((Okies. No worries. And yesh, it's getting interesting. 4laugh ))

"Well if it's not forever, I'm fine with whatever happens." The brown male said calmly, still worried for his mother. Even if he was gone for a day, she freaks out, it's hard living with Mahiri sometimes, Bairn thought. "Hmmm. Opinions? Advice" The stallion thought for a moment or two then just chuckled. "Well, for starters, do what your heart tells you!" He said jokingly, but quickly became serious. "Alright. Honestly, Aruna...you are different then most soquili's. If that stallion sees you the way father and I do, then he's special. Don't let what you want get away from you."

That voice! The fox mare's ears perked up excitedly. Hania! Her mate had come to see her! "Hania! Dear love!" She shouted, running up to him and nuzzling her mate softly. It was so wonderful to be around him again, after all this time. Nipping him playfully, she asked, "What have you been up to, Hania? Ooh! I've missed that nickname you've given me so much." Her petit body was just filled with joy and she couldn't wait to express it by her 'special' way.

Aruna rolled her eyes at her brother. "Sure. Do what my heart tells me. I'll keep that in mind," She bit out sarcastically, and then became serious as well. "I doubt he sees me the way you and Father do. If anything, he just thinks it's fun to irritate me." She sighed ruefully as she pawed the ground thoughtfully. "I've met different stallions, but to tell you the truth, I really don't know who would be 'right' for me." She looked into her brother's deep brown eyes. "What stallion would like an impassive mare who bites out insults?"

Hania nuzzled his mate, thrilled to see her beautiful self. It had been too long, far too long... "Hiri! It's been far too long! I feel ever so guilty for not visiting! I have been unable to visit, dear one. Aruna sends her greetings, but I don't care about what she says right now!" He rubbed his head gently against his mate's long, graceful neck, and whispered, "Do you... want to go 'out' and 'play', dearest?" He was honestly ready to go out and play and frolick and all that whatnot with his mate. As he said... it had been far too long.

"Good, that's always the best thing to do!" The stallion smirked at his sister playfully. "Well if he doesn't, then he's not the right stallion for you, love. You need to find someone who truely cares. Test it, perhaps if needed. Pretend to get hurt and see if anyone tries to protect you." Bairn shrugged his shoulders, knowing that wasn't the best thing to say, but he didn't exactly know what else there was. In the whole love department, Bairn was failing, he had no experience at all. Thinking about her question, the brown male sighed, "Maybe an impassive stallion who bits out insults? No, seriously? Maybe you'll find someone who will change you and you won't insult him."

Her happiness was getting stronger by the second, the mare just wanted to show her mate how much she loved him. "It's alright, love. If you and your bonded are busy, I understand. Besides, the longer you're gone the more exciting it is to see you!" Mahiri giggled happily, "Tell my daughter I miss her." The fox colored mare grinned, missing both of her daughters terribly. "Play? Yes! That sounds wonderful!" She laughed, relieved that he wanted to run around just as much as she did. "Catch me!" Mahiri yelled, and took off running from her mate. With the morning wind in her face and a bright smile, she ran towards the clearing.

Aruna smirked at her brother. "Maybe I should take your idea. Of course, I'd like you to come along in case I do actually get hurt, because I wouldn't want Mother and Father to worry." She thought over what he told her. Neither she or her siblings had that much experience in love, and Hania had told her--once--that no one was very good at love, not even him. All she'd gotten from her father was, and she said this out loud, "All you can do is feel. Whatever feels right to you, hold on to it. If that feeling fades, then it was merely temporary. Try again, and if that feeling holds, you know that it was meant to be." She smiled at Bairn. "Father told me that, a long time ago, when I asked about the meaning of 'love', and he had to actually think for a second!"

Hania's happiness was also getting stronger and stronger. "Hey! I'll have you know I've practiced manuevering through the forest! I'll catch you for sure this time!" He called out to her, and started at a canter to chase after her, building his speed until he was at a full run, and into the clearing, as in the clearing, where they had once frolicked and played and just had fun with each other. "This place holds so many memories..." he said to himself, a wide grin on his face. "Hiri! I'm going to catch you, no matter what!"

