'There, that outta do it,' Leo thought. Akela was now dryer than both the adults; it wouldn't take long at all for her slightly damp fur to finish what they had started.
"What have the learned about straying too close to moving water?" The question was both to make sure Akela was alright and that the incident wouldn't repeat itself until she'd learned to swim properly.

Akela glared up at Leo in slight defiance. "Its your fault i feel in"She said. But than she answerd the question that was posed to her. "That moving water is evil and someone needs to find away to get it to stop moving."
Aegle laid down in the sun once her and Leo had made sure that Akela would dry quickly. Laying her head on her paws she watched Akela and Leo talk. Her tail twitched at what Akela said to Leo but figured if Leo wanted to reprimand her he could do it himself. Later she could if need be but she didn't see that as a to big of a problem.

Leo lowered his head so he was eye-level with Akela. "Water isn't evil, it's just water. The very nature of water is movement. It's always moving, even when it looks like it isn't. You can't change the nature of something."
He grinned. "Just like it's in my nature to say, 'Nuh uh, it's your fault you fell in'." The return to childishness felt more natural to him that giving nature lessons. The idea of him as a teacher was laughable.

Akela glared up at him and sort of pouted mumbling under her breath about "Dumb evil water". She than shook off more and bites Leo's foot.

Leo moved his paw up and forward, effectively tumbled and pinning Akela in the same move. He wasn't worried about her biting or kicking, if she could even reach; he'd endured worse.
He looked up at Aegle, face somber but eyes laughing. "Perhaps we should change location? Something not as close to the water, just to be sure she doesn't fall in again."

Akela was wiggling and clawing at Leo trying to get up. She so didn't like being pinned and was mumbling insults about the male under her breath.
Aegle stood up and let out a sigh. "Yes please. I think we have had enough water for one day. Why not show her some of the flowers that are around here?"

"Not a bad idea. That reminds me, I found a patch thick enough that you can't see the ground. It's in a small clearing, but it's still quite lovely."
Leo removed his paw and stood up, shaking out his fur and leading the way to the new attraction.

Aegle gently nudged Akela in front of her. Than followed after Leo making sure to keep Akela in between em.
Akela followed in wonder asking lots of questions "Why are the flowers special? How come there are over in a clearing? What makes em different from the other flowers?"

"They're special cause are so many, in a clearing cause forests ususally don't have large clusters on the ground, different cause of their color and number, whuch makes them look like fire on the ground," Leo replied, still walking.
In an attempt to keep Akela interested, because they had a walk ahead of them, he added, "They're so thick you could hide under them and your mom and I wouldn't be able to see you."

"Really?"Akela asked interested by the idea. "How big are they? Are they big enough to jump on?"
Aegle laughed softly to herself. Leo had no idea what kind of can of worms he just opened up for himself. Akela wasnt ever going to stop asking questions now.

"Well you can jump on them, but I don't think you can walk on top of them. They aren't giant flowers, not even tall enough to brush my belly. They could hide most of you even if you stood up, though the tips of your ears would probably show through."

Akela scrunched up her nose. Her plans to play had just been spoiled. "Well darn" She followed Leo silently trying to think of other things.

((Mini time skip))The walk was a pleasant one, with the sun shining, wind blowing, and birds singing. Leo was a little surprised Akela didn't complain about the walk, not as much as he thought she would.
They broke through the trees and came upon the meadow. Actually, it was big enough to be classified as a field, rolling hills carpeted in gold flowers.
"Well, here it is," Leo said, walking forward a few steps into the flowers before stopping to take in the sight.

Akela gazed in wonder before bounding off into the flowers. She was jumping over the flowers and playing.
Aegle walked up beside Leo and laid her head on his shoulder. "Its a lovely view my dear" She said to him softly.

Leo leaned his head so it was resting on top of Aegle's. "Indeed it is. I've never asked, but I believe we're outside Omaticaya lands. We don't have many meadows in our land, and none so big. I don't think you could call this place forest, it goes on for quite a ways."
He smiled, watching a breeze create a wave in a sea of gold while a white and purple kit appeared and disappeared beneath the surface like a dolphin. "I do love the forests, but I have to say this is quite a nice sight in it's own right."
