Alex blushed lightly from his comment. When he was picked up he put his arms around the other’s neck to keep himself up. “I will try to walk tomorrow. I’m sorry that you always got to carry me. Why do I have to be watched over still? It’s just sore muscles, right?” He asked getting curious. He thought that was the only thing wrong with him. What if it wasn’t?
Smells from the kitchen made the boy’s mouth water. The thought of food made his stomach growl. “I see that. Wow this looks great.” A smile appeared on his face as he looked at both vampires. “Thanks for dinner and for taking care of me.” He said before looking over the meal Mr. Chase laid out in front of him. It was soup the perfect thing after a warm bath.
He didn’t have to be told twice to eat. He picked up his spoon getting only a little. He tasted it feeling the warmth fill him again. “It doesn’t just look good it tastes good too.” He exclaimed happily as he continued to eat more. The teen noticed a can of Arizona Green Tea in front of him. That was his favorite drink that he could only have once in awhile.
Alex found it a little unnerving that the two ate in such silence. He was making noise, how couldn’t he? He had table manners since his mother would always scold him if he ate like a pig. It wasn’t like he ever planned to either. He liked eating neatly.
The teen’s eyebrow raised in question when Mr. Chase took a drink out of the bottle. “If you don’t like it why do you drink it again? Nothing else that is better?” He had wondered how they made that synthetic blood stuff. ‘Wouldn’t the maker want to create something in place of blood? Something that doesn’t torture the customers?’ He wasn’t sure why he was thinking about that. He wasn’t the one drinking the awful stuff. Though he was starting to care about Mr. Chase and Emelia a lot. That could be why. He ate a dumpling smiling at the taste, it made him happy to his toes.

Victor laughed dryly and picked up the bottle. "They half assed this ******** s**t." Victor grumbled as he picked up the bottle and looked at it with disgust. "Victor!' Emelia gasped and touched the man's arm. 'Watch your language... little pictures." The male vampire just stared at her. "He's not a baby." He said and rolled his eyes. It always made any older generation vampire grumpy drinking the synthetics. "This is the closest they can get to blood anyways or so they say. They don't want to spend anymore money making it better for us." He said as he picked up the bottle and set it back down. They went quiet again. Victor finished his meal then Emelia. She stood and picked up their dishes washing them. Victor turned to Alex. "You need to stay here because of several reasons. One, I need to keep an eye on you. Sometimes, very rarely about one in a billion chance that you may turn into a vampire. BUT it's highly doubtful. Two because of the hunters. They have their ways of finding people. So... it's best that you stay for the rest of the week." Victor said and sighed softly. It was Thursday so it shouldn't be long. He felt that he needed to go out. He wanted fresh blood... from the neck. After drinking Alex's... it sparked something in him, something that has been tamed for many years. Blood lust. The man became restless. He wanted to bite into flesh, to feel the pulse against his tongue to have the blood rush into his mouth and have the thick warm liquid fill up his mouth. Victor's mouth became dry. He quickly grabbed the bottle and drank the rest. It wasn't working. Standing, Victor calmly excused himself and found the small boxes taking five in hopes that it would work. He had to wait a few minutes for them to work. They kicked in. Victor sighed softly and sunk slowly to the floor where he sighed again. It wasn't that the synthetics weren't working... it's just that he began to think about it more and more and had gotten carried away.