"Of cource, I will come along with you. That's what brothers are for." Bairn smiled warmly, knowing Aruna would be ok no matter what, but it didn't hurt to be safe. Listening to her qoute Hania, he nodded slowly. "Father is wise, sister." He chuckled, "I agree with him, hold on to whatever you truely want and don't ever let it go." Looking at the surroundings, he asked. "Have you seen Artemis lately? I miss her."

Laughing at her mate's words, she picked up even more speed. "No! You can't catch me! I'm the queen at running!" Mahiri yelled back at him, daring not to turn around and look at Hania in case it slowed her down. Noticing that the clearing was the clearing, just like Hania did, it made her smile even bigger. Oh how she loved this place so very much. "Catch me, catch me!" She screamed.

Aruna narrowed her eyes at the mention of their sister. "I haven't seen her since we first came out of our baskets. I... really don't know her, and I would love to... but... well, Bairn, why don't you tell me about Artemis? Father and I don't know too much about her. Actually, Father claims that he knows Swafi even better than he does Artemis, and he's sad about that." She frowned, and then her expression softened. "I believe both you and Father are right about... looking for the right one."

Hania chuckled. "Exactly! And I'm the king at running! And you're to be my queen!" He called after her, and picked up speed. "Catch you? Willingly, my love!" He called to her dramatically, and laughed long and loud as he pushed hard, nearly coming astride of her. "I told you I would keep up with you, fox-girl!" He was almost close enough to n** her lightly on her flank. "Or would you... rather I... push you into the water!?" he panted lightly. It was difficult to talk and run, sort of.

"That's a shame. I'm not to familiar with our poor sister either...Lalit tells me that's because his sister Kaliska gave Artemis to another human who doesn't show herself a lot." Bairn sighed, wishing the whole family could be together always. He loved all of them dearly, and didn't want them to be spread apart. "I've met her once, maybe twice since that day. She's shy, quiet, adorably sweet, and wise if I may add. Plus she loves to run." The brown male chuckled, looking at Aruna with sad dark brown eyes. "Maybe Artemis and I will run into eachother and I can get her to see mother and father again." Nuzzling his sister softly, he spoke in a very quiet voice. "That's what we're here for."

Mahiri laughed at his words, "The king, eh? Alright!" She said happily, noticing that Hania had picked up a lot of speed and now was nearly running right next to her. "Hey! You caught up!" The mare giggled, "But not for long, and we can save the water for a later time!" She stopped suddently, hoping her mate wouldn't notice and keep running. Pausing for a moment, she took off in another direction.

Aruna winced at her brother's sad eyes. He shouldn't have those eyes! "Bairn," she said quietly. "Have you met any Wind Soquili?" She decided a change in subject would help. She, herself, felt sadness at not knowing their sister well, but what could they do? Artemis lived with... another human... who they didn't see very often. She would have thought to have seen Artemis more, thinking the girl lived with her brother and mother and Swafi, but it wasn't so. Artemis seemed the most like both their parents, but she was still the opposite. That made Aruna smile inwardly. All of the offspring were completely different from their parents.

Hania couldn't stop fast enough when he noticed that Mahiri had suddenly changed her course of action. "That's not fair, Hiri!" he called jokingly, and managed to make a sharp turn, pausing for a moment to paw the ground in thought, then just as suddenly, he made a dash for a bush of flowers. Red Carnations. He smiled. Hania hoped Mahiri wouldn't figure out what he was up to, but while he let her run, he'd pick a few of these pretty flowers and give them to her.

((XD I'm going to have to do something about those flowers. XD -goes to draw them-))

"Just one." Bairn said simply, glad that his sister had decided to change the subject. Talking about the sister no one in the family ever saw was heartbreaking, especially for the brown male who loved his family more then anything else in the world. Maybe one day while the stallion wandered around, he'd be able to find Artemis. Or maybe Kaliska would bring her over every once in a while. He wanted nothing more then to see her shinning beautiful face again. "He was interesting." A small chuckle escaped the stallion, as he looked at Aruna. After all, Kasida was the one who got Bairn to jump into the water. "Have you?"

