Cole turned and walked off without a word to the demon and his friend and only gave Jessie a mere flick of his tail for her to follow, not that he was in monster form he might as well wander, but when he noticed that Donovan guy come and talk to her, flirting he felt annoyed and a bit protective, quickly pacing over almost in a lizard like way. "Well Donovan, I don't like it wen new guys go and flirt with girls they've just met." He hissed and watched with harsh eyes. He looked rather odd as his monster form was a large horse sized cat with a humanoid face. He was true sphynx, the one the Egyptians made statues after in their own style.

Alistar figured he might as well check out the new people. He checked his other shoe lace to make sure it was still tied. He had no clue how he, as a ghost, could trip over his shoelaces, but it had happened, and he really hadn't asked why. Perhaps it was because he didn't tend to float around like other ghosts. Or perhaps it was because he thought he could trip over them, so he did. Whatever the case, Alistar stood up and phased right through his door slowly to enter the hall.

No use reaching for the doorknob anymore. He'd just go through that too. He looked over his shaded spectacles at a group not too far down the hall from him. There was one strange looking cat over there with what seemed to be a boy and girl. Of course this cat wasn't normal house cat style, and that, dispite being a ghost, a bit uneasy.

He sighed and as his breath came out like a cold draft of air he started to walk down the hall towards them. Well, this was it; the moment of truth. It was time to see what this bunch would do when they saw his semi-transparent body wandering casually over.

☢..Hecate..☢

Hecate pushed her left palm forward letting it collided with the fine material of the hotel's front door. Her figure pulled in however her right arm remained outside as the door slammed shut against her arm. She made no screams of pain or even a flinch. Pulling away the flesh of her arm tore off up to her elbow as she exhaled a sigh of agitation through the gas mask she wore causing it to be muffled though clearly heard. The bone was revealed as the torn flesh hung loosely she twisted on her left heel facing the door. Using her still attached arm she placed her palm against the door easing it open to free her right arm as it fell towards her down below her feet.

Lowering her torso to where she could lean down scooping her right arm into her left pulling upwards as she stared in frustration at the detached limb. She held the limb by the wrist as she placed it against the bone that had been revealed pushing upwards as the flesh gave off an unpleasant sound as it began to reattach itself. The bone cracking as she rolled her wrist then her shoulder releasing any tenseness that may have occurred.

A single drop of sweat rolled down the flesh of her forehead as she shook her head causing the lime green strands of hair to pull away from her eyes and shift back into place. Hecate placed both her hands against her right and left hip tilting herself backwards causing her back to crack. Her eyes narrowed to a shut her expression seemed to change the way her eyes narrowed to a slim shut showed that perhaps behind that gas mask she would be smiling to herself.

Pulling back to where she stood to an erect stand she stood to a complete stand still placing her right palm against the back of her neck showing she was contemplating she spoke to herself however aloud as if have a conversation with herself. Her fingers scratched against the back of her neck only to drop back to her side after a few moments.

“Ah, should I go to my room .. or perhaps have a bite to eat?”

Laughing to herself at her own remark the wet sound of a tongue against the flesh of lips emitted from behind her mask which was exactly what she was doing. Hecate was licking her lips at the thought of chowing down. Hecate now stood by her lonesome in the lobby of the hotel still contemplating on perhaps what she would do. Tapping her foot against the flooring caused a rather loud echo to bounce off the walls of the area. Perhaps reaching the ears of a bystander.

“Well .. I’m here .. Let’s make myself at home! ..

If only I had a map to my ‘home’ ..”

Hecate sighed dropping her arms lazily in front of herself. She was utterly lost; questioning where her own room was even. Another drop of sweat rolling down the deathly pale flesh of her forehead now unsure of where to go from that point.

The ghost called Alistar phased through the floor as he heard a loud tapping sound. Of course, to his ears it sounded loud because of the silence he was used to, whereas to anyone else it might've just been bacground noise. He had gone through the floor because he had been startled, and he didn't particularly want the group still a ways ahead of him to freak out and seeing a startled ghost.

Timid and considerate, some ghost I am, he thought to himself with an icy sigh. He ignored his self-lecture to locate the one who had tapped the ground in the first place. He found himself looking down until his ghostly shoes met the floor of the basement and he walked around before going up the stairs and pasing through the door. He made his way to the lobby slowly, avoiding any other sort of strange and sudden confrontation before he peered his pale translucent head into the lobby.

