Rose managed to turn the TARDIS so that it was facing away from John. She then quickly unlocked the door and ran inside. The dormant ship felt like a blessing as she ran through its corridors and arrived at the closet. To her dismay she noted that the Doctor had NOT organized it as he often swore he would. After a few seconds of frantic digging she found what she was looking for: large flask of anti-oil.
"If it moves, it doesn't," Rose said with a wry grin remembering her run in with the clockwork droids. She quickly attached a pump to the container and ran out. She slipped out of the Tardis as silently as possible.
"John, are they still trying to get in?" she asked blowing a stray hair off her face.

"Ya, they kinda got me" John said while being surrounded by Cybershades. He was aiming the screwdriver at them and it was not working anymore. He did a shy smile at Rose.

Rose gave a start as the Cybershades broke through and began surrounding them.
"John get behind me!" she yelled as she lifted the nozzle and sprayed the Cybershades with the chemical.
Five Cybershades immediately collapsed and began to rust.
"Oh right... RED is the anti-oil BLUE is the oxidizer," she blinked, "Works out anyway. John, are you okay? Not missing any body parts are you?"

"Nope, I'm good" he said while watching her spray the Cybershades. He got a real thrill out of all this evan though his life was in extreme danger. He felt like there needed to be some awesome Music in the background

Rose shot him a crooked smile, he was staring down death and hadn't even broken a sweat.
"Just like old times..." she chuckled before kicking open the door, "Stay close."
The Cybershades could not have been more than 16 or so, but they darted towards them so quickly they appeared far more than that. She stared them down with a cocky smirk and began spraying them all with the blue chemical. A particularly clever Cybershade circled around and swiped at John, yowling loudly.
[Ooh the music definitely helps! xd ]

John moved out of the way just in time but his side got cut. He pulled out his sonic screwdriver and aimed it at the Shade. When he pressed the button the shade started to shut down. He thought that was a bit unusual. Must be a handy device and ran along with Rose while pulling Amy along with them.

Rose clenched her teeth and blasted the offending Shade with a face full of oxidizer.
"Are you okay?" she asked worriedly placing herself between the feral creatures and her two companions. The monsters were scattered about some stumbling erratically before collapsing in rusted piles of metal, while others paced around them restlessly looking for an opening.

"No I'm fine" he said quickly while holding his side where his hand had blood on it. "Just a small cut, not like I'm going to die from it" he said while smiling.

Rose frowned as she saw him grab his side. She felt a cold anger fill her. They had hurt him, and now, there was nothing on this Earth that could save them from her wrath.
She lunged at the trio spraying a steady stream of blue chemical in her wake. She only managed to catch one and it immediately collapsed. The other two ran off abandoning their fallen pack. She tossed the tank aside as she saw them hurry off towards the riverbank. Her hand reached for her blaster and she noted she still had a bit of the battery left. They were afraid and running... good.
"Disgusting monsters," Rose scowled aiming her gun at them and prepared to shoot, "why don't you all just stay dead?"

John touched her hand. "No let them go." he said while looking into her eyes. "All that matters now is that everyone is ok" He then handed back the Sonic Screwdriver back to her.

There was anger and hurt in Rose's eyes. She hated Cybermen, as much as it was possible for a person to hate something. She had spent her time in Torchwood tracking every last remnant of these abominations and destroying them.
"I can't..." she finally said in a voice thick with sadness and resentment, "...they took someone from me, someone very important. They just reached out of the dark, and stole him... I can't forgive them, I won't. Not as long as there's still one of these monsters alive... they all deserve to die... even if I have to hunt them down myself."
Her hands trembled even as they held the blaster.

John looked serious as he looked at her. "There not going to take anymore from you. I'll make sure of that." he kept a soft but strong hand on her hand. "We must all learn to forgive."

"You're right John, because I have nothing else for them to take," she whispered closing her eyes and steadying her breath, "He was so full of mercy. He forgave so much, and they killed him because of it. That day, everything good and kind inside of me died. I don't hand out second chances anymore."
Two blasts rang out and the Cybershades collapsed on the muddy ground their bronze heads cracked open. Rose's eyes were hollow as she stared at the fallen figures. It was done. The monsters were dead.

John had a angered look on his face. "They were just trying to leave." He said coldly and let go of her. He gathered his things and walked toward the door alone. "Thank you both for helping and saving me." after that he headed out towards the boats wanting to go home. He had missed his rehearsal and knew that he would be yelled at again.

Rose slowly lowered her blaster with the same doll-eyed look in her face. She looked down at her hands knowing she had made a choice. She could have let them go, the would have terrorized the town and possibly attacked the Doctor again... but she would have had his friendship. Instead, she had kept him safe but lost his respect.
"I'm sorry I've disappointed you, John," she said quietly, "I'm sorry you had to see any of this."
What use was it to cry? She'd already cried far too many tears over these monsters, she was incapable of shedding more. And still there was an even darker work to be done.
Using the Sonic Screwdriver she opened the chest cavity of the nearest Cybershade. Torchwood had taught her well, and soon she was digging through the pale gelatinous ooze that was the Cybershade's insides. She worked quickly and uploaded a virus on her Omni-Scanner into the Cyberware programming. The rusty shell of the shade twitched and then came the screaming... first one then all of the rusty Shades howled as one before sparks flew out of their bodies and they were permanently shut down. Rose sighed, permanently decommissioning Cybermen was always unnerving.
