I've been lost in loneliness, of these nights deeper than darkness I want someone to notice now... Because I want to get out of here -Cyric- Goodness gracious that was alot to gather up in a short amount of time now wasn't it? Cyric managed somehow, absorbing all the information this tactician had to dish out. He was required to know it all in a matter of speaking anyways. Coming from a different world? Somehow, why wasn't the silver knight at all surprised by this? Or maybe he was but he just wasn't showing it. Whatever the case, Cyric was not by all means surprised or shocked by the news.
Back to the tactics, the army already had fliers going about on the mountains..could they possibly have more toward the river? Or was the ones he fought the only ones that were there...surely some have fallen at Fort Vajeh. The suggestion to send some people to the other two close areas. "If we are to do this, I recommend we act now. We do not know how fast they are moving and where their current locations are" he paused for a moment, scaling the distance between Restia and Altiplas..Restia was definlently closer..but at the same time if he recalled. That was where the priestess and-
"...Rina.." he murmured, realizing that Caterina was probably there by now..her duty...priestess's guardian...curses. He hadn't realized the mention of her name slipped out until a couple seconds later. If he could help it, he would be by her side. Now was not the time anyhow. Cyric shook the thought out of his head, praying to all god and goddess he knew for her safety. "I would feel at more ease if you were to go to Restia..but the choices is yours..you chose to accompany those to Altiplas and I will not argue." Where Learania chose to go was not his business. His minding should be with his own army and where to lead them.
Where he needed to stand was also in question..stay in the capital? Or accompany Alihi to Altipas. "A few of my men are still recovering, for now I will accompany you to Altipas with a few of my good soldiers. Unless you had something else in mind for us. The rest however, will remain here....I believe I can trust you with those, Cornelius?" ___________
I don't want a fight. So I can't say anything...
I have dreams and ideals...
But my feelings just keep taking over...

Roy listened to Elly speak. She was certainly bringing up a different approach, and was thankful that he had gone to a third party for help. When she had finished, he exhaled, then took a quick, cool breath.
"Responding to your questions in order...I really like Lilina, so yes, I have feelings for her. It then depends on how long I've known the girl, how well I can relate to her, how well we get along, and how often I see them. When I'm with Mel...it doesn't feel any different than when I'm with Lilina, though...it does feel a little warmer. Probably because she's always playing with fire." he shrugged, then continued.
"When she kissed and confessed to me, I was surprised. Sure, she was drinking quite a bit during the party, but she seemed sober enough to know what she was doing. But still...being kissed by someone who's been drinking alcohol for the past who knows how much time we spent at the bar doesn't leave a good taste in one's mouth." he grimaced.
"Her company is just as enjoyable as when I'm with Lilina or Lalum." Here, he took a pause before he glanced over at Elly when she stopped to confront him about how he felt about Melethia. If she was asking that last question, then clearly she didn't understand why he was struggling so much with this.
"That's the thing. I don't know how I feel about her. If I did, I wouldn't be struggling so much with this problem." he said softly.
He then shook his head and sighed before looking up at the darkening sky. "I really wish there was an easy button sometimes for some situations...so people wouldn't suffer so much with their problems."

xxxxx"If you're worried about surviving, xxxxxxxyou can worry about it after you're dead!" "The wyvern riders of Bern sit atop the heap of all other forces on the continent!" xxxxx "You will see our power soon!" "Hell yes you're going out into the field! Very good." Vaida looked over to the Estarcian commander, after he voiced his concern. "Don't worry your little head off, about Restia! Our tactician thinks that most of the enemies are coming from the west, so that's where I'm headed. I'll meet them head on and drive them back. You'll find that I tend to get what I aim for." Her tone grew a little snotty. "Feel free to camp near that area and take notes."
The Learanian commander looked back over at her guild-mates. "I'll have my two officers, Needles and Deborah, lead two groups north and hold off those enemy fliers. With that, we'll have our own defensive belt to go against our enemy's. I'll have some healers in all groups, but not very much. I think a base should be set up for where we send the wounded for better treatment. We'll station the Watch there, as protection." she looked back at the Estarcians. "If you have an old fort of some kind we can use, that will be great. It should be a somewhat hidden place, that the enemy won't know of. We'll put most of the healers we brought, there." She glanced back at Alihi and popped a question to her so the idea could be confirmed, but did not expect a reply. Silence would signify a yes, in her mind. "Sound good to you?"