Alex sat there a bit surprised at Mr. Chase’s language. He never acted like that in class. He laughed softly when Emelia warned the older vampire. “It’s all right Emelia. I’m in high school I hear worse every day.” He liked that Emelia was concerned about him. It was like she was his sister or something like that. He ate another dumpling as he listened to Mr. Chase explanation, though it sounded like venting.
“So they are being cheapskates and lazy bums. I think someone should step up. Then again I have no idea what I’m talking about.” He muttered the last getting back to his meal. He felt like he wanted to help, but didn’t know how. It was their problem and at some point in the future it will get solved. He played around with the rest of his food not sure if he wanted to eat the rest.
The teen picked his head up so that he was showing he was paying attention and not lost in thought. His eyes grew wide with fear and shock. He could turn into a vampire?! So many thoughts were rushing through his head at once. He believed in the highly doubtful part, but there was still a chance. Now the thing about hunters, that was just a creepy thought. “Oh…um..wow. I understand I think.” He put his spoon down in his bowl.
He hoped he wasn’t one of those rare ones that would turn into a vampire. He wouldn’t know what he would do if that happened. He was a little afraid that the scale would change and he would change. ‘No I must think positive!’ He yelled at himself. He shakily got to his feet. His muscles protested, but he wanted to do his fair share. He took his bowl slowly over to the sink and placed it down. He leaned against the counter for support once he got rid of the bowl.
Alex turned watching Mr. Chase leave the room. He seemed rather in a hurry. “Are you all right Mr…” He paused for a second. ‘Maybe I could call him Victor?’ He blushed lightly at that idea. “Are you all right Mr. Chase?” He finished what he started to say.

"Yeah I'm fine." He said as he walked back into the kitchen. He had to keep his mind off of biting... that's all. It shouldn't be too hard right? "Here Vickie, trash." Emelia teased as she handed Victor the trash bag. The man glared at her and spun around, making sure that the bottom of the bag hit the back of Emilia's head... which it did. She gasped and spun around, Victor was out of the house by then. He had tossed the bag out and walked into garage. He opened the door to Alex's car and began to gather his things out to take them back in. It'd give the teen something to do. As he walked out of the garage, it began to suddenly pour. Victor stuck the teen's things up his shirt and hurry inside. Nothing got wet thankfully. The man set the things down onto the table and walked back into the kitchen. "Watch this." Emelia whispered to Alex before Victor walked in. And when he did, a handful of whipped cream met the man's face. Victor stopped dead in his tracks. His hands came up and wiped off as much as he can. "You're really going to start this?" Victor asked then quickly threw what he hand in his hands at her and ran forward grabbing the container throwing more at her. Emelia picked Alex up and took him to the fridge where she opened it to block what Victor was throwing at him. "You take the can." She said and handed him the can of compressed whipped cream. She grabbed another container and ran out throwing it at Victor.

“Oh ok.” Alex played with the end of his shirt. He wondered if he was telling the truth, but he wouldn’t ask. He bit his lip to keep from laughing. It was rather amusing that Emelia called him Vickie. Then he retorted with hitting her in the back of the head with the trash. The two vampires reminded him of a brother and sister. They sure acted like ones. “Just missed him Emelia.” He laughed softly leaning against the counter. He couldn’t hold it.
The boy raised one of his eyebrows as his face looked confused. ‘Watch what?’ Well he watched and was met with a surprise. His eyes grew wide and his hand covered his mouth. He was hiding his smile and to contain his laughter. “Oh my..” He murmured against his hand. The man looked liked death woke up as he wiped the whipped cream off. It was a slow careful movement. When he started to throw more out of the container, Alex moved to make sure he wasn’t near Emelia.
That didn’t work out well since she picked him up. He was puzzled as to why she brought him to the fridge. ‘Oh a shield.’ He thought as no whip cream got on him. He held the can as if it were a bomb. ‘I just got in the middle of a war.’ He smiled to himself and peeked around the fridge. He squirted some whip cream in his hand then threw it at Mr. Chase. He wasn’t aiming just throwing. If he ever got close he would just shoot the whip cream in his face. If that would work.

