sewing-life alchemist *raises hand* I've got a question for Vintrict. Within the terms of our OOC agreement that i wouldn't use my ability on stuff my enemy was wearing or holding, can I use my guy's ability on a thrown weapon? Is he wearing or holding it? cool

I have a couple of questions.
1) By saturday, if our opponent is a no show, do we get a new opponent from the backup list or do we automatically go through?
2) From saturday how long do we have to fight if we do get a new opponent? Because it seems a little unfair if you get a shortened fight time because your opponent couldn't show up.

A thrown weapon is fine, provided they don't any other metaphysical control over said weapon.

Because it seems a little unfair if you get a shortened fight time because your opponent couldn't show up. 1) The first five non-active fights get the waiting list. And after that, each fight with a waiting list person gets an extended five days.

Alright.
I'm asking for a judge-call in my fight, James versus Cyrus.
I'm not sure what exactly I'm asking you guys to look over and make a judgement on, probably everything, but should you guys decide to cockslap Acropilis repeatedly to death for being so ******** retarded, then that might just be dandy.

We'll look over his profile to make sure he's not violating it. But if he's not, our hands are pretty much tied. Fight to the end, and his skill or lack thereof will manifest in our grading of the fight.
Much as I'd like to do more, that's as good as you're going to get.

I'm going to look at the last post in the fight myself just so that I can see where things are going, and if there's really no way for him to continue the fight without a ruling.

Someone tell my opponent to post more than once a day. This is pissing me off.

Quote: Namely, her raw strength. Truth be told, when the ninja entered the tournament she had been right on the cusp of going over the strength limit. Things like hurling large chunks of the stadium were in the realm of possibility. Basically...when she kneed someone, it was like getting hit by a car. Metal and all. Hoshiko, like many other from her clan had a special technique. The clan Ishimaru kekkai genkai. By channeling one's chakra into their skin, they are capable of triggering a unique cell reformation. While maintaining the same texture and appearance as regular skin, the cell walls harden an incredible amount, while at the same time increasing the strength of their bonds with nearby cells. Basically, creating skin that is like metal. Colossus? http://marvel.wikia.com/Piotr_Rasputin_(Earth-616) Quote: Organic Steel Transformation: Colossus is a mutant with the superhuman ability to convert the tissue of his entire body into an organic steel-like substance... Superhuman Strength: After transforming into his armored state, Colossus possesses vast superhuman strength. As a teenager, he was sufficiently strong enough to lift about 70 tons. However, as a fully mature adult, his strength has increased to the point that he is able to lift more than 75 tons but no more than 100 tons. Quote: Max Speed and Max Lifting Weights This came up several times when I was judging profiles, with people have super strength and being able to run really fast. To avoid what happened in the last GTB from ever happening again, speed and strength restrictions are placed so that everything can be kept to a level that acts as an average for each fighter. The max speed is 50 mph, and the max lifting weight is 1200 lbs. For reference I pulled up the stats on the Astrodome. http://www.columbia.edu/cu/gsapp/BT/DOMES/HOUSTON/h-unusua.html Quote: the new domed stadium in Houston, Texas, offers a playing field and seating area that is completely covered over. The dome has an outside diameter of 712 ft. with an overall height of 208 ft. Lamella trusses 5 ft. deep frame the roof, and there is a total of 2,150 tons of steel in the 350,000 sq. ft. of roof frame, plus a 376-ton tension ring. The stadium will be completely air-conditioned utilizing equipment with 6,000-ton cooling capacity to circulate 2,000,000 cu. ft. of air every minute. Now I'm not claiming anyone is breaking rules, I'm just asking for someone to take a closer look, and help me understand what's going on, for I seem confused.

I am concerned about fights going far too slow because people are posting too slow. Although one post a day can still get somewhere, round 1 appears to only be 10 days rather than 2 weeks.
I'll have to see how the fights shape out once a whole week has elapsed.

I'm not really sure what you're getting at, Noire. Colossus may be able to lift that much because he has metal skin, but just because Hoshiko can turn limited parts of her body to metal doesn't mean her enhanced strength is the same as Colossus. That'd be like saying any character who uses ki is automatically a DBZ fighter. Even though that's a bit more general. If anything, Hoshiko's strength would be stopped at the strength cap, though all in all it's really just contextual. It depends on what kind of "chunk" of the stadium she's throwing, and I already explained that just because your hits feel like getting hit by a proverbial truck doesn't mean you'll end up a paraplegic by taking a hit.

I probably got her dramatics confused with statistics. Thanks.

Could I have a judge take a look at my fight? Pretty much this is in regards to my opponent's reaction to my last attack. When I contacted him instead of wanting to work it out he just said go get a ruling on it. -_- Pretty much he asked if divine intervention was allowed to help him avoid the attack earlier, and when told no, he decided to simply go for the whole "dumb luck" angle. Anyway, so my character throws an energy blade at his thighs as he begins to dash at her. His argument is that the way he is running puts the center of gravity so low that his wrist guard deflected the entire energy blade. Quite frankly, I don't know what the ******** he actually did. He did provide me of a video to represent how his character was running, but in the video the arms are flapping like tassels in the wind and I don't really see how the position would give him some kind of favorable advantage against being cut. If anything, I'd imagine squatting or something would just be suicide. So yeah, I'm wondering if he's trying to duck walk at 20 mph or if he's on a slip and slide, dragging his face on the ground, or whatever and how exactly is this helping him at all. Just for clarification, he already established that his ki field can not deflect other energy attacks and provides minimal, 1%, damage reduction.

What do you define as a large section, because I think that's where we're having problems.
