze and bottles of disinfectant should be more or less alright.

"You really are a lost cause..." Lyra called up to the corrupted senshi, repeating words that her captain had once spoken to her. "Play with the darkness and you will get burned." THAT, was her own addition. Unlike Ares, it was clear to her now Hel had not survived the darkness.

So Hel needed to be put down.

"I expected better of you, Ame." She called using the negaversers Tartaros nickname, something that would seal the deal between thw two if those vents were real or not. Oh yeah, the time spent in the dream realm was real. Ametrine should know.

Her attack WAS fading, fading as things became more clear to those within it. Lyra was being...flung around? Clinging for dear life, she was about to say something else as...

Time seemed to stop as the roar was heard over them all, not even the POWER signature the general was giving off went un noticed.

"s**t shes alive."

Lyra let go for the trident, daring to let it fling the senshi away from the pair to place distance between them.
