Astra had never been more confused, and scared, in her entire life. It was one thing to be able to see what was going on, but it was something entirely different if all you could see was fog but you could still hear screaming, muttering, gurgling, as well as general shouts of pain from others that had been hit by...something.

Suddenly, something had smacked her in the back, and she gave a yelp of surprize. "Ah! who's there?!" she called out, but again was faced with another figue, one she was not able to see properly. In a attempt to protect herself, she pulled out her toy sword and began to swing it blindly in hopes she would hit the person who was making those scary noises...

Yui stared at the hunched figure for a moment as it muttered to itself in confusion. Then, it vanished and the fog was back. That awful, thick fog that obscured everything. Tail thrashing wildly as she fought down doubt and fear, the young Samebito winced as an attack came out of nowhere and struck her. Damned fog, she thought as she gingerly rubbed and prodded the shoulder where the attack had hit. Her kimono had ripped and she was bleeding. But she could still move her arm. And right now, that was all the counted.

With a yell, most un-ladylike yell, she hefted her mace again and dove into the fray, swinging furiously and feeling the mace connect with flesh and bone, though she counted exactly see who she was connecting with.

Quickly the little pink haired demon was back on his feet and charging the mysterious foggy figure with his wooden sword faithfully in hand. The demon leaped into the air and swung his sword not really paying attention if his attack was to connect with any misfortunate student.

However in the middle of his attack the demons face connected with something very blunt and mace like. Charlie found him self knocked back wards to the ground and he found it a lot easier to find the stars despite the fog.

"...pre..pretty...." He managed to say before falling back.

"Ahh!" The blow of the wooden sword snapped round Sarias face with a slap, splinters arched their way across her nose making her squint away the water raising to her eyes. When she found the little candle jack who just did that, oh, they would pay! But there was no time for that, where ever it was they could still at least attack and hurt this deranged being.

Closing her eyes she tried to sense the aura that had first spoken to her, it was useless, what ever this being was he could disappear as easily as the breeze. But she wasn't done yet, not by a long shot.

Wiping her hand across her face where a bruise was surly to follow she leapt out into the fog, both arms raised above her head, the rusty pipe clutched tightly in her fingers and began swinging it with all her might.

BOSS FIGHT CONCLUSION: Total HP remaining: 0

It seemed only mere seconds of mad flailing and chaos for the students as the fog once again dissipated with a telltale whoosh.

Said intruder seemingly had lost their collections of skulls in the fire (and friendly fire): their cloak as all but ripped to shreds, though peering through the rags yielded nothing but an empty black void. The figure itself took one deliberate step forward, a second, and suddenly, sat on the ground, rubbing their cloaked head. "Oww, what was that?" They seemed genuinely surprised that they had taken such a beating.

They shook their head, knocking on their own skull a few times. Once thoroughly ensured that yes, the contents of their head was still IN their head, they leaned sideways, hands on their feet. "Okay, fun time is officially over, kids."

Even though the opponent was sitting, the attack fell without warning: at first it sounded like a fly whining in their ears, and suddenly, the sound of a loud wailing, a ringing, screeching and crying at once, volume impossibly high, loud enough to make their heads spin, to send students to their knees-

- and without warning it stopped. The figure suddenly recoiled as it noticed something.

Or rather not something, but someone.

"TRAITOR". There was no warning as the perpetrator suddenly pulled Carthusia by her locks. The figure screeched angrily one more time, a wail that sent all students clutching their ears - though it helped none as the damage was internal - dropping onto the ground like flies, barely concious-

- and both the figure AND Carthusia were gone.

DAY 3:

It looks like in the chaos of being hit, the opponent dropped something on the ground. Upon unfurling the item, it seems to consist of a worn down, old map AND two pieces of parchment. The first is entirely gibberish, more like a fragment of a piece of something, and the second something akin to ripped piece of a log, or journal.

Am still here. Where are the others? If they actually showed up, we could finally grab signals.

From Nox: signals need to be activated all at once: I've roughly marked on the map the signal locations. Their hideout will be smoked out easily once the signals are gone. Not much time left before the insanity of the island consumes me too.

Permanent insanity? Well, that sure did not sound exciting at all: it looks like along with the disappearance of the figure (and Carthusia), the fog has cleared enough to reveal that the students, the entire time, had been standing on the fork of the pathways on the maps. Had this figure done this deliberately? Was it in all honesty, a trap?

