Aspen smiled and kissed Takeko's cheek back. "Well, I uh...James Bond?" He said with a questioned tone to his voice. "I did'nt know it meant costume." He whispered as his cheeks flushed, "At least you like it!"
Aspen lead Takeko out onto the dance floor and pulled her close. "Sorry, I'm late. I wanted to surprise you." That was why he didn't tell her he was coming. He decided that he didn't want to miss a chance to dance with he stunning mate.
"My Mother is Ivy." She then caught a glimpse of her brother, "Aspen is my brother. I didn't grow up with them though. I grew up away from here." She had been here for a while now though, she was getting along much better as well.

Pastela smiled, placing a hand on his chest and gazing up into his eyes. "Am I a good dancer? My brothers tease me about having two left feet...." She giggled a little. "So I appologize if I step on your feet at all.
Seth smiled and gently twirled her a bit before pulling her close and getting into a waltzing position with her. "I can waltz very well, so if you don't mind, I can teach you that...."
Ama grinned to him. "Well, until then, I'm going to grab life by the horns, so to speak. Do you want to dance for reals this time? I promise it's not me running from my dad." She winked at him, giggling.

Theron looks around and shrugs. "I'm Theron, and I doubt there'll be rum at this party. I heard a few unlucky ones got into quite some trouble because of the spiked punch at the luau over the summer. As for the treasure....I'd wait and see if I were you. There's something not-quite-right about this party. Something eerie."

Takeko's light laughter filled the air as she spun across the dance floor with her love. "Doesn't matter if you didn't know, honey. I think that idea works, and I think you look handsome." She smiled warmly, eyes sparkling in the flickering candlelight.
"It's alright," she shook her head to interrupt. "You did surprise me, but I'm glad you could make it afterall. It's been a long time since we've had a nice evening together. Now, how about this international super spy shows me how to tear up the dance floor?" With a playful look, she took Aspen's hand and took a sudden, graceful twirl.

The party was in full swing, Pae'il were snacking and dancing, generally having a great time and enjoying themselves.
Couldn't have that now. Not on Halloween.
Without warning, every light in the mansion was extinguished. The entire building was plunged into pitch blackness; not even the moonlight outside seemed to be able to penetrate the all-encompassing darkness. Any attempts to strike a light seemed supernaturally destined to fail.
Panic set in quickly amongst the party-goers. Someone screamed and amidst the stumbling and bumping about in the dark, someone knocked over one of the decorative urns placed around the edges of the room. The piece fell over, shattering with a tremendous crash. There was so much noise and shoving, the panic setting in due to the surprise was obvious, the chaos predictable.
When the lights flickered back on, the scene of fear and disorder was revealed, taking some of the terror from the frightened Pae'il. However, something still wasn't quite right.
Wait...were there less Pae at the party now than there were just moments ago?
-----
((Uh oh...it seems trouble is afoot! The following Pae seem to have disappeared without a trace!
Alicia Alister Apollo Aysu Beldaran Elizabeth Faroth Kali Lhiannan Sidhe Morena Pastela Sera
Where could they have gone?
In any case, they may be missing for now...but maybe the remaining Pae'il can get to the bottom of this mystery?))

Apollo smiled. "Sure we can dance." With that the lights went out. He tried his best to light himself up but for once in his life nothing seemed to happen. This was odd as he could even counter his father's darkness...which meant it was his father's. "Ama?" He called before the crash and then that was all from the fae of light.
Jazz nodded. "I know Ivy. Far away? I had a son grow up far away, but still on the island. Welcome back, I should say!" Jazz smiled and as she did so the place went dark. She tried her best to see but nothing worked. She hear a crash before the lights came back. It seemed her chatting partner was now gone.
"is everyone alright?" Jazz called as she stood up on a table to see better and be seen. Being an elder she always felt she should try and be the person other's looked to even if she didn't know what was going on either.
Anna-Maria cursed under her breath. Rum would make this party much more fun. Why did others always ruin things? Just then the lights went out. Anna-Maria thought it was a great time to get some treasure but she just kept bumping into the table she was near. She hear a crash and wondered if that was her before being able to see.
"I'm okay." She said to the elder on the table. She then looked for Theron as she didn't notice others were gone becuase she didn't know that many others in the first place.

((I'm not at all sure how to play Elizabeth's particular reaction to this, so I'll just leave her be for now.))
The instant the lights die, Theron fumbles for the matches he always keeps on him when he doesn't have his fire stick. He lights it without striking it, and he hears it catch flame, but no light appears. Quickly he shakes it out before it burns his fingers.
As the lights returns, he takes stock of himself and his companion Anna-Maria. "Are you quite alright?" he asks, going to put his hand on her shoulder. Where had she gone? He looks around for her, and spots her a short distance away. "Are you quite alright?" he repeats, moving toward her.
Kelebek's darkvision could be said to be better than most. Still, the darkness that fell over the mansion was impenetrable even to her. She tries to stand very still in the hopes that whatever had caused the darkness wouldn't find her, but in the chaos that followed it, someone knocked into her and pushed her over. She hears a very loud, very close crash, and hopes she wasn't the one who had knocked something over. But it probably was. It usually was.
For all Kieran's talk of being a man, ready to do manly things, at his heart he was still a boy. And so when the lights go out, fear grips the poor faun. All he can do is cling to the wall he'd leaned against in an attempt to schmooze with the beautiful dark faerie, and hope that the darkness passes soon.
When the lights do come back on, Kieran immediately searches out his guardian figure, Elizabeth. Blue eyes scan the ballroom quickly for her. Normally the dark-skinned angel stands out in a crowd, but Kieran just doesn't see her. Trying not to panic, he looks at every Pae in the room individually. No Elizabeth.
He swallows hard, trying to think of what to do. The room is in utter chaos, with things tipped over, spilled, and broken.
"Hey everyone!" he yells, hoping to the Guardians his voice doesn't crack, "My...Elizabeth is missing! S-someone must've took her away while the lights were out!" He bites his bottom lip and looks around for something else to say. "Has...has anyone lost....I mean, is anyone else missing someone?"

