Shinon yawned as he feathered a mouthe doog, a bonewalker, and a covenant at the same time. Weird creatures, same as the laguz, filth that is not needed in the world. Shinon retreated back a bit to get out of the range of the undead. He scanned the area for more but most of them were preoccupied with the others.

Rei deftly slipped through the gap he'd made in the monstrous horde. The rest of his group was more than fast enough to make it through the opening, so he wasn't worried about them. Plus, they all had melee weapons, so they could always just hack through things until they get to the other side. And if they got damaged, then they'd be healed, simple as that.
Rei looked back behind him, in slight awe at the battle that was unfolding. There were more than enough people staying outside, so they'd be able to handle a batch of simple monsters. Just as Rei was about to burst into a run to close the small gap between himself and the others, a shadow began to loom over him. Well, many shadows. But it looked like only one.
The ring of Obsidian Gargoyles began to close their ring, and descend. Rei's legs froze up as he saw the group begin to gather, and his hand reflexively reached for his Fenrir tome once more. The mass began to hurtle towards him, and the Druid threw open the tome. The words on the page began to glow a deep violet light as a runed symbol appeared in the space under the tome.
Please, let this work...
Rei discharged the energy in a single casting of Fenrir. Multiple small flames shot forth from the ball of energy as it dispelled, and each began to swirl around the Druid in a different path. With a mental cue, Rei caused the spell to turn to its actual form, that of many massive fireballs. As the flames expanded, they continued their rotations around the boy, giving him a temporary shield to the onslaught of the gargoyles. As the creatures began to collide with the flames, they began to burn once more. All Rei could do was hope that his allies would come to his rescue in some capacity. After all, if he decided to try and run, then he would likely run right into the descending spears, or maybe even into his own barrier! And that wouldn't help his health at all, for sure.

I've been dreaming for so long... ... To find a meaning, to understand... • ◄AKIHI► • ————————————
Akihi could not just sit around and let Rei get attacked by all of those... things. He recognized that it was rare for a spell-caster to have strong defenses; with all those various weapons that those obsidian creatures held in their hands, it would be unlikely that the druid could even survive a single assault. And he's one of the ones Alihi wanted to go in the tower... The mage recalled, flipping open Elfire and holding it carefully in his left hand. He's the only one with the ability to heal... if either of the people in there are hurt... Akihi gulped; his course of action was obvious.
He had to divert the gargoyles' attention long enough for the druid to catch up with the rest of his group. Well, here it goes...! He took a deep, calming breath before staring down at the page he opened to, murmuring softly to himself. A flaring, red warmth surrounded his hand as a small fireball began to form in the palm of his hand. It grew steadily in size with each word he said, stopping once it was around the size of a basketball.
Taking another deep breath, he extended his hand outwards. The fireball he had created soared through the air, heading straight for the group of gargoyles.
———————————————— The secret of life... ... Why am I here to try again?

The gargoyles circled into the barrier of dark flames and each let loose a distinctive shriek. Some fell to the sand, writhing, while others flapped their wings in a strategic retreat and dispersed from their converging point. A few even stopped to help their brothers to their feet.
However, such assistance did not last long. Just as a few were shakily helped up, they were promptly thrown back down by Akihi's fireball, screaming and howling. One Spawn, blinded with fury, hefted his serrated axe and charged on his own two cloven feet toward Akihi with ungodly speed. The others did not make an immediate retaliation. They were either off licking their wounds, stumbling around uncertainly, or dead.
The squad of Magvellian monsters were dying out swiftly. Bones and decay hit the sands and piled up, cluttering the battlefield with more unpleasant obstacles to pass over.
Cerberus's three heads roared angrily and the beast stopped to stamp in his indignation. While he seemed to have more sympathy for his own brethren than for the Magvellian demons, his rage did not relent to anyone or anything, and his right head snapped down on the neck of a nearby Spawn and cracked its vertebrae between strong jaws.
Why was this taking so long!?
While the Magvellian monsters fell mindlessly, one by one, and the Spawn all still holding back for some reason or other, Cerberus began to charge the group with his great bulk, the unfortunate gargoyle still swinging from the jaws of his right head.

