Zentos tried to think of other exercises that weren't the norm to condition his dexterity. Any unorthodox methods would probably suit him quite well, and if it utilized his lightning chakra that would be even better. He was trying to think of something new and unusual, when the idea came to him to try and reflect his lightning off of some conductor back at him, and then try to dodge it as it flew back at him. Looking around him, all he could see until the end of the cave on each side were rocks and small pools of water. He tried thinking of something useful to do with that, but in the end he decided to use the water. He placed one foot in a decently sized pool and got ready for his made up exercise. He would shoot a bolt of lightning into the water, making it shock him because his foot was immersed in the conductor. To avoid being shocked, he would have to get his foot out of the water at the perfect time, not too early, and not too late. If it was too early, then the point of this exercise would be moot, because there would be no negative consequence and no positive benefit. To decide when was the best time to take his foot out, Zentos decided to only move it when he felt the tingle that came with electricity. On his first try, this proved harder than he could have ever imagined. He had blinked and almost missed it! The end result was the feeling of pins and needles in his legs. Trying one more time, he got his foot out just in time, as he felt the tingling in his toes, but he shook his foot loose out of the minor shocking trap. Making good progress, Zentos though that this would do for the next few attempts, at least until he got bored and wanted to do something else.

Zentos knew that he just had to keep trying. Running out of fun ideas to try out, he just kept doing the lightning conduction with his foot in the water. It wasn't until his next try that he got shocked again. It seemed that he was destined to succeed just as many times as he failed. Seeing if this was the case, he tried again and, to his surprise, he got his foot out right as he felt the tingles. Chuckling to himself, this was almost fun. The tingling sensation felt somewhat good, along with the soothing temperature of the mini-hot spring that his foot was in. Sighing, he felt like a huge loner training his dexterity like this alone in the cave. Taking his foot out of the water, he decided to work a little bit on his acrobatic skills, doing some flips might make for some exciting training.

A little rusty on his flipping skills, he tried to first start with a simple backflip. Thinking of that Kirigakure genin that had so easily done flips at the far away ranch, he tried to imitate him. Sadly, his relative size compared to the kid meant that the technique they used would be drastically different. Hitting his knees on the ground, Zentos shuddered as a wave of pain went over him. Gritting his teeth, he got up immediately and went right back at it..unadvisedly. With the same result, Zentos crashed on his hands first this time, and it didn't hurt as badly as before, but he was still in quite a bit of pain. Sighing, he determined that he would have to do something much more simple. He set his goal on a handstand that lasted for a few minutes. After that he would move on to more difficult things such as flips.

Getting right back up from his repeated backflip attempts, he ignored the pain in his wrists, knees, and shins and went straight into a handstand. Almost immediately, he lost his balance and fell on his side. Grunting in effort, he got back up and tried it again. With the same result, his wrists gave out yet again. Deciding not to be rash, he took a 30 second breather and tried again. This time, he held the handstand for a solid two minutes. Satisfied, he dropped back to his feet and planned his next move. From handstand, the next logical step in training would probably be.. walking during a handstand. Sighing, Zentos knew that this was barely any progress at all, but he knew that it was absolutely necessary. Baby steps were needed to get to the end goal, which would be perfect flips and balance. His precision would be at an uncanny level. This was what he had to tell himself, otherwise he would lose all motivation to train. He knew that this one set of training probably wouldn't affect him at all, and would only keep his dexterity up, and not decrease it. Oh well, it didn't really matter that much anyway. All he needed was to find something to do to kill some time and maybe get some training done at the same time. Completely content to keep working hard for almost no gain, Zentos prepared for another set of handstands.

Finally decently rested and confident and motivated to do his training, Zentos was ready to finish his training. Going into what would be his best handstand of the day, he ran into it and jumped. Holding his position perfectly, he started to advance forward, grabbing at the ground in front of him every few seconds. He got a solid 100 feet within five minutes. At least there was some kind of progress made, Zentos was happy with what he had accomplished in this past hour or two. Feeling content, he went back to his laying down daze to determine what he would train next. He kind of felt like continuing this dexterity training but he wasn't so sure, what would best help him? He wanted to be a balanced fighter, but he just didn't know what to do sometimes.

