Mostly, Zink's words were taken for something they probably were not: chastisement, his curt tone taken to be dismissive, his restrained posture annoyance. It was unlikely that the General had actually intended to bite his new lieutenant but -- well, communication was difficult. No one ever interpreted well.

At the very least, it got him to shut up, watching the assortment around them as much as he watched the mirrors. Unlike most, he hadn't been briefed, not yet. He didn't recognize Sailor Earth, and this new one only rang vaguely familiar. He was definitely more interested in the others: grateful that he was so tall, could flick eyes over Zink's head to look them over.

They all wore crazy costumes, but this time he was just glad his wasn't the worst of them. Eyebrows knitting together, he spent the time barely-listening and mostly trying to figure out rank from clothing. And bearing.

When Zink finally spoke to him, Ilmenite had to fight down the urge to stoop and tease, tip his head down. He kept his expression deliberately cool.

"...we live in a democracy now." His reply was just as soft, and it seemed like he was deadly serious. But hard to tell if that was true ignorance or just his statement on how he felt about princesses.

Zink gave him an amused glance, the small amused smile could be seen just barely through the thick fabric of his mask and more clearly in his eyes when he replied. "Do we?"

It seemed a simple enough statement but it was a loaded question at the same time. The heavy implication was that they did not, or that he, Ever, Ilumenite, no longer did.

"The negaverse serves Queen Beryl, it's through her we gain what strength we have to fight away the senshi threat, remember that and remember ranks... this is not civilian life and this is not the civilian army, it's nothing like you knew that's why you are stronger, that's why senshi can use things like 'magic' as strange and improbable as it sounds."

He paused a breath before continuing quietly "When we fight, stay with me or Fayalite, they will try and take you out first if they realize you are new. Some might even play on your insecurities."

He nodded at the picture... "All this is important, I don't know how yet so please... study it and learn...I'm at least in the dark as you for much of this.

Oh, yes, Zink was almost certainly going to have trouble with his new lieutenant -- who shifted, a muscle in his jaw jumping with the urge to mouth off to that. The concept of serving someone you'd never met was insane. Of course, it was a better thought than death, but...

"Wish I had something to take notes with." No way he could remember all of this later. Ilmenite shook his head and definitely didn't think about Zac and his little set of notes. He squinted at the mirror, taking it in briefly, and then looked back up to the crowd. Definitely made more sense to him.

It was all rather hard to concentrate with BICKERING happening right in his ear and while he was all for Zink putting the lieutenant in his place, he really wished the new guy wouldn't have started challenging people right here and now. They had bigger problems to worry about and this guy just didn’t seem to get it. He could only hope that after a tango with a few senshi that he would be clinging for Zink's power and protection and would learn to listen. For now, Wolframite was focused on what was happening in the picture, sharing the same disgust at seeing HER in this picture.

"If this is Earth, I don't see why she is here. Didn’t she stick to her own planet?" He asked, wondering if anyone had a little bit more information than he had. He doubted it. They all seemed in the dark as much as he was, and he felt like rubbing his head, wishing they were better informed. "It seemed the Senshi of Earth isn't trying to kill her. Pity." He would have thought she would have done something. As for the guy, eh could only narrow his eyes. "Maybe the guy is a bodyguard?" He asked, not quite sure. He didn’t' seem to be wearing a fuku.

Apatite had thundered onwards, paying little attention to the mirrors until she heard the sounds of someone seeing something of note, and Apatite wandered back, a jaunty whistle thrumming through the hall. Bending to see in to the mirror more clearly, Apatite tensed with sudden recognition.

"That man is our Prince. Of the Earth, for the Earth-- and fraternizing with the enemy."

Her voice was cold and toneless, and soon she stood, turning away from the disgusting image. They might even kiss, ugh. Maybe even with tongue.

"That bloody princess."

There was little levity at all in her countenance, her hands tense and white with rage. Apparently, Princess Serenity and Bella were one and the same. Outrageous slutbags.

Her name mentioned, she snapped up to attention to look at Zinkenite before looking back towards the lieutenant again. She still was irritated at him for ignoring her hand earlier. "Note pad or not, you'll learn quick enough or have it beaten into you." She would let that hang. Same rank they were yes, but damn if she was still not going to let her experience hang over his head.

Pacing a little, she rocked back and forth on her feet and looked towards Wolfram as he spoke. "Maybe it is because the moon is earths possession." In reality, it was. The earths gravity was what kept the moon here, without the earth.. there would be no moon. Maybe somehow the earth was the real strings puller behind it all...

Her gaze wanded next to the general queen. "The PRINCE was doing the-... you have to be kidding me." She drew in a sudden gasp of air, suddenly glaring the man down in his past glory. The prince of the earth had the nerve to be together with the moon princess? Oh come on just because its BLOND doesnt mean its better!

"Don't request notes too loud, Zink might hand over his notecards! Trust me, he's got lots."
Schee knew. Schee was often handed them to study from. Schee loved them.

The blonde had eyed the mirrors with slight interest, but none could hold his attention for long. He wasn't the studious type, nor the type to take notes for others to learn from. He was the type that got s**t done when he was pointed in the right direction. So far none of them -knew- the right direction, which left him somewhat aimless and without something to burn his energy on.