Emelia had gone out and the two vampires were covered in it. Victor reached over the top of the fridge and dumped the rest onto Alex's head laughing. It ended with the three of them and the kitchen covered in whipped cream. Victor was leaning against the edge of the counter licking the cream off his hands and scooping it off his face to lick it off his hands. Emelia on the other hand was still laughing as she scraped the cream out of her now fallen curls. "Well,' Victor began as he pushed globs of it off his shirt and looked at Emelia. 'you have quite a cleaning job a head of you." He said with a serious face as turned and walked out of the kitchen, leaving her in shock. She stared after Victor and started to cuss him out in Russian. Victor was in the bathroom, removing his clothes after starting a hot bath and climbing in. His skin was sticky with all the whipped cream that had dried on him. He was scrubbing his body until he was sure that there wouldn't be anymore stickiness left. He was back out and downstairs in just a pair of fitted black pants. his brows hair was dry and soft. He opened the kitchen door and scanned the room with his green eyes, seeing Emelia trying to reach a spot that was on the ceiling. "Lemme get that." He said as he took over. "Now you go take a bath." He said to her as he cleaned the ceiling with the mop, very carefully.

Alex had run out as well and was shaking the can to see if there was any more in it. He flinched when whip cream was dumped on him. “Victor!” He yelled wiping it from his eyes. There were globs of it on the floor around him as cleaned himself. He noticed that the entire kitchen was covered. It was like a snow covered room. If snow was a bunch of clumps of sticky sweet white stuff. He soon learned that if he licked some of the whip cream off of him it made the cleaning easier even though he was sticky afterwards.
At the sound of Victor’s voice he looked up. He thought that he was talking about him cleaning up the mess. Then he realized that it was directed toward Emelia. He felt bad for her since it was a pretty big mess to take care of. Apparently she felt the same way seeing how she was speaking in Russian. It sounded angry too. He got up slowly and felt like taking a bath himself, but the only bathroom he knew of was Mr. Chase’s.
He helped Emelia as much as he could. He cleaned the floor since it was the easiest for him. He grabbed as many paper towels as he could. A couple of them were wet and he knelt down cleaning. Alex looked up hearing Mr. Chase’s voice. Why is he always being caught by his voice? His cheeks grew red seeing what he was wearing. He was able to see his teacher without his shirt on and his hair looked so soft. He bit his lip as he sat back against the closed fridge. Whip cream was still all over him, but most of it dried so he was all sticky.
He shook his head tossing the paper towels he used in the trash sitting there. ‘We got it on the ceiling? That’s just crazy.’ He thought to himself. “That was a lot of fun. We sure made a mess, but I think it was worth it.” Alex said looking over at Mr. Chase. “You did have fun right? I mean you seemed like it.”

"Of course." Victor's voice was smooth and low. He smiled over at Alex. He set the mop down then wet a clean kitchen towel. "Come here." He said as he ringed out the water. Once Alex was close enough, Victor began to clean Alex's face gently. He held Alex's chin in one cold hand while the other continued to clean his face. He rubbed it across his cheek and looked into Alex's eyes. He didn't realize what he was doing, he was just... staring. "Oh... what's going on here?" Came Emelia's teasing voice. Victor quickly looked away from Alex's face and slowly lowered his hand. "I was cleaning his face." Victor said calmly and turned on his naked heels to the sink to rinse out the towel. "Did you want another bath Alex?" He asked with his broad back to the teen who now was behind him. "I'll go get him washed up." Emelia said before Alex could answer. She swept him out of the room, making sure to stick by so Alex couldn't fall. Once out of ear shot, she looked to the teen who's elbow she held in one of her small cold hands. "Sooo...' She began, an evil glint in both her eyes as she looked on at Alex. 'what was all that about? He was staring pretty intently at you." She cackled menacingly. "What do you think about Victor?" She asked with the same glint in her eyes.

