"We are all thinking that, Althea." Badassi sighed heavily, but did his best to keep his wits about him. His pale, emerald eyes adjusted to the dimly lit barn and he did his best to see around them. He did not like this place, not one bit.

"And we all know who to thank for it too."
What had her marli meant by that remark?
“Surely you don’t blame Cocklebur for what’s happened here?” she snapped, forgetting her place for a moment, “…nevertheless” she added, her voice calmer in the hope that the last remark might be overlooked; even though she wasn’t about to sit back and let her father be bad mouthed so, “Nevertheless we do need to think of a plan. I think there might still be hope for this raid as long as we all remain level headed and most importantly, alive” she looked around at the three owsla officers, wondering if they would even pay any attention to her.
“This place does appear safe for now...” just as she said this Raven shuddered; suddenly feeling as if they were being watched. She lowered her voice to a whisper, "There is something watching us, I can feel it"

As he witnessed the chain break loose from the house, something in Fledgestone's chest sunk before doing what he felt was a flop, restarting harshly. He hadn't expected this. The buck's jaw hung open in a silent scream. Though one foe was off his tail, now there was another, far more vicious creature right on him. He skid to a halt before running as quickly as his long legs would take him, adrenaline pounding through his veins. A ringing in his ears muffled most of the sounds around him, leaving only the horrid barking. Those horrible shrill howls. His red eyes were wide, paniced as he rounded a corner, still looking for something he could save himself with. His companions were no where to be found, there wasn't anything or anyone he could turn to now.

Once again, the cream coloured doe lifted her head out her rough tunnel to check on things. The loud sheik catching her attention. Oh god was that the dog? Fledgestone??
She could see them from here. And she panicked. Her tunnel was nearly done, though it was rather cramped it could most certainly fit the silver buck if he could just run fast enough. She pounded her foot, hoping to get his attention towards her, praying to god he would see.

Blackthorn bobbed his head, amber eyes tight. He was as angry as Althea, but he kept quiet as the outskirter spoke. Bitting back his responce, knowing the youngster wasn't to know better, he merely sighed heavily. Regardless of her misplaced loyalties, she was under his protection and he'd do his damned best to see them all safe again.
Hraka...
"I agree Althea. We need to hurry too. If we split into two, we can do the two sides here faster.. and still cover each other." He looked to Althea, wondering if she would want to keep Raven close. Suddenly he froze, shifting and peering upwards at the rafters. Nodding at the outskirter's comment he crouched low. "Elil... " The word whispered, more precationary than fact, but what else would be up there? Owl? Deadly. Rats? They could fight off rats but the blasted things were still nasty.. No.. it didn't look good for the raid at all. Though at least they could report to Cocklebur the store they just ran into... for what good that would do them.

Turning to Badassi as the buck spoke, she was grateful for the company of him and Blackthorn. Though with the three of them here it meant that the others outside were probably fairing a good deal poorer. At Raven's outburst the marli nearly knocked her over. Fuming, she had to hold herself back for a long moment before speaking.
"Don't speak what you don't know about, and you'd do best to just shut up Raven. We're in dire circumstances. And of course you feel something watching you, look around with your eyes for Frith's sake. There's all sorts of creatures the man keeps here."
Althea didn't look when Blackthorn spoke, keeping her eyes sweeping over the area. More splitting. Though, they did need to move fast, but Raven would be little help in this sense.
"Yes, working in pairs. But what if things outside get worse? Maybe leave two here at the opening? One looking out and one looking in? Can't do much harm having eyes all around."
Her voice was a little distant though, as she was remembering. She'd seen them before, the cows. Not the horse, though it didn't look too different to her. They weren't threatening, as long as a rabbit didn't get under their hooves. The hay smelled comforting, though she pushed the feeling away, trying to stay focused. There was other flayrah here. Man things were everywhere as well. Her ears twitched. Barn. They were in a barn. She remembered the eyes of the cat that would stare at the hutch rabbits in the barn at night. Would sit and stare. Waiting. Farmers kept cats in these for the mice and rats, but a rabbit would be in just as much trouble.
"Blackthorn. Of all the farm creatures we've seen, what's missing?"

At Althea's words, Badassi's blood ran cold. Something had been missing... Something sinister.
"Oh... Oh dear. Not good at all." His gaze followed Blackthorn's upwards. "Pfeffa... We haven't seen..." The large buck suddenly felt very much alarmed. It was just as dangerous here as it was outside.

