Just another normal day in the Cloud Village. The children running around playing in the park, their laughter ringing through the area. The academy students practicing and training hard in order to finally graduate and be ordained as shinobis of the village. The chuunins coming in and out of the village performing their missions, some delivering documents, others simply gathered intel. The jounins were speaking amongst debating on who tortures their genins the most while the genins all debate on who have the most cynical teacher. The saanins...well...you can never find them around, they're always roaming around the world not doing anything. Sometimes they pick a student to take with them, but it doens't happen often.

Her...well as a chuunin she just got back from performing a mission in Mist. She was sent there to investigate and gather intel on their new Mizukage. Making her way up to the Raikage's office, she couldn't help but feel like something was wrong...a bad urkling in the pits of her stomach. Knocking on the door, the Raikage allowed her entrance to his office."Ah...Kairi...I believe you have a report on the Mist Village?" Hiro asked as he rose from his desk. The newly appointed Raikage...the most powerful of the Cloud shinobis, was always worrying over his village. To the point where he doesn't trust any of the other villages or their intentions. Kairi walked up to him and handed her report.

It would seem that while I was there, the Mizukage was reluctant to speak with me. His attention was somewhere else, and the moment he saw my headband he became distant. All the shinobis in their village were preparing for something. The Mizukage claims that they were just running drills, but in my opinion I think they were getting ready for war

This is what the report stated...and since Kairi couldn't speak, she always had to write everything down as opposed to actually speak. As Hiro was about to speak, the foundation of the Raikage's tower literally shook. As both Hiro and Kairi turned towards the window, an expression of horror overtook their faces. With widened eyes, Kairi and Hiro saw dozens of explosions erupting from different parts of the village. The alarms began to ring throughout the entire village as the explosions continue to ensued. The village was under attack...but by who? "Kairi...get down there and ensure that the village is safe. Command your oinins to strike! Hiro commanded as he dissapeared in a bolt of lightning after performing a single seal. Kairi nodded and without performing a seal, dematerialized into a burst of mist and scattered to the winds.

Kairi materialized at the hot springs of Kumo. She had gone to the oinin headquarters and ordered the oinins to gather the villagers and lead them to the hot springs. Why the hot springs? Because what most didn't know is that there was a secret tunnel beneath the springs used to shelter the shinobis. Who would think that there was an underground tunnel system beneath such a relaxing attraction? As Kairi arrived to see her Oinin's progress several jounin ranked shinobis wearing anbu masks materialized from a spray of mist. Kairi removed the patch in her eye immediatly as her oinins stood at her side. As her sharingan's gaze pierced at the several jounins, she began analyzing the situation. Her and her oinins are currently between several jounins, who could overpower them, and the citizens of Kumo. Kairi placed her arm out in front of her oinins to prevent them from moving.

Kairi pointed back, signaling to the oinins to help the citizens of Kumo escape into the tunnels. Meanwhile, she'll buy some time to fight against the jounins. As her oinins followed her orders without questioning, the jounins couldn't help but laugh. To think that a little chuunin could match their power was ridiculous. But Kairi wasn't just an ordinary chuunin. She may have the strongest defense in all of kumogakure. As she closed her eyes, Kairi went deep inside of her, deep inside of her conciousness.

"HEY! SANBI! Are you awake!?" Kairi called out into the darkness. Suddenly, a single giant and turtle like eye opened in the darkness. A giant roar echoed through her mind as Kairi's hair was blown back. "I guess that's a yes... she sighed. As she stood before the gates that held back the giant three tailed demon, she took a step closer to try and reason with this beast. And beast was an understatement...speaking with the sanbi was simply impossible and frustrating at times. He was a complete tank...and a dumb one at that. "Listen...I'm in a bit of a jam...and I need your help. So will you lend me your chakra? Please! she asked it in a sweet and innocent tone. The Sanbi growled once more...as if not wanting to help Kairi out."Do you not get it? If I die, you die, now if you can get that through that thick turtle shell of yours...you'l help me out and give me your stupid chakra! Kairi argued. After what seemed like eternity, a sudden surge of chakra rushed out of the gate and unto Kairi.

As the anbu jounins began flashing through seals, Kairi's eyes suddenly burst open, a two bright turtle like eyes peering at the seals. It was techniques she recognized...it was the water steam jutsu. As the jounins inhaled and took a deep breath, they spat out a jet of steam that would burn Kairi's skin off. Kairi too flashed through several seals with both hand as she then held her hands out in front of her. The jets of steam slammed into Kairi as she was suddenly covered by steam.

