"Donovan." he said suspicious of the girl's sudden interest, "But you were close heh." Donovan remembered all the trouble that Dalton put up with when he was with her, better to watch his back around her.

Silver Gurufine  Silver smirked. "Oh, I see. Now I remember. Well thanks, anyway," she repeated, losing interest in the boy.
She glanced about the room, noticing that many of the students had already split into groups. It was easy to predict who would partner with who; there were a few new students in the mix talking awkwardly to one another, but people mostly stayed with their friends. She suddenly remembered that she didn't yet have a partner. Biting her lip, Silver turned back to the teacher.
"Sir, can I just take photograph my own Pokémon, please?"
"I said take a picture of someone else's," he sighed. Silver tossed her hair, her expression disdainful.
"There's an odd number in the class."
He looked up and did a quick head count. "No there isn't, Silver. Stop arguing and just do it, it won't kill you."
Silver rolled her eyes, turning away and stamping her foot. She should just switch out of this class. What a jerk.
"Why don't you partner with Donovan there," the teacher offered, and she cast him a look of disbelief. "Him?" now, the party don't start 'til I walk in.

"GACK!" Donovan thought as he heard the teacher, "Why do I always think things can't get worse? THEY ALWAYS GET WORSE!" Donovan gulped while pretending that nothing was wrong, he didn't dare look over to Silver who, more than likely, was positively steaming at the thought of being partnered with him. Not that he really cherished the thought either, but he'd try to make the most of it, thinking back to his days in the PokeScouts he remembered the motto 'Never prod a sleeping Ursaring with a stick.' maybe the same concept can be applied here.

Silver Gurufine Silver looked about again, and didn't see anyone anymore suitable than Donovan was. Great. Sighing, she turned to him, her hands on her hips.
"Alright, I suppose I have no choice in the matter. Today is your lucky day, Devin. I'll let you take pictures of my Pokémon." She gestured towards her Glaceon, which was still attentively at her heel, staring at Donovan. "My Yuki is already out, will he do, then?" Silver gave him a dangerous look, as if daring him to say he didn't want to photograph her Glaceon. now, the party don't start 'til I walk in.

"Uhhh it's Donovan" he stated with a slight sigh, "Yeah he looks great. I'll send out Sadie." reaching onto his belt that wraps around his chest he grabs a Heal Ball from it, "Come on out Säädytön!" and with a flash out popped his Shiny Female Zuruzukin.

Josh was a completely different person in battle. The moment he was attacked, Josh's expression went from a smile to still as stone. Riolu took the Water gun attack, which knocked it down, but didn't do too much.
"Ready to help, are you? Good. Help by making your Eevee do something good on impact. Riolu! Fling that Eevee at the bird, then follow up with a High Jump kick at Marril!" Josh grinned viciously as the Riolu picked the Eevee up, much to the creature's dismay, and spun a few times before hurling it at the Xatu. As soon as the howling creature left its hands, Med sprinted and jumped, then aimed a kick at the blue water mouse in midair.

"Get in there and do your best!" Aralyn told her Marril. Dalton melted at the command. "She's so perfect, cheering on her Pokemon to do its best!!" he thought.
"Psychic! Stop that Eevee from hitting you, Xatu!" Dalton commanded, watching as the small, brown fox flew towards his Pokemon. Xatu's eyes glowed blue, and the Eevee stopped in midair. "Now, try and hit the Riolu with Eevee!" The bird Pokemon's eyes shifted, and the Eevee was flung back towards the Riolu, which was now about to launch a kick into Aralyn's Marril.

Lokie flew fast and strong at Riolu, just hitting him before he performed the kick. Joon was disturbed by the fact that Xatu used Loki as a tool but it was none the less a good strategy.
Lokie isn't looking in very good shape, I don't think she can take another hit.
"Loki, Bite on Xatu."
The impact on Riolu woke Loki up from her confusion, enabling her to succesfully take in a deep breath and used Bite at the Xatu, and Joon knew that Loki tends to bite down really hard.
Yes! Dark should hit that bird pretty hard.

