"Rodeos. That does not surprise me -- even now, you look all slicked up like some cowboy casanova. Although I guess you're sporting a more of a city cowboy, aren't you?" Liam reached forward to take hold of the unzippered end of the jacket, feeling it with interest. "Looks good on you," he added, giving him a smile, and a second later he dropped his hand, letting it rest on the wet table. The hand brushing his arm didn't go unnoticed, his skin prickling a little, unused to the warmth -- the drizzle had been fairly chilling, and he hadn't been wearing a jacket, adapting to it after a time. The heat from the hand was welcome, and he unconsciously shivered, suddenly very aware of how wet he was.

"Probably should... then we ought to change clothes," he added, looking like he didn't exactly want to move just yet. Instead, he peeled his wet ponytail of the back of his neck, flipping it off his skin, sending wet droplets flying. They could change after they got supplies -- no sense in drying off now, not when they were going out in the rain again. Liam let out a disgruntled sigh, finally standing up and pushing the chair out with his legs, walking around the small table to clap Ridley on the shoulder, squeezing his arm with a grin. "Faster we get these chores done, the better, right?"

Great. Rain. Penelope hated the rain. Unfortunately for her, today was the day to get pokemon from the Pokemon Express. They were leaving for Motterossa soon, and if she didn't get there, she wouldn't get a ride.

The trainer entered the reception area for the Pokemon Express. Her lilac-colored hair was dark with rain water and clung to her head, face, and back. She was soaked. Around her shoulders there was an equally soaked Linoon who looked none too pleased. His fur was matted and he resembled a drowned rattata. She approached Bill.

The jolly rancher handed her a form, which she signed and handed back, along with the rental fee for an Onix. She was to go pick out which Onix was to be her mount from the stables. But first, she'd dry off some.

She noticed there were a few trainers hanging around in the same area as she was. She flashed a friendly smile and waved at the group. What better way to pass the time than to chat up some people?

User ImagePrecariously balanced on the ponyta, Lumina had managed to spot the pokecenter before it occured to her that she had no idea if the mare-like creature was allowed inside. Flushing, she slid off and rubbed its nose, leading it back to the rental area. The least she could do would be to ask before she made a fool of herself.

Catching another's wave, Lumina gave a smile back and nearly skipped up to her, "Ah, hello~ Red group, huh? I'm Lumina." Well, might as well do some introductions before begging for answers to questions others might not know.

Ridley laughed at the notion of him being a cowboy, after being born and raised in Saffron City, though he welcomed Liam grabbing his jacket, grinning at the compliment. "Thanks. I'm hardly a cowboy, though," he smirked, amused. Nor did Liam's shiver at his touch go unnoticed.

"Sounds like a good idea to me. You're soaked," Ridley gave him another look over at that remark, watching him flick his hair and keeping his mind firmly on task, nodding. He watched Liam get up and grinned as he clapped his shoulder, the muscle tensing unconsciously, getting up as well and tucking his chair back under the table, pulling his cap back on as he stood into the rain.

"Definitely. There should be a Pokemart right around here," he agreed, peering down the street in search of the familiar blue roof.

Luna tried to remember if she had kidnapped the trainer or not, but she had dragged far too many people to her gym to remember any specifics about them. Only the ones that persisted after her - like Rene - were easily recalled.

"Well, you are going out in the wilderness...and it can get a bit hot out in the sun in the afternoon, especially since you might have to cross around the mountains where there isn't that much shade. And better to be safe than to be like a cooked corphish, right?"

The gym leader grabbed herself a tube of suntan lotion and handed it to ChuChu to hold. ChuChu sniffed at the tube, as curious as ever. The raichu scrunched up her nose in disgust. "Although I wish this stuff smelled a bit better..."

"Yeah! Red group! I'm Penelope." She smiled at Luminia. "And this is Stitch." She motioned towards the wet weasel draped over her like an expensive scarf.
Stitch stretched his head out towards the new person to sniff and investigate. "Noon?"
"Have you met any of the other red group?"

"And the price seems based on size rather than strength. SPF-Keep-Kary-Pale it is~!" She beamed, standing up with her initial grab in her hand. Giggling as ChuChu grimaced, Kary added, "Hopefully the worse it smells, the better it works?"

The trainer reached into one of the large pockets on her belt and pulled out a little money to pay for the sun block. "I'm gonna go pay for this and head down to the ranch before all the Pokemon are taken. Unless you'd like to follow me there, see you in Motterossa?"

"Speak for yourself, your jeans are so tight I thought you were going for an emo look there for a minute," he teased back, withdrawing his hand as the other flexed, noting that he'd been working out. The ebony-haired boy had always been the strong type, his frame suiting the rippling muscles in a way that probably made all the girls swoon -- the fact that he seemed dark and mysterious, especially with that cap turned down, only added to the effect. And while Liam was no sticky twig, even just standing next to him the difference was obvious. He had no doubt Ridley could pound him into the ground, if he wanted.

The fact that he pushed in his chair like a polite gentleman, however, did not help his case. "You are so nice." The way the words rolled off his tongue, it didn't sound like he was saying it as if it were a good thing, another teasing laugh lacing his voice.

Liam slid his hands into the back pockets of his jeans, watching Ridley slide the chair back under the table, elbowing him before starting off down the street, letting the rocket fall into step with him before proceeding with any sort of speed. On the uncrowded pavement, they could easily walk side-by-side, and he felt their shoulders brush a little as they moved, leaving room for people going the other way.

"What'd you decide to bring with you?" He asked politely, seeming only vaguly interested in the task at hand, tilting his head back to stare up at the grey sky.