There seemed to be a strange green haired girl standing in the middle of it, looking rather confused and a bit lost. Taking pity on this lost sheep, and not wanting to frighten her, he hid behind the main door while he said, "Hello there... What brings you to this hotel, young miss...? Are you having trouble with anything in particular?" He felt a little stupid hiding himself like this, but he really didn't want to shock her or anything by presenting himself openly.

☢..Hecate..☢

Hecate arched her right eyebrow the sound of a voice emitted from the back of the door. She leaned to the side as if trying to peek at the figure that hid behind it huffing with frustration. She spoke muffled as usual from the material of her gas mask. The gas mask hissed before she actually got a word in, but then ceased as her voice emitted.

“Now, now.. No reason to hide.. Look I’ll make you a little deal? Help me out and I pinky promise that I won’t try and devour your flesh right off the bone, sound good?”

She snickered to herself as she flicked her wrist forward as if to offer her hand. Though whipping it out wasn’t the best idea, she was desperately in need of stitching due to the whole door event that left her right arm still tender and fragile. Her wrist ripped away from the rest of her arm along with her hand as it smacked against the wall before her. A mark of agitation popped up against her temple as she narrowed her eyes. The hand propped up against its fingers crawling against them it desperately crawled towards the main entrance as it stuck out the pinky, a grin twisting onto her lips. Though it wasn’t in view the look in her eyes gave it away that she found it rather comical and hoped for a reaction that might amuse her in the least.

Hecate shifted against her heels scooping up yet another fallen body part. She lifted her right arm as she held the detached limb shoving it onto the bone that peeked out from the flesh of her arm. Rolling her wrist as the bones cracked back into place she exhaled another hiss emitted from her gas mask as she shifted her glance back over to the main entrance. Waiting for the figure to show itself. The fingers of her left hand rubbed against the recently detached hand massaging against the flesh with the tips of her fingers. Being only a few feet away from the door she tilted her head gripping against her wrist before she released it only to place it against her right hip.

“Besides, if you don’t show yourself I’ll just have to open this door right up and if it comes to that no promises that I won’t actually rip you apart and make a nice little meal out of you.”

Unaware of the fact that this unknown ‘being’ couldn’t actually be ripped apart seeing as though he seemed to already be ‘dead’ and more then likely she'd go right through making it impossible to achieve such a thing. Nevertheless Hecate still made her remarks without any hesitation. Showing her rather deranged thinking. Placing her hands against her stomach her eyes lowered, however her eyes hinted again of her deranged grin that hid behind her mask.

“I’m awful hungry as it is.”

Alistar was a bit taken a back by this girl's words, but as the rather squishy thud of flesh hitting a solid object. He peeked under the door to see it was in fact, a hand, and he found was wasn't really disgusted at all... but that may have been due to the fact that it got up and returned to the girl where it had apparently fallen from. At her words he merely smiled, though the thought was a bit bitter that he was dead, it was at least pleasing to know that her taunts didn't really hold any weight on him. He was weightless after all.

"I'm afraid that won't be too much of a problem for me, miss..." he replied, "Can't do much of a pinky promise anymore either, I'm afraid."

Alistar pushed open the door slowly and it creaked somewhat loudly in the dark space as he stepped out in all his translucent glory. "You see," he remarked, "I'm not a exactly a fleshie anymore. My name is Alistar, one of the resident ghosts here at this, our haunted, Hotel." He made a sort of half bow in a polite fashion and stepped towards her, trying to gauge her reaction just in case he'd have to slip through the floor down to the basement once again.

Hecate was slightly disappointed that she didn’t get quite the humorous reaction she wished for but simply shrugged her shoulders at the thought, she’d have another chance to taunt, tease and frighten another resident perhaps have an ever better reaction then what came to mind. Oh how she looked forward to such a thing but for that time she pushed the wondrous thought of the future to the back of her head focusing on the present.

“What a shame just a ghosty, and here I was starving.”

She simply patted her tummy chuckling behind her gas mask. She curled the fingers of her right hand towards the center of her palm placing it upside her head as she realized she had forgotten to introduce herself. She wasn’t irritated at the thought of introducing herself would be the polite thing more so that she actually just simply forgot to do so. She didn’t honestly care if she was polite or not, but she decided to take advantage of the situation and at least ‘play nice’ for the time being that is.

“Call me Hecate.”

She seemed to shift on her heels as she walked around his translucent figure tapping her index finger against the side of her gas mask. Once reaching where she originally stood. She reached forward with her left hand swiping her hand through Alister’s head, then using her index and middle finger to poke through his eyes only for the two appendages to go through his head eyes to the back his head. Hecate dropped her arm back to her side after having her little moment of play with the ghostly condition of the newly made acquaintance.

