He exhaled loudly. He figured if he was going to break one personal code, he might as well break another of being silent. He put took his paws and put them on each side of the visor quickly removing that bit. He then took a hold of the mask that was concealed by his black collar and peeled it off. That was unpleasant..I need to wash this thing he thought as he tried to fix his scraggly blonde hair. He was fortunate enough to still have the dark of night be fairly concealing, so his horrid scars where shadowed.
He took no further orders and reached for the stick. He opened his mouth, full of sharp fox teeth, and barely even let the meat touch his tongue. In half a second he had chewed and swallowed the fillet..but was still unsatisfied, and it showed on his half opened eyes

Looking down at the movement as well as the rather loud sigh, her brow raised as he removed his visor and face mask. Gasping loudly herself, she seemed to be stunned as she tilted her head; pondering before she spoke up after the fish had been devoured.
"You're blonde!" She exclaimed, before a smile broke on her face. "I would have thought you had black hair....you know, with the ninja thing." she joked, somewhat, (since she thought it would have been fitting at least) before looking back to the fire; not phased by his scars in the slightest.

He nearly had a heart attack when she gasped. He had to look a round really quick to see if something was sneaking up on him, but was thankful nothing was.
He turned back and and raised an eyebrow, even though it was barely above a twitch. So many years of not using his face muscles, he had all but lost his ability to hold facial expressions

Laughing merrily, the vixen shook her head and settled back to look at the fire. "Sorry, Snake....I didn't mean to startle you. Odd things are amusing to me...." Tapping her paw on her cheek, she realized that might have not been so strange with the vast ammount of crazy and downright abnormal foxes she'd seen while here.
Tilting her head, she knew marshmellows would be great right now....if they were indeed camping and not avoiding demons of the night.

He nodded and stared at the fire with his bored expression. He swore momentarily he saw things flickering in the flickering flame. Now he was hallucinating to? great
He twitched his ears as he swore he head a sound. Hurriedly, he swiped the mask that was cast aside and quickly slipped it on, despite how uncomfortable it suddenly felt. He quickly snatched the visor and activated it's night vision before putting it over his face. Hopefully, it would pick up whatever he had heard

Flicking her ears not at the sound but at the motions Snake made in lightning fast pace, her eyes slowly followed as the fox seemed tense.....which in turn made her even more tense not knowing what was going on.
Twisting to look where he had faced, she squinted her eyes and saw nothing amidst the dark of the night. "....Something wrong..?" She asked, glancing back his way as it was fruitless to try and see herself.

He twisted back to her and put a single finger over his mouth. His message was quite clear, so he took no time to hope she understood. He stood cautiously and tried to find where the sound had come from. Stupidly, he left the safety of the flickering light to see what caused the noise, forgetting entirely about the possible existence of an angry demon..thingy
He strained his eyes to try and see anything on his night vision, but nothing was immediately visible, let alone a possible cause of the noise he had heard

Immediately on alert, the vixen shut her mouth and scanned the area herself. She couldn't hear what Snake heard, but seeing as she was used to the demon in possible question she had a bit of advantage. Eyes flickering to the found as she searched that way, she sucked in her breath as she saw a few droplets of pitch black and gold; snapping her head to see Hoshi prowling the ninja in his own silent manner.
"Snake! He's back!" Kay barely had time to call out before the demon had jumped, mostly transparent to test the ninja yet the same crazed look in his slits for eyes apparent even now.