At this point, doing something was better than waiting for the strange reapers lurking about to pick them off one by one until they died of lack of Fear.

It was time to go on a little trek.

(( Sorry, had something come up with school and work, so I'm using the fog excuse to cover for that. XD;; Also profile!))

As soon as she had wandered away from the main encampment, Tsetsiliya had found herself lost in the fog. It had been lingering around the beach, but the further she walked, the thicker it grew. It enveloped her quickly and she didn't have a chance to backtrack before the sounds of battle came to her ears.

Where was everybody? What was happening on the outside?

Panic rose in her as she began to dart around as best she could in the fog. The mace did not help her as it stumbled over rocks and driftwood. In some places, sound became louder, and in others dimmer, but she couldn't find a way out. At last, a source of light beckoned to her, along with the loud war cries of the other students. She emerged from the fog as the battle concluded, the last students dealing their blows. In the confusion, she watched the cloaked figure drag Carthusia away and disappear. She nearly dropped the mace she was still lugging about, since all it was doing was impeding her progress in stumbling out of the fog to mix with the other students.

"C-Carthusia.." Her heart weighed heavily. The demoness had been very kind to her, and now she had been captured by whatever was on this island. Tsetsiliya had been so useless. What could she do now? With a nervous glance at the other students, her pale eyes turned towards one of the clues, a map.

A lighthouse, a town, and a cornfield. Could Carthusia be in any of those places? She hoped to Jack the ghoul was okay. Even then.. what to do now?

(( OOC!Carry says: FACK WHAT AM I, PRINCESS PEACH?!

I don't think she gets anything for being Carrynapped, but just in case: Profile! ))

Carthusia had all but been proud of herself for a few moments. She thought she landed a decent hit on the figure, but probably ended up clocking someone else a smidge harder. When she attempted to ready another blow, there was an incredible sound - a shriek, a wail, something - that sent her to her knees in pain. It was positively ear-splitting (and that was probably the intention), and the demoness covered her ears with her hands. It did little to ease the pain and gritting her teeth made her jaw sore, but just as suddenly as it started, the horrible noise stopped. Bewildered, Carthusia looked up through her long blonde hair and saw the thing lunging at her! She shrieked in righteous indignation, clawing at the figure as it dragged her away. She couldn't even scream anything coherent before she disappeared in a flash.

The fight ended as soon as it started, 2 hits in and the figure was gone, with a prize of its own. Sarias couldn't care less who it was only that she noted it was the student who had travelled on her boat. She would not be missed. Either way though it looks like if any of the mystery surrounding this field trip was to come to light she would have the leave the sanctuary of the beach, and on reading the map (snatching it from anyone who had it held) she chose her destination. The Abandoned Town was calling to her.

LW had been quite pleased that her attack had actually hit. She wished it would have done more damage, but at least she had hit this creeper! Her joy at this was short lived however. In her dodging not to get in the way of other figures attacking in the fog (whyyy did it have to be so THICK?!), she heard the creeper talk.

And then a familiar shriek (yes, she knew this shriek, she'd heard it before).

The she-wolf froze, violet eyes wide. No. No no no no. No that thing did not just take Carry! Her heart skipped a beat. Two. And then she was staring at nothing but the empty space where a figure had just stood. And no Pride.

"CARRY!" LW shouted, feeling fear and panic set in. What the Jack where they supposed to do?! Wait...was that a map? Could it help them find Carry? But...which way did she go? Where were the rest of her friends? They...they were alright, right?!

(( Mini Profile ))

In all honesty, Bul had no idea when the battle was over. He was still caught in the blur when the hooded figure seemed to have been taken down but when it attacked he felt the world around him grow rather dizzy with the noise in his sensitive ears. "FfffUUUUuuuck~" he wailed and cringed as he came to the ground. Then... silence.

Afraid to lift his hands from his ears, Bul remained there until movement was reduced to the shuffling of feet. Sensing it was finally safe Bul stood and remained armed with his weapon. "Is... it over?" he asked and glanced around being able to make out the various bodies of students. He sustained a small bruise on his arm that looked rather natural on his tinted skin. "Damn that hurt.." he mumbled.

