As she waited for Gin to further instruct her, because there was no way she'd even think of touching a sharp sharp knife without instruction, she stood there silently. Her heart, though it had slowed from her embarrassment in front of Dolci and Yuuki, still pounded -- but in an excited sort of way. She was alone again with Gin! It was what she wanted and little fluttering butterflies were bouncing around inside her gut.
Until..
The loud crackle, followed by what sounded like an entire chorus wind chimes clanging in a hefty breeze, startled her. She let out a shrill whinny and whirled around, ready to go bolting, but when she turned about-face her eyes settled on the source of the sounds.
"Seraphim..." What is he doing here...? Though her eyes were wide, she peered at him evenly when he addressed her by... type, rather than by name. "Why do you have all th-those..."
So many! The orbs undulating and jingling behind the winged pony was, admittedly, a little off-putting. But Isabel knew what those were, Dolci and Yuuki had had five of them, after all...

"Oh hey." he grinned at the Wedding Cake, giving her and her company a once over, "So I was bored and made a bunch of orbs." he began absently, blue eyes drifting towards the orbs he spoke of.
"Stop it." he whispered to a particular orb, though it was anybody's guess which one.
He turned his attention back to Isabel, "So I was bored," he starts again, keeping his eyes focused on her as best he can, despite the choir of orbs trying to garner his attention, "And these are yours."
He beckons with his muzzle and three orbs float front and centre, "You can have one if you want."

"Mine?"
Isabel's head tilted to the side, inching further and further until it was almost perpendicular to her neck. Her eyes were now focused on the orbs, ignoring her mass of curls and adornments as they fell over the side of her muzzle, watching so intently as Seraphim nudged three in particular to the forefront.
"Mine?" she repeated, her voice more strained than the first time. But how could that be? She was bewildered, looking between each one of the orbs as if Seraphim had kicked her rather than brought her a gift!
"B-but, these can't be mine..." Were they really? She was stunned, and rightfully so, but curious as well. The step she took couldn't have brought her more than half a foot closer to Seraphim, or the orbs, but the front of her leg just barely brushed the shimmering red-starred orb in the middle.
When the chiming globe didn't edge away, and rather moved marginally closer to her, Isabel practically shrieked. Her breathing went heavy and her eyes took a wild look to them in the time it took for it all to register... but once it registered, she then promptly fainted.

So engrossed in the process of baking, Gin had his back turned for but a moment and when he turned around he saw Isabel on the ground, three colorful bouncing orbs, and Seraphim.
"Oh..hey Seraphim!" Wait, he thought to himself for a moment...........Seraphim?!? "Seraphim?!?!?! .. Isabel!!"
He trotted over quickly to lower himself down onto all fours, ducking his head down to nudge Isabel gently with the tip of his muzzle, mumbling quietly. "What happened? Isabel! Wake up..!"
The orbs began floating closer to Isabel, one bumping into him gently and he went wide eyed, jumping slightly because it startled him. "What is going on Seraphim??"

"Hey... ..." he paused, "uh... Dessert." Okay. So Seraphim didn't remember the creation of every pony he's ever made, but honestly? It was hundreds! Who would?!
"Well I told her she has orbs." he glanced to a corner, seeming to think about it as if it were a long-ago memory, "And she fainted." he refocused his eyes on the ponies before him and closed the distance, 'fanning' Isabel with one of his large wings.

Isabel laid on the floor of Dolci's warm kitchen like an overly decorated lump. She was very still, with only a confused look plastered across her brow and muzzle -- perplexed by the situation even if she was out cold!
It took a moment of Seraphim's fanning for the dessert to stir, making a guttural sort of noise at the back of her throat as she finally came to.
Both eyes blinked open and once she saw the large pink wing to one side and the familiar red of Gin's muzzle to the other, she shot upright. Not standing, but laying alert, as if she didn't quite trust her legs to support her.
She peered at the orbs and her head started again with it's too-far-to-one-side tilting, and then she spoke. So quietly, it probably hid the quivering that threatened to crack her voice, but her eyes stayed focused on the one orb in the middle.. shimmering there in white, red and gold.
"I'm sorry, Gin..." Orbs, to Isabel, were not supposed to work this way! Then, to Seraphim, "If they are really mine, I'll keep one."

Gin felt a little dizzy and very confused. What had happened? What was happening?! One minute him and Isabel and were getting ready to bake a pie and then Seraphim and orbs.. Isabel's orbs.
A little hurt, he ducked his head down to let his hair fall in front of his face, he sat motionless and just listened to both of the other ponies as they spoke. The orbs certainly had nothing to do with him, Seraphim would have said so, but who? She wanted to keep one?
Of course she did, they were hers after all..
Gin stood up carefully, taking a deep breath in through his nose before he mumbled quietly. "I'll give you two a minute alone, I need to go outside and get some air.." And with that he made his way to the front door carefully, stepping outside into the pasture.