This was... such a boring battle. It needed more flare. Why would the teacher start off the class with a battle. Or a better question, why would we start learning about Double Battles on the first day? Why not Single? This was a strange school.
Best to make the most of it though...
Shinx was beginning to get tired. Raiu leaned back and the little Pokemon crawled down to his lap to take a nap. Raiu envied Shinx. He wanted to sleep too...

The Eevee's fangs clamped down on Xatu's left wing, but that wasn't what Dalton was focused on Aralyn. After one High Jump Kick, she rushed out of the room with her Marill to go get the nurse. The Pokemon all stood there, waiting for their commands. Dalton didn't know what to do. Should he continue fighting? Send out another Pokemon?
"The match is over! The victors are Josh and Joon, and their Riolu and Eevee!" Charlie announced, holding up a red flag in Josh and Joon's direction. Dalton couldn't believe. He had lost, and the battle was just getting started. He'd never lost that quickly before, except for when he first came to the school.
Dalton recalled Xatu back to its Pokeball, and sat back down in his desk. Charlie then began calling out names, pairing students into groups of four.
"Rain. Aralyn. Joon. Nitori. You're all in one group!"
"Josh, Dalton, Raiu, Chase. You're all in one group as well." Charlie then began to put all the other students into groups. "I want you all to discuss different strategies with each other, using each other's Pokemon. When Josh's Riolu used Fling to launch Joon's Eevee at Dalton's Xatu, that was teamwork. Or at least, the closest thing to in that battle. You'll all have the chance to be partners with everyone, and to battle everyone."
Dalton was devastated. How could he not be in the same group as Aralyn? This was bad! What if Rain or Nitori do something to hurt her? He couldn't fathome the idea. Joon was there, and he seemed like a nice guy. But Dalton felt she'd be much safer if he were in that group with Aralyn, instead of Joon.

Ѳne ɦand σn ϯhe ϯrigger... ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ╔══════════════════════════╗ Rain completely ignored the girl who had planted herself beside her, hoping with every fiber in her body that she would just disappear or something. There was absolutely nothing that the young woman wished to discuss with this girl, so she had no clue why she insisted on trying to be friends when clearly Rain couldn't care less. She sighed heavily and tried to focus on the battle, which was hard because she *really* didn't care about who won or not. They were all losers in her book.
She listened as the teacher called out the groups, her heart sinking as she heard her name. Great, teamwork. This would go over well.
She sighed again as she stood, looking around to see who her victims...er, partners would be.
The only time teamwork has ever been good for me was when I was with James...and that was years ago...╚══════════════════════════╝ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ...Ѳne ɦand σn ϯhe ɦeart.

Raiu heard his name called with Dalton, Josh, and Chase.
Well, I didn't get paired up with Rain... What can I do? Best to just do what the teacher says.
Raiu got up and moved towards Josh, Dalton, and Chase. Shinx was already on his head. When he got to the group, he introduced his Pokemon.
"Umm.. hi. This little creature on my head is Shinx. I met him in a strange forest in Unova, where I'm from. He's my primary battler. Shinx knows moves like Tackle, Leer, and Charge. Charge powers up Electric-type moves and raises a Pokemon's Special Defense. Shinx doesn't have any Electric-type moves yet, but it can still get a stat boost. Leer is used to lower the opponent's Defense stat so Tackle will hit harder... That's about all I know about Shinx. But I didn't learn it myself. Someone else told me."
Raiu then took out three PokeBalls. He released Snivy, Litwick, and Tynamo. The grass snake, candle, and electric fish were sitting where they were released looking uncertain about the unfamiliar surroundings.
"These are my other Pokemon. They are native to the Unova region. Snivy is the grass snake. Litwick is the candle, and Tynamo is the electric fish that's floating. I don't know much about their skill yet though."
