The train had crashed. It had crashed, and now Ren was having a rather enormous issue that was really quite annoying.

"klsdjflsdfnsfsDAMMIT."

One hand was now clawed, his other still human. That was certainly problematic; how was he supposed to get a nap in with his hand looking like that?

There was a general murmur of confusion from the students around him, some grumbling and mumbling, several sounds of "Ow," as well as a lot - a lot - of muffled swearing. Apparently Ren was not the only one was apparently having an argument with his own body, seeing as how he kept sporadically phasing from human to gryphon and back again every few moments.

He harrumphed sulkily about his predicament for a few moments before eying the enormous pile of stuff the gnomes had brought them. Ren threw a tent over his shoulder, stuffed the pills into his pocket and then, after only a second of hesitation, tossed the Sack Full of Joy over his shoulder as well, trundling off in the direction he was supposed to go.

Wherever that was.

((Braum will be transforming randomly at inopportune moments, and is taking the Sack Full of Joy ))

Braum had been far from prepared from the jolt. There'd been noise, screaming, the smell of blood here and there, then darkness for a bit. Blinking his eyes open, he could only assume he'd been knocked out for a short amount of time, a concussion most likely. Trying to pull himself up, he groaned as he sat up. His wings, while no more damaged than they were before, had cuts on them from broken glass since he'd been standing up in his seat. Turning to gently pick them out, he flinched as the cold air bit at the open wounds. No, this would not make even gliding fun, though he could feel his wings were up to it. Height was one of his few advantages in battle, and he'd be damned if he let the cold steal it from him. Not that he could fly long-term mind you. He'd be lucky if he was able to glide higher than ten feet off the ground, and only for short periods of time.

Then it hit him. If Ickis car had been slammed into the cars in front of and behind it, that meant all the other cars had been damaged as well. His eyes shot open, and he bolted up, no matter the cuts and bruises all along him, shoving the dismantled seat off himself and his wings. Taking an ungraceful and fumbling leap to the air, he pushed himself off some of the higher piled-up wreckage for lift, and glided over the scene, flapping his wings painfully once and giving a grunt of displeasure. Seeing a flash of gold further down, and a tattered hat he could not have loved seeing more, he landed quickly and started to run towards the two girls.

"HADIYA! BELLADONNA!" he hollared, to be heard over the rediculious song, and the noises of other disgruntled students, sweeping up the witch in his arms before she was able to reach the marid. Lifting her off the ground, he buried his face in her shoulder as he let her down slowly, his wing curling around her protectively while his free one lifted out shakily to make room for Hadiya as she approached. If he was cold, and the cuts on his own body were freezing over and aching, he at least wanted to give the girls some warmth and comfort. Holding tightly to Belladonna, his breath was shaky.

"You two will NEVER get on a train without me there again, do you hear me?" he growled, more out of frustration that he'd let harm come to his girls rather than actual anger at her. His arm was clamped around her waist, holding her tightly, and making his claim obvious. They hadn't even gone on their first date yet, but Braum did not want to entertain the idea of what would have happened if Bell had gotten just as badly hurt as some of the other poor saps in the Infirmary. He'd passed it while gliding, and it reeked of blood and pain, usually good smells, but worrisome when you have no idea if your comrades are the source of it.

Looking up and over to the weapons area, his eyes narrowed. It was true, the snowball launcher could do the most damage potentially, but he wasn't willing to get himself hurt in the thought that if he fainted, no one would be there to protect the girls. He could not afford that. Snatching up a sack of random objects, he grunted and slung it onto his waist, fastening it to his hidden belt and the bottles holding his toxins.

Holding both Hadiya and Belladonna tightly, his wings shuddered one last time with the fear of what could have happened to them.

"I'm going to take care of you two," he promised, folding his wings around them to keep them warm.

Gabrian's poor mood was understandable so she didn't take his biting words to heart. It would take more to get rid of Alcie. "It'll be okay and we'll be able to figure things out." All hope couldn't be lost yet and Alcie knew that she should try to get everybody's moods up. "Yeah, let's get out of here. I think they're dividing the students up into the different carts again."

Turning her head, Alcie heard her name and a familiar voice. The water demon realized that everybody was attempting to deal with these problems but in their own ways. "You feeling alright?" Tilting her head, Alcie noticed that Sin was looking a little... unstable and Alcie held out her arm in case Sin needed something to hold onto. The crash hurt a great deal and Alcie could still feel the throbbing in the back of her head. Though, she tried to suppress the feelings so that she could think clearly or else there would be some big problems.