With nothing better to do, Zentos found himself wandering back into the main cave to do some more training. It was sometime around noon, one or two hours after, and he had yet to have lunch. With his stomach growling, he promised himself that he would go out and find something to eat after he practiced a little more. Throwing his arms out in front of him, he succeeded in attempting a walking handstand a few feet, and dropped back down to his feet now that he was confident in his abilities to do so. Wanting to make a little progress, he wanted to try another backflip. As he stared up forty five degrees at the cave ceiling, he pictured his success. Mentally confident, he jumped up and let his body just roll back. Landing on his feet in a clean landing, he jumped up and whooped with joy.

After his most recent success, Zentos decided to start a streak of victory. He wanted to be able to consistently land his flips, so he prepared to do another. He felt his leg muscles tighten and contract, and as he bent down to jump up, he knew that he was good. He landed better than before and immediately went into his second flip. This time, it was a little shakier because the muscles in his legs were getting tired, but he still successfully pulled it off. From the looks of it, he was getting better after every training session that he had done. Now trying to think of something better to do, he wondered what the next step in progress would be after backflips.

Trying to think of something fun to do, Zentos ended up deciding on the opposite of backflips; fronflips. He had always figured that flipping forward was scarier and harder, because of the increased risk to his head. He was practically diving headfirst into the ground. Trying to overcome this fear, he started with a front handspring to see if he could work his way up. Going off without a hitch, the handspring landed normally, although he was leaning somewhat to the left side... no matter, Zentos was now confident enough to start doing frontflips. Figuring that he didn't have any experience and that he should probably start off easy, he walked about fifty feet away from his current location and used a running start. At a predetermined point he had seen before, he jumped into the air and clasped his hands together, rolling his body forward. Landing on the tips of his toes, he stuck the landing and ended the exercise with a somersault. Now that he could flip, he would have to work on other flexibility issues.

Debating whether he should go back to yoga forms or not, Zentos figured that he had no other choice. He had exhausted all acrobatic ideas, and he had succeeded for the majority of them, so he wanted to keep getting better at something, if not dexterity. Working his flexibility, he started convoluting his body into an intense yoga position, and holding it there for as long as he could. When he couldn't take it any longer, he went into the lotus position and meditated for what seemed like the longest time, but then from that position, put his head on the ground, and moved from headstand to headstand; his legs still criss crossed in the lotus position.

Still in his tangled handstand, Zentos started walking along the area that he was sitting around, and attempted to navigate his way all the way around the perimeter without falling. At first, it seemed as if he was going to succeed in taking an entire lap, but around three fourths of the way through, he simply collapsed and he fell down; out of breath and starting to get extremely sore. Determined, he got up to try it again.

Jumping straight into it, Zentos was a little too anxious to get his training over with. His overconfidence cost him as his wrists gave out on him right as the weight of his entire body fell down onto them. He ended up on his side rolling on the floor, massaging his wrists until the sore pain ached itself away. Ready to try again, Zentos stood up.

After his anxiety had passed, he calmly started his handstand, and walked around the circular clearing where he had been training. Now, this attempt was more successful than the last, and he was happy to say that he could now do flips and handstands decently regularly, that is to say, a majority of the time that he attempted them. Happy with his progress, he sat down to decide what to do next, as his wrists ached and his muscles screamed for rest.

Zentos got back up from sitting position to think about what to do next. He had trained his endurance, his agility, and even his brain to think logically and absorb more information. Now, he thought that it was probably a good time to learn a jutsu. He knew that his chakra limit was extremely small as of right now, so he shouldn't be trying to learn ninjutsu, and genjutsu was totally out of the question. He decided on a move of Taijutsu that he had heard of from other students in Iwagakure. It was called Senpu. He tried to picture what his fellow classmates had done all those years ago, and tried imitating it. He jumped up and tried doing it, and landed on his feet perfectly fine. He thought that it was a bit simple, and decided to drill it out more.

The technique involved him jumping up and using his legs as weapons as he struck an opponent with a high kick and then a low kick. In the event that the high kick was avoided, the low kick would then strike. Thinking it a relatively easy concept, he used a running start and propelled himself into the air, launching his legs after his body in a succession of kicks. Feeling quite confident, he thought that he was making splendid progress.

He thought that using a running start was a pretty good idea, but he needed to start learning how to judge distances better, because he needed to be able to do this technique at a moments notice, and there might be times that he didn't have a running start. First, he tried from an upright position. Simply standing still, he pushed himself off the ground and then practiced kicking. Successful in this endeavor, he was trying to think of other positions that he could practice from.
