Zane remained quiet as she looked down upon herself, trying to hold back an eye roll, scoff, and possibly a glare. "Yes, I want you to stop degrading yourself and pick up some self esteem by tomorrow at seven. That's when you will officially start. As for your wings, I could care less about your feathers. The wings themselves are a rare beauty that only angels can possess."

This had to be a record. He had never complimented anyone this much in a lifetime, nor did he speak so much. This girl, Nell, was definitely something different. She held her tongue though, wanting to say more, but probably found it a bad idea to insult him. Especially when he was paying her.

"I have self esteem. I love my wings. That's self esteem. Now, faith in your human race, that's a little harder to pick up."
He did surprise her, once again, however. He called her an angel, and yet no one had ever told him her race. Neither did her tag on the cage she was held in say her race. No one had been able to get her to tell what she was, so they'd always called her the raven or something of the like.
It's almost dark.. she noticed, looking out the window Zane faced. She wanted to get a fly in before she sought out her room.
"If that is all then I'll just go, then." There wasn't much else she saw for herself to do, but she stayed right where she was standing, waiting for him to give her the go or more orders.

Zane raised an eyebrow. She was starting to get frustrated, and was wanting to leave. "Do you even know your room number? Or how to get in the building? Not to mention, you don't even know how to get out of this mansion."

He grinned politely at her, pointing out flaws in her plans, though he didn't believe her self esteem was that high if she actually let previous masters do what they did, or even want to think of using her own head once in awhile. Maybe he should leave her for a bit to learn how to depend on herself. But, that would be a little harsh. Amusing, yes, but a little harsh for someone who was just released.

Romona grinned mischievously, her eyes glinting with excitement. "I learned a few boxing moves to use on past owners, so your championship title may be mine soon! And believe me, I am awesome at Mario-Kart! We're gonna have fun the next few days!" Mona's grin darkened lightly as she saw the twitch, meaning she struck a nerve with his style. What a wonderful day she would have, throwing clothes at him all day, then coming home to challenge him in his strong suits. For sure she was going to play his games, especially when she didn't want to visit his sister and his sister's slave. But, Romona couldn't plan to far ahead, as she didn't know how long this would last.

He's trying to rustle my feathers, isn't he? she thought to herself, trying to reign in her emotions. She looked at him with a straight face, trying to see what was behind his crimson eyes. It would take a while to learn how to read this one, but not too long, she hoped.
"You did tell me earlier to learn this mansion and fast. I figured now was my time. And then usually, when new people come around they leave the door slightly jarred. Plus if you already have so many attendants here, they'd fill all the doors leading up to the exit. So mine would be somewhere in the back. The building is probably unlocked since I've seen a number of people stop walking around, but not all of them, so its most likely unlocked." A nonchallenced shrug bobbed her shoulders. He tried to baffle her, but using simple known facts from her other areas of living she just went off that knowledge. Of course, if any of that was wrong she would submit, and since he was a bit different then others she didn't doubt she had something wrong.
"So how much did I get wrong?" She asked curiously, without a hint of sarcasm.

Actually feeling a bit scared at how she played video games, Terrance still lead her up stairs to his rec room, as to where his sisters was down stairs in her basement.
"Alright, well I'm assuming you know how to work a wii. I'll clean up the room while you insert what you want to play." he said. "But go a lil' easy on your ol' pal here. He doesn't play that much and doesn't have the energy you do." Chuckling at what he'd just said, he went around and picked up all the toys, remotes, joysticks, pillows, and blankets all over the floor. He'd hosted a sleep over for a bunch of his little cousins and they absolutely trashed the place. They didn't get food anywhere, which he was thankful for, but they did move the couch, footstool, two rollie chairs, and couple tables to make the room bigger. Now, if he was't about to play wii with Romona, that'd be a little harder on him, but they just made his job a little easier. Whew.

Another eyebrow was raised to this, trying to keep himself from laughing. His teeth bit his pale lower lip as his head turned, more strands covering his face now. "Quite a bit my dear Sophia. The building where you will reside is locked at all times, and you need a key to enter, leave, and unlock anything, including your room. The doors are never kept open as it seems like an invitation to anyone, not to mention it looks messy. As for learning this place, how would you learn when the attendants won't tell you which library it is, which music room you've entered, what colour bathroom you've stumbled upon, as well as restricted areas."

His smirk had dwindled to a fake kind smile with his crimson eyes closed lightly, giving a polite demeanor to her assumptions. He wondered if Nell would be this outspoken all the time, and if she would learn to live without him every day. After all, he couldn't supervise her 24/7, she'd have to know what to do on what day by instinct. Whether she liked it or not, Zane didn't care if she was scared of being independent.

Romona nodded, grinning at the systems in the room. But she raised an eyebrow at Terrance's comment on cleaning. "I thought you didn't like cleaning?" Holding back a grin, the blonde bounced over to the games, looking through which ones she wanted to play, and didn't want to. Eliminating half the stack, Mona finally settled on Mario Kart, wanting to see who had the more skills.

