Roran smiled. "I don't know if I'd call this philosophical, but I suppose that's a fair description." Looking at the stars as well, he huffed another cough. "But the cold isn't what I meant. It's late. You should be in bed. Go to the tavern and do something entertaining, you'll be allowed to stay for free. I'll be okay. This is my job, after all."

Evian simply smiled, though inwardly it had already faded away to a small frown. I've just learned to deal with some of it's difficulties... She nodded as he stretched, "Understandable. Go enjoy some sleep." Her smile widened, blushing again as he kissed her hand, her green eyes following his departure. She didn't move for a few moments, her gaze remaining on where he had gone before she looked down at the counter. Shaking her head at her thoughts, she chuckled to herself, buying one last bottle and a room before heading up to it.

Locking the door behind herself, she went over to the window, opening the bottle and taking a swig as she hummed a tune to herself. It would be a couple of hours before she finally went to bed, overall satisfied in how the evening had ended.

Naomi had also headed up to her room at some point while Evian and Gitano had been speaking to each other, aided by one of the people in the tavern. Thanking the man, she went into her room, sighing heavily as she could just barely tell outlines of shapes, taking a guess by their size as to what they were. Removing her corset, she took a deeper breath, always feeling some relief when it came off. Pulling off her boots, and long black gloves, she was left in her white robe. She grimaced while she pulled off her gloves, feeling the rough edges of scars, ignoring the memories that came forth from them.

Her feet were silent upon the floor as she walked over to the bed, laying there and thinking about many a thing before she closed her eyes. She hummed to herself as she drifted off into sleep, a tear rolling from her eye as she rolled onto her side.

He chuckled, she was quite odd. Looking her over at her question, he looked away, not answering for some moments. "Hmm," he started, shooting her a sideways glance, "I couldn't care less whether you left or not." Smirking a little, he let out a sigh. Looking back into the village, he saw Luna approaching in the distance.

Having taken everyone to the tavern, she wandered around town for a bit. It was always a good idea to check the alleys and whatnot to make sure no one was sneaking around. Being a guard was always made harder by hoodlums sneaking around unchecked, so she strolled, not really worrying, cause for the two months they had been there they never had any trouble from inside the town. There was one time when a pack of wolves got a bit close, but Roran and herself were able to chase them off, only killing one.

Having wandered through the whole town, she went back to Roran, taking note of Amaya's presence too. "Everyone's gone to bed, Roran. All the lights are out. It won't be long before someone comes to replace us. That is, unless you decide you want to stick around all night like the one time."

"Smirking, he shook his head. "No, I'll let them take my place, though I am thinking of leaving. This town has gotten quite boring, honestly, and it would be nice to change it up." Looking into the darkness again, he let out a soft sigh. Only ever darkness. "Besides, weren't we talking about going to Velburg?"

"Velburg! I said I didn't want to go there! You know I hate big towns. Velburg's the largest town within at least two days' time from here! Can't we go somewhere else?"

"You're whining like a child! And besides, you don't have to come with me. You're your own person. Do what you want. If you'd rather stay in Rollin, then stay here. If you'd rather go to the next village over, go ahead. I think I'll go to Velburg. It has been a while." Glancing at his partner of two years, it would be a bit weird not having her around, but he was right, she didn't have to follow him like she had.

Luna fell silent at his words. She knew he was right, but it still stung. She herself knew she didn't need to follow him, especially since her swordplay had much imroved, but the facts were still the facts, and they had traveled together for two years. That must mean something to him! Looking at Amaya, she spoke quickly, throwing her arms in anger, "What do you think? Velburg is too big, right? He'll just get lost when he goes wandering off like he so often does!"

Luna grunted at her answer, puffing out her chest, about to yell, but instead letting it out as a sigh. "Fine. Whatever. Do what you want." Turning away, she walked back into town, her spirits severly down. She didn't want to leave him, but she hated big towns. They always meant trouble for her.

Roran let her go, not saying a word. Instead, he just peered into the darkness. It really didn't matter to him, whether she was with him or not. He had himself to talk to. Plus, he could take care of himself now, and he knew she could too. So there was absolutely nothing to worry about.

Malachai pulled his cloak a little tighter around himself, sighing as he checked the bounty he had received. He knew how picky Evian could be with how much she got, heaven forbid he be a coin off. The pouch vanished within the folds of his cloak as he approached the rear guards, nodding to them. "Evening sirs. Just visiting a friend is all." He answered a couple of their questions, explaining he was a traveler who was quite capable. Truthfully, he was a little frustrated, but it would be hard to guess considering his expression seemed to hardly change and remained unreadable.

Finally allowed in, he made for the tavern, hoping that she was awake at this point. Knowing her shes probably is and working off of a hangover. Sighing, he shook his head to himself, whistling a tune as he stuffed his hands in his pockets, rolling his shoulders, causing his arrows to clack together in their quiver.

Mal knew his friend well, Evian was awake with a headache just a smidge stronger than she'd like, groaning. Maybe I should listen to Mal and drink less.... She ended up quickly dismissing the idea, climbing out of bed with a stretch and a yawn. Pulling her boots on, she reattached her weapons and then held her cloak over an arm, heading downstairs in the hopes of just getting some water. Well, at least there was someone behind the counter though it wasn't the bartender. Looked like a girl about a few years younger than herself, sitting down at the counter. "Uh... can I just get some water and anything you may have for a headache? Actually, something to eat would be lovely too." She ended up receiving a tea that would supposedly help, taking a sip as the girl vanished to go cook her food.

Taking a deep sigh, she looked around at the rather empty room, raising her hazel eyes to the ever present darkness outside. Hope it's not too cold. She closed her eyes and returned to her tea, finding it not half bad. It was helping a bit with the headache, just not as fast as she would like. No remedy ever works fast enough.
