I had the taste of Blood and C h o c o l a t e in my mouth... Rahne walked along, a permanent smile plastered on his lips as if a switch had been flipped, changing him from kind man to hungry predator. His movements were fluid despite his size. Each of his steps were completely silent as he weaved through trees and debris as the wind picked up. Occasionally he would look over his shoulder to make sure Hiou was following. His muscles twitched as he picked up the scent he was looking for, a large buck and luckily the wind was on their side. "When I take it down I want you to get your fill," He told her. "I'll eat after you." He threw the words over his shoulder, his tone barely above a whisper as he pressed on, moving quietly until his meal came into sight.

Hiou watched as Rahne moved through the trees, his body twisting and bending in a graceful symphony of lithe muscle as he neared the buck. She made sure to study his every move so that she would know what to do when the time came for her to hunt. A small drop of wetness fell on the corner of her eye and slide down her cheek, signaling that the rain had started. She wanted to glance up at the trees and watch as it fell slowly to the ground, but she knew that she must keep watching him. She would have to enjoy her first time out in the rain later.

Scared little Rabbit... →→→ Please drop your [F r i g h t]! "As soon as I bring it down come and finish it." He told her, his focus never leaving the buck, his licked his lips once as a crack of thunder sounded overhead and a growl escaped his lips. The buck had been spooked and was about to dart off, he watched the twitch of it's muscles as he poised to spring but in that same second Rahne jumped into action. Out of pure reflex he changed. His hands grew into claws, arms and legs lengthening, his jaw reshaped and his teeth sharpened. The final crunch and extension of his spine completed the change and he landed on the ground on four huge paws. His senses heightened even more, the smell of damp earth and vampire tingled his nose. The buck darted at the sight of him, getting only three bounds in before Rahne took it down with incredible ease. He wished it was more of a challenge, but Hiou needed to feed, now. Pinning the buck under his huge paw his eyes flicked over to the young vampire, his hold tightening as the creature struggled. he had his jaws on its neck, drawing blood but not using enough force to end the creature's life.

Hiou gasped as Rahne transformed, her eyes growing wide at the sight. She had never seen a werewolf before. Were they all this huge and frightening? She watched, amazed, as he took down the buck with ease. She had expected him to kill it, but the thing struggled under his claw, trying to escape. Fear engulfed her, freezing her body to the spot, making escape impossible. But all thoughts of running fled as he drew blood from the creature. Hiou could feel the slight pain in her eyes and knew they now shown red. Ignoring Rahne completely, Hiou walked to where the buck lay thrashing on the ground, and fell to her knees next to it. Licking her lips in anticipation, she slowly bent her head down until she could taste its blood. She groaned at the taste as it spread over her tongue. Absolutely delicious. Clenching it tight in her fists, she removed it from under Rahne's claw and held it tightly against her chest, sucking fervently, needing more. She now understood why other Blood killed for this. There was nothing like it. The seductive sweetness of it, the smooth texture as it slid down her throat. Hiou opened her mouth wider and bit down, drawing as much blood out of it as she could. She felt the creature go limp in her arms, and her eyes opened to see it staring at her with lifeless eyes, accusing her of her horrible actions. Hiou dropped the thing quickly and crawled backward across the damp earth, watching as the last of its blood pooled on the ground and mixed with the rain. Startled by her actions, she could do nothing but sit there, her eyes never leaving it.

Scared little Rabbit... →→→ Please drop your [F r i g h t]! Rahne sat idly by as Hiou drank, he licked his lips in anticipation, the cool rain soaking him through his fur. When she moved away from the lifeless form of the creature, his eyes lingered on her for a moment, as if to ask if she was done and without further hesitation he tore into the flesh of the creature. His sharp fangs ripped through fat and muscle, devouring it all with equal indifference as it warmed his flesh and filled his belly. It was only a matter of minutes before there was nothing but bones and fur left. For a lycan, Rahne was a pretty clean eater, leaving not much of a mess behind. After licking his muzzle clean he bowed his head over the creature's remains, giving a silent thank you for the meal it provided before moving his gaze to Hiou's small frame. Thunder cracked overhead once more as he closed the distance between them, the rain and wind picking up more momentum as the night pushed on.

Hiou's patchy dress clung to every curve of her soft body as the rain picked up, her hair sticking to her face. She tore her gaze from what little remained of the small thing they had just eaten as Rahne neared, but there was no fear. She had offered her own small prayer of thanks after he had fed from it. The taste of its blood was still in her mouth, making her want more. But she could never allow herself to give in to the bloodlust. She refused to turn into the very thing she had always hated. Hiou sat before him, her face calm, her body shaking slightly from the cold that tore through her and sank deep into her bones. Though she was almost numb with cold, the rain felt good as it washed over her and her surroundings. A smile actually turned her lips as she looked up at the dark sky.

Scared little Rabbit... →→→ Please drop your [F r i g h t]! Rahne was only a foot from Hiou, leaning forward so his face was even closer. His large, now yellow, eyes scanned her face as he took in her scent. His face softened as he looked at her, then to the sky before he gave her a long wet, affectionate lick across her face, his lips curling up into a wolfish grin before he curled up around her. Even in the cold rainy night his skin was warm to the touch as he allowed her to lean against his side if she so wished. His head rested on his massive paws as he watched her, figuring that she would want to revel in her first kill and the calming rain.