So Scheelite just hovered around Apatite, not really wanting to look in the mirror. He would have gagged if they started kissing anyway.

"Keep your voice down just remember the basics I will explain -later- consider this training by fire..." Hissed Zinkenite who was himself feeling responsible for all the irritated expressions at the very very very very new recruit. Maybe "tonight you stand with us un Elision" was a far worse idea than he'd thought...somehow he felt more sure he'd known what he was doing when he started, then again it hadn't involved dreams either.

"...Did the...Senshi of earth love .. the prince of earth?" He hazarded to ask the very VERY irritated looking if somewhat -odd- General Queen.

Alkaid walked in silence at Labyrinthite's side, taking comfort in the presence she could feel less than a foot away. She watched the mirrors they passed with a little interest, hopeful that they perhaps each showed just one glimpse of an important character and that maybe from there on out it would simply be other important figures in Earth's past. Except she was very, very wrong.

Even if she knew the Senshi of Earth was disheartening, something about her was captivating in a really depressing way. Alkaid's heart ached as she watched this link between her old and new family, staring with lonesome eyes without realizing that the ghost image had to be staring at something. When the scene cleared and she finally saw what that something was, Alkaid's demeanor changed instantly.

Quite suddenly that lonesome gaze, the sadness on her face, flipped to a stony look that barely concealed anger. She grit her teeth behind thinly pressed lips and curled her gloved fingers into fists so tight that the skin turned a strained white under the dark fabric. She couldn't look at the comforting figure at her side, the supportive friend somewhere behind her, or the looming, powerful figure of her General.

She only had eyes for the wretched princess that had ruined her life and so many others. It was a wonder she managed to keep all the hateful thoughts inside her head.

Ilmenite didn't look too apologetic about the irritated expressions, though he did raise an eyebrow at what he viewed as Fayalite's entirely unnecessary edge of annoyance. He'd remember it. Probably as some kind of strange, misplaced jealously, and maybe resolve it into an attempt to prove herself, at some later point.

For now, though, he mostly shrugged it off, attention sliding onto Schee's more helpful comment. He nodded, and then blinked, shooting an affronted look down at Zink. He had been keeping his voice down; not a whisper, nothing so harsh and disruptive, but a soft murmur. Really, everyone must have put their underwear on backwards this morning...

"...really doesn't look like it to me." Which was an astute observation: with carriage and everything else, it seemed much more likely the prince was interested in someone else in that scene. Here, Ilmenite could read body language. But it was barely a mumble. If everyone was going to get pissy when he spoke...

"Does it matter." Apatite spit out with a fair amount of venom, making what should have been a question have a definite answer.

"Who gives a flying ******** if they were in love? Would you disobey direct orders, Zinkenite, if you were in love? Would you cause a war just because you wanted to bang someone forbidden?" Apatite strode towards Zinkenite, her chakrams shaking in her hands, from barely controlled rage and not nerves in the least.

"If you ever ask an idiot question like that again, I will cleave you from testicles to spectacles and throw your guts around like confetti."

Shaking her chakram in Zinkenite's face, Apatite stood back and rolled her shoulders, a look of distaste still clouding her face.

Silence, and a sudden realization that she had gotten the whole gist incorrect.

"Oh, Sailor Earth? No."

Scheelite paled considerably.

Scheelite then hurriedly inched a circle around Apatite and ended up back at his partner's side. Apatite might be General Queen, Apatite might be scary as hell when she wanted to be (but also awesome!).

But like HELL anyway was just going to threaten his partner and not get some sort of reaction out of him. At least he had enough sense not to start -screaming- at Apatite. He had gotten part of himself under control!

A bump at his side would let Zinkenite know his partner was there for him, even if against a General Queen that was...pretty much useless.

Zink drew up strait and looked rather shocked at the reaction, Had the Earth Senshi done something to offend as much as the Moon-Twit? That had rather been a shocking reaction to a simple question...so it must be...except...

Eyes still on the chakram as she paused the threats about intestinal confetti still fresh on her lips when she swapped mental gears without a clutch.

"... Thank you for your answer....General Queen..." He said tensely as though rather nervous to make any sudden moves.

Note to self... do not ask questions around General Apatite.

He was surprised that this guy walking alongside their most hated enemy was their Prince. He certainly didn't look repulsed or unhappy to be there either, and Wolframite's frown deepened at the idea that he was letting her walk on their planet, his planet (?), like this. Senshi and Princesses walking on Earth - it was all upsetting, and he watched only to see if anything else would be shown. It seemed the only person who had answers was General-Queen Apatite and she didn't look much in the mood for answering questions. For Wolframite, he couldn't decide what was a stupid question and what would wind up getting a limb or something more....valuable and tender removed. Personally he liked being a guy, and he wasn't about to open his mouth and get a sex change anytime soon.

Instead, he froze, tense, and slowly turned back to look at the mirror, trying not to get her attention. Zink was on his own with that one.

He'd had more to that comment -- he was prepared to mutter the rest of it to himself -- but the General Queen's tirade certainly shut Ilmenite's mouth and that was a miracle. He paled and went silent, oozing just a small step away from Zink and perfectly making room for Schee. Who he also eased in to hide behind.

Basically, he decided, he wasn't going to speak again. Never, maybe...