Alex smiled and had to admit his cheeks turned a light shade of red. Like he was saying before he was caught by this man’s voice. He sighed to help calm his body so that the red in his cheeks disappeared. He stepped away from the fridge though a bit hesitant at first. The boy took the few steps he needed to get to Mr. Chase. “Yes?” He asked before the towel went over his face. Shivers went up his spine when the man’s cold touch held his chin. There was a question on the tip of his tongue as they looked into each other’s eyes. He was caught and couldn’t break away not to mention he didn’t want to.
Once he heard a feminine voice his cheeks reddened. He rubbed his cheeks to get rid of any excess water and to help get rid of the red. ‘How can he still be calm when teased?’ Alex thought wishing he could. Emelia must have so much fun teasing him, but must get frustrated if he doesn’t give a reaction. ‘I am still sticky..’ He thought to himself and opened his mouth to answer, but was swept away by Emelia.
Alex went with her since he well was forced too. He was glad she was so close or else he would’ve taken a fall to the carpet. His elbow was in her hands and that was cold too. ‘Is it because they are vampires that they are so cold?’ He looked at her when she started to speak and saw the evil glint. He hadn’t a clue what was going on in her head. “Nothing happened! He was just cleaning my face like he said.” That light red came to his cheeks once again. “Well…I think he’s a great guy and everything.” That was the simplest way he could put it. There were words he could use, but he wasn’t sure if he should.

"Nothing you saw or heard happened. Victor and I share the same Sire... I can hear some of his thoughts, and what I heard, well..." She laughed and turned her head from Alex as she led him into Victor's bathroom. "Is that all? You seem to turn mighty red around him." She teased one more time before opening the door. "Do you want another bath? Or just another clean up?" She asked as she walked in and looked behind her at Alex. Emelia found joy in teasing, obviously almost like a hobby. She had nothing else better to do, so she teased. Victor sighed once the two were gone. He turned back around, his back facing the door which the two had left through. He stared down into the sink, completely confused. He didn't like these thoughts, he didn't like feeling confused, lost and hopeless. He'd have to focus on something else to keep his mind from wandering and letting loose. Victor turned on his heels and headed out of the kitchen. He grabbed his lap top from his room quickly and brought it back downstairs. Sitting on the couch, and setting it on his lap, he began to quickly type in names on a search engine. He was looking for his sire. He remembered stumbling upon him on a website, but he couldn't remember the name of it, most likely because he was mad at his sire at the time. But now he needed to talk to him. Victor typed quickly until he finally found it and requested a web cam chat. Victor was actually glad to see his sire. His hair was once red, but the man had died parts black, his face was like delicate porcelain, a long scar running from the left side of his chin down to his collar bone. Victor couldn't see if from the web cam bu he knew it was there. And the man had the brightest golden eyes. "Victor? Is that you?" The man asked as he slowly smiled, making his fledgling smile back. "Yeah it is... long time no see huh?" He asked as he pulled his brown hair from his face. Victor was his sire's first fledgling, so they had a great bond.

‘Sire? Like a boss or creator?’ “What did you hear?” Alex asked in curiosity. He did want to know what Mr. Chase was thinking about him, at least even a little. He was confused around him. His cheeks stayed their red color. “Well anyone would turn red when there is a man like that without a shirt and looking at you with those eyes..” He mumbled. A shake of the head and he got a tad calmer. “No need for a bath, so just a cleanup.” That would take the less amount of time and he wasn’t all that dirty.
A cloth taken from the closet had soap and water added to it. He used the cloth to clean his face and arms, not to mention everywhere else. He even ran it through his hair a bit. Since he was sure some of the whip cream got in his brown locks. “Emelia, what’s a Sire? Is that like a creator?” He wanted the silence to be filled with words and not just the sound of water.

Emelia laughed and shook her head. "Sorry, Victor and I agreed not to repeated what we hear in each other's heads." She laughed again then stopped. "What do you mean by 'those eyes'?" She asked with a wide smile on her lips. She loved humans, they kept her entertained and excited. She didn't know much about the new age humans, so what Alex was saying was always a delight to her. She turned around, giving him space. "A sire? Well... yes a creator. You see all vampires branch down from the first vampire. Father Fang." She said and turned around once she knew Alex was done. "Victor is Father Fang's first fledgling, or son if you will. So those two have a very strong connection, and Victor is quite the powerful man. Father Fang didn't allow him to make a vampire until he thought he was ready. He still doesn't think Victor is ready." She laughed at Victor's dismay. "All done?" Emelia asked as she walked towards the door.

