Zeren was getting worried, the eggs were hatching and Impressing, meaning even fewer Dragons to pick Theirs, and if the Bronze and Gold went between what then? it would be a tragedy on this Hatching, which was bad luck, he hated when a prefectly healthy creature died for seemignly no reason.

Then another egg cracked, spilling out a Blue, he was taking his time to find His, but it was better than not searching at all, again hope rose in his chest as the little blue went this way and that, *maybe he's making sure, maybe he's checking us over to make sure His i worthy?* he prayed this was the case, he didnt want any Dragon to go Between.

Sevya watched as dragons found partners with surprising speed. Shards, it'd be over in an hour, she just knew it. Thankfully, they were not having trouble finding riders; it'd be rather inauspicious should any of them have to go between.

Well, the bronze and gold seemed to be taking their sweet time about it, which was somewhat alarming. Particularly the gold - what was she doing? Then again, there were lots of candidates to choose from. Thankfully, not her. It'd be all sorts of wrong should the gold look her way!

She nearly missed the blue pushing free from his egg. If not for the mutters and gestures of the candidates near her, Sevya would totally have missed him, so intent was she on the metallic hatchlings.

Finally, it seemed as though the lone blue found a direction to settle on, if not a lifemate quite yet. He headed off towards the boys, crooning and nosing at a few. He even stopped to stare long and hard into one boy’s eyes but to no avail. He was not His. Crooning again, he pushed his way through the line into the center of the cluster of boys and closed his eyes.

Eirlyn held her breath as the blue stopped and lay, head on the sands. It was all the hallmarks of a dragonet who failed to Impress and yet… he didn’t go Between. When he rolled onto his back and opened on eyes, the Weyrwoman sigh in relief Alurel, Your Pumuth does not like thinking games when he is hungry. Come feed me? His gaze had settled on the boy and the slight pout on the Hatchling’s face was hard to deny.

Another Impression, and not to her. Shards. Was here lifemate here?... She knew a lot of people stood several times before finding Theirs, and that more still never Impressed at all. Knowing this didn't make it any easier to stand on the burning sands and watch other people find the other half of themselves. Where was Hers?

As longing thrummed deep within the pit of her stomach, Kleos turned her eyes onto the remaining eggs. Let one of them be for her, please. Knowing that she could survive not being chosen was looking less and less reassuring as time went on.

Zeren was sure the boy next to him had Impressed when the blue had stared at him, holding his breath as it seemed the blue scrutinised the other lad, he blew it all out as the dragonet moved away and lay on the sands *oh please no* he payed, which, seemed to be answered as the youngling didnt go between and he siged as yet someone else Impressed instead of him, though secretly he wished the boy luck.

Mercy watched the blue as it wandered to and fro - even looked earnestly at several people before laying down. She was vaguely worried that the poor beast had given up his search but it seemed like she was mistaken cause a moment later it seemed like it had impressed. The gold and bronze though still wandered about

Once the spat between those two Blues was over and they'd Impressed, Alirien set himself back a bit to idly watch the new Queen as she seemed to be just taking her time of surveying the choices. He spares a look towards the Bronze before turning away to watch the Blue who hatched behind him. Metallics were not his color, he knew that much.

The Blue seemed every bit as casual as his partners out on the Sands though about picking. Stepping out of his way to not be stepped on or bumped into, Alirien watches the dragonet as he lay down, and then as he rolled over and apparently Impressed. Huh, that was interesting. Did he know the other boy? Probably not, but no matter. The blue certainly seems nice and mellow, that's for sure so His shouldn't be too bad of a guy, right?

Meanwhile, the popular New Day egg finally began to wiggle, with the hatchling’s wings and back breaking through first, forcing her to back out of the shell. With part of it still stuck to a forelimb, the pretty green called a friendly greeting to everyone as she stepped, stumbled, and rolled, covering herself in goeey sand. Sneezing hugely, the green chirped in something akin to an embarrassed laugh before continuing on, sand and all. Hers was here somewhere!

While the little green searched, the gold and bronze were clustered around the Royal Bands egg as if waiting. It wasn’t long before the gold’s impatience won out again and she rolled the egg, trying to get it to stir. Feynath rumbled at her daughter, flashing teeth and mantling wings as the little gold dared the wrath of her mother for the second time during the Hatching. Curiously, however, neither the gold nor the bronze cared about the Event Horizon egg… perhaps it was a dud.