Elly shook her head, he was going about this situation entirely wrong..perhaps she wasn't clear. "I don't think your understanding what I am trying to point out" The sniper mentioned, suddenly raising a finger up to his face then pulled it toward her lips as she spoke. "Speak from your heart, what does it tell you?" perhaps that was more clear then anything else. She was trying to get him away from the label 'like', 'love' and 'confession' which was something Roy needed to worry about last. "As a friend, how do you see Melethia? Because by the tone of your voice and the way you speak of her..it is as if you want nothing more to do with her then simply friends" Was that what he really wanted? After all that he's been through with this girl? To simply end it as friendship? If so then Roy had nothing else to think about, his answer was right there in front of him. Not that it wasn't before but should the red-headed teen think about it anymore then the more confused he was bound to get. "I'm not trying to confuse you anymore then you already are." Elhaym paused for a moment, then dropped her hand to her side. She wasn't getting anywhere with this, he wanted help, she offered to help and she was going to give him the help he needed. "Very well...lets take a different approach then" from her quiver, Elly pulled out one of her arrows and knelt to the ground. Using the tip she wrote out 'Lilina' and 'Melethia'(Only two because she didn't know the third name) into the snow and stood up. "If Lilina and Melethia were in grave danger, a life threatening danger...but.." she paused, raising her right hand to point to the sky, it still held the arrow she used to draw. "You can only save..one..whose life would you rush to save..? I don't want you to give me an answer right away, think about the good and the bad that has happened when you are with both of them and then tell me" it wold be a difficult decision but this was the only way to clear things up. Should he choose Lilina, then the friendship with Melethia would remain the same. If he chose Melethia however, it would mean she means a whole lot more to him then simply 'friends'.

Whoo-HOO! More complications!
Uh-oh...Elly was shaking her head now. He listened to her words in silence. More getting answers from his heart. Hadn't he been struggling with that ever since he spoke with his shotabard of an Uncle? She made it sound like it was so easy.
...And now she was accusing him of seeing Mel as only a friend. Perhaps that was true, but he wasn't sure. He knew she wasn't trying to make things any more confusing for him, but it certainly wasn't helping.
...And now she had given him a figurative landmine: both girls in grave danger, can only save one. Well, that was a situation he certainly didn't want to be in. If there was ever a plot twist where that happened, he would seriously be ******** style="color: red">"...It depends on what sort of grave danger they're in. Since they're both magic users, they should be fine against most magical dangers. But if it's some other sort of danger..." he looked away.
Well, at least he had some time to think about it. He searched his memories for instances when he was with one or the other.

Splat! During the middle of Roy's little excuse, Elly had formed a snow ball where she knelt and threw it at the red-headed teen, hitting him smack dab on the face. Must he make things more difficult then they already were? Magic users or not, their life is in danger! "That's not the point here! magic users or not, they're about to die!" The sniper screamed, chucking another snowball toward him that hit his forehead. Maybe she had just disturbed his thinking, but at the moment she was frustrated and the first thing that came to her mind was apparantly chucking a snowball at poor Roy. She let out a low huff and kicked the snow. Obviously throwing snowballs at the lord wasn't going to help. Instead she packed together snow and began rolling it against the white blanket around them, keeping herself occupied with a snowman while the Lord went to his thinking. After she had rolled the first one in the proper size she wanted, Elly patted it then looked up "For now, live your life how you normally do. If you think on it too much the answer will never come." The sniper stared for a moment then resumed with her mission to create a snowman.

