Why was she here, standing outside the music classroom door, listening to the already packed sounding class, talking, shouting..screaming? Well she was here because she'd taken herself off home when her Grandmother had gotten ill and had missed the bulk of the few classes her had signed up, meaning she was behind in her studies and now had to go for anything. Including the one thing she was fairly sure she was utterly useless at.

Arachne knew she couldn't sing, and didn't like to do so. Her voice was okay for speaking but she couldn't hold a note. And as for an instrument - she'd played around with the grand piano at home but that was only when she was bored, and wanted to irritate her mother who liked quiet, especially when she was 'entertaining'.

She pushed open the door, walking inside, casting a glance around the room. It looked nice enough, and she walked through and around the others inside, heading for the lone music stand. She eyed the sign up sheet and shook her head, her hood falling back as she did so. She fished out a pen and went to sign her name, not noticing the teeth nor the splashes of blood from previous vic..students.

Arachne signed her name with a flourish, only then noticing the row of teeth on the stand which were moving, opening, biting! She yanked her hand away, stepping hurriedly back and cursed.

'Missed me.' she growled at it, stashing her pen away in the small, velvet drawstring bag she carried her stuff in, before looking around again to see if there was anyone she knew well enough to talk to in here.

Sepheran still stood in the back of the classroom a nice distance between him and the stand, but he didn't dare move a the moment for Liannan was still huffy about him yelling at her. Well if he gave her a few moments she'd calm down. For now he was on his own though. The basilisk was wondering if anyone really paid him much attention at all, until he heard a voice of a ghoul in front of him.

Sepheran opened his eyes seeing the blur that he registered as the one that belonged to the nice ghoul offering him something to close to a cloth. "Ah, many thanks," Sepheran replied reaching out to where he figured her hand was seeing a spot sticking out. His fingers touched the top of her hand before sliding down to touch the offered cloth. When his fingers touched the cloth he grabbed hold then pulled back to put it over his hand to keep of his blood from spilling anymore then it already had. "Not exactly my ideal start for my first class," he chuckled lightheartedly. Judging from another scream that rang out it seemed he wasn't the only one to get bitten.

"I'm Sepheran...mind if I ask what your name is?" Sepheran asked. Liannan seemed to lift her head at this hissing lightly before looking to Lizzy. Sepheran gave an inward sigh of relief, it seemed Liannan had calmed down in the time Sephy was chatting with the ghoul. "Oh an this here is Liannan," Sepheran added lifting his unbitten hand to gently lay on her small scaly head.

As Barth pulled back on his shoulder, Christof's fist caught nothing but air a hair away from Sharra's face. His grip left the Water Demon's wrist as he was manhandled back and he could only turn his look of outrage onto the Sloth Demon as he was practically shoved away. What was the big deal? He was asserting himself! Calder had told him he needed to be less submissive and here he was doing it and case in point clearly it was not the socially acceptable way to act. He gave a frustrated whine as he stumbled after Barth, shooting Calder a dirty look over his hunched shoulder. Well... well fine! Fine! He saw how it was. She had no interest in him, obviously, but... but that didn't really matter did it? He wasn't sure. He just wanted one thing from her that much he knew, but a series of complicated emotions bubbling in his chest made the whole situation foggier than it needed to be in his opinion.

Well... well he needed to find a new finger before class started anyway. He hadn't even had a chance to root through his bag in hopes of finding one, and he doubted Barth had any in his pockets. "That wathn't nethithary," He whispered heatedly to the Sloth, face still flushed and heart still racing from the confrontation.

"Err, I'm not sure it does, necessarily, but- err, one moment please, Alwine,"

Barth ignored the fresh batch of rage now pointed in his direction as he put a slow but steady distance between his assistant and vice president.

"It was necessary," Barth said. "You shouldn't be punching people that are pointier than you. It's a good way to lose more digits."

Content to lounge in his uncomfortable chair bleeding to death until class was over, West didn't notice that there was anyone near him until he heard the word 'punch.' At the utterance of that lovely, magical syllable, however, his head rose from its pitiable slump and he looked around, his expression akin to the one an extreme pie lover might wear in the presence of some delicious...pie. The only others nearby were Barth, who was never angry, and Whatshisname, the hunchy kid West had seen running around Christmas Town for all of five seconds.