Nell kept in a huff and kept her mouth shut as he used her first name. Her cheeks grew pink as she crossed her arms over her chest. Why did he have to do everything so different then anyone else? She wanted to be right at least once. Geez. Even with her past masters she had a better chance of getting something right. This guy? Nope. Nadda. Seemed like she could neither do something right or say something correct. Wonderful. What was worst was she saw a glitter in his eye when he tried not to laugh. He didn't outwardly laugh at her, which was a huge step up, but she found it kinda... well, she didn't know, when he bit his lip. He looked less stern, a bit more open. Interesting. That was the word she would use. She found it interesting. Zane gave off the impression that he was a ram-rod-straight-backed business person who wasn't to be messed with at any costs.

"Everythings so difficult around here." she said with a huff. Sounding childish didn't normally bother her, but for the sake of really not wanting to be laughed at, she regretted she said anything. With her cheeks growing more rosy by the minute Nell turned and looked out the enterence she was originally thought of going out of. Looking back at her owner, only through a curtain of hair, she asked. "Well do you want to take a walk then? It's getting dark..." She needed an escape. A soar would clear her head completely, enough to the point where she'd actually get sleep at night. Afraid that if she didn't take a fly she wouldn't be able to meet slumber at pillows gate, she really itched to go

Terrance arranged the room by the time Rona had stopped talking. Standing straight, he looked at her examine through his games as if she were a small child at ToysRUs. "Eh. I do. But I don't consider that cleaning. Dusting, polishing, vaccuuming, etc. That is what I hate. Cleaning up after cousins doesn't bother me unless they're still here. Then they can do it themselves." He grimaced when he remembered the time his aunt was over and made him clean up the room, rather then her children Who Made The Mess! Oooh, that irritated him. Has his aunt been back since? Nope. And that's the way he liked it.

"Ugh. Rona. You're really testing my abilities here. But okay. I have two wheels for us... somewhere around- Ah! Here they are. Okay. Expect to be amazed at how I suck!" he said with a heavily sarcastic enthusiasm. Terrance plopped down on the cream coloured couch as he arranged the over sized footstool to be in between he and Romona so they could both use it.
He loved his couch.

Zane rolled his eyes as he stood. His 6'1" frame towered over the girl, so he was able to get a small glimpse of her rosy cheeks turning into a dark, cherry like colour in a matter of seconds. "Unlike your previous masters, I'm refined and sophisticated, of course it's difficult."

He rested a hand between Nell's wings on her back, giving a light shove. Zane supposed he could give the angel a tour before he left her to fly for a few minutes-supervised of course- in the rose maze before letting her rest for the next morning. Hopefully, Nell remembered to get up for work at seven.

Holding back a laugh at Terrance's acts, Romona plopped down beside him, leaning back into the couch. "Expect to be amazed at how much I rock!" Her enthusiasm wasn't sarcastic, but arrogant. A child one minute, and a pompous queen the next. For a second, Mona forgot she was a slave who had been bought earlier that day, the freedom seeming like it was forever ago since she was selected. Pushing the wii-mote into the wheel, her persona was giddy, ready for the first race. If Terrance was able to drive his truck, how come he couldn't drive a kart?

After his few sentences, Nell really had to look at Zane for a few seconds before errupting into a series of giggles. He had really dry humour, and didn't even realize he said a funny! Or maybe he did, and just knew how to keep a straight face. That was something Nell had yet to learn.
"Hey!" She jolted away from his touch on her back. Having a hard time keeping her wings under control at that one moment, but she reigned them in. He was lucky he wasn't shoved back. Her wings were so stiff, though. That's what really saved him. They cramped up from her jumping. The flush on her face just grew more at the embarrassment of basically insulting him. He wasn't revolting or anything, he just seriously suprised her. And then, that was a sensitive place to touch as well. Her wings were rooted where his hand had been placed and that was the one place previous masters never laid fingers on. Moving her arms to clasp behind her back, over her wings, she looked down towards the floor. "I'm sorry..." she said slightly, keeping her eyes averted.

"Oh boy... oh boy, oh boy, oh boy..." he said, nervous and anxious to start the race. He chose Peach on the motorcycle looking thing, not without noticing some resemblances between Romona and Peach. Blonde hair, was wearing pink when he got her, fragile appearance. Maybe I should by her a motorcycle he thought, internally chuckling.
"Lets get this big boi started!" he said, just as the screen counted down from 3...2...1... How did you make the kart go?! Terrance was frantic for a couple seconds until he figured it out. Okay, hold down 2 he thought as he turned into a wall. "Oops," he said sheepishly

Now she was acting weird. The girl was giggling for one moment, before quipping at him for his hand placement, which was still near the beginning of her wings, and now was ashamed. "You wouldn't happen to be bi-polar would you?" That would explain much. Either way, the man brushed her behaviour and apology off, waiting for her outside the door. Was she coming for the tour or not?

"Stop apologizing for every little thing. It's annoying. Hurry up." Maybe he was the bipolar one? It didn't matter. She was wasting time and he wanted a bath sooner than later.