As the jounins began moving forward, the steam was suddenly dispersed by a huge surge of chakra. The jounins stared in awe as they saw the cause...Kairi. She was still standing, and she seemed completely fine. A large bubble had surrounded Kairi and defended her from their attacks. As she placed her hands down, she didn't move forward to the attack. That was not her goal...she was there to defend against the jounins, and with the Sanbi's chakra flowing through her, her speed would surely be reduced. As the jounins charged at her at top speeds, Kairi braced herself for their attack. Flashing through her seals with both her hands, a dense mist poured out of her entire body, embracing the oncoming jounins. The mist enshrouded the entire area, and those outside of it wouldn't be able to see a thing.

Suddenly, from the insides of the Mist, one could hear the blood curling screams of several men. As the sounds of katanas being unsheathed and slashing through the wind, Kairi followed their movements as she could see through her own Mist. They were scared...terrified. Whatever was attacking them in their minds were their worse nightmare. Her mission was completed...she had helped the villagers make their escape into the tunnels below. Lifting up her hand, the water from the hot springs began rising and hovering in the air. With her power...with her power...

A full moon faintly illuminated the night sky, blanketing the ocean below in its soft silver light. The clouds seemed to hug the heavenly body enthusiastically as the twinkle of the stars. The waves gently rocked the small sailboat upon which the Kirigakure shinobi slept. His short spiky black hair was pushed back by his headband, he stirred as he felt the drop of water land on his cheek, it traversed his face rolling down to his chin. As the drops became mroe frequent and rain exploded form the heavens Kisame was awakened. He yawned as he set up, slowly rising to his feet. He adjusted the large cleaver sword on his back. Unknown to the jounin, several metal sembon tore through the air and the falling raindrops. The sound of their released drowned in the growing roar of the intensifying waves. The metal clanked against Kisame's sword and the back of his neck, this being accreditted to the hard skin perk that came with being the host of the Sanbi. Turning to face the direction of the disturbance a seering pain shot throught the jounin's back. his body was propelled overboard, skipping atop the water's surface violently before he came to a skidding stop atop the waves through chakra control. His assailant stood now several feet away, each ascending and descending atop the waves.

"I found you..." Lightning tore from the skies down into the ocean. The aquatic nighttime battlefield temporarily became bright allowing for a quick scan of the attacker. The scan showed a black cloak, on the cloak were red clouds. Kisame's expressionless face hid his deep shock. "Akatsuki" His eyes widened with the sudden realization that member's of the group usually travelled in groups of two. The water stirred beneath his feet and the fist and top half of the second shinobi tore through the surface. Kisame leaped to avoid the attack, and the fingers of his assailant grasped his ankles drawing him underwater. The topside ninja began to form multiple seals, however he was interrupted by a violent explosion from the dark depths below. Water exploded forth blasting him backward, while he remained in the air a look of sudden fear came across his face as the water below him rose to impale his back breaking his horizontal flight pattern and sending him upward vertically. Kisame watched his target and formed several handselas as the attacker began to descend. As the body of the akatsuki ninja slammed against the water, the blunt force and pain rendered his body almost useless. Kisame began to inhale the water beneath him, in the process the pwoerful current created drew the bodies of both injured akatsuki ninja toward his position. He then proceeded to fire large bullets of pure water into the ocean, the bodies of the helpless ninja were on top one another and as the attacks fell they were virtually crushed under the blatant pressure of the jutsu. Kisame raised his rigth arm, his fingers were spread as he manipulated the water drawing the bodies of the ninja to the surface. As their heads broke the surface he ceased to draw up and merely held them there as he witdhrew the large sword with his left hand.

"Each of you can hear this...you're not dead yet. Your target was Kisame Myko, Jinchuuriki of the Mist." The blade swung cleanly tearing through the flesh and bone of the shinobi beheading them in the process. Lightning flashed in the background as the ninja's bodies were left to wander the ocean. "It wasn't very wise to attack me in the water." As yet anotehr flash of lightning illuminated the sky he got a second glimpse at the faces of the two dead men. They were not the same akatsuki members from before but members from his own village who had recently gone missing. "How? Akira...and Taiki!" A single tear ran down his cheek produced from his right eye and hidden against the many raindrops. "The Akatsuki have a new trick." his voice was solemn and his thoughts wandered as he returned to his boat, continuing his voyage back into Kirigakure.