Then he remember- Seiji and Junko and the rest of the students they were waiting for! Was it worth it to stay and hunt them down through the crowd and fog or move ahead on his own? From the sound of it, if you were alone you were safer but at the same time if you were alone and caught with an enemy without anyone to help you- you were screwed. Well there were only four places to go on the left over map. Surely he'd meet someone where he'd be going.. right?

Now.. where to go? Certainly not the Dark Cove. All Bul could imagine was freezing wet cold and as much as cave diving seemed like a total thrill, that would not be the case on this island. The Lighthouse sounded safe... perhaps too safe. Most of the students would probably end up there right? This left the Cornfields and the Abandoned Town. Cornfields might supply food... or they might not. That was no guarantee. There also wasn't any cover to be under in case the sky brought them more chilling rain.

"Guess it'll have to be the Abandoned Town..." Bul said and shifted his knapsack on his back. Maybe they'd have some more clues.. even old food. Of course, he wasn't exactly trusting that the town was truly abandoned. That was okay though he was feeling maybe he'd get a chance to get some revenge on these cloaked punk a** mother ********.

Heading in that direction but not leaving the camp parameter, he waited to see if anyone else would immediately chose to go there.

Tsetsiliya noticed someone else looking anxiously at the map, so she scooted over to allow them more room. With another look, she recognized her as Gabrian's ghoulfriend, the one she had seen at Spin the Bottle. The she-wolf looked just as concerned about what to do now, and having heard her yell out earlier as she emerged from the fog, the poludnica would like to bet that she was just as worried about Carthusia as well.

"A-are you having any ideas on where to be going.. ?" she ventured timidly. She had never outright spoken to LW before, but she had seemed nice enough at the game, and both of them were worried about the pride demoness. Two was better that one, after all.

[PROFILE FOR PROFIT!]

She fell to her knees at the loud scream ringing in her ears; dropping her weapon, she brought both hands up to cover her ears, but that did nothing to ease the pain it was causing her... Then, suddenly, it stopped, and she looked up slowly, breathing heavily as she eyed the figure that had attacked them. She felt a disoriented from the attack, but forced herself to refocus, using the weapon laying by her side as a support. Managing to stand up again, she leaned on the bat, eyes following the figure's every movement and word, eyes widening when another wail sounded, causing her to drop her weapon again, bringing her hands over her ears. By the time the wailing stopped, she was staring at an empty space where the figure once stood...

"... Huh?"

Did the figure just kidnap one of the students...? That ghoul! She's Livi's ghoulfriend! They took Carry! Oh no, oh no, oh no! She was visibly distressed now; Christmas town never left her feeling this... Helpless before. Would they take her friends from her too?

Chewing nervously on her lower lip, she quickly slid her wooden bat back into her backpack before looking around, scanning the crowd for a familiar face - any familiar face. She just want to know that they're alright!
PostPosted: Sat Mar 19, 2011 11:01 am

She was still very much froze where she stood, having glanced at the map briefly before her eyes started darting around, heart rate increasing. Oh Jack! Where were the others? She didn't even want to think about something happening to them! The she-wolf tried to make herself move, to look for any of them, but she couldn't. Her legs wouldn't move. Carry... The demoness would be alright. She had to be alright.

A timid voice next to her made the she-wolf jump and her head snapped sideways. Wait. She recognized this ghoul. The sweet cute one from spin the bottle (Tsetsiliya). LW took in a slow breath before offering the ghoul a small smile. No she wasn't one of the people the she-wolf was looking for, but LW felt better having this ghoul there with her now. "I...No. I-I have no idea. The group...I was hoping to find my group and ask them." She paused. "Do you..." LW paused again. "If you don't, umm...have a group..why don't you stick with me and mine?" Her tail flicked nervously and she still kept an eye out for the others.

"I'm...LW, by the way." This time, her smile was one of her usual ones.

((For continuity's sake, this happened right after Chris was smashing cell-phones, for RP purposes I'll ignore the healing since everyone's about to go heal Chris anyway... XD ))

The hunchback wobbled, exhausted. Had they done it? Apparently, judging by the fog. More walking, more paths, more adventure... He had to find the others first. Where would they go? He couldn't think clearly, but there was a dim sense of accomplishment before quietly wandering back into the mist to search for his Mistress and her party, and Calder and Barth. And possibly a shot sit-down for a while...