“Probably right .. might be a little difficult to rip someone apart if you go right through em’.

You don’t look very tasty either, I don’t think you’d be much of a filling meal.”

She began to laugh in a slightly taunting manner, at the thought of ‘trying’ to eat a ghost or even towards the fact she made a remark about eating a ghost was rather humorous in her perspective. Inhaling caused her chest to pull inwards then out as she exhaled her gas mask hissing afterwards. Despite him being ‘dead’ or even him being a ‘ghost’ she didn’t even flinch, she showed no fear in the least. Though her curiosity took the best of her.

“Tell me ghosty, why were you hiding? Don’t tell me you were afraid.”

Waiting on his answer she decided to hold off on asking for help. Usually she preferred doing things on her own but she was no idiot. If she needed help badly enough or couldn’t do something on her own she would have no choice. She rather have help then make a fool of herself. Once she got her answer she would probably ask for directions, but again she decided to wait on this until her curiosity was settled.

Alistar observed her and came to the conclusion that she had to be a zombie. She was almost as dead as he was, but she was still attached to her flesh and still had to eat to fill her hunger. Though of course when he was alive he didn't exactly feast on human flesh, so though he couldn't totally relate, the fact that she seemed at ease around him settled him a little.

The ghost host watched her as she walked around him, observing him. This was another thing he didn't much like besides freaking people out; being studied. He shifted uncomfortably under her undead gaze. Once she stopped, he figured she was through, only to find that she was playing her own game by stabbing through his various body parts. He blinked as she put her fingers through his eyes and cut through half his slightly shaded teal glasses. He didn't use his spectacles for seeing, and he vaguely remembered them being a rose colour at some time, but he wasn't sure when that had been, or how he remembered. But either way her rash, though playful actions did offend him slightly.

He tried not to make a note of it and tried to merely consider an adequate answer to her new question for him. "I'm sure we could find you something suitable to eat around here... though I don't think the other tenants would be happy with you gnawing on their legs..." he replied, and paused before he sighed once more. "I wasn't afraid of you, per say, but I do tend to startle the general population and merit... well less than satisfactory responses. Running and Screaming is one way to put it." He paused once more before he adjusted his glasses a bit further down his nose before he replied, "I prefer much more subtle approaches..."

☢..Hecate..☢

Hecate pondered for a moment a muffled giggle passed through her mask. Lifting her left arm as she waved her hand in a gesture as if to omit to something. Her voice passing through the material of her gas mask after it gave off a strange sound, not the usual hiss instead it was somewhat unsettling. Hecate tilted her head to the left as it gave off a gruesome cracking sound. Finally deciding to make her next remark after she tilted her head back into place.

“I wonder why that is, you don’t seem the least bit frightening. Maybe they were just pansies, can’t handle a little ghosty. Tch, makes me laugh.”

A sadistic grin fell into her expression at the thought of a mortal with fear struck in their expression cowering and whining. Hecate could imagine them screaming out of fright and horror just by her presence. She sighed softly behind her mask; her grin was also hidden from Alister though a slight amount of joy glistened in her eyes. Licking her lips much like she did when she entered the place. Shaking her head as she came back to reality though not enjoying it, she stretched her arms above her head interlocking the fingers of her hands with one another only to then lay them both simultaneously atop of her head.

“Hmph, I’ll try to contain myself .. however I am starving! I’ll take you up on that offer ghosty. You just lead the way, cause honestly don’t have one clue as to where anything is in this maze. Let's find me some grub or even better a little alcohol never hurt anyone of course none in my state that is. Alcohol poisoning isn't much of an issue for me, Heh. I can drink until my heart's content .. though it' doesn't have much of a beat anymore.”

Hecate waved her left arm to the side as if gesturing for him to lead, her eyes now filled with a lust or sort of desire. She truly was hungry and it could possibly end badly if she didn’t get something at least to satisfy her. Hecate did however have some control over this hunger she wasn’t some loose cannon at least of course when it came to hunger. She waited for Alister to lead the way hoping this place really did have something to fill her craving.

Alistar grimaced slightly at the sound of the Zombie cracking her neck. It sent shivers up his spine; or in Alistar's case, lack thereof. He frowned slightly in response the ungodly sound, but kept his composure and tried to resist cracking the bones that he didn't have any more. It was just a natural response to a sound like that.