The paladin continued to slice her enemies with her blade. It won't be long until her Silver sword broke. Thank St. Elimine that she had carried more than one weapon to fight.
After she beheaded the revenant's head, she heard an angry roar. Isadora looked around to see what made that noise.
It was that monstrous beast that announced that they would be dinner and he was charging at them. Isadora widened her eyes. They had to stop this monster immediately.
Isadora turned her horse around and charged at Cerebus as if she was in the jousting tournament. She held her shield in front while leveling her sword to her neck level. As she was near the beast, she quickly swung her blade on the left head. She wasn't sure did she strike the beast's left head. However, her sword broke when she landed the blow on the head.
Isadora continued to gallop before she turned her horse around. She then pulled out her spear from Tuomas' side and looked back at the beast. It would take more than one person to stop the beast.
"My comrades! I need of assistant!" Isadora shouted before she galloped toward Cerebus again. How long could she manage to defeat the beast? She was unsure. However, she would not give up so easily. They had a mission to accomplish and she would not let the three-headed beast to delay them.

xxxxx"If you're worried about surviving, xxxxxxxyou can worry about it after you're dead!" "The wyvern riders of Bern sit atop the heap of all other forces on the continent!" xxxxx "You will see our power soon!" So, the over sized puppy decided to come out to play, hm? Perfect.
Vaida flew around, and began to fly back toward the beast. She saw that it had decided to take on others of the group instead, though. This upset her. As she turned, she saw that a few of her soldiers had found themselves face to face with the beast, and now were trying to fend it off. However, they stood no chance, and were easily put to rest by the three-headed monster. Vaida growled, her mind in a rage. "How dare you attack my men, when you should be facing me!!"
With a roar that was followed by a slash of her spear, Vaida sent out a surge of dark power toward Cerberus, but made sure that it would hit the ground in front of it, thus knocking up a large amount of sand to block the beast's vision. She then unleashed another blast of dark power, to fling through the sand barrier and hopefully hit her target. However, this was not enough to ensure any sort of accomplishment, and it certainly did not satisfy the wyvern lord's rage.
After Vaida had unleashed her attacks, she whipped Umbriel's reigns and dashed toward the beast with tremendous wyvern speed. As she approached, she took the sword from the side of her mount, outstretched it. The sand made it hard to see where exactly she was going to hit, but the sand also indicated that the beast was there, and that was all that mattered. Vaida was soon upon the creature and dashed passed it, slicing a part of the creature clean, with her sword.
Elsewhere, Mihira had been flying around, trying to outmaneuver the onslaught of the gargoyles. Mihira lacked physical power, but her speed was faster than normal wyvern units, and was able to avoid many would-be fatal attacks. As one of the enraged monsters came a from from the front, Mihira shrieked, and steered her wyvern to dive suddenly beneath the creature. As she rushed under it, she gripped her spear upward, and used the blade to slice the monster's underside. Normally, that's hard to do with lances, but speed backing her up certainly helped, though it did hurt her wrists, after Mihira emerged from her attack.
As she took a brief moment to catch her breath, after that startling encounter, Mihira looked down, and saw a man in a purple robe standing with an open book in front of him. She recognized him as one of the more soft spoken members of the original group. Mihira then looked ahead of the man and saw a gargoyle coming toward him, and it was fast! An attack from a magic user from reasonable slow, and able to be easily dodged, especially with speed like that monster had. However, Mihira was faster than gargoyles, and new that she had to help somebody, if they were about to be overcome.
Not taking time to think twice, Mihira darted off, toward the mage. She was soon near him, and whizzed passed him. He may have attacked and he may not have had time to, but there was no time to think about it. As the gargoyle made contact with the wyvern rider, Mihira rose her spear, and jabbed it down into the gargoyle's chest. However, the enemy's weapon had also been put to good use, and had lodged itself in her shoulder. Mihira screamed in pain, as she was knocked from her mount, and flung backward, forcing her to let go of her lance.
The enemy gargoyle faltered as well, and plowed into the ground, not too far from the two humans. Mihira's mount quickly flew around, and landed next to its rider. It nudged at her, and sat around her, ready to attack any possible danger that may come near. Mihira was breathing hard, however, and a fair amount of blood was escaping, despite her best attempts to apply pressure. Tears began to drain from her eyes, as all her fears began to stir around in her head. She sniffed, and shut her eyes, as she tried to remove the weapon. The screamed at the pain, and ceased her attempt. Was this it, for her? At least she had been able to save somebody... She looked up into the sky, though her vision was faded and blotted out by tears. "If.. only... I had been brave enough to tell you... ...S-sir Heath..."

