Once she had written down the names of the training techniques Ten'nyo went back to her studying. As an in-between stage, some ninja can partially manipulate their chakra. This means they can use their chakra but without effectively controlling it which results in a poorly executed technique. To manipulate their chakra more easily, hand seals can be used. With these hand seals, users can control their chakra with higher efficiency, allowing them to execute their techniques more effectively. Different techniques also require the use of different hand seals. The material sound right and it sounded like it made sense but Ten'nyo had yet to actually learn a jutsu yet so she was unfamiliar with how all of this worked. She had learned the physical shape of the hand seals so she had at least a small idea of how that process worked.

After her little spat with the other patrons of the library Ten'nyo went back to her reading. The general term for the exact molding and proper manipulation of chakra is called "chakra control". People with skilled chakra control are usually Medical-nin or Sensor-types, both of which requires extreme control over chakra to be effective. Genjutsu also requires good chakra control. A good way to build up chakra in the body is to spin it into a tight spiral. Whether to spin the chakra left or right is dependent on the way the user's hair grows, either to the right or left. An opponent can negate a technique by absorbing it and reversing the spin of the chakra within their own body. As Ten'nyo continued on she found interesting that those fields required such a high degree of skill. It also made her wonder what it is that would make someone great at using ninjutsu.

Ten'nyo then began to continue reading from the book. Advanced elements such as Wood Release and Ice Release are created by combining different elemental chakra types. Doing this is only possible with a kekkei genkai. Ten'nyo was somewhat familiar with this latest concept. She knew that her dad was capable of using vibration release, though she didn't really know much more than the fact that it was the result of wind and lightning working together. I'll have to ask him more about it when I finish here. she thought to herself. After which she continued reading. Senjutsu chakra (仙術チャクラ, senjutsu chakura) is the chakra needed to perform senjutsu, which contains the energy found in nature itself. It is a powerful source of energy, able to grant a ninja increased strength, speed, and endurance for taijutsu, as well as enhancing the power of one's ninjutsu and genjutsu.

Ten'nyo closed the book and slid it to the other side of the table. Pen in hand, she crossed off the topics that the book had answered and browsed her stack for the next book that she'd start reading. Having decided that she wanted to know more about the chakra circulatory system the girl searched through several books' table of contents for a chapter containing the information. With such a high pile of books stacked on top of her table it didn't take long to find one. She pulled the book over and flipped to the chapter containing the information that she wanted. Chakra Pathway System is the term for the channels within the body that transfer and channel chakra. Simply put they serve the same function for chakra as blood vessels do for blood. Along the chakra pathways, there 361 nodes called tenketsu that control the flow of chakra like circuit breakers, and within those tenketsu are Eight Gates which control body function and strain levels.

Mazu entered the buildings as he was exploring the village. He trotted off through the library, amazed by the sheer number of books. The most he'd ever seen in his life were on a small bookshelf in his room.

He set off to leave but realized that he hand wandered so far into the library that the tall bookcases obscured the exit from view. He thought about and retraced his steps. Soon he was back on the street exploring the village again.

Miyako already knew a lot about puppetry. She was fascinated with it for as long as she could remember. Something about creating something out of basic materials, and then making them move and come to life was almost unthinkable. She alreayd had a book filled with ideas and contraptions she could attach to her first puppet. She turned the page and began reading it over.

The next page showed an illustration of a ninja controlling a puppet using chakra strings. The paragraph underneath mentioned how the strings were just like strings attached to a normal puppet, but made with chakra, allowing long-range attacks. It also mentioned some jutsu being able to control actual people. Wow... you can attach them to people as well? That's awesome! I'm sooo going to try it!

The next page was a little unsettling. The entire page showed the anatomy of the human body. Next to it was the same person but hollowed out and made into a puppet. She turned to the page which had paragraphs explaining the picture. She gasped at what she read. A few hushes were thrown at her, but she didn't hear them. She was too shocked to learn a technique used by some puppeteers. She didn't know if she would ever be able to turn a person into a puppet, not without losing some of her humanity. "Who could ever do such a thing?" she whispered to herself.

Just like a marionette, the user controls a puppet using strings of chakra from his fingers. Another useful quality of this skill is the fact that the puppet can take the form of another person, object, or, more commonly, the form of the user. Puppets are fitted with various hidden devices, most commonly extending blades, various projectile launchers, and poison, both in gaseous form and liquid coating their weapons. See the "Puppetry" thread for more info. This technique can also be adapted to control humans as if they were puppets, or another puppeteer's puppets.
Cp cost: 2 cp per round the puppets are used.
Requirements: Puppet Play 3, Chakra Control 10
Training: 2 stages
Stage I: Puppet Play DC 15 Familiarization with the art of puppetry.

Miyako didn't notice the time and ran to the counter. "I'd like to check this book out." The librarian gave a small grunt, remembering who the girl was in her outfit not entirely appropriate to wear in public. She wrote down her name, living quarters, and a return date, giving Miyako a copy of it. "I know, no later than the date, thanks! Bye!" Miyako ran off before she could hear the lady telling her to hush.