Charice noted Mihira perking up at the mention of the shield. What, was someone in the Guard going to be outfitted with one of those? She was impressed, however--those shields were very difficult to come by. If you tried making one, it would ring up quite a fee in gold, unless the Guard happened to have top-notch craftsmen. She'd have to pay close attention to the wyvern riders in the Guard, because if they suddenly started getting those things, she'd like to find out how they received them...
Granted, there might still be wind magic to worry about (in addition to causing damage, it could blow a flier way offcourse--a good Elwind could send a wyvern slamming its rider into the side of a building, and she'd be finished), but one weakness at a time.
"Break from personal training...? I'd ask if you meant Sentria, but that was anything but a break," Charice said jokingly. "I... you got permission from your commander, right? I..."
She paused. After all, there were other hearing ears in their midst. Saying "I would have gone whether he gave me permission or not" wasn't the best thing to say--it would be disrespectful to her boss in front of his own men, and it would have made herself sound horrible for shirking her own job out of pride.
Sure, he was a corrupt, fat, drunken b*****d, but he was still the head of the Watch.
"I was lucky enough to get Ghis' permission to go. I don't think he was too upset about it. On the other hand, I rarely get a day off... certainly not since then, at least. I guess being the sole flier in the Watch'll do that to you, but... it just hasn't given me much time to think about what happened."
She doubted anyone in the Guard actually knew what happened inside that... whatever that place was. Things happened inside that... well, if she told them to anyone, they likely wouldn't believe her.

The Dame Knight listened carefully to Alihi and Cyric's conversation along with Vaida's comment about the enemy when they sat down. Although it seemed that Mordache was the prime suspect to attack, what Alihi said made sense. It would be a waste of energy for the army to travel around instead of marching straight forth.
Furthermore, the theory of using a Warp staff was skeptical for Isadora. If the unknown force was from oversea, then how did they not know of another continent? She remembered reading a bit of the continent history when she was trying to study about Leander, the Learanian king. From what she had read, Leander had nearly destroyed the world, causing a tsunami and sunk all battleships continent but one. The continent that they were on. But if it was from another land, how did that unknown force knew of this land? No, it was still too skeptical for her. There must be another reason.
When Alihi explained to the Estarcians about their origins, it made perfect sense for the paladin. Like themselves, the unknown force must have come another world. But which world did this unknown force came from? That was the problem they need to figure out. If the force came from the world they knew, then it would be easier to outmaneuver the movement. However, figuring out their identity would have to come later. Right now, they need to stop the force.
Isadora listened carefully to the tactical plan Alihi was explaining as she studied the map. Although the paladin was unsure what was the force's goal was, the movement that the Tactician explained made sense. It would be the only movement that the enemy would have to make if they had a tactician on their side. Not to mention, it was the only movement if they were in an unknown land. Once again, Alihi had made a good deduction, even if it was a guess.
The paladin frowned a bit when she heard Alihi made a comment about heading to Altiplos. Although it would be dangerous to lose their only best tactician out in the battlefield, what Alihi said made sense. If they needed to figure out the enemy's movement, the best way was to see them in action. Now to figure out what her movement would be.
"I volunteer to stay in Archesis and be the base watch." Isadora spoke. "I will send out the message to you in case we receive more news about the enemy and their movements. In addition, we need to keep up the status of how the injures are and how much aid we can give."
The paladin thought back to the conversation they had said earlier, trying to figure out what was the enemy's goal. If what Alihi said was true, that Archesis was their target to reach, then what was it that they were after? Was it to dethrone the king? Or could there be something else important in this kingdom? The paladin would have to speak with Cornelius and Cyric later once they gathered more information about the enemy. Speaking about the enemy...
"Sir Cyric," Isadora addressed the male paladin as she turned her attention to him. From what Cornelius had told her before the conference, he said that Cyric had came from the battle. Was it against the unknown force that the Captain of Estarcian Guards fought? "Do you happened to see the enemy's banner when you were battling with them? If you do, can you describe us what the banner look like?"
If the banner was from the worlds they knew so well, then they had managed to identify the enemy. And even if they couldn't identify the enemy, the paladin knew for sure that they would win the battle. She just hoped that luck was on their side.