"You?" He gestured at the Igor with the hand that was only half-coated with blood. "Yer'beatin' people up now? Who? I dun'see any lil' ghouls'round." West chuckled and shook his head, leaning forward slightly and grabbing at the nearest chair, intending to use it to rest his feet on.

Christof slumped at Barth's comment, although judging by the color of his face he was still fuming even if he refused to talk about it... at least while so many people were around. At the sight of the red-haired demon sprawled casually in his seat, the hunchback wobbled. That hair... was unmistakable, there were few redheads in the school and most of them were rather identifiable. He glanced up to the Sloth Demon, brows raised curiously. It seemed like they knew each other at least.

Resigned to spend the rest of the class keeping to himself, he pulled from Barth's grip to find a chair of his own next to the Wrath Demon, sighing as he set his backpack on his lap to hunt for spare parts.

Barth looked at the long distance he had traveled all the way back to the group of NAP members. Well, he had already delivered the message about paintfighting. Balling. Whichever. He tried to muster up the energy for the trip back, and found the usual uncooperative pit.

"Not ghouls," he provided for Christof. "People with bigger arms than he has. Which is saying a lot. I don't know if there are even that many more people in the school that fit that description. ...Err, your hands alright, isn't it? It's bleeding a bit."

A bit was under-exaggerating. It should probably be no surprise that the stand had managed to grab Barth too. The damage had been minimized because he hadn't bothered to struggle.

"Mmm?" West looked down at the disgusting mess he had made of his lap. This morning, the crisp white jacket bunched there had been new. Now it looked like a tie-dyeing experiment gone horribly wrong, a cry-die, perhaps. He flexed his hand inside its cocoon of fabric, suppressing a wince as any scabbing that might have occurred within the last five minutes cracked open again. "M'fine." He stopped futzing with the chair he had succeeded in grabbing and gestured at it briefly, inviting whoever had a mind to to sit there.

"Who'hassa bigger... oh! The marid's b***h?" West chuckled and continued muttering to himself. "Thassaboutall'e'sgottha's'big jackin' pube'lookin'sonnava..." It wasn't that West didn't like Sharra. The nergal, like his ghoulfriend, was simply fun to make fun of. "What were y'gonna hittim about?" he asked. Apparently, the wrath demon hadn't yet grasped that Christof wasn't inclined to talk to just anybody.

The hunchback had pulled a few things out of his bag, a notebook, a pen that wouldn't try to bite his hand, and the odd boxy instrument down at his ankle now among them as he rooted and.... found a toe. WHY was there a toe in his bag anyway? He blamed Scruff. Well, it wasn't a finger, but it was CLOSE right? Hopefully close enough to get through class-

He was aware he was being spoken to, but as he glanced up to politely listen he... wasn't sure he was hearing words. More like one sort of jumbled word. His brain took a few seconds to digest it before they computed and his face went red once more, frustration and anguish practically radiating off of him. At the sight of the blood-stained front on the boil, he thought perhaps a change of subject was in order, and he held it out to West in quiet offering. He might definitely need the spare digit more than him by the looks of things. Even if it was a toe.

Barth took the offered seat gratefully. On the whole, standing did not number among his favorite things to do (although its ranking was significantly higher than a lot of other activities, like walking or doing anything in particular).

"Dunno," Barth said, folding his arms on the chair back and resting in them. "Wasn't paying attention. I think he told Christof to bugger off, and he was less than keen on it." He hesitated, then said to Christof, "...You err, should probably know that Yaya's only after one thing. I mean, not that you mind. Since you apparently... anyway. I just thought it's fair to warn you."

Israfel still was unused to large gathers in someways. So many people, and still no teacher! Rocking foot to foot, he noticed the two musicians he knew best. Tahki and Amrita. The battle of the bands was well in the past now, but it still had a place in his little siren heart. A place also reserved with friends and such. Scooting slowly from the back wall, (very slowly), Israfel was trying his hardest to get close. Sadly, he was a bit nervous. Class was going to happen and well...He didn't want attention drawn to his voice or lack of.

In the end his need to be social won out as he wiggled his way over to Amrita. "Hey." Earwings were pinned back, and he was still fidgeting. "Do..do still play. Uh, going to play? For the class I mean."