A screech of pain split the desert air rising over the tides of battle, causing Joshua to glance behind him. "Aw s**t!" He cursed. As he saw the situation, Druid gone presumably behind a wall of monsters, Women injured and falling off her mount, maybe dead.
He stopped for a moment struck with indecision. Try to get to the girl and the Druid and then...... then what? He had no way of healing her and it would be hell to get to her and back. He surveyed the situation carefully and made his decision when he saw the Druid was much closer to her then he was.
Facing the women he reared back with his sword and threw it with all his might, hopefully the Druid would catch sight of it glinting off the sun and track it progress, although it fell much short of the women it was on such and angle that if the Druid followed its progress he'd notice the women lying on the ground and bleeding out. All Joshua could hope was that the Druid was kind enough to go back into the horde he had come from and help the women.
To make sure he shouted "Back in the horde! That woman tried to help you!"
With that not knowing if his words had carried over the sound of battle Joshua turned back to the daunting tower. Now he was only left with two weapons, Audhulma (which he was reluctant to use) and Jaren's wooden sword (Which he liked the prospect of using even less). He'd have to loot a corpse later, the dead where dead whoever it was wouldn't need it anyway.
In any event Joshua had rolled the dice, what happened next would completely depend on the woman’s luck.
He pressed on catching back up to Ahili and the other two.

Two gargoyles circled above the fallen wyvern rider, laughing to one another and gripping their spears. The wyvern would pose a problem, but not too much of one. It would be easy to avenge their fallen brother, and then they could dine on the flesh of his killer! They chittered to one another in their infernal tongue, and then one arched upward and began to dive with a screech.
A shimmering ball whipped through the air and hit it between the wings, followed by an explosion of pure white light as the beast seemed to collapse upon itself and disappear into nothingness.
Its brother wheeled and spun, flapping hard as it looked for the source of the attack. Its spear fell to the ground next to Mihira, landing on its side in the sand, just within reach, while the gargoyle rubbed its eyes in the aftermath of the bright flash.
A dazzling white wyvern slid out of the darkness, illuminated by the fading ball of light, and with a single swing of his glaive Siegell opened the confused beast from neck to groin and watched it fall to the sand below.
"Glad being lopsided hasn't affected your aim," Siegell called cheerfully to the white-robed woman clinging tightly to his stomach. "Keep clearing a path, Bliss, as soon as these guys give us an entrance we're going for the tower." He leaned forward, snapping his glaive into its slot in the saddle, and he picked up, after a moment's deliberation, the Tomahawk he had taken from Adele some weeks prior. Wonderfully crafted, lightly enchanted to return to the wielder.
He whipped his arm out and watched it sail through the sky, tearing a gash in a mogall's eye and return to his hand. "Excellent. Cover my back, Bliss, I've got some work to do." He delicately reached into a pouch and pulled out a small, glowing glass orb filled with some sort of swirling blue gas. Carefully, he began to use a special adhesive from the pack to begin binding it to the blade of the tomahawk.
Shastah dipped and wove around the combatants on both sides, avoiding strong opponents as best he could. Siegell couldn't afford to be interrupted during this work-- it could be done without the tomahawk, but he'd rather avoid doing it the other way, since it had a good chance of blowing up in his face.