Hiou blinked, surprised and almost disgusted, as Rahne licked her face. Her expression turned to one of joy at his unexpected affection, and she found herself laughing as he curled around her. She wrapped her arms around his furry body and buried her face in his neck, her body shaking with so many emotions. She continued to laugh even as tears poured down her cheeks to mix with the rain on his fur. She was just so grateful to be alive. For the first time in her life, she actually felt as though she belonged somewhere. Hiou just hoped it could last.

Scared little Rabbit... →→→ Please drop your [F r i g h t]! Rahne whimpered softly, turning his head slightly into Hiou, wondering why she was crying. He hated it when females cried, even vampire females. He curled around her a little tighter, curious as to what she thinking as the storm echoed throughout the night. Out of the storm came a bright flash, followed by a loud crack behind them, in the next second Rahne jumped up, pulling Hiou with him as the air shifted and the next second a large tree lay where they had been seconds before. Growling at the fallen trunk Rahne held Hiou safely to his chest with his large forelimbs. Just as he thought that the biggest of their troubles was another tree trying to end their lives a familiar scent stung his nose, causing him to hold Hiou a bit tighter. Seemingly out of nowhere he flung Hiou on his back and took off back into the forest.

Hiou's heart beat quickly as Rahne pulled her away from where a large tree now lay. A second later, she was flung across his back, and they were running through the woods at a terrifying speed. Hiou clung tightly to Rahne. She had no idea what was going on, but she trusted him to get her to safety. She tried to hold him as securely as she could without pulling out clumps of his fur, but it was hard. She didn't want to fall off his back and be left behind to whatever he was fleeing from.

I had the taste of Blood and C h o c o l a t e in my mouth... Rahne changed back as he ran, his body reforming under Hiou's small frame. He held her tightly on his back as the rain continued to fall, causing his blonde locks to cling to his face. He only slowed when the cabin came into view letting Hiou slide off his back. "Sorry about that." He said a little ashamed as he looked back the way they had come.

Hiou followed Rahne's gaze. "No need to apologize. I would actually like to thank you for all you have done for me..." she said shyly. Because of him she now had what she wanted most in this world; a place to belong, and a friend. "What was it you sensed?" she asked him as he continued to stare into the dark woods. Her soaked hair dripped down her back, causing her to shiver, but she tried to ignore the cold as she waited for his answer.

I had the taste of Blood and C h o c o l a t e in my mouth... "Another lycan." Rahne said, giving the forest one last scan. If he had stood to fight the other he would have had to kill it, for if any of his pack caught word that he was traveling with a Blood... all hell would break loose. Rahne hoped that the rain would wash away any trace of Hiou as he motioned for her to go back inside, holding the door open for her.

☆═━┈Ҟιαяα Ɍєɠιȵα┈━═☆ ◢ ◤ Big is the bad, no one has to be sad Let's pick an excuse, or keep the one we had ◥ ◣ Kiara could hear the small creaks in the hollowed out wood as Nel shifted about in her sleep. The little fairie closed her eyes, when... Crack! It sounded as if someone had broken a bone or tree branch, but a thousand times amplified to her sensitive ears. She quickly sat up, her hands flinging to the sides of her head to protect her ears from the next onslaught of thunder. Kiara looked towards the little opening in her branch. Despite there being an opening, the storm didn't attack the small fairie with it's harsh winds; only with the sounds. Still, she crept further away from the opening. She loved storms, but hated the wind. It always blew her about as if she were a leaf, which was fun at times, but not in a storm such as this. She suttered a bit, the sound like the rustling of leaves. Kiara knew the old oak could hold out, but in a storm such as this, even the fairies doubted the strength of such old wood. ◢ ◤ All I can be, no one will ever see No one wants a tragedy, only a remedy ◥ ◣

╭╭╭╭╭ Ⓝ ⓘ ⓒ ⓞ ⓛ ⓛ ╮╮╮╮╮ She's a rebel. She's a saint. She's the salt of the earth and she's dangerous. - ↚ - ↛ -- ↚ - ↛ -- ↚ - ↛ -- ↚ - ↛ - Nel had awoken. She peaked out of the tree to see that the storm was still upon them. It didn't seem as bad as it was predicted to be, but for creatures like Kiara it was. Carefully, she climbed onto the ground. She watched as the lighting struck and thunder sounded. To her it was music, but her hearing wasn't like other creatures.
Some odd thought crossed through her mind making her want to walk. She slipped off her shoes, took her necklace off, emptied her pockets, and placed it all in the hollowed area she was in not too long ago. Then, she began to walk.
The sound of the ground as she stepped, and the feel of the mud between her toes made her chuckle. She felt like such a little kid. Not too far from where she was, she heard a whining sound. She grew curious and ventured closer to it. Her eyes widened as she saw a normal child sized lican caught in an old bear trap. Her face grew serious as she walked over.
The child only growled, swiped, and snapped at her. She reached out and pried the metal jaws apart from eachother. The child quickly ran off into the distance. Being her careless self, she didn't pay attention as the jaws suddenly snapped shut when she let go. It had fallen over and was clamped onto her ankle. She fell over as she yelped from the sudden pain. Her yelp didn't sound human, it sounded more animal than anything. Then again, things of that nature never sounded human when coming from her.
A growl came from her as she glared at the old contraption. She reached down and pried it open once more. She carefully released it after getting her ankle out. She then stood up and put equal pressure on both feet. She inhaled sharply at how much it hurt just standing on it. She balled her hands into fists adn began to walk with a slight limp back to the hollow tree. She really wished that no creatures would be able to smell her blood. Then again, she never really was lucky. - ↚ - ↛ -- ↚ - ↛ -- ↚ - ↛ -- ↚ - ↛ - She's a rebel Vigilante. Missing link on the brink of Destruction.
