Everyone says that these days, but there are enough pretty-boy godlings running about the place. Zeus, Poseidon and Hades are supposed to look mighty and patriarchal. So I suppose that new avatar is fanservice. xd

Is Hades supposed to really be patriarchal? Wouldn't, oh . . . I don't know, 'effete' be a better term. heart

Effete? He grew up in his father's stomach until he was vomited out with his siblings, waged a ten year war against the erstwhile rulers of the universe while he was still a teenager, became the ruler of the underworld and then kidnapped his neice to marry. 'Effete' is somehow not what I imagine.

I assure you (and you too Hades), I was only referring to his a) lack of children and b) how he is almost always depicted as a Gothic pansy by the general populace.

Thanks for helping to clear it up.
Is it just me, or could i have sworn that the music to Selene was meant to be from the middle ages, somewhere?

It's the ancient Orphic hymn to Selene, sung to the tune of classical Greek instruments reconstructed by an ancient historian. The Kithara, signature instrument of Apollon, is the ancestor to the Guitar.

No wonder about the music.
The music made me on the verge of swearing of hearing something familiar from celtic music[i'm glad i stopped myself, though!]
So Apollo's signature instrument is the ancestor to the Guitars we know today?
Interesting.

Selene is an interesting Goddess, isn't she?

If by interesting you mean she fell in love with a shepherd boy, had him put into an eternal slumber so she could be with him, and then mothered 20 daughters on him despite his condition - then yes, she is an interesting goddess. xd

. . . 20 children? eek Boy, nocturnal goddesses sure do know how to have a good time. cheese_whine

How do they pull it off, guys and ghouls?
That's one of the reasons why i find Selene interesting, but i know there's more to it than just that, for me.
How did she jump the bones of Endymion, again?

Akherontis
Speaking of those days, I just did an avatar of Hades when he was younger, during the Titanomakhia. Compare with his older one. XP

There's the King of the Seas, right there!
He was also a Badass who knew where to concentrate his anger on, when he has to fight[with the exception of during the Odyssey, but even so...] I wonder if Poseidon got to do a personal significant thing during the Titan War, itself?[Zeus was working against the Titan King's strategies, Hades took the Titan Armies by surprise behind enemy lines, i'd like to know what Poseidon managed to pull off!]

You also deserve a hug, as well, Your majesty.
So is there interesting news going on, at your end?
Would you also ride a Black Horse?

OH MY GODS! He's so adorable, and yet slightly gothic! Oh, I want to hug him up.
But Eros is cuter.

Hey, do you have some of like Demeter or Hestia, per say?

I too would like to see some images for Demeter and Hestia, as well. ^_^

Then i'd like to see if there's images for Hera, afterwards.

Anyone want to give his Majesty of the Underworld Bear Hugs, Raise your hands!!!!