Harebell was back in her tunnel before one could say "Frith be praised". That shuddering boom resounded through he dirt like a earthquake, but she was more than lucky it hadn't. With a quick bolt she found herself at th far end of her tunnel hoping Fledge stone had seen the message, and waited there for sounds of him or /anything/ coming down the tunnels.

Nodding to Althea he glanced at the open doors. "Can't hurt. Truly, this is the worst raid I can remember.. we need to stick together or we will be elil-food too." He shivered, unable to entirly block out the havoc going on outside. He was grateful Althea shh'ed the young Raven, he wasn't entirly sure he would be able to keep his own temper if the outskirter started ranting about Cocklebur's greatness like some of the young ones liked to do. Their Captain was up to something, and he had a horrible feeling the chaos outside wasn't entirely unplanned.
Turning back to the female owsla as she addressed him by name, he pulled his attention from the area around them to what she was saying. Amber eyes widened as he realised what she was hinting at. "Pfeffa.." Nodding as Badassi came to the same conclusion, he couldn't help but shrink down, amber eyes staring wide at the ceiling. He wasn't going tharn, but any rabbit knew how deadly a Pfeffa could be. Indeed, he bore the marks of one that had got too close before...
"Alright.. we need to choose now. Stay? Or go back outside."
They were stuck between a dog, and a pfeffa. Not to mention the mad bird and the human outside as well.
Hraka... Bracken-rah was going to be furious...

When the gun fired Althea visibly started. Whatever the others were doing out there, they'd caused quite a stir. This wasn't a raid, this was a massacre. They couldn't go out. They couldn't stay here.
"We need a hiding place. Now. NOW!"
She wasn't going to sit still for much longer. Searching frantically, she tried to think of a plan, and quickly.
"We can't go out, it's more dangerous out there than here, but if we don't do something quickly that thing is going to come down and chew on our ears before we decide what to do!"

Upon hearing the dog and the screech and the gunshot, Cowslip about faced. The rabbit was nearly tharn and was shaking where he stood. Yet something gave him the power to move, though he knew not what it was.
"Fledgestone!"
He called out loudly and shot forward, wanting to aid his companion in some way, shape, or form. Fledgestone was far more tired than he. If he could just snag the dogs attention... Maybe he could lead it away.
"OVER HERE, DOG!" He hollered loudly, hoping to save Fledgestone a few valuable moments.

Raven’s teeth chattered as she held back a harsh response to her marli. There were more important things to worry about now. “Pfeffa!” her voice was still a whisper but very tense, “That is what I think is watching us”, she glanced up at the rafters, catching a slight movement in the shadows, “If we spilt up now, we will make ourselves easier targets”
At the loud bang from outside, Raven jumped, her body trembling as she found it almost impossible to keep calm, “The man is outside, we’re trapped with the Pfeffa! If we hide, we need to hide together!” she glanced around frantically for a hiding place big enough for the four of them.

The dog chased after the likely worn out rabbit, due to being already chased by a crazed turkey. The hound was quickly gaining on Fledgestone, despite the long chain that dragged behind him and made an awful noise as it rattled along the ground and hit things. Snapping his jaws at the grey one, the hound managed to sink his teeth into Fledgestone's soft body. Teeth clamped around his middle, before his body was shaken back and forth then tossed like a rag doll. Death was certain.
However, the noise from another rabbit caught the dog's attention and he turned, tongue hanging from its blood stained maw. Encouraged by his master, the hound bayed and now went after Cowslip.
While the Owsla group continued to discuss what to do... the shadow quietly crept down towards them. A gray tabby then suddenly lept from the shadows to land with claws extended on the little one.

The gunshot startled the dark buck, amber eyes snapping to the door before lifting to the rafters again. He didn't need reminding how dire their situation was. Where could they go that a Pfeffa couldn't?
"Find a small place to hide in! Small and deep!"
Frantic he ran his eyes over the area around them. In the stacked bales? Behind the sacks? There! darting out from behind the spade he shot over to the wall, the board had been chewed back enough that he would be able to squeeze through and slide into the gap behind the boarding. He'd rather face a rat that a pfeffa... Crouching next to the hole he looked back at the rest.
"Raven get in, Badassi, you too." Looking to Althea something flickered acros his face. She was bigger than the rest of them...
No.. he would not leave her out here.. not alone.
(edit smile
Suddenly he saw something moving over the group still by the door..... Oh no..
"PFEFFA!" He yelled, heart stopping as the thing pounced.