"Be a man, silly!" The fox colored mare shouted at her mate, when he said it wasn't fair. It wasn't, that's for sure but Hania could take it! Giggling as she saw him turn in her direction, she switched hers again. Mahiri was so preoccupied with running away from Hania, she didn't notice that he wasn't following her anymore. She just kept right on running and laughing as she did so.

"I've met two," Aruna said, eyes shining. She loved learning about the Wind Soquili. "One I met when I was younger. She was very, very pretty. And the other, I met the other night. I don't sleep often at night, because I like watching the moon and stars and the sun rise. I met him... and... he was so... breathtaking." Aruna could never forget the first impression she'd gotten when she had first met Dread of Night. He had been so beautiful, with the silver moon riding his back, and the wind blowing around them, making him glow with the stars' light. She blushed suddenly as she realized she might have said something out loud. "So, ah... who did you meet?"

A man, huh? Hania mused, laughing silently. Mahiri didn't seem to notice that he'd stopped following her. With the red carnations in his mouth, he quickly trotted to a place where he knew Mahiri would eventually run into him. These flowers were his gift to her, although he might have to get Miakoda to get them cut right so that they'd look pretty in Mahiri's mane and tail. But first, would his mate like them?

Bairn didn't know barely anything about the wind soquli, hardly anything at all. He didn't mind though, regular soquili were just as important in his eyes. "Breathtaking, eh? What is this stallion's name? He seems to have impressed you so much, I may have to meet him." The brown mare chuckled, nudging Aruna playfully. "Does someone have a crush?" He asked, with a very wide grin. It would be wonderful for her, to find someone who cared so much about her, maybe this certain wind soquili did. "I met Kasida. He seems very much like me...he's very interesting to talk too."

As she ran, the view of the lake came into view and she grinned. The water was one of her favorite places to go, but if she was with Hania anywhere was her favorite place. Stopping at the lake to get a small drink, Mahiri looked around curiously. Where had her mate gone? Did he stop just to tease her? "Oh Hania, dear. Where did you go?" The mare shouted playfully.

Aruna blushed harder, and she was having trouble fighting it down. "I... I don't have a crush! And you're correct: he did impress me quite a bit. And of course you must meet him! But it has to be at night. He hates the day." She nudged him back. "Kasida? Ah, he sounds like he's the one to have gotten you to play! That's good. What did you guys talk about?"

Hania smiled inwardly as he placed the flowers against Mahiri's flank. "I'm here, love, with a small little gift." He pulled back enough for her to turn and see the red carnations he was giving her. "For you, mate. I must give something to you so that you don't miss me too much! I worry for you." He did, and he hated it if he worried anyone he cared for.

"Sorry, love. I mustn't assume something like that." Bairn said, in an overly calm voice, he was definatly teasing her this time. "Whatever you say." The stallion whispered quietly, watching as she blushed. He would love for his sister to find the perfect mate and have the happy ending their mother had, it would make him so happy to see her like that. "The night, eh? I don't usually go out in the night, but alas...for this stallion I just may." He chuckled, glancing at Aruna with an odd look. "Yes, he's the one. We talked about the water, pretty much."

"Ooh!" Mahiri giggled, taking the carnations in her mouth. "They're so pretty! Thanks, Hania." The mare told him softly, nuzzling her mate. "I wish I had something to give you...and no need to worry about me, I have Swafi and Bairn." She really did miss him all the time and longed to be by him every second, but that wasn't possible. The last thing she wanted though, was for Hania to get worried.

Aruna fought to hide her blush, but she knew it was useless. Clearing her throat, she nodded, "Yes, um, don't assume anything." Aruna watched her brother out of the corner of her eye, and smiled. "The night, indeed. And yes, you're going to have to... I know how much you love sleeping." She pawed the ground in thought, and then said, "Kasida... I believe I've met him, if briefly. A lively fellow, that one. What's with the weird look, Bairn?" She looked at him, puzzled at the look he was giving her.

Hania smiled, laughing with glee. "You're very welcome, my mate!" He nuzzled her in return. "I still worry over you anyway. You don't have to give anything to me but yourself. And children, but that's up to you." Hania teased, nipping her lightly. If only he could stay with her every day, every night, every morning, every afternoon, every evening, every second of the day! But alas... they lived with humans, so lived apart. He felt sad that their family was split apart, but at least they were able to visit each other.
