I had noticed those logos. Are they for anything in particular? I've been shooting them as I come across them, but haven't noticed anything extra happening.

Each faction has five insignias per level, 25 per faction. If you pick up all of them, you unlock a character for online play and escalation modes. Shoot all the Autobot insignias and earn the female seeker Slipstream, shoot all the Decepticon insignias and earn Arcee. 3nodding

I picked up the strategy guide with the game, and use it to help acquire all the trophies I can easily . . . and love the homages in them. Squash 100 cyberspiders and earn a BlachArachnia trophy, speed through a tunnel as an autobot jet on one level and get a Powerglide Proficiency trophy, save a space slug from a destroyer Con and earn the "Slugfest" trophy, As the Decepticons if you trick Omega to destroying all the cover in the last level earn the "Devastator" trophy . . . . it goes on, I'm sure. xd

Ah. That must be for a different system, because on the PC you only have to complete a campaign to unlock the Slipstream/ Arcee characters. There is also nothing mentioned about unlocking trophies... Slag it, it would have given me more to do, as I'm speeding through the levels. crying
Thanks for the info, though. 3nodding

I have officially beaten the game now, and have to say the following: Trypticon was slagging HARD!!! Immediately after finishing, I jumped through a few hoops to load Shockwave into my PS3 from the preorder, and begin the game again. This time I am going for trophies, though not many are left. Many will go unattained since I do not care for online gaming. Still, bits including the "Beak Breaker" where you shoot Laserbeak three times in the prison level from hiding points, or the "Lucky Day" when you destroy all but one Bot prisoners in the first level of the game are nice.

Powered through or not, this game is highly enjoyable. X-Play gave it a 4/5 stars, and I can respect that score. The Con campaign is a bit dull, and repetitive. The Autobot campaign more than makes up for it though.

Yes, I am a true Transformers fan. What makes a 'true fan' of a subject? Simple. A fan will gloss over any faults of the subject matter, ignoring problems and insisting that the object of fandom is superb and perfect. A true fan will accept those flaws and plod on anyway, loving the subject. In accordance with accepting those flaws, I support this game.

Is it perfect? No, and if you remove the nostalgia bit, then the game is revealed for what it is, a common third-person cover-based shooter. Still, the Autobot campaign makes well up for that lack with varied environments, good cameos, and enough to make me smile and replay again and again.

Case in point? I love the game, and still enjoy Yahtzee's review of the game. His reviews are notorious for being rude, vulgar, and negative. But they do make me smile, and in this he bashes Shia LeBouf, so that is an added bonus.

OMG, it's FINALLY OUT!! I want it so bad for either PS3 or Wii!!

Does anyone have a preferance on which is better? Oh, i watched the trailer at the end. That's Tripticon, the dinosaur city like Metroplex is for the Autobots.

sweatdrop A bit slow to the party . . .

I enjoy the PS3 version, and would have serious concerns for the Wii version due to lower power in the console. Then again, the PC version is hackable . . . ninja

A little late to the party but I got it off Steam for about $7. Aside from the bad voice acting, I think it's probably the best TF game I've personally played. Still going through the Decepticon campaign at the moment but it's like playing a lesser Gears of War game (no cover mechanic unless there is and I just haven't figured it out yet) but instead of characters that are super "Bro" you get Transformers where transforming is actually useful for cover, maneuverability, and even a 3rd weapon choice.

I'm not normally in to shooters, be it first person or even 3rd, but much easier for me to play shooters on a PC than using a controller on a console, so this was definitely the right choice for me. For about $7 if you have steam, I highly recommend it!

I was also curious to if this game's story follows a TF series or if it's just only for this game. So far I like it's plot with (Spoilers in White) Cyberton getting corrupted with dark energon and it's core needing to shut down so it gives a piece of itself to Optimus (the all spark) and they must leave Cybertron.

...and now for my 3rd post in a row sweatdrop ... They have announced they're making a sequel to this game. I am happy for it. I like Transformer games that don't actually suck.
