A few minutes later, Kirabachi had given in to his urge and was sucking away at a cigarette with his guard behind him.
When he'd reached his third, an attendant entered the room and bowed. He placed a scroll with the Leaf Village's logo emblazoned on it before him on the desk and took his leave.
It was odd indeed for a message to reach him here, but he opened it without ceremony. As he read it, his eyes went wide. His cigarette fell out of his mouth into the small ash-tray before him.
It was only for a moment. His shock and awe was quickly overwritten with his normal mask of lethargy.
"Garou-kun. Leave me..."
Kirabachi picked up what was left of his cigarette and replaced it in his mouth.
"...there is a situation in the village that will need your attention. I'd like you to return and scout it out. The Hokage will not be reported to unfortunately... I will dispatch your teammate when he has finished here. You may make use of any ninja you come across who is not on a mission at the moment... get back to me when you can. It's not a priority. Your return may be delayed by medical needs... and if Rion has returned, you have my permission to recruit him to your mission.... provided he has not turned on us..."
Kirabachi paused and considered something for a long moment. The ANBU Captain took a deep drag from the last of his cigarette and exhaled deeply towards his student.
"ahhh... and you will be acting as a jonin from now on. This mission requires someone with rank to command the other ninja of the village if you com across them. I'll give you the temporary rank of Jonin until I can get the paperwork done... you are dismissed."
His voice was casual and unexcited- normal behavior for him. In truth- he was highly excited. He had just received a message that the Hokage had passed away. What that meant... he didn't know entirely. However, he couldn't leave the council. That would around suspicion. He couldn't have the Leaf Village appearing weak at a time when their leader had just been killed... that would invite disaster. The best he could do is dispatch Garou and hope for the best...

Can you truely see me... Garou Looking down at his sensei for a moment he realized that his sensei was in complete awe, he also noted that this was the first time it was something so big that the cigarette just fell from his mouth. If his sensei was in this much awe something big must have happened when they were away, regardless he stud by and listened in to what his sensei had to say about the situation the leaf was in. Something big was happening back home and his sensei was sending him back alone to see what the hell was going on and to help out with the village with the others that he could find along the way, strangely to him the words that came from his sensei’s mouth was " The Hokage will not be reported to unfortunately... " made it sound like as if the hokage was either badly wounded or he died in the situation. Looking back down to his sensei for a moment he nodded understanding his mission and what he had to do as he then used the body flicker to leave the kage summit room so his sensei could finish up his work there in peace. When he was dismissed he activated the body flicker to fast travel, running through the building that was somewhat full of guards to protect the kages he activated the body flicker again to quickly increase his speed to leave the building at once and was heading straight for his home village. This journey was going to take some time and if that was so he was willing to go a few nights without sleeping just to help, thankfully he was already prepared ahead of time to deal with a new assignment like this. in the Midnight Black?

Kirabachi pushed the matter at hand to the back of his mind for the time being. He was here and he could not leave until the end of the exams without raising suspicion. Unfortunately that meant the situation would not be able to benefit from his involvement... but who was to say he would help things right now. Perhaps it was best if he stayed out of it. A needle often finds its way though cloth better than a sword...
The cave containing Kagekarasu and his opponent was captivating his attention. The use of a mist technique was no doubt a poor choice... for anyone other than Kagekarasu.
If he could hold his trump card until the right moment, this fight was in the bag...

Within every illusion, there is reality"  As Akeru went over the meeting in her head, she began to wonder what the point of it was. It was obvious that something was fishy about sound, and that the Amekage was an idiot. Also they did have a vote, but other than that it was just information that Akeru assumed the villages had already gathered on eachother, and if not could easily gather on eachother. So what was the point of it? A show of solidarity? Showing the willingness to give information to eachother, even while keeping things hidden from eachother? "Kazekage-sama, can I ask you a question?"Akeru spoke quietly to Masato, trying not to let any of the others hear. The last thing she wanted to do was offend someone and start a conflict between two nations. "This summit...is it really all that important? I mean, what exactly got accomplished here, aside from the sound rep being a creepy jerk and the 'amekage' showing off how much money he has? I mean, I'd assume any smart kage would have people gathering information on the other villages, and would have pretty much already known about all the major events..."

Masato continued to sit where he was situated during the meeting, waiting for the notes that would be provided for him reflecting the previous rounds. However, Akeru seemed to have a questions, which he was happy to answer. "Though it may seem like we rushed here just to waste time, if you analyze the body language of the other kages you can tell who our closest allies are. I can confidently say that Stone and Cloud our the most important, Leaf seems to be neutral to everyone, and the Mist has some hostility towards everyone. As for the minor villages we stand well with everyone except the Rain Village. Not to mention our main reason for being here was to elect a new Head Ninja, which we were able to elect someone that can continue the betterment of the alliance."
The man smiled as he answered her question in a hushed tone, however once he was finished he moved onto a question of his own. "I have to ask, did you hear the sort of tone the Leaf proxy had a moment ago, and how quickly he sent his own bodyguard? I think something has happened, do you think this can be used to better the relationship between Sand and Leaf? Also, can you tell me what rank you are currently? I haven't seen your file since your own chunin exam..."