Cerberus's left head let out a yelp and snapped its teeth at Isadora, although it seemed disoriented by the broken blade flying through the air and its jaws closed on nothing.
The beast's commanding head lifted his lip in a look of disgust. His right head flung the carcass of the obsidian gargoyle into Vaida's blast and the beast launched backward, angling his head upward to see where the wyvern rider was at that moment. Another surge of darkness flew down and he leapt back once more, but this one did send a wall of sand flying upward, something that still did not quite daunt the creature.
A charging, ebony wyvern made him rise onto his hind legs a startled reflex, all three heads barking and snarling. The blade passed through his side, opening a wound, the left head yelping again while the right merely widened its eyes in pain. The commanding head showed no reaction except for anger. When he was back on his paws he whirled his great bulk around to face the wyvern and his legs tensed to launch him after the rider, but something made him freeze.
Something made all the monsters freeze.
The few Spawn that remained stared upward toward the balcony of the tower. For a moment, everything distorted ever so slightly, visual outlines undulating and colors warping. To the third eye of those who'd developed such a sense, the auras distributed throughout the battlefield had been whipped up into a storm. Even the Magvellian monsters seemed disoriented as they ceased their mindless attacks and swayed on their feet. What Mogalls were left had to float down to the sand, a few minotaurs swinging their axes at the air in an attempt to kill an invisible enemy.
Cerberus was not disoriented, but the eyes on each head slid toward his wound. Normally blood would be weeping from the gash. But instead, a smoky blackness filtered out of the crevice, seeping into the air and adding to the dizzying atmosphere. The Spawn looked at their own wounds, which were smoking in the same way. They exchanged uneasy glances, unsure now of what to do, unsure if they were to press their attacks.
Cerberus's eyes widened. He rose up once more, punching at the air as his gaping jaws shone with slaver, but only choked gasps and protesting, helpless breaths issued from deep within his throat. The beast toppled onto his side, kicking, writhing, and suddenly all the Spawn did the same, trying to moan but unable to, twisting on their backs, some grabbing at their faces in anguish. The Magvellian demons did no such thing. Instead some swung blindly at the air while others just writhed. Cerberus groaned something into the sand. As if he was calling out to their "Master".
A horrible sound descended upon the battlefield.
Cerberus let out the loudest, bloodcurdling roar of agony, and he burst from the inside. He exploded first from the gut and the rest of his body corroded away after that. The remains filtered upward in masses of smoke, iridescent and of every color imaginable, but dominated by punctuations of angry crimson and hateful black. The obsidian gargoyles each screamed and exploded in the same manner. The Magvellian monsters simply exploded, not knowing their own fates, and the remains of their fallen too drifted into the air but with much more serene elegance.
The blinding mess of radiating smoke churned in the air, seeming to fight even with the unending Night. The edges of the pillar seemed to ripple and the tower's image itself was struggling to stay constant.
The mass surged into the sands as if it was completely solid. The terrible impact thrust up a ring of sand, the aftermath rippling through the desert like a shockwave. A form melded out of the chaos.
From the newly fabricated abomination rose a chorus of pained moans, deep and agonizing, creeping up from the depths of blinded Torment. The iridescent aura cleared into a figure even grater than Cerberus. Twenty times the size of a man, twenty limbs extending from a hairy, muscled body — some jutting out uselessly, twitching, none the same length, some legs longer than others. Only ten seemed to be really functional, but each had the potential of tripping another. Some limbs seemed to be half-formed wings that were crippled and mangled. One massive, obsidian wing thrashed from the creature's left shoulder, flapping but unable to lift the creature on its own.
Ten heads lifted out of the body, a few completely mutilated in appearance, deformed. Like the faces were melting right off. One head wasn't even really a head, just a giant skull with a massive eyeball jutting out, spinning, seeking. One head had two jaws. One had no jaw. One had five ears and two noses, another five or seven eyes.
Three tails. One was an ugly, bulbous thing with a spike sticking out of the tip, vaguely resembling the leg of a Bael.
The tower's final living masterpiece raised all of its heads in another gurgling chorus, begging for its agony to end, drool dripping down and making the sands hiss. Thus rages this devilish design.