Draven's head came up as he heard a voice call his name. That had to be Alerick! Draven prepared to take flight (he really didn't know why he hadn't take to wing to find them yet). He grabbed his pack and tried to leap into the air, flapping his wings.
The pack was almost off the ground when Draven felt it. A sensation that started in his core and spread to his whole body, light but there. He had enough time to fling his arms under him before landing in the snow on all fours. He was in his human form again! He hadn't even been trying that hard at that moment...what was going on?

Not having answers at the moment, Draven turned back towards voice he had heard. He picked up his pack and set off at a run.

"Alerick!" He called. His eyes scanned for both Alerick and Eracs.

It seemed like the gnomes were shuffling the students towards the paths they were to take...maybe he could find his friends before the gnomes pushed him over there.

Hearing his name called he turned and headed in that direction. "Draven!" He noted, and more importantly, head the gnomes moving students in different directions. It would be best to find Draven now before he headed down the path. Stopping he bent down, his duffel and needed pack were too much.

The duffel bag was opened and the pack as well. Shuffling items from duffel to pack he nodded to himself. he could leave the duffel behind, empty, and take the pack which now had one change of cloths and books to read. he hadn't thought to take anything else when he'd decided to go on this trip.

Back to moving he headed for Draven, toward where his voice had come from. "Draven!" Calling out once more.

(Quarria will be staying in her true form, and using the Carol of the Bells.)

The sound of the train crashing was still ringing in Quarria's ears as she found her face in a bunch of...snow (It was so cold! She wished she was still under the heater in the train!) ? What was going on? She pushed herself up, and heard a gnome talking about a raid on Christmas. Wait, what had he just said about the shifters? (At least she could still talk in her true form.) She looked down at the school pin in absolute horror for a moment, and felt the odd sensation of loss as she felt herself reverting into her true form. Her true, thirty foot long winged-serpent form. Fabulous. AND she'd lost her friend too. She had to find him. Luckily they were getting sorted out into the same places, right?

The huge snake-like monster slid through the crowds on her front, thinking to herself that she would have to find a source of heat out here, and fast if possible. She nudged her nose through a healing Bell with a ribbon loop on it, and did the same with the backpack and two pills. Then, she quickly slid off to follow those going to the Gromble group, opening her huge wings so she could glide there in quicker time.

((will be in gryphon form))
There was only blackness, nothing else. There was no pain and no memory of what had happened. Tahki awoke with half her body emerged in the icy cold snow. The gryphons rear stuck up awkwardly as if some one had purposely thrown her like a dart or something. Not only that but Tahki's humaniod form had dissolved leaving the ghoul in full blown out gryphon mode.

Needless to say... There was a lot of confusion when Tahki finally a woke.

First there was the shout, more like a roar in gryphon form, then the flailing and then finally the pop free from the snow. Wait a minute a roar? The gryphon blinked. In humanoid form a roar wasn't something Tahki normally could do. But in..

Tahkis golden eyes traveled downward to see black talons instead of her milky pale skin. Had her charm fallen off? Tahki blinked and opened her mouth to say something but only a cross breed between a squawk and a growl came out. Uh oh. Why couldn't she talk? How embarrassing! Was she the only one who couldn't talk and was having trouble in her form?

Tahki caught the instructions at least thank jack. She listened and nodded since she couldn't very well speak at the moment. Make a noise , sure, but speech was going to prove difficult with out any fear in the air. Joy instead? Pweh.

Tahki went ahead and took a pouch with a tent and pumpkin pills along with a Christmas Wreath and then it was off on a field trip adventure.

It was fine at first, he had just had some munchies. Some he drank, some he saved. Then. All the yelling! The screaming! The darkness! Combined with the rolling and the falling and the swinging and what Israfel was 99% sure was a pink elephant, the siren's first reaction to watching up and hearing the headmistress singing of all things...
was barfing.
In his defense, he had been drunk, eaten, gotten jostled, and now was subject to singing on par with his own. Yeah, Israfel was not liking this school trip, not by much at least. "Why is everything so looouuuudddd!" Wincing, and covering his earwings, the siren flopped into cold powdery white. "And colllldddd~" He was used to cold, he live by the water his whole life, but this cold? This was cold-cold. He nose was also very stuffed up, and he couldn't smell a thing. (Both good and bad, given some students). Crawling to a tree and using it to get himself upright, Israfel shivered, sending his feathers fluffing out and flecks of while falling back to the ground. Looking at the supplies from afar he wasn't sure why they were fighting. Or why not to eat yellow snow.
Yellow was the color of many tasty things, just not..snow? How peculiar.

