((Lol sorry, i've been busy lately))
Russ had heard everything about Ellie. It confirmed what he had thought. He wlked out behind James probably help him a bit. "I'll go with ya James if you don't mind." Russ was packing along his bow and pump action on his shoulders with his katana on his back for once. "I'd like to try my hand with that .50 cal sometime if you don't mind."

Ellie, to say the least, was shocked. Never in all her life as a vampire had she been around humans that were so understanding. It warmed her heart and brought tears to her eyes. If only her mother was here... Pushing her thoughts aside for now, she wiped away her tears before turning to Nicole. "Yes, Wal-Mart sounds like a plan." Taking the vile of blood and her new gun, she walked off the train, sliding the tube between her cleavage so she won't drop it and that it was within easy reach.

"It's partly because of vampires that we have zombies, now." Tyler lit up a long, thin cigar as the three men walked. The smell of vanilla became evident. "It's true. Vampirism is caused by a virus, not by black magic, as some think. The Final Plague is a secondary strain of the Human Vampire Virus. It causes iron deficiency and advanced cellular breakdown, which can be slowed by consumption of healthy human blood. When the human combatants of World War III released their chemical weapons, it caused a mutation in the viral RNA floating around in the world's vampires. The affected areas spawned new strains of vampires, the first zombies. And, here we are. I don't blame them, of course. The human warmongers who started the shooting are at fault. By the way, I was an HVV researcher before all this happened. So what are your stories?"

"I was a high school student planning on becoming a lawyer or an instrumentalist but then the plauge hit and you know the rest." Russ thought back on before he left to find others. "To think that was only three years ago."

"I can't say for sure if there is, or isn't one...but it gives us something to hope for. That ancient illusion, hope, has kept the human race alive since the day it was created. If we don't find the Promised Land, we'll make one ourselves!" Tyler grinned, slapping Russ on the shoulder. "That's my promise to you all. Somehow, some way, we'll make it out of this." Tyler depressed the switch on the radio. "Hear that, ladies? I promise we're gonna find the Promised Land!" Tyler laughed heartily.

Ellie couldn't help but chuckle a bit at the name. "The promised land... Sounds like Wolf's Rain if you ask me. Great anime..." At the thought of the old days where her mother and her watched anime and read manga. Abigail was a good mother when her real one got killed by a more violent vampire. She missed her.

"Actually, the name's Biblical. It was a green, plentiful, and lush land, promised to God's chosen people after generations of suffering. Since we're the only people left, I would hope that makes us God's chosen, now. Well, I can see the first ghouls of Augusta. We're gonna clean up for you. Give us about twenty minutes before you move into the city; we'll clear you a path. Over," Tyler radioed.

"Promised Land. Biblical. Moses, right? I'm not even that religious and I know that stuff. But I loved Wolf's Rain. Toboe was my favorite, though I liked how Kiba was a white wolf." Nicole said, walking next to Ellie. She shrugged. "Right then, we'll wait for you guys. Then get supplies, and off to the Promised Land!" Saying the last part loudly, she banged her walking stick on the ground hard a couple times like a staff. "While we're waiting, we can start making the list." she took a pen out of her pocket and rolled up the sleeve of her jacket on her left arm. " 'Kay: 'Things To Get'. First off..." she wrote on her arm, using it as a makeshift notepad.

Russ unsheathed his katana and spun it around. "Yeah zombie killin' time." He drew his pump action and charged killing each with skill.

"Watch yourself, Russ!" Tyler shouted before firing a few controlled bursts into the shuffling, necrotized mob. "You know, the temptation to throw it in 'kick-a** mode' is very strong with an automatic weapon in hand," he said between bursts, "but why waste ammo, when you can achieve the same result with few bullets as with many?" After thinning the ranks of ghouls, Tyler rushed in, the heavy gun in hand. Using the momentum of his own weight, Tyler turned and slammed the butt of the SAW into the nearest zombie skull, sending the creature reeling. Another one stalked towards him, but Tyler was faster than any zombie; he planted his heel in the monster's useless diaphragm, Leonidas-style. This one hit the ground hard. It rolled around like a fallen turtle, emitting its horrific moan as it did so. Tyler kicked the head hard enough to snap the neck, and the creature stopped moving. A third ghoul lunged at him, jaws snapping like a steel trap. Tyler allowed it to clamp down on the barrel of his gun, then fired a single round into its head. "Ew. Be mindful of the blood spray--that s**t goes everywhere," he called to his fellows.