Little ghosty? This girl... Hecate... she almost makes me want to prove her wrong. I could be scary if I wanted... he thought to himself, but figured it would be no use, because he really didn't like scaring anyone. He thought that perhaps she would be better at this job of scaring people with her unusual behavior. It's not like he'd met many zombies though, and supposed he couldn't judge them all by the few he'd seen.

"We can head to the mess hall and I'll see if there's anything in the kitchen to fit your... tastes..." he replied and turned to the right side of the lobby, "But I have to wonder, would raw meat stave off your hunger?"

Alistar started walking, expecting her to follow. He didn't float like other ghosts, and tripped on untied shoelaces if he wasn't careful. He opened the door for her and let her go through to the hall connecting to the mess hall rather than just phasing through it himself. He could make some parts of himself semi-solid when he needed them to be, but that didn't help him very often. He was doing this to be polite.

☢..Hecate..☢

Hecate pushed off her right heel stepping hastily after Alister stepping over to where she pushed through the opened door. She clapped her hands together rubbing them much like the stereotypical ‘mad scientist’ would do when he came up with plan. However, Hecate did this in anticipation, just the thought of a slab of raw meat made her drool. Snickering to herself she cleared her throat trying not to seem so pathetic to this starvation as she straightened herself out she sighed with slight disappointment but quickly shook it away. ‘Better then nothing’ she thought.

“Well, that should do just fine. Not as good as fresh flesh off the bone but I should probably get used to not ‘gnawing’ on the others like you said they probably wouldn’t appreciate it. Oh but the temptation .. and it’s not just the meal you get in the end that’s satisfying, it’s the screams they give off while you catch and prepare your meal. But again I’ll contain myself and satisfy over a simple bland ‘substitute’.”

Sighing with contentment at this moment, her comment yet another display of her ‘dormant’ insanity. Hecate really did try to control herself but most of the time she didn't really want to. She loved letting it all go, her mind wild and untamable. Hecate grinned beneath her mask; the index finger of her right hand began to twirl a single strand of her unnaturally colored hair. It seemed to be a habit of hers to travel off into her rather twisted daydreaming.

Her hunger snapping her back out of her little thoughts as she stepped a few more feet before Alister. Hecate turned her head peeking over her shoulder, only to gesture her right hand outwards, holding out a flat palm as if to say ‘coming?’ which was exactly her thoughts seeing as though those were the exact words that followed right after this gesture.

“Well, you coming ghosty?”

After being ignored Cole hissed in discontent before shifting back into his human form and traipsing off, looking around he found himself getting braver and decided to explore. Finding the scent of food he followed it hoping for anything to eat, he'd been surviving on animal crackers alone and was often hungry although he had gotten used to it. He found ghost and a strange looking girl and cautiously shifted into his mouse form, skittering over to investigate, keeping behind them. He looked up at them with beady eyes, filled with curiosity, not watching where he was walking and bumped in the back of the girl's boot. "Oomph!" He grunted and turned to run back a ways but tripped on his tail, landing flat on his belly.

Alistar nodded and closed the door before he walked over to her. "Yes, I'm coming," he replied to the strange zombie girl. He shifted his glasses back down to the edge of his nose before he led on to the mess hall and kitchen.

They were almost there when Alistar heard something quite small very near to them. As he looked back, saw nothing until his gaze went to the floor. A little mouse had apparently stumbled into Hecate's boot and had attempted an escape. It looked that that had backfired a bit and Alistar knelt down to make his had more or less solid to help the small creature up. He often had mice come into his room, and he'd feed them cheese he stole from the kitchen routinely. He liked the little creatures.

Once the little fellow was back on his feet he stood up again and supposed they should continue walking to the mess hall before Hecate decided to eat the little guy.

Donovan was about to answer Jessies question when he heard the sphinx make a remark about flirtations or something. He simply started back at the creature with a bit of a smirk and leaned against the wall, crossing his arms as he placed his right foot up against the wall behind him.

"I do nothing so trivial as flirt little shapeshifter. Don't go taking that tone with me. Jealousy doesn't become you. You can go on with you're wooing if you like."

This time it was Donovan that went ignored as he watched the distracted sphinx fall flat after tripping over his tail.

"Maybe you should stick to a form that you're used to..." Donvan said, without pausing. He was notorious for just saying what he thought at times, which had gotten him in trouble in the past. Donovan stood up away from the wall, anticipating a confrontation. He placed his hands behind his back, one of which secretly preparing to grab the sword he kept hidden under his coat if need be. A smile stretched across his face.