Isadora charged at Cerebus, ready to strike with her spear. She had seen Vaida made her strike upon the beast with her sword. Although the paladin knew that Vaida preferred to have one on one battle and disliked having people interfering, this was one of the time that the paladin could not sit idle. They had a mission to do and they had to do so quickly.
But before Isadora could strike, she noticed something wrong. The monsters. They stopped attacking. Isadora pulled the reins to make Tuomas stopped. What was going on? Never would she saw monsters stopped attacking unless their master called them or something bigger was becoming disaster.
Suddenly, she heard a terrible sound. Isadora looked around to see where was that noise come from. Then she saw monsters around her began to explode. Having no time to figure out what happened to the monsters, Isadora covered herself from behind the shield to block out the guts exploding out from the monsters. She could smell the blood stinging through her nose as she felt some of the guts splashed around her. In addition, the sky had started to rain with blood and carcasses into the battlefield. Never would she ever imagined this would happened.
Then she felt the ground moving. Curious of what happened, Isadora lifted her head to see what it was. Her face paled as she widened her eyes. Out from the sand was a monster bigger then Cerebus. Isadora could feel the lump in her throat as she looked at the beast in terrified shock.
"... This will take more time to kill the beast then I think it will take." Isadora gapingly said. She was unsure how they would be able to take down the beast. However, she prayed to St. Elimine to give them the strength to kill the beast. Isadora picked up her spear again and began to charge.

Now I'm stuck here But I don't belong here ~Ninian~It was strange to hear the rumbling voice of a dragon again, and Ninian found that she had missed that sound. it was also a comfort to be able to understand FD's--now Hikaru to her--words.
Staying close to Hikaru, Ninian continued to dance for her allies. It was frightening to be back on the battlefield once more, but as long as she focused on her dances, she could keep the panic at bay.
Everywhere everyone was engaged in their own battles, trying fighting their way through the monster horde. Rei blasted through many of then with a single spell, but there seemed to be no end to them all. Glancing up, Ninian saw the gleam of a white wyvern as it soared through the air.
Is that . . . Siegell? she wondered.
Huh. I didn't figure you for a fighter. Guess you're full of surprises, aren't you?
A slight flush colored her face. She quickly turned to dance for the closest soldier.
And then Vaida attacked what was most likely their leader, injuring the three-headed creature. It cried out, and suddenly, its wounds and the wounds of the other monsters, who had all stopped moving, were emitting black smoke, not dripping blood.
"What?" she gasped, stopping in mid step, her scarf falling around her outstretched arm.
A horrible sound echoed across the battlefield, rising above the sounds of battle. The three headed creature cried out before it exploded from the inside. All of the monsters followed their leader, victims of the same fate. Ninian automatically moved closer to Hikaru, clutching Briseschal, afraid.
The mass of smoke swirled together, the tower itself seeming to blur as if fighting to stay solid. Surging into the sand, the mass of smoke sent out a shock wave caused by its impact. Ninian held on to Hikaru for dear life, not caring if his scales burned her, so long as she did not get flung backwards.
Out of the chaos arose a massive creature, agonizing sounds coming from it. This creature was as big as Hikaru, if not larger. The dancer and ice Dragon had never seen anything like this before in her thousand years. It screamed a painful sound, sending the dancer to her knees and covering her ears in an attempt to block out the sound.
What are we going to do? she thought, staring at the creature in horror. We can not fight that beast and hope to win . . . She frowned. But we must. We have to, for Amara and Blossom. Rising, she tossed Briseschal high in the air, her fingers brushing one of the four rings she wore, Filla's Might. Twirling and catching the scarf, Ninian directed the shining lights at Hikaru, dancing for the dragon.
[[Filla's Might--Attack +10~]] I wanna be where you are Maybe I'm not so far from home