That thought... hadn't even occurred to Isabel. While the one orb she felt drawn to the most had red stars, the other two were more muted in color. Gold and silvery white, these colors were not so fitting to match with Gin...
Isabel hadn't even thought to ask which other pony had.. had... fathered (or other-mothered?!) the orbs. Perhaps, somewhere, she'd assumed they were Gin's. But Seraphim would have addressed Gin too, wouldn't he, if these three glittering orbs were his as well?
Watching Gin as he moved away, and she inwardly screamed inside her head for him not to go, Isabel carefully worked underneath her adornments to stand. She looked just as hurt, but still confused, and spoke further to Seraphim -- trying to amend her previous statement.
"Wait, wh-who else.." How to put this delicately... "...who else's orbs are they?" And more importantly... "...do I have to keep them all? I... Gin, he's.. h-hurt, I think.."

He remained silent as Gin walked away, glittering eyes admiring his creation- so Seraphim was a bit of a narcissist, sue him.
He glanced back at the Wedding Cake- Isabel- when she started to speak, "Uh..." he thought for a moment, genuinely unsure. "It was..." his wings fold against his sides and he meets Isabel's unsteady gaze, "Arle...something? He's a clown pony. Back when I was listening to that music..." he shrugs, "Look. If you really don't want one you don't have to take one. I mean, it's not like I warned you or anything. And if your Dessert is hurt-" here he chuckles at the rhyme- "then maybe it's a bad idea." he gives Isabel a meaningful look, suddenly quite serious, "I don't like my orbs being hurt."

Listening outside, Gin kicked his front hooves against the grass absently. Everything had been turned upside down in a matter of minutes but in the end it didn't change the way he felt about everything, and especially about Isabel.
He took a deep breath and waited for Seraphim to stop speaking before entering the room again, staring at them both.
"Isabel would never hurt an orb, nor would I. If there was any pony that would make a beautiful mother, it would be her and we will take care of that orb no matter what." He nodded once, pushing himself up to stand straight.
"Though I've only known Isabel for a short time, I can already tell that I want to be by her side for the rest of my life, nothing will change that!"
He tilted his head, looking over at Isabel before offering a wide smile.

If Isabel thought she was overwhelmed before...
...she was overwhelmed times a hundred thousand now!
She'd been mulling over what Seraphim said to her, trying to figure out just what she felt about the orbs. Did she want to keep them all? Or just one? Did she even want the one? Yes, she did. No, she didn't. What about Gin? Would Gin go away if she kept an orb? Would she keep an orb regardless of how Gin felt about it? Yes, she would. No, she wouldn't. Yes, she woul--...
So when Gin stomped back in, and not only voiced that he had faith in her, but that he... he.....
"Oh, Gin..." Isabel couldn't hold it in any longer. A few thick, hot tears dripped down from her eyes, dotting her white muzzle with wet. They were both happy and sad tears all rolled up into one, and it took her another moment to speak.
"I'll k-keep one," she said again to Seraphim, her own watery eyes staring back at the winged pony. Her gaze was strong, filled with determination that was there now thanks to Gin's encouraging words. "P-please? I would love to keep one. Th-the clown, he will take care of one, too?"
Then she shifted her gaze, looking at Gin as best she could through the tears rimming her eyes. "Nothing will change that," she repeated, though perhaps she was questioning him a little with it as well. Isabel had never opened up to another pony the way she felt she could with Gin, her attachment to him was clear. It sent several thrilled jolts through her rose-covered body at the notion he felt the same way.

Arching a... brow? Seraphim shrugs again and nods. Oh, so little words.
"Yeah, he'll keep one."
He peers back and forth between the two Dessert ponies- really why did groups always gravitate towards each other, he wondered. Something he'd have to look into. But for now...
"So you two. Were you intending to have your own orbs? I mean, other than that one."

Gin went wide eyed for a moment, staring back and forth between Isabel and Seraphim. Orbs of his own? He hadn't really thought about that, at least not yet..
Though he could see why Seraphim would come to that conclusion after what he just said. He cleared his throat, a little lost for words at first and then he looked at Isabel again, speaking quietly.
"I would like to... have orbs with Isabel, yes."
He nodded slowly, breathing evenly through his nose to keep himself calm.

More orbs? Isabel's head was spinning, leaving her feeling as if she might just crumple to the floor and faint a second time.
How did things change so quickly? One moment she was recuperating from embarrassment over Dolci and Yuuki, and the next she had a batch of orbs that were half her own. And a moment after that, Seraphim was offering to bless her and Gin as well?!
But this, all of this, was something Isabel felt she was born for. She was created from a wedding cake, after all.... if there was another creature made by Seraphim more fitting for orblings and lifemating and all that goes with it, Isabel was unsure of who else it could be. It was bordering on too much at once, but it filled her with warmth regardless... something she'd wished for was actually happening, when she thought she'd simply be alone. How could she come to care about another pony when she was too shy to speak to them?
But Gin was different, he'd brought out her personality while ignoring the invisible walls she'd built up. And her decorated head bobbed in agreement once Gin spoke, he gaze casting over towards him through her light blonde curls.
"Yes, with Gin," was all she could say, but she hoped it was enough.

"Oh, well good luck with that!"
He laughs and makes his loud, extravagant exit without another word.
...
Some moments later a single, shining orb appears between Isabel and Gin with an audible "pop."
Seraphim's voice rings from nowhere and everywhere all at once, "Just kidding!" he chuckles and the orb bursts, sending millions of sparkles flying in the room, curling around and landing on the two ponies with a soft chiming noise.