I've been lost in loneliness, of these nights deeper than darkness I want someone to notice now... Because I want to get out of here -Cyric- If Vaida was saying not to worry about Restia, then obviously she had no idea that the priestess was a very important person to the country, Estarcia. "Be that as it may.." Cyric murmured, still a little worried for that particular area. Perhaps he was simply overlooking the situation. They didn't know what the enemy was after and for all they know it could simply just be conquering the land which they stand on. He paused for a moment, nodding in agreement with the tactician's judgement. After all, he needed to trust in her judgement for this battle..even if there was something lingering in the back of his mind, telling him otherwise, Cyric did not argue, he didn't even know if Caterina was there anyhow.
The silver knight picked up a quill off the table and pulled the map toward him when Vaida had asked if there were any old or abandoned fort that they no longer use. "We have in fact a couple that are no longer in use" The captain explained, drawing his hand over the map and circled a blank spot on the map "The one a little above Restia is an abandoned tower. But I must warn you, do be careful in this building. It is very old and will come crashing down should any piece be moved...and..the second.." his finger tapped against the table as he tried to remember where the second fort or tower was. "Here" circling another on the map, a little off from the northern mountains and just at the edge of a river. "I know not whether this fort still stands, but you may try your luck if you wish to do so"
After a moment later, Isadora had finally spoken up. She had been quiet this entire conversation that Cyric had started to think the dame paladin had fallen asleep. So she volunteered to stay in the capital. That put him to ease just a little to know someone would be here to protect the others. "Sir Cyric,"Cyric lifted his head, coming eye to eye with Isadora. She was asking about..a banner? Such a thing hadn't occured to the silver knight..but even if the enemy did have one, they would not be visable if they were on a Wyvern.
"In all honesty, Dame Isadora. I do not know of any sort of banner that they had on them. The ones that I had encountered were Wyvern Knights and Wyvern Lords..if they did have such an item, I do not think I would be able to see such a thing." assuming the object would be flying about due to the wind or the speed their mount was going, it would be hard to see such a thing. ___________

Cornelius stayed quiet throughout the meeting. He was more interested in what the Learanians had to say, and any information about the enemy would be better said by Cyric, who had actually fought them. He simply nodded when needed and confirmed what he could. When he was asked if he could handle the troops staying behind, Cornelius audibly responded. "Yes. I will prove that the trust you have given me is well placed."
The conversation continued, and thankfully they were finally getting to deciding where to move and who would go. When Cornelius heard Lady Isadora relay that she would stay at the capital, a sense of happiness came up inside of him. The lady always seemed to know how to keep things calm and orderly. And with a sweet personality like hers, nobody ever seemed to dislike her. In his eyes at least, Isadora was one of the most respected among her people, and even many Estarcians who knew her seemed to accept her into their social standing. Work at the capital would certainly be far more enjoyable.
A moment later, Cyric's attention was brought to the map once more, in an attempt to answer the feistier Learanian. Cornelius agreed that having a base set up for healing was a good idea. A place closer to the fighting, and yet not directly in the battlefield was the more strategic location. He listened to Cyric name off places as a possibility, but not many of them seemed to be suiting. The first fort was too run down, far too dangerous to set up a place of healing. The second was... well... "That fort no longer stands, Sir Cyric. It was taken down and used as resources for the villages in that area." Cornelius leaned forward and placed his finger elsewhere on the map. It was north-east of the capital, along the same line of Restia, which was north-west of the capital. "However, there is an old fort here. It was abandoned a bit before your time, Sir Cyric, so I do not find it strange that you know naught of it. I also know that it is still in good shape. It's location is shrouded by forestry, and the distance from it to here takes the same time that is required to travel to Restia. I think it will be far enough away from the front lines." Cornelius looked away from the map and sat back into his seat. "That is my suggestion, at least."

