Hercules was the son of Zeus (or if you prefer the Greek version, Jupiter) and according to mythology, yes he had a body, and it was even mortal but that is mythology and so did not ever actually exist.
you got the statement mixed up.
Zeus is the Greek god of thunder, Jupiter is the name Zeus is known by to the Romans.
Heracles was his greek name, and Hercules is his Roman name.
7th grade Greek/Roman mythology class! BOOSH!
modern day media however makes Hercules the standard name of the demi-god son of Zeus who is gifted with the power of superhuman physical strength.
a demi-god is created when a god has sex with a mortal and sires a child who is indeed half-god and half-human, creating the full blown demi-god.
you cannot have more than 2 halves in a being, otherwise you have an extra half a person laying lifeless on the ground. hence why you cant claim in roleplays to be half race A, half race B, half race C, and half race D, as that constitutes 2 actual characters, and the actual breakdown must be a breakdown of half the dominant/primary genetic family, and quarters the recessive or secondary gene types.
if I gave too much info, this is my official notice I'm bacjk whenever possible and hopefully more often!
and as an added bonus, Zeus and his greek god kin were defeated passively by the teaching of Jesus Christ, the greek gods lost followers when Chrstianity became popular over the course of time. a "frisky" king of the gods didnt have much hope to the pure hearted son of a single all-knowing god who was the manifest of his father's love. Christianity seems to have dismantled a lot of multi-god faiths... I mean, the nrose gods are all but forgotten, the grene gods arent worshipped as often as they'd like, and the egyptian gods dont have all that many worshipers either by comparison.