“Aw..that’s too bad. I really wanted to know too.” Alex pouted some as he washed his cheeks. He was rather curious to what went on in Mr. Chase’s mind. Speaking of his cheeks they turned red again, but were covered by the towel. “Nothing I didn’t mean anything by that.” He tried to cover up what he had said before. He saw that smile on her face and knew that if he said anything else he would soon regret it. He felt like he wasn’t an only child. It was like Emelia was his older sister or something like that. He thought that since she was taking such a great joy in teasing him.
‘Father Fang? That sure fits the head vampire.’ He wiped down his face and neck then put the towel on the sink. He was much better than before since all of the stickiness was washed away. “First born so to speak. That’s a little different to hear about, but I think I get it.” Alex nodded understanding. He figured that Victor..er Mr. Chase was a powerful man. He had experienced it more than once. “He isn’t ready to make a vampire? Why does Father Fang think that?” He asked a big confused. “Yup all clean again.”

"It's all about limits. He was challenged with his limit the night he was attacked, and he failed because the desire for blood became too strong, which is why he went after you. One who can take their limits goes on as if nothing happens. The higher you are up in your generation, like the first ten have the hardest time with their limits." She said then led Alex out of the bathroom into Victor's room. She tugged off the shirt Alex was wearing and grabbed one of Victor's button up shirts and put it on him. It was the black button up shirt he wore on his first day to school. "There!" She said as she clapped her hands. "All better!" She couldn't help but to start laughing. "You look like you've just got done having sex with him! Wearing his shirt and standing in his room like this!" She laughed and messed Alex's hair, leading him downstairs. "Who are you talking to?!" She shouted from the last step and hopped over, shoving Victor back to look at the computer. "FATHER FANG!" She said with a wide smile and waved like a maniac. The man on the screen laughed. The quality of the web cam he was using was amazing, everything was so clear. "Hello Emelia." He smiled, his voice caring an Italian accent. Father Fang was a beautiful man, with a scar down his left eye. "Where are you right now?" Emelia asked as she settled herself in Victor's lap and blocked the way. The man laughed again. "England, visiting it. Very lovely this time of year." He said, then frowned. "Who's that?" He asked. Alex was in the very corner of the shot, Victor's computer angled enough to where he was in the camera view.

Alex touched his neck lightly remembering. “I understand the last part, but the whole thing about limits I don’t really get.” Maybe when he had another session with Emelia he could learn more. Or possibly he could talk with Mr. Chase. He blushed lightly when she took his shirt off. “My shirt wasn’t that dirty.” He whined at her. The black shirt seemed familiar, not to mention a bit big for the teen. He rolled the sleeves up so he could use his hands.
The boy looked at the female vampire confused when she started to laugh. His face instantly went to the color of a lobster. “Emelia!! Stop saying things like that.” He was pouting and thoroughly embarrassed. He couldn’t believe she said something like that and he really wished he had his own shirt on. What will Victor think when he saw him like this? He went with her downstairs working on making his face turn back to its original color.
His ears were pierced by Emelia’s cry to Father Fang. ‘That was unexpected to say the least.’ Alex thought walking down the last of the steps. It was getting easier for him to walk though still a bit difficult. That voice of Father Fang’s was really wonderful. He didn’t want to seem like he was spying on the conversation so he was just going to head into the kitchen. Then he froze knowing that he was the only other person in the room. Now he felt nervous for some reason. Alex walked to the couch standing behind it. “Um..Hi sir. I’m Alex and I’m a friend of Victor and Emelia.” He wasn’t sure what to say to this beautiful man.