Lance's thoughts was finally getting structure. No longer was his mind directly linked with his mouth, and instead of rambling on, he could actually get his point across. He sighed. "So basically, there's an unknown enemy, strikin' from the shadows, withou' leavin' any trace or clue abou' wha' they are, and now we're bein' sen' in to help? Sounds more like we're fillin' positions as additional mea' shields." He scratched the back of his head. "I don' know who our superiors are, bu' I do hope tha' they are considerin' scoutin' and gatherin' intelligence rather than just bunkerin' down with everyone gathered at the same place to prepare for some major battle, 'cause when the enemy is unknown, tha' is the wors' possible tactic to utilize...then again, I've los' my mind, so I probably shouldn' try talkin' abou' tha'."
He shrugged at Blossom's suggestion. He wouldn't have minded just sitting down and playing chess or something, to keep his head clear and sharp, but if she wanted to sightsee, who was he to complain? "Righto lass, bu' I don' even know wha' Estarcia is famous for, so you would have ta take the lead on tha' one."

She rubbed the back of her head, looking down to her very out-of-place shoes, wondering just how many people went off to do battle in Mary Janes. The little Hero tried not to let herself linger on the fact that, well, she wasn't much good for strategy that wasn't limited to just her own actions when Lance spoke up again. "I mean, we don't have to wander around if you don't want, really. We can stay here and just sit and let everyone else run around and spaz out." I feel like I can face the day... ...and I can forgive. ♦ ◄ALIHI► ♦ ————————————
There was nothing for Alihi to say at this point; she had already nodded in agreement to everything that was said, and whatever was being spoken of was something the tactician did not have enough knowledge of to contribute anything useful. Her heart pounded heavily as she sat quietly, waiting for the talk to finish. It was just as Cyric mentioned earlier. The location of their enemy was unknown; the sooner they left, the better.
She clenched her hands together. The easy part of this whole ordeal was drawing to a close. It was simple enough to make plans for battle; To make them work out perfectly, however, was a completely different story. She could only hope that things would go as smoothly as possible.

xxxxx"If you're worried about surviving, xxxxxxxyou can worry about it after you're dead!" "The wyvern riders of Bern sit atop the heap of all other forces on the continent!" xxxxx "You will see our power soon!" Vaida looked at the map, as she was directed to a couple of candidates for a healing base. She didn't like either. Neither place seemed suiting, and the first one was even dangerous to use. She sat for a moment, and tried to think of something, when the larger man spoke up. Vaida looked at him, then at the map, as he gave out a suggestion. A smile came over her face, after she saw where the place was located. "Yeah, I like that spot. That'll work."
The commander looked around at all the faces. "Alright, so we all know where we're going to go, and what we're going to do." She turned to Alihi. "We'll get a group together for you and have you set out first. Your location is the furthest, and will take the most time. I'll get everybody else up and going, then head out, myself. My destination will take the least amount of time to get to. By the time I can leave, I'll still get there some time in the morning."
Vaida stood up and stretched. They had been talking for a long while now, and her limbs were stiff. "So, we have four groups. One to Restia, One to Altiplos, and two toward the north, by the mountains. We'll also have a fifth group consisting of our healers, which will be guarded by the Watch. They will be led to the abandoned fort." She paused for a moment and stretched her leg. "Well, from what I see, we're done here. Let's get moving!" She left the room, and made her way back to the barracks, to inform everyone of what they have planned.

A young woman stood in the doorway of a building. Her blue and gold helmet covered her head of green hair and her sensitive blue eyes even more than when she was watching where sher was going in front of her. "Gamblin' eh?" she said in a country accent to herself, giving a grin. "I need some of that money! I'm tired of havin' that corn there all the time!" She took off her helmet and shook her head a bit, her hair swaying the way her head was going. She looked into her helmet to see a few pieces of currency. "Should be enough," she said to herself as she carried her helmet to the door. She then opened it...
"Howdy there!" she greeted everyone with a huge grin. "My name's Nephenee and I want to do some gamblin' with y'all!" She paced the floor a few steps and looked at the red haired boy with a huge grin. "Howdy, stranger!" she greeted once again. "What's your name?"
