User ImageTally studied the old man on his throne. Not even flinching when Callia attacked him but surprised to see him shatter the rock. She wished he could be that powerful, he was amazing for such and old crazy looking man. A little creepy, she watched, flicking her head back and forth to follow him as he circled her. Like a vulture She bit her lip to keep herself from shuffling away, which could possibly be considered mocking. "I can bend.." She said evasively, "See...ah...throw something at me" The nervous voice surprised her. So frustrating to not know what to say.

Kaito cautiously took his first few steps into Ba Sing Se. He wore an expression on his face - the kind you have when you're half expecting to be jumped or ambushed. Ever so slightly turning his head, he kept his field of vision wide enough to see left and right. After a few minutes of walking, he figured he was just being paranoid. No one should recognize him anyways.

Now it was just time to find someone important-looking.

Callia watched apprehensively and winced at the girls choice of words. " Bumi something small!" she cautioned the old man. She knew if it was up tp the crazy old king he'd throw something huge at the girl just to truly test her. Not wanting her new but sometimes annoying friend to be crushed she cautioned the old man. The old King walked a few paces away from her as he acknowleged Callia. Bumi pouted at his young friend but sighed and kicked up a small boulder and hurled it at the water bender. He hoped she could negate the boulder, that would be helpful to his well builders.

User ImageTally grunted annoyed when Callia told the king to make sure it was small. It wasn't like he would throw something that would kill her, right? Almost immediately Bumi threw the rock, she smile, no hesitation. Drawing out her water Tally struck out at the rock, sloppy bending forming the water on one side on the rock. Tally turned her shoulders to dodge the only slightly diverted boulder. "heehee"

"Miss Azula, time for lunch." One of the nurses came out to the patio where Azula was brooding in a chair. She held a tray with a steaming teapot, an empty cup, and small dishes holding various foods.

"And what makes you think I'm hungry, you incompetent bimbo?" The former princess was feeling snappish, having gone over her last fight with Zuko and her subsequent defeat by that stupid Water tribe peasant yet again.

The nurse was unfazed by Azula's mood and set the tray down on a nearby table. "Miss Azula, you must eat. If you don't, how can you keep up your health?" She gave the young woman a stern glare. "If you don't, we can make you."

An overt threat wasn't the best thing to make to Azula right now. She launched herself at the nurse, snarling oaths and curses. The nurse screamed and stumbled backward, knocking over the table and tray. Other nurses were rushing in, trying to calm Azula, but she ignored their efforts and continued to attack. Blue fire sprang from her fists intermittently. She was firebending, but it was uncontrolled. People got burned by the reckless flames, and soon, cries of pain were mingled with the cries for her to calm down.

"Is this any way a princess should behave?" Azula froze for a moment at the sound of a familiar voice. It sounded like her mother. Her hesitation allowed some of the male nurses to grab her and restrain her. Too late, she struggled and growled, behaving like a wild animal. The men were too strong for her, though, and they soon had manacles on her wrists. One of the doctors came up, holding a cup of something.

"Miss Azula, you'll need to drink this. It'll make you feel better, I promise." Azula spat in his face. The nurses seized her chin and forced open her mouth while the doctor poured the contents of the cup into it. She was forced to either swallow or drown. Azula swallowed and began coughing.

"You bastards... You'll pay for this!" She began struggling again, but felt a strange lassitude come over her. For some reason, her arms and legs were slow to respond. A wave of dizziness overcame her and her knees suddenly bent. Only the nurses holding her kept her from hitting the ground.

As her vision went fuzzy, Azula thought she saw her mother, looking sadly at her. She heard her ask, "Oh, Azula, why did it come to this?" before blackness claimed her.

Callia winced as Bumi threw the boulder but sighed as the rock was mostly diverted. With her fears mostly averted she smiled softly. Bumi chuckled and nodded slightly. " You've got some skill, so we can use you in our work." Callia nodded and stood there not quite knowing what to do completely here, she never was good with people like this.

User ImageKaito eyed the palace from a distance. Was he really about to do this? Then again... he scoffed, it was authority. People that sit comfortably in their thrones to run their domain. People that make the rules - draw the box - with no comprehension of what it's like to be confined to working inside it. They "discard" - whatever that may mean in other contexts - the outliers with a flick of a wrist or point of a finger. He made his way to the front of the palace, alert for anyone patrolling the area. He wanted in, and he was going to get in.

As a man dressed in green and gold stepped out of a tall door and made a turn, Kaito slipped in unnoticed into the palace itself.