Zeren stifled a small laugh as the newly hatched Green sneezed goo all over, he was touched by the samll greeting she'd given everyone though, when she'd hatched *what a sweet thing* he thought, wondering who she'd pick as Hers. Meanwhile he noticed that the Gold and the Bronze waited about one egg, while ignoring the other. He wondered whether the ignored one would hatch.

It was really hard not to find the antics of the newly hatched green completely adorable and Mercy smiled despite the growing worry over not being chosen. The gold and bronze seemed to be interested in one of the other eggs and she was somewhat interested to see why. Hopefully they were waiting for a friend and not to start another fight. In the meantime she watched the little green as she worked her way through the candidates.

The heat of the sands was getting to Sharajan, particularly his feet. The trader boy hopped from one foot to another as he watched the ongoing shenanigans out on the sands. What was with that gold, anyway? Surely one of the girls here were acceptable; instead, she was gallivanting around trying to play pushball with one of her siblings still in the egg!

Fa was right. Girls could be incredibly silly at times. Although the bronze wasn't going about the business of Impression much better either...

He shook his head and turned to watch the newly hatched green. Okay, *most* girls could be silly. At least she was focusing on the task at hand not trying to play around.

With the rumbling and less then subtle order given by the Senior Queen, both the bronze and the gold seemed reluctant to leave their sibling’s side. Eventually, though, the queen huffed and kicked sand on the egg in a show of frustration but all it did was cover the new dragon’s recently revealed head in sand. A brown, it seemed, had pushed through at last and sneezed at the assault of the young queen. Rumbling with a sound akin to ‘why’dyoudothat?’, he shrugged out of the shell. He was large for his size and a rich hue of brown.

The new queen rumbled at him with exasperation and turned away, her gaze finally sweeping across the female candidates. She’d sensed Hers already and it was just a matter of finding the woman… once everything was perfect, that is!

The bronze, however, trundled over to the boys now that his siblings had revealed himself. Discerning and intelligent, he wandered through the ranks, neither acknowledging nor encouraging any touch a brave soul might venture. This was a bronze on a mission!

Wykla watches the blue roll over in the sands. Her breath catches in her throat as she thinks he's about to vanish between, but when he doesn't and instead Impresses she exhales in relief. They were doing so good so far with none of the dragonets going between. Personally she thought that blue's markings were just gorgeous. She hoped his rider thought so too.

Her attention gets snapped back to the eggs as another green makes her comedian entrance. A smile plays across her lips. That one looked like she was full of mischief and fun. Watching as the little green looks for Hers, Wykla winces as the gold dragonet rouses the ire of her Mother Queen. Oh dear, that one certainly had a mind of her own. And that bronze too. Why didn't they Impress?

Her brows wrinkle as the two metallic dragons nudge Event Horizon. What did they want from it? It would hatch wouldn't it?

Oh, that explained it! The bronze and the gold were waiting for their friend the brown! Soldekai couldn't quite stop the grin from forming on his face - it was pretty cute to watch these two very serious-looking metallics clustered around an egg waiting for their buddy to hatch. And the brown's expression when he got accidentally covered in sand! Ha!

The New Day egg turned out another green. Seemed like there were quite a few sweet, laid-back greens this time around, with only those two grumpy blues causing a serious ruckus so far. And he couldn't refrain from chuckling slightly as that one blue flopped down in the sand and (presumably) made His come over and get him.

Soldekai prepared to get out of the way in a hurry as the bronze came their direction. He didn't seem aggressive at all... but he was definitely determined to find something, and bronzes were big. You didn't want to get on the wrong side of those claws, even by accident.

Zeren could almost kiss the huge Golden Queen when she called the Bronze and the Gold hatchlings to order, he noticed that the egg they'd been paying attention ahd hatched, a ver handsome Brown too, he smiled relieved. Suddenly the Gold headed for the girls, he hoped that it meant Hers was there, he only just noticed the Bronze, he knew that it wouldn't pick him, but something akin to hope rose as the Dragonet seemed to have great intent.