Had Sharra heard the igor's whispered words to Barth, he would have rather disagreed, as honestly, he'd rather not have a brawl in the midst of Music class, though if it had been in defense of his claim on Yaya, then goodness, he'd certainly have stepped up to the plate. Eyes had gone wide as a rather large fist narrowly missed his face, and with a growl, he'd balled his claw into a rather formidable-looking bashing weapon, some of the spikes on his arm starting to clack as they elongated in mounting wrath. And then the sloth-demon rather expertly diffused the situation, which was a good thing too, as it seemed that yet another bit of volcanic activity had entered the classroom. At that volume, it could only be West.

Ah grand, the last thing he needed was the twosome teaming up...the igor and Mr. something-was-shoved-up-my-rear-as-an-infant-and-now-I'm-constantly-pissy...West was fun, in his own right, and for all that he knew the pink-topped demon had a grand time finding ways to demean him, it honestly was rather entertaining trying to give the fellow as good as he was giving Sharra. Now, enough of that train of thought, as there were other matters to attend to. He really would have to thank Barth for that later. "Jackdammit...one of these days..." He muttered, turning instead to the ghoul at his side and running his human hand down her arm. "Are you quite all right? He was rather manhandling you..." Even if it resulted in an all-out brawl, had Hadiyya been bruised or upset by this in any way, then he'd have to confront the igor, and somehow he'd a feeling that not too many people would be angry with him for it. He didn't, however, wish to get thrown out of school for it. Ah what a dilemma. Sighing at Calder's observation, he shook his head, "Exciting is one word for it, I guess..." Honestly, he was currently more inclined to like the kelpie as of now, despite the poor boil's sketchy reputation.

West's eyes narrowed as he looked back and forth between the two boils. Barth. Christof. Barth. Christof. Barth. "Waittaminnet. Can't'e talk?" West was a genius.

Christof. Barth. Christof. Barth. Toe. "Hrm," he said, reaching out a finger to prod at the mystery digit. "Why dun you keep that." He smirked, pressing his lips together in the very definition of disparaging and sarcastic. Wait. Was the kid missing a finger? West was suddenly very glad the music stand hadn't taken one of his. He wiggled them under the cover of his jacket. At least as far as he knew it hadn't.

Once Barth had finished speaking, West responded under his breath. "Ah. Yaya likes t'use people." Her innate ability to piss him the hell off endeared her to him, but that didn't mean the mark she had given him didn't wear away his patience a little more every day.

Barth's synopsis of the events made the hunchback slouch in his chair. Use people? He wouldn't mind being used, honestly. That's what he was there for wasn't it? He had use! Barth made it sound like she found him useless, which was even more depressing than the protective Nergal by her side that kept... touching her. He didn't even HAVE two proper hands. He wouldn't know what to do with her's. Frustrated now, he continued his rummaging for his emergency needle and thread.... only to find the small hole in the bottom of his home made backpack. Hell! How come he could sew flesh but fabric was always so cumbersome?

With a snort, he glanced around anxiously, hoping to spy Lizzy- she always had thread on her person, he had learned over Christmas, and that time she had threatened to strangle him with it in the hallway that one time... His ears burned as West's question permeated the air- can't he speak? Before Barth could answer, he shook his head frantically, but this time kept his scarf in place as he pointed to his mouth and then pointed to his stitches and left it at that. At the refusal of the toe, Christof felt a little disappointed he couldn't help his new acquaintance out, but he brought it back to his lap all the same. Well, it would get him through class anyway... if he could find some needle and thread.

By the sounds of it, the Wrath demon was definitely not fond of Miss Yaya, which confused him a little. Glancing from Barth to West again, brows furrowed, he tried to mull things over. Gingerly, he taped West's arm before subtly pointing across the room to the Water Djinn, eyes lighting up in the unspoken question.

Now that they were closer and the boil was facing her, she couldn't help but notice that his pupils were white. At his touch, she tried not to flinch, having assumed from his eyes and actions that he was probably blind. Or partially so, at least. She nodded, feeling rather relieved that he wasn't making a fuss out of his injury like a certain other student, "You're very welcome! Well, most classes don't start off this way... At least, not the ones I had attended."

Dipping her head, the Demoness nodded once, "Elizabeth - but please call me Lizzy! Pleasure to meet you Sepheran," She turned to look at the snake over his shoulder, her smile widening a little, "And Liannan too."

She reached out a head to stroke the snake on its head, but paused, her fingers stopping a short distance away, "Is she alright with people other than you touching her?"