♥ ~ BLISS ~ ♥ It had been a long, long time for Bliss since the rather... interesting adventure in Estarcia. Her life completely changed because of that labyrinth she had decided to go into, in the search for something she could hardly remember; due to some crazy woman, one that she later found out had died, the druid no longer had a left arm. All she had was some sort of stub, one that took a long, long time to get used to. In the few weeks, the druid matured greatly, learning many important lessons on life. She even learned a new spell, one that appeared to look like light magic but really was not! It was an amazing spell, one that she memorized so she could use without having to use the tome as a crutch for the words. With only one arm, it made casting with a book at hand just a tad bit more difficult.
Even with the sudden development and the near-death moment, Bliss remained the same personality-wise. She was still as bright and bubbly as ever, which probably irritated some individuals. However, she didn't care in the slightest; her mind was still focused on her one true love, the one that was probably (no, most definitely!) waiting for her return. It won't be long... She always told herself, a bright smile on her face.
Now, though, she felt farther away than ever. The druid clutched her wyvern-riding companion with one arm, afraid to let go unless completely necessary. It wasn't that she didn't trust Siegell... she just really, really did not want to fall.
Bliss nodded slightly to his request that was pretty much a demand, a smile coming to her face. "Of course~!" She chirped excitedly, releasing her grip on Siegell so she could observe the battlefield easier; while holding on to someone, the best she could do was tilting her head from side to side.
She closed her eyes slightly, focusing her magical energy on the tips of her fingers. At each tip, a bright white, amorphous blob of magic formed, though it quickly solidified into a spherical shape. She brought her right hand up to where her left shoulder would have been, being careful to not bump her hand against Siegell; it wasn't the most pleasant feeling to have magic making contact with a person if they didn't have a decent resistance. Exhaling sharply, she flung her arm outwards, sending the five white dark magic spheres soaring at the monsters.
She would have continued this process if all the monsters didn't spontaneously explode and release some kind of smoke which formed into some kind of... thing. Her face paled and she turned to Siegell. "Uhm... let's avoid that thing, okay~?" She said nervously, vaguely gestured to the new monster; she did not want to look at it again.

Well, FD wouldn’t need to attack that three headed dog-Cerberus thing anymore. Every one of their enemies had exploded along with their leader. Problems all solved - except not. As the smoke dissipated into the sands, a newer, bigger, far more hideous being had emerged from them - quite intimidating in appearance this… thing was.
Facing a single powerful monster instead of a horde of weaker ones had its advantages, though. You could focus all your fire power on it, and, of particular value to FD in this circumstance, you didn’t need to worry as much about defending your allies from stray enemies because there weren’t any. FD could finally go all out on the offense. And just as FD readied himself to go towards the… extra-limbed thing they were facing, Ninian had supported him with one of the rings she and Nils wore. Not a stranger to the powers of the rings, FD turned his head to the side and nodded a thanks to the dancer.
And with that, he rushed himself towards the monster. As he was closing in, FD grounded himself as best he could in sand, digging his claws into the earth and lobbed his head backwards. The flames were building up within him, condensing themselves – there couldn’t be any holding back on this attack. As the buildup climaxed, FD lurched forward and unleashed a very fierce Flametongue on their foe –fanning out well without any sacrifices in potency. The Flametongue was so strong that Fire Dragon ended up pushing himself back a few inches upon firing it.