But apparently, hey, weapons. The Siren stumbled to the table and looked over his choices. BELLS. Jingle jangle bells....that hurt his skull. No. Prickly plant. Bright lights. Bags of stuff. Israfel knew about sacks. Sacks were not fun. Snowball launched scared him, (so big!). Which left him...
It was yellow, it was cold, and apparently you didn't eat it. It sounded pretty deadly in that case. Maybe poison. Pulling out the frog in the jar, Israfel shoved the frog into his pocket and proceeded to take the yellow snow.

In his sloshed mind, it was the best choice of weapon. Really, it was.

Looking around, he noticed some of his fellow students going into the forest. Many from his old train car. A flock mentality kicked in somewhere. Flock was moving. Better catch up!
So, grabbing his tent and pumpkin pills, (GRABBN PEELZ), Israfel ran, (stumbled) off to find his peers.

Draven heard his name again. He slowed to a jog and looked-ah! There was Alerick, already with a pack and all. He moved in a straight line toward his friend, his last few steps heavy in the snow.
"It's good to see that you made it through that," he gestured towards the train remains, "alright. You are alright, aren't you?" Alerick looked alright, but Draven still wondered.

"Have you seen Eracs?" was his next question. He looked around them, and really, could find no sign of the scarecrow. From what Draven knew of...creatures that were animated, Eracs should be fine. "Do you think he has already moved on that way?" This time he gestured towards the students who were following the gnomes. "Do you think we should head that way?"

Junko looked around, seeing that everyone was picking out the carol of the bells item. Well...if they were good on healing then they would need something to fight with, right? But what could she get? She reached out for the sack of joy when she spotted the serpent beside her. Wait, what? Was that Gabrian? "Wow, you look so much dif--" And then she heard her name. Twice. Who was calling for her? Was that...Yaya? Yaya was okay! Oh thank goodness, she had no idea where Braum or Yaya or Kasumi even went!

She had tried to find Yaya from where she was when Sin showed up again wearing something completely different. Admittedly Junko deflated a little when she saw Sin was no longer wearing her kimono, but she did her best not to let it show...though her best sucked pretty badly. At least her hair was already limp. Junko picked up a Christmas Wreath; she wasn't much for fighting but that would be okay, right? One had to learn to adapt to different situations! And this was most certainly different.

Alessa had immediately clamped her fingers down on the hem of her skirt, albiet too late to hide her from anything. She scowled at the retreating Nix boy, resisting the urge to kick him, which she managed by telling herself she was not the violent type, right? Just barely managed it. She hurried off to where her own car was gathering, mumbling under her breath all the while, "Is that what I get for trying to be sympathetic or start a conversation? Ohhh, that smug perverted little snake-! He can just go freeze in that snow, probably serve him right..." She gathered with the others, hoping the entirely more pleasant company and the cold would cool her off.

The witch only had time enough to stand up slightly before her name was being shouted and she was swung up into the only person's arms that would make her feel better right now. If she had only shed a few tears before, she shed many more now, bursting out into a sob as Braum's face touched her shoulder. A few more shaking breaths later (and maybe another sob or two) she nodded fiercely.

"I don't want to ride any more trains! They all turn out badly!!" Of course, Braum nor Yaya had heard of her last traumatic experience concerning a train, but still! This was almost as bad.... Almost. There was still a lot of time for this to turn around, but honestly Belladonna was not expecting it to end exceptionally well. Refusing to think on it, the witch took a deep breath and wrapped her arms around the boil, clinging as close as possible. She breathed in his scent, trying her hardest to stop the flow of tears as well as summon the courage she knew she now needed.
"Oh Hecate, you have glass in your wings!" Belladonna nearly shrieked, one hand delicately pulling out a piece. "Will you be ok? We can protect you too... But, um," Here she paused, not wanting to say it. "I think we have to stay with our groups..."

For a moment she turned, surveying the collection of weapons amassed. It took her only one second to decide she would fight as hard as possible and plucked up the Christmas Wreath, grabbing the little pills as well as the tent supplies and slinging them together in a little sack over her shoulder. Yet she dropped it quickly to jump and wrap her arms tightly around Braum's neck.

"We'll get out of this soon, ok? Be safe and I have my Skellyphone... I'll send you a text every now and again to let you know I'm ok and you do it too!" Reaching up on tip-toes she placed a kiss on his cheek. "You better make it out alright, you still owe me a date!" She turned to Yaya, feeling safe enough to give her a hug as well, though not as tight. "You too! Both of you!"