 Kiko scanned the room, looking from kage to kage. She had to wonder how the Kazekage was around his subjects-especially Ichi. Speaking of Ichi, there was something she needed to ask Nemutai-kage-sensei. "Nemutai-sensei-kage...May I ask you something?" she posed quietly to him, thinking now would be a good time. "How difficult would it be...to obtain a visitation pass to another village?" She was curious, and her face turned slightly red-the obvious showing on her face.Tsukiko Theme

"well first off, Which village; and how long would the Pass be for? The longer the Stay the harder the request is; and the ties from village to village also effect the pass as well" Nemutai said looking up at Kiko; There where no matches of his village so he would allow himself to slit his attention slightly; letting himself speak with Kiko. "Also when you ask if you can ask something; you normally should wait for an answer before asking a question anyways" He said nodding slightly.

Her face flushed a deepr red, and she looked down a bit. "Ah..sorry...." She fiddled with a bit of stray cloth on the chair he sat in, before speaking. "To...Sunagakure..." she said quietly, twiddling her thumbs. "I'd like to visit...Ichite-ru." She flushed a bit, and twirled a bit of gray hair around her hand, the nervousness evident in her actions.Tsukiko Theme

As she said that she wanted to visit the village hidden in the sand; One of the Raikage's eyebrow raised slightly; which was only exaggerated by the fact that the Raikage's mouth was covered. By his scarf. "Well The Sand.... In that case; you should go visit the New Kazekage' and ask him yourself; asking yourself other then asking Via a bird would look much better on your behalf" He said nodding to Kiko. "Just go around and ask him" He said shrugging slightly in his seat.

Kiko nodded, and straightened herself up, San keeping a lookout under the table for Nemutai. "Yessir." With that, she paused, and walked over quietly to the Kazekage's seat, keeping her distance slightly. "Pardon me, Kazekage-sama...may I ask you something?" she posed, keeping her voice quiet but calm. It was loud enough to where he could hear it, but low enough to not bother anyone else besides his escort and himself.Tsukiko Theme

The kazekage was waiting for the answer from Akeru until he heard someone interrupt, he promptly gave Akeru a small bow using only his head and placed a finger over his lips as if to say, "Just a moment." With one motion he swung his head around to scan over the girl that was talking to him, "How may I help you?" His voice was calm and gentle, by no means did it sound like he could do harm.

She bowed politely, and smiled at him, face flushed. "If it would be possible, Kazekage-sama....I'd like to obtain a visitation pass to enter your village. There's...someone I care about in Sunagakure, and I'd like to visit him and see how he is." She bit her lip, making the metal ring clink slightly as it hit her teeth gently. Kiko was nervous, and she could smell it on herself. Well, what she could smell of herself-the Kazekage smelled of blood, thick and irony. Perhaps..he was a medic? She was curious, and her nose twitched a bit as she sniffed the air quietly.Tsukiko Theme

Masato watched the girl's body language, making note of small facial expressions before her nose twitched. Was she smelling him? "Could you please not sniff me out? I'm sure I don't smell good in the slightest... And I can't really say anything until you tell me who you plan on 'visiting'." The man gave a comforting smile before sneaking a look around the room, maybe this was the biggest blessing in disguise, granted, the Cloud village was still rebuilding following the attack they suffered, however if Sand aided more closely, they would be in Cloud's good graces when it's power was restored.

Her face lit up like a Christmas light as he spoke. "Ah! Pardon Kazekage-sama...it's just to familiarize with you...." Her face was red as a beet-she'd already embarrassed herself. "It's...an Inuzuka trait that comes out in the best and worst situations, I'm afraid...I apologize." She bowed, and stood up again, face still flushed. "I...would like to visit Ichite-ru Shujouteki." Her eyes looked at his dead on, the slits in her emerald ones moving ever so slightly.Tsukiko Theme

Oooooh blush! That meant she cared for the boy, in some depth this sort of behavior could be used to his advantage. From this belief he looked her back, eye to eye and stated plainly in a lower tone, she had a dog's sort of hearing correct?. "If you would like to see your boyfriend, I demand a full alliance between Sand and Cloud." He looked around for a moment making sure his hushed tone was unheard by the other kages, anything taken out of context could be horribly turned around on them. "If you can guarantee that I would have no problem looking over visitation papers, as well as other things to help both of our villages."