So this was the place, huh? Well it wasn't too bad... The mountians were beautiful to gaze at from within the confinements of the shelter, expecially with the addition of the rain element gently creating an outline around the peaks.

Sitting alone, the man had a calm and emotionless look on his face. Second time on a big adventure, he didn't intend to change his methods of travel. What was the point? After all, that was how he'd found Jon'Cloude. Glancing down at his hip, he eyed the Poke Ball, the slightest hint ofa grin on his lips. Him and that Absol had become quite close. He'd make a great addition once the breeder finally gained land of his own. Gold eyes blinking lethargically, resting half-way, he let his torso lean over so as to rest his elbows on his knees. As much as he loved the rain, he couldn't stand being indoors for so long... expecially with so many people around. He was itching to get out and about, to check out the unknown.

Pleased to meet you, Stitch." She almost snickered at its rather wet status, but managed to hold it in to save its feelings.

"So what brings you to the great eevee gathering?" She had obviously forgotten why she stopped by in the first place.

"No, I have to take care of some other business but I'll see you around!"

"Chu!"

Luna and ChuChu waved at Kary as they separated into different check out lines. The gym leader quickly paid for her items and glanced over to make sure Kayla and Snookie were okay. Luna was satisfied that everything was in order and went off again into the streets to finish supply-gathering.

"Well, Eevee are adorable and hard to find. Who wouldn't want to get in on that swarm?" She grinned. "Plus, I've been working too hard at the gym and Motterossa seems like a good place for a break!"
Stitch yawned and laid his head back down. No food, nothing to steal (that he knew of), so this person was boring.
"What brings you here?" She moved a wet piece of hair from off of her forehead. Ugh... She was going to need like... twenty towels.

User Image"True enough." Lumina chuckled, then paused with mild surprise, "Ooh, you work at a gym? What sort of things do you do there?"

Giving an airy wave of her hand, Lumina gave a shrug, "Same thing as any, to see the eevees in action. I'd actually like to catch one. I recently set out as a watcher, but there are some aggressive creatures out there so I wouldn't mind a companion to keep me company. And goodness knows it can be an awfully quiet roap in between destinations." Another pause, then, "Well, not that quiet roads are bad. You can watch all sorts of things. But, you know.." A repeated shrug took place of her lack of words.

"Certainly should be fun though. I'm deathly curious as to why these creatures are suddenly doing a mass migration."

Watching all the going-on's with those who braved the sprinkle, the breeder's gave a silent sigh. Well... it would surely smell calming, the rainfall cooling the warm earth. And the humidity would cling to his skin. A curve slid at the corner of his lips. Seeing the high ranking trainer walking by, he didn't give much care or lingering with his eyes, eventually easing up to his feet. Stretching his arms over his head, a few bones cracked, in his shoulder sockets and along his spine. Cloude would enjoy the rain too... Metal boots clinking as he stepped, he shoved his hands into his pockets and strolled towards the door, golden eyes looking to the ground.
He'd need just a few supplies, as he was only caring for two, and he didn't need much to get by. But he didn't know these lands, which could easily spell trouble. Not to mention the plethera of trainers around; which he wouldn't trust for a second.
The door sliding open as he clunked over the way, he lifted his gaze to look around, eventually resting to the sky's. Gold slits for eyes gazed at the never ending sea, entranced by the mist of a drizzle that fell. The water and grass Pokemon would surely appreciate this.

"I'm a gym assistant! Challengers who want to fight Luna have to get past me first!" Penelope put her hands on her hips. She was proud of her position and seemed eager to brag.

The posing session didn't last long. She nodded politely as Lumina talked about her reasons for being there. When she posed the inquiry about the sudden Eevee wave, Penelope shrugged.
"No idea. But lets count ourselves lucky they're swarming, no matter the reason!"

A tail suddenly whacked Penelope in her face. Stitch gave his trainer a look and then seemed to motion to the door.
"Uh... Stitch is right... we gotta go pick out our pokemon and then go get some supplies. See you on the trail!" She ran off.

[[ Oh gosh, I fell asleep and missed so much RP. ; n ; *flails* ]]

"Pi-geeeeeeooooot!"
"Late, late, late, late, LATE!"

Avella flapped her wings as hard as she could, pushing and accelerating herself in the air towards her destination: Katarina. Meeka's made sure to hang on tight. When this Pidgeot was late for something - it sure gave its one-hundred percent on being there ON TIME.

"Oi, Avella . . . Hang on a bit- oof! If you don't slow down, I'm going to- OH CRAP!"

The farmer girl went tumbling and the Pidgeot's sharp talons were not quick enough to catch the poor thing as she tumbled in wide arcing somersaults.

"Geot . . . "

"Waaaaaaah!" she screamed, loosing grip of her side bag through the entire event.

The contents of his bag shifted as it met the floor first, spilling out her Pokeballs and Pokemon for the event. Sensing something was amiss, Verkratching the Tentacruel emerged from his Pokeball in the nick of time and caught the poor girl as she huffed and puffed.

"T-Thanks Krac . . . " she sputtered out while patting his head.

One thousand arms were surely useful and not just for multi-tasking. Aha. Withdrawing the large jellyfish Pokemon, Meeka gathered her things and beckoned her Pidgeot out down. As it landed, she smothered her hand against its wing and starred at the large cullination of people.

"Sure's a lot of people again this time." she commented to no one in particular. "C'mon Avella, let's see if we can go find some peeps we might know."

Nearing the area, Meeka scanned her brown gaze over the rise and crash of trainers until she narrowed her eyes on Bill. He was such a jerkwad . . . and a bragger with all the Pokemon he owned. He should go . . . tumble off a Pidgeot or something . . . seriously! Hmmph!
