One dark eyebrow shot up at Autumn's use of 'darling', but Jasper merely repeated her gesture by shrugging. He dropped his head to better whisper his reply:
"27 is a bit old for you, I'm afraid." He straightened back up properly, giving her a long sideways glance. "How old are you Miss Autumn? I hope I won't have to kick you out for being underage."

Autumn laughed hysterically for a moment, gently pressing her hand against Japser's chest as she did so. Smiling she pushed back her infamous strand of hair and nodded. "Don't you know it's rude to ask a lady how old she is", she said applying gloss to her lips. "Besides, it doesn't look like you're on the clock", she added becoming more amused by Jasper's company.

Jasper instantly brightened at her slyness, glad to finally have someone who valued some mystery.
"For now I will let that slip since I am, in fact, not yet on the clock." His left wrist produced itself so that his right hand could push back the sleeve to glance at the watch hidden beneath. "But if I am needed at the bar, you will have to accompany me so that you don't get into any trouble. I won't let you drink either." His smile remained as he readjusted his sleeve and looked at her.

"What makes you think I'd want to accompany you at all?", she asked. Autumn revealed her silver flask to Jasper once more and shook it. Smiling she shrugged, "I never needed your drinks", she insisted taking another swig from it. Autumn giggled, lifting Jasper's arm to read his watch. "When does your shift start anyhow?", she asked.

Jasper rolled his eyes, knowing he should have been aware of that to begin with.
"My shift starts whenever my boss tells me it does. The current bartender might not show up. He's notorious for disappearing randomly." He let his wrist dangle in her hand before leaning closer to look into her eyes. "You're not drunk already, are you?" He rose an eyebrow at her, studying her a bit.

Autumn laughed rolling her eyes, "Under estimating me so soon?", she asked. Autumn patted Jasper's wrist and shook her head. "Exactly how old do you think I am?", she asked curious of what this man thought of her.

Jasper squared his shoulders, concentrating on her face and trying to properly guess her age. He wasn't very good at this at all, always thinking everyone either vastly older or vastly younger than they really were.
"Hhhmm. Let's see... 18? 19?" He scrunched his nose, then had to fix his glasses, before giving a slight nod.

Autumn didn't bother to correct him, she liked Jasper and didn't want him to make his judgments based solely on how old she was. "So you think I'm a youngin' eh?", she asked the man. Autumn tucked her glow sticks away as she shook her head. Returning her attention back to Jasper, Autumn smirked "I like your hat", she said changing the subject.

There was a moment when Jasper wanted to argue the point, since she never confirmed if he was right or wrong, but he let it slip by and continued on.
"Thank you. Is the candle still lit?" His eyes shot upward as if to view the candle, but he knew full well he wouldn't be able to see it. "Do you always dress as such?" He asked, motioning to her current outfit.

Autumn nodded, pleased to see that the gentleman's candle was indeed still lit. "Yeah, it's still lit", she said. Autumn looked down at her neon lime skirt and orange netted stockings. Frowning, she shook her head, "Depends on if I'm in the mood", she said. "Not most days though, no." Autumn hid behind her long black hair as she secretly admired Jasper. "Do you normally have to relight your candle?", she asked thinking on what scent it must've had.

"Only when I put it on. Its magicked anyways, so its not like it goes out often. I was just checking." He gave her a rather fond smile before turning his gaze out onto the various dancers in the club. "Do you wish you dressed as your currently are more often? Or do you feel more comfortable in something else?"

Autumn shrugged, "I'm normally comfortable in whatever I wear. Its not like it's itchy or like I have something to be ashamed of", she explained. Autumn tugged at one of her bracelets as she thought for a moment, why is he so curious about my outfit, she wondered. "Are you comfortable wearing your attire", she asked gesturing towards his hat once more.

Jasper raised an eyebrow for a moment, recrossing his legs as his other foot was dangerously close to falling asleep.
"I would never dream of wearing anything else. I have spent far too long turning the person I am on the inside out into the world to simply let it go and not be totally comfortable wearing what I currently am." He smiled kindly at the young girl, shifting in his seat as the couch grew uncomfortable.

"So your outfit will explain to me who you are", she said examining him further. Autumn grinned, standing after a few moments. "Come on, I'll treat you to a drink", she said offering the man her hand as she gestured towards the bar.

Jasper cracked a smile. "Yes, exactly." He stood up with her, though his eyebrows furrowed momentarily. Was it wise to drink on the job?
"I will only allow you to bribe me with one drink." He replied as serious as possible before giving her a warm smile and heading toward the bar.