His ears twitched. He could swear he heard sounds, but there was nothing on his night vision at all. He couldn't have been more blind with his visor being little to no help. It was also no help to him that he had no idea as to what he was looking for.
He jerked his head over to Kay, confused for a moment as he was still seeing nothing, other than her and the fire, in his visor. He looked around as he reached for the fearsome blade perched on the small of his back. He couldn't even begin to describe what was happening next as whatever unseen force was out there hit him with great force. He scrambled to the ground, trying to catch his balance, but only ending up tumbling around, clueless as to what was attacking him. He tried swinging his sword to where he thought there was something, but he hit nothing. Think! Get a plan. Where is my attacker? he thought to himself as he tried desperately to find a target

She cursed mentally, her legs refusing to move away from the fire as she tried to figure out what was going on out there in the dark. Hoshi was out there, she knew this now and probably wasn't pleased from being wounded before. "Snake! Get back to the light..." Come on, where was he?
Hoshi on the other paw wasn't pleased at all, snarling deeply as his jaws materialized here and there to try and sink in a bite to try and infect him with the same poisonous essence. He remained nimble and swift to withdraw and dissipate into the air; only to try again at a different angle. Hoshi was fast, but he realized the ninja was indeed faster if he knew where his target was.

His mind was racing trying to formulate plan after plan to react with, but if he couldn't find his attacker then it would do no good. Run? Running is not good..I could run into my attacker he thought trying still to scramble to his feet. Every time he had a chance he felt an unknown force move towards him, and he simple reacted by falling, but he was getting further away. Not smart. What to do..what to do! his frantic thoughts were not helping. Then a plan.
It wasn't the smartest thing to do, suddenly stopping his rolling evasiveness, but it was necessary to focus his mind. What good was all that meditation if he couldn't keep calm in battle. Only for a brief second was he stationary. He had closed his eyes and took a deep breath, as he exhaled, he opened his eyes, and suddenly, things made sense. He couldn't see his attacker well, but he could see him. In a last ditch effort, Snake pulled out the gun from his holster and took aim. Though the pistol was small, it was specialized to do damage, and more importantly, be bright. Without hesitation, he pulled the trigger and made a mad dash for the fire, scrambling over bushes and limbs in the process

Closer, closer.....he was almost his, the demon could taste the blood on his jaws already. Hoshi could see the ninja was struggling, as hoshi continued to phase in and out of physical shape. What was he pulling out? No matter; within leaping range, he allowed his jaws to become tangible....his prey had given up as he wasn't moving much with his gun aimed at nothing.
Little did he know Snake had been focusing.
When the shot fired into his dissipated body; the light illuminated him from the inside as he shrieked in rage and swirled quickly away from the light. Snake of course getting away in the process.
Hearing the shot the vixen froze and bristled, wondering if she should be concerned for either Snake or Hoshi when she spotted Snake trampling over the fauna to get back to the light; and of course the barely visible form of a very pissed off Hoshi behind him. Not thinking, she looked down to the fire and grabbed the wood with the least embers encasing it and could feel the flames from the other end and heat single her paw. "Sprint!!!" She yelled and took a few steps out from the safety of the firelight to toss the log over his head towards the shadow demon; grinning in satisfaction as he yelped and darted the other direction from the oncoming light that went over his prey.

Snake ran as fast as he could, which was a very formidable speed, but it was still a strain to run that fast. Panting wildly and heart racing, he lept through the air and took a rough landing near the fire as light whizzed over his head. He looked back over and saw the demon turning and running, but he wasn't going to let the creature leave without a parting gift. b*****d. This is what you get for trying to kill me he thought as he scowled and raised his gun once again, this time taking aim on what he thought would be a solid form and pulling the trigger immediately after

Quickly backing up as another shot rang in her ears which hurt considerably more than when she'd heard gunfire as a human; the vixen hissed out a breath at her paw but took a moment to look up. Clearly she could hear the sound of a yelp which she assumed could only be that Hoshi had indeed been hit....but she was sure that it couldn't have been too bad. Although slow at times, Hoshi knew how to survive.
Looking down to Snake she smiled, glad to have him safe by the fire again. "Welcome back..."

Snake Eyes panted silently as he watched the beast retreat from the laser like bullet. The thick black outfit clung to his sweat matted fur and only made his life more difficult. Had it not been the only thing he had underneath it, he would happily discard it, but he was a gentlemen. There was no need for him to parade around shirtless now, especially seeing the beast could come back at any moment.
He looked over at the other fox and nodded his head. He wasn't used to being welcomed after he returned from a fight