((Ugh... I can't believe it. I'm playing an old MMO that I told myself I would never play again. The only redeeming factor is that is one of the few ways I can spend time with a dear friend across the country, along with some of her friends I haven't hung out with in almost a decade. And yes, a decade is long, considering I'm only 19... x.x; ))

User ImageTally grinned ear to ear as he accepted her. This weird guy that was supposedly king was accepting her. Even Callia was smiling after being grumpy the whole way up. It was part of her grumpiness that Stressed Tally and caused her to act even more excited. Moods wear on people, a smile can bring the whole room up, a frown could ruin an amazing celebration. Since it was Tally's nature to smile she wanted to hold the former, to smile constantly. "Thank you so much" She beamed trying to put the water back in her bottle, missing much of it and having to try several times discretely to return all of it.

Kaito walked cautiously through the palace. Taking the most obvious paths and largest hallways would no doubt lead him to the room where audiences were granted before the leader, and an audience he desired. He walked in quiet slow steps, hugging the edges of the room, cautious not to bump his gourd to the wall. A hollow gourd, fluid-filled or not, would make an easily noticeable sound. As he approached what appeared to be the audience chamber, he peered through the doorway. He was surprised to see an audience already granted. There was girl with short green hair, as well as another girl with straight blue hair. He'd just barely missed seeing the waterbender use her abilities, but he did spot the bottle on her person. Certainly doesn't look like a bottle you'd drink from. A... waterbender perhaps...? Kaito had no issues with decisiveness. He walked in with an aura of confidence and awareness, eyeing the... freaky-looking thoroughly aged man? Seriously? This is supposed to be the king? Kaito held back a sigh. Maybe the real king wasn't about to waste time dabbling with granting citizens audiences, but either way, he needed to speak.

"Excuse me. I am here for a new life. I need a job."

((Since Wingtip hasn't posted for a bit, I'll just move ahead.))

Announcements were dispatched, and as they left, Kallan breathed a sigh of relief. One less thing off of her plate. She was sitting in her office, surrounded by papers again, and was skimming through a report on the progress of Zuko's new office. It looked as if the workers were ahead of schedule, so the Firelord might be able to start using his office the day after tomorrow. Things were going similarly well with repairs to the throne room. It would be fit for royal audiences by the next two days. She marked a note to add a little extra tip for the excellent service.

She put aside those reports and realized she'd read through all of them. Today had gone so well after that ugly little run-in with General Vahm. Kallan made a little tch noise of disgust at the memory and rose from her desk with the idea of taking a walk around the city. It was evening now, and she wanted to simply get away from her duties for a little while. The best solution would be to take a vacation and visit her parents in the countryside, but right now, that was out of the question. There was too much responsibility for her now to leave the capital at the moment.

At least the Mid-Autumn Festival would be soon. Thinking about it gave her an idea. Zuko had put her in charge of the guest list for the party at the palace. She pulled it out from the wall scroll rack and skimmed it over.

"Just as I thought. I forgot major dignitaries from other kingdoms. That can easily be remedied." Kallan pulled out invitations from her stationary stock and began writing in her neat script.

You are respectfully invited to the Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration in the Firelord's capital palace.

Simple, to the point, and bound to cause a lot of uproar with the Fire Nation nobility. She laughed to herself at the thought of General Vahm's face especially, when he realized that other nations were being welcomed into the palace.

Copies were made and given to messenger hawks. One to the Southern Air Temple, where the Avatar was last rumored to be seen after the Battle of Sozen's Comet, one to Bah Sing Se for General Iroh and whoever he wished to bring, one to Omashu for Toph and King Bumi, and several others around the world. Kallan made sure to include Zuko's personal crest on the birds' harnesses. Now the only thing was to wait for responses.

((This would be a perfect excuse for everyone to go to the Fire Nation! *hinthintnudgenudge*))

User ImageMaking his way away from the docks Shoji exhaled in silence brushing his long hair out of his face. There was alot of comotion about the upcoming festival but Shoji wasn't here to celebrate or enjoy himself. He was still suspiciouse of the fire nation goverment and since so many that served under Ozai were still in control of the nation his suspicions could be well founded. Intent on finding evidence that the fire nation couldn't be trusted or at least remind them that they were still being watched he began heading further up towards the capital.

Thinking about the last time he'd been here bugged him but he'd learnt alot since then, he wasn't much for bragging but being in prison had given him time to practice his unarmed combat with people from all three nations and allowed him to practice the flowing movements of the water tribes and the sudden strikes of the fire nation. Smirking at the thought of the damage he'd done one the day of black sun helped pick him up but either way they'd lost and he wasn't about to let it happen a second time.
