screamin-in_pain MusicIsLyfe104 ours is "Rock Anthems" Rock 'n Roll All Nite (Kiss), Who Are You? (The Who), and Come Sail Away (Styx) Our band played Come Sail Away too! Mabye it'll be more fun for your band but it was torcher for my band. I hate that song now!!! scream Hopefully it'll be fun for you. lol I wouldn't know. I haven't played through it yet >.< my part looks easy though razz I love that song ^-^

Mah school is doing a song called "Starry Night" or something like that :3 haha. It has themes of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" in it and real cool music...it sounds lame but it's pretty awesome actually...

I don't know what songs exactly, but I do know 25 or 6 to 4 is one of them.
The band chicago, not the musical. Thought I'd clarify.

This year we're doing Retro Rewind. We start with a song from 2000-2010 and go back a decade for every song.

We're doing West Side Story. I wish we could find something a little more epic (especially since it'll be my last show season!) but you take what you get, and it was probably the best already-arranged show for a band of thirty-five people. *sigh*
I'm not sure what movements we're doing or what medlies, but I think that we've got The Jet Song, Gym Mambo (and something else?), somewhere we have "Cool," and there's obviously "Maria." I haven't seen the sheet music yet, but then again I'm in the color guard again (yay!) so I won't even heard the music until July.

This year's show is going to be themed Fate of the Gods. At least, that's what the song we're basing it off is called. Our Wind Ensemble played Fate of the Gods, and everyone fell in love with it.
The best part about this is that our band director is writing the movements and the drill. I'm so excited!

I'm not quite sure what our show's going to be called, or what the theme is really... But we're doing some Cirque du Soliel music and whatnot.
The show was going to be called Firebird, but I think he trashed that idea... >.>
But, anything is better than last year's show about cave paintings.

our show theme for this year is ninja!! were all really pumped. the music is creepy and the guard has all kinds of costume changes, even with spinning swords instead of rifles. biggrin

The theme for our show is The Carmen Project. We're playing sings from both Carmen and West Side story.

We are doing a Latin theme this year which isn't a good idea due to the fact that Latin music is very trumpet heavy and our trumpets are s**t this year.

Our theme this year is Fire!!!!!! Our three songs are:
Malaguena
Fire of Eternal Glory
Light My Fire (from The Doors)
Malaguena's absolutley fun to play (though it's hard) and FoEG is just epic awesomeness. We haven't gotten Light My Fire yet (needs to be arranged) but I'm excited for it. Also we have 6 invitationals (6 chances to get 6 first places) and a national competition at New Orleans and get to play at half time (with other high school bands) at the Sugar Bowl in NO. This year's gonna be amazing.
EDIT: I got Light My Fire Tuesday and it looks awesome though I don't know how it sounds cause we haven't played it as a band yet. But band camp's knocking on my door!!!!!! SO FRIGGIN EXCITED FOR SUNDAY!!

Our show this year is "Midnight in Transylvania." Which sounds like it would be kind of cheesy considering all the twilight hype that's going around. But the music is really awesome. (: I'm excited to see what the drill is to go with this music.
Also, this is our first show where we haven't done a classical composer. (we started doing competitive field show my sophmore year, and that show was pictures at an exhibition, firebird suite, and ritual firedance. junior year was new world symphony.) I'm really excited for this, my senior show (((:
