Bursting out of the door to the break room, Dr. Chen's round rather grumpy face emerged as he picked up a chart from the nurses station. As he read over it and signed a few things, he began to sniff the air. That's when he turned around, his eyes turning to slits with annoyance. Walking over to him with the two girls, he sighed as he plucked the open bottle from his hands, putting it on a platter of medications a passing by nurse was taking elsewhere. "You really need to stop drinking on the job and clean yourself up. You look pitiful." Shaking his head, his eyes fell on Freya. "You must be Freya. Unfortunately I'm too busy to train two of you at once, so I asked them to put someone else on the job of training the other girl." Sideways glancing at Dr. Lothar he muttered, "Unfortunately, I did not realize the drunk they would send down to do the job." Although Dr. Chen detested Dr. Lothar's smell and overall appearance, he was indeed a good med-nin. If anything, he and Chen who were in the academy together and remained....somewhat good friends, were equal in ability. Motioning to Freya with a sigh, he walked over to a washing station muttering, "Wash your hands thoroughly and put on a mask. No need to contract anything while you're here." He glanced at Dr. Lothar once more shaking his head. "You need to WASH YOUR HANDS IDIOT! Don't teach this kids your bad habits, lord knows we don't need another one of you running around."

Doctor Lothar turned his head suddenly, ready to make a move for his precious whiskey, until he saw that it was Dr. Chen and began grinning like a madman. When they had been in the academy together He and Chen had always been the star students, but Chen was always the responsible one, which led to his promotion to head doctor. Doctor Lothar didnt mind though, he was content with his job and thought his friend deserved the position more than he did. Of course, friend or not, he didnt like to be yelled at, so he put on his best serious face (it was very unconvincing) and said, "Well I was gonna teach them that next, Dr. You should pull yourself together." He said jokingly.

As Tsuki came back to him, he had to admit he was suprised that she could trace medical ailments that quickly. "Heh, well, looks like you passed. Alright tomato head, I'll teach you. Brownie will stay with Dr. Chen, I guess. But dont worry, we'll have way more fun than them....hic!" He said merrily as they strode out of the room towards another room down the hall. Just before getting to the entrance, Doctor Lothar stopped Tsuki and turned to her. "You know, what Dr. Chen said about handwashing is important, but you wont always have the luxury of soap and water in the field. Before we startworking again, you need to clean yourself." Making a single handseal, Doctor Lothar said "Kiyomaru" as his hands began to glow with a brown, almost Lager colored Chakra. he moved his hands along his arms and across his face as if washing himself with a washcloth, even pausing to clean his breath. The jutsu removed various impurities from Doctor Lothar, making him much more sober and a lot more professional looking. "That is the cleansing technique. You will need to use it in the field before ever looking at a patient, alright? It could mean the difference between saving a life and infection of a wound."

Kiyomaru (Cleanse)
Description: It is not always possible for a medical nin to practice basic hand washing and other procedures. This technique has the effect of instantly removing bacteria, dirt, blood, and other contaminants from the user’s hands, lower arms, and face. It also insures that any breath that comes from the user’s body will be free of any bacteria or infectious disease. This technique can also be used to clean the wounds of others in order to prevent infection from bacteria. It the event that the medical nin is using this technique to prevent infection of an injury that has been inflicted upon them, it is used as if the shinobi were using it on somebody else.

Oh thank GOD Freya thought to herself in relief when Dr. Chen said he was going to train her, and then blushed when she realized she thought something bad about the crazy doctor, as if he could read her thoughts, and then paled when she realized he was crazy because he probably could. She hurried after Dr. Chen, before he decided to attack her, or worse, Tsuki attacked him. She nodded, moving her hands to the sink and began to wash her hands, thoroughly. She jumped when Dr. Chen screamed at Lothar, "I'm sorry," she said automatically, and then blushed when she realized he wasn't talking to her. She dried her hands, and put on a surgical mask, before looking at him, "Uhm... I'm done... sir..."

With a stern, now sober look still on his face, Doctor Lothar wasted no time in instruction for the next jutsu, still standing outside the doors to the main infirmary. "Theres one other thing you should do. Many of the people you will see have diseases, possibly contractable ones, and nothing is worse or more Ironic than a sick medical ninja. With this jutsu, you use your chakra to create a barrier against poisons trying to enter your body, kinda like Pepto Bismol. Here, let me show you." Doctor Lothar then whipped through a lengthy set of handseals before saying "Teikouryoku!" His entire body seemed to emanate a brown, lager colored glow as his chakra formed a seal around his skin and internal organs, protecting him from poison and viruses within the air. He then stood there and looked down expectantly, waiting for the girl to mimic him.

Teikouryoku (Power of Resistance)
Description: A medical nin must always be aware of becoming a victim of whatever their patient is suffering from. With this technique a medical nin temporarily increases their resistance to diseases and poisons. It has no effect on diseases or poisons already affecting the medical nin. This technique improves as the medical nin grows in power and affords greater resistance to a wider range of diseases and poisons.

Freya gently took his hand and shook it, blushing madly as she did so. She backed away from him to observe him as he did the jutsu, cocking her head to the side and walking around him to look at him at all angles before she pulled her hands into the jutsu and practiced the moves he had shown her. She finally put chakra behind the handseals, "Teikouryoku," she said quietly. He hazel chakra began to shine on her skin. She felt a tingling inside her, before it became warm like she had just downed a bowl of hot ramen. She pulled her hands away and looked at Dr. Chen and quietly asked, "Is this good?"

Tsuki followed Dr. Loco to the Bio-Support, wondering what was with the change of scenery. Her upbeat mood seemed to shirk bit from the mention of not being able to save everyone, though she knew it was true. When Dr. Lothar made the reach to unloug the man, Tsuki's initial reaction was to shout and take a step forward."Wait don't! She almost immediately retracted her hand when Lothar was sustaining the man. Her heart had pretty much skipped a beat, and did so again when he let go and stepped aside. Tsuki moved forward, pained by the old mans expression as Lothar did this. "Don't worry Sir, I'll take care of it!" Her hands were already glowing green after the seal she created, and were placed on the mans chest and stomach. His scared expression changed to one of piece and contentness as she watched him, feeling her chara regulating his body. "Aya! What if something went wrong Lothar eh?" She shook her head and continued, passing the 2 minute mark.

Doctor Lothar continued to watch the girl pour medical chakra into the old man, marveled that he was showing no signs of discomfort. After Tsuki had passed her two minute mark, Doctor Lothar readministered his own chakra into the man with one hand, while at the same time hooking him back up to the machine. As they exited the room Lothar spoke. "If something HAD gone wrong, well, then you would have failed your training as a medic, ehh tomato?" he said as he put a now empty bottle of guinness in the trash can and pulled out another from nowhere. As the two entered yet another room, they were graced by the sight of a mist genin lying on his stomach, a senbob protruding out the side of his calf. "Alright Tsuki, you see whats wrong here. Now your job is to remove that senbon without hurting that kid further. Now in order to do this, you gotta put a hand on either side of the wound, then use your chakra to loosen his muscles, and slide the senbon out without harming him any further. Try it out." Doctor Lothar said as he took another swig of his beer and held the now panicking boy in his place.

Tekishutsu (Extraction)
Description: When a patient’s body has a foreign object in it, such as the point of a shuriken, a senbon needle, or an arrow, it is important to remove the object without further harming the patient. Using this technique the medical nin places their hands on either side of the injured area and uses chakra to very carefully manipulate the surrounding tissues in order to remove the object without causing any further damage. Depending on the severity of the wound and nature of the object, it can take anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes to remove it.