When we get home, I know we won't be home at all... ... This place we live; it is not where we belong. • ◄AKIHI► • ————————————————
When Akihi saw the gargoyle heading straight at him, only one thought ran through his mind. holyshitholyshitholyshiti'mgoingtodiei'mgoingtodieI'MGOINGTODIEOHSHIT He held Elfire out in front of his body as a shield, bracing his feet for a rather strong impact; his eyes shut tight in fear. With the speed that axe-wielding gargoyle was running at him, Akihi was going to be in for a world of pain.
... That is, if the axe actually hit him. His eyes opened slightly, feeling no pain in his body.
His heart sank and his face paled when he saw the injured wyvern rider laying on the ground, the axe that was meant for him sticking in her shoulder. "... N-no... No, no, no..." He murmured, shaking his head. This couldn't be happening. This couldn't be...
But it was. Mihira had jumped in his path to protect him, and now she was paying the price. The mage knelt by her side, choking back tears as he forced himself to speak. "... Wh-why did you do that...? You... y-you didn't have to do that..." He tilted his head up, hearing two gargoyles from above. His eyes narrowed as he flipped open Elfire; there was no way he was going to let Mihira get hurt after what she had done.
He was about to cast his spell when a bright, magical light engulfed one and the other was sliced cleanly. ... Eh? He flinched visibly as the spear fell close-by; the last thing he wanted was to get damaged now.
Akihi turned back to Mihira, wishing that he had the ability to heal. If he could, he would pull that axe out of her shoulder and take care of her wounds. He had no knowledge on how to properly remove a weapon from a person's body, so he decided to leave it alone. I... don't want to cause her more pain... He sighed quietly; of course, he didn't have a. "... D-don't die... Y-you'll be alright... I... I'll get someone..."
The mage rose to his feet, turning towards the rest of the group. "... W-we need a healer over here...!" He called out loudly, hoping that someone was paying attention.
A loud, inhuman sound distracted Akihi momentarily. He whipped around, his eyes setting on the beast.
The Elfire slipped from his fingers as his eyes widened in shock and terror. "... Wha... What is that thing...?" He knelt by Mihira again, picking up his tome in the process. "D-do you have any healing items with you...? I-I could get them..."
When the being appeared from the smoke of the other monsters, Alihi could not help but stop moving. She stared at it with wide eyes, the color draining from her face; luckily for Abel, Ephraim, and herself, they were behind it. If it was going to attack, it was more likely to go forwards than backwards.
But still. The tactician bit the inside of her cheek. She was hesitant now, especially since some of her group were positioned in front of this creature. To keep moving with just Abel and Ephraim would be even more like abandoning than it already was and stupid; to stay and fight would be even stupider and potentially suicidal.
In a matter of moments, she made her decision. "We... need to press on." She told the two by her, a lump forming in her throat. The idea wasn't settling well, but it was the wisest move to make; she had to hope that the others were truly capable of taking the monster down.
Alihi ran for the tower, not daring to look back. (( Heard from Rei who heard from Soren that Abel, Alihi, and Ephraim are behind the creature~ ))

Another horrible sound, the cataclysmic wail of a hundred voices from ten throats — well, probably less than since there were the heads that didn't have mouths — rising in another symphony of total pain. The beast was completely consumed by the intense Flametongue and it was clear that bits of hair were going up in flames, strips of skin flaking and peeling as the fiery breath rendered the skin more than raw. It was paralyzed, flung back by the sheer force a little farther than the Fire Dragon had been pushed since the beast was not forcing any traction in the sand.
When the monster was done flying back, it picked itself up, each head gurgling or screaming or wailing or even singing and charged the Fire Dragon head on. But the monster simply tripped over itself a few times and tried to make sense of its own motor system. For a moment it stood, the more intelligent heads glancing down at the multiple limbs and groaning, confused as to how to make itself work. One head angrily attacked another head while the others stayed to their own thing.