A flash of pink and a gleefully waving weapon let the marid know that West was safe. She breathed a small sigh of relief, fingertips pressing against the steady beat of her heart against her rib cage. One less person to realize, though considering She and West weren't particularily close, it was only a minor comfort. She she heard a voice calling back to her, Belle's voice. Spinning around the Djinn took two steps forward to catch the ghoul as she tripped in the snow, but coming up a few inches short. "Oh no. Belle, are you ok?" She didn't even have time to help the witch up before Braum's voice rang off to the right, and Belle was snatched up by a pair familiar arms.

Hadiyya could have just wept, she was so relieved to see him. In fact, a few warm tears traced their low way down the demon's face as Braum's hand reached out for her. It was all the invitation she needed, and she threw herself in against his side, clinging fiercely as she buried her head against his chest. Pressing as much of her self as he could against as much of him. A shiver starting at the base of her neck to make hunched shoulders tremble under the comforting warmth and softness of his wing. "Thank Jack.." She sniffed, the shivering spreading until her knees began to knock. Now that she knew he was ok, she could feel the could pressing around them. It hadn't touched her until that moment, and candlejack was it cold! "I thought.. I mean. Oh Braum I was so worried. Don't you dare leave me." She wasn't talking about the inevitable split back into their groups, and the Raum damn well knew it. The glass decorating his wings was not comforting. Of course she was sporting her own injury from the crash. It'd stopped bleeding at least, the marid's wrist was smeared in crimson from her having to wipe the blood away as it threatened to dribble into her eyes.

After a few long moments of clinging she let her self draw back, but only enough so she could watch Belle beside her while still keeping an arm around Braum. She didn't want to leave them again now that she'd found them, but she knew she didn't have a whole lot of say in the matter. There were still two people missing from her list of worries, but for just a moment she let herself sink into the familiar scent and feel of the boil beside her. And when Belle moved to give her a hug she returned it, rather more tightly then was probably expected. They weren't close, yet, but she really liked Belle, and she knew Braum fancied her. She was important.

Finally, reluctantly, Yaya let the other demon go so she could sling her pack up onto her shoulder. "I have my phone too. You better keep me updated, both of you!" Her tone left little room for debate. She was obviously unhappy about being split up again she was actually radiating her displeasure.

She took a step away, but paused, turning back so she could curl thin arms about the Raum's waste, clutching tightly. "Be careful, promise me."

Christof snatched up the crayon from Barth's grip immediately, pocketing it before something else leaped from the woods to attack them. When Barth commented on his leg, the hunchback glanced up again at him in sincere surprise. Someone had noticed and actually wondered how he was! Yes, Barth would make a good Master, kind and full of respect, he nodded, but suddenly they were being called back towards each other's separate cars. Well, damn. He pointed at Barth with a pointed look, raising two fingers to his own eyes before gesturing back to Barth. With a pat to his friend's shoulder, he hefted his backpack onto his hunch and quickly, and painfully limped after his fellow Grombles, not wanting to be left behind. Hopefully Barth could look after himself for the time being. He heard there were BIG WHITE BEARS that hid in the snow. Hopefully one wouldn't eat the demon while he was napping somewhere.

"Y...es, I can walk. Really, really sure." She assured the poor sometimes-horse-boil, who seemed to do nothing but worry about her. She was in the process of getting back to her feet when she noticed a rather intense amount of green. Oh god. Livi was here! Her stomach twisted nervously, reaching out to grab her Demon mentor.

"Y-yes...I MEAN NO! N-No I haven't b-been, umm, hiding..." Okay, so she was, but she didn't want to let him know that! "Y-yes to the, um, making friends..." She poited her fingertips together, but before she could say more a very pink Demoness had nearly pounced on her in a hug, emough to make her nearly squawk with surprise. "Lizzy!" She cried out in return, turning just enough to be able to hug the Demoness back. Thank Jack! "Umm, n-no I haven't...seen them." But there WERE a lot of students here, definitely. So there was a good chance they were nearby, really!

Before she could say anything more they were being ushered back into their original groups...sadly she was more or less relieved to not be grouped with Livi (gave him less chances to be...him. As much as she liked his attention, he was a little overbearing to her), she was sad to be parted from him.

"Umm...G-gotta go, I, um, guess. Bye, Livi! Uhh...Horseman!" She didn't know his name, but that would suffice, given the circumstances. Of course this time, she did not let go of Lizzy. The chilled undead child kept a hold on the Demoness' arm while they regrouped.