"Well, thank you. You look more ravishing than ever." She always looked ravishing to him. Aspen smiled and held her into the twril. "That sounds like a plan, my beatiful temptress." Aspen tried to say with an accent to be more Bond-ish
In the middle of the twirl, the lights went black. Aspen pulled Takeko close to him and hoped that things were ok. He held out one hand as he batted bodies away from him and his love. Finally the lights came back on.
"Are you ok?" He asked Takeko, he noticed that a few pae were gone...but at least she was still near. He looked up to Jazz and nodded.
Woobie smiled and nodded, "Oh a very good dancer." He looked down at his feet and hoped that they didn't get stepped on too much. He pulled her up and started to dance more, when the lights went out.
Woobie felt Pastela and then she wasn't there. Woobie ran, blindly to find her. He tripped over things and finally crashed to the ground. When the lights came back she was gone. "Pasetla?" Woobie cried out.
"Ok, that sounds fun." Karma smiled and then the lights went out. She heard a scream, people and things were everywhere. What in Fate's name? Finally the lights came on, she heard a scream for Pastela. Karma looked to Seth, "What's going on?"

Honestly, Grendell was thinking of leaving, she was not having much fun. Her mental expectations have not come to fruition; no one seemed to be paying much attention to her. Sighing, her eyes went to her mother.
Before approaching her, the lights went out. With moon light, this wouldn't be a problem. However, the light orb was of no help. With one foot back half a step, the defender took a stance and threw up a shadow shield. Given what was going on, there was no telling how useful that would be.
As soon as it seemed to happen, the lights came back on. Dropping the shield, she looked around. Pae were missing, cowering she assumed, but what alarmed her was that she didn't see her mother. Was this a trick?
Ignoring the rest of the party, she cut her way through the crowed to the corner her mother was at standing. Putting her hand out, she waved it around trying to feel around.
Disturbed to no end, she couldn't believe that this was what it seemed. Morena could be somewhere laughing at her acting like this. The question was, how did everyone else vanish? They couldn't be cowering; none of the missing seem to have reappeared. This was judging on numbers, she knew no one here. Something was afoot; she would get to be bottom of it.

When the lights went out carter felt the panic in the room, a panic that told him this wasn't part of the festivities. " Elvis, sera!" he called out, blind in the dark. his hands seraching for his little ones desperately. He had Alister holding onto his pants leg, but someone bumped into him in their panic it seemed and he lost him. " alister!" he breathed in panic.
Elvis was in the midst of looking at a few fun things, but when the lights went out he froze a bit, not sure what just happened. " daddy!" he cried out when he heard carter call for him and sera. At one he started feeling around for his little sister, or for anyone. " sera! sera! where are you!?" He cried. Soon the lights came on and elvis ran to carter, hugging his leg tightly. "daddy!" he breathed.
Carter was relieved to see elvis, picking up his baby and holding him tight. He then looked around for alister and sera and felt his heart sink. " alister! sera!" he cried, panicking. Carter then realized he wasn't the only one to be robbed of loved ones. kidnappings?! here?!

Ama wasn't scared when the lights went out, oh no, it was the mass hysteria that settled with the screaming and crashing about. She felt herself being pulled away from where she stood by all the moving bodies. "Apollo!" She yelled above the screams... and then the lights came on and she looked admist the confusion; Apollo was nowhere to be seen.
Fighting her way through the crowds, she looked for a familiar face. Spotting her Uncle Woobie, she ran to him and hugged him from behind. "What's going on...?" Her voice held a small tremor and she realized that she was shaking a bit.
As the lights went out and the screams started, Seth pulled Karma close to him, wrapping his arms tightly around her in attempts to keep her safe. As they came back on, he pulled back a bit to check her over. "Are you alright?"

The initial reaction of the darkness was one of humor for the twins, after all vampires loved and thrived in the dark, the pair made silly jokes about vampires in the first few seconds, and then the crash resounded in the room and the pair soon got lost in the panic around them.
Once the lights flickered back Darius turned to his sister... wait... where was his sister? "Bel?" he calls out thinking she'd gotten mixed up in the crowd, but soon he discovered he couldn't see her at all and his calls went unanswered "Bel? Anyone seen a white-haired vampire? Bel!!!??!"

"Perhaps the cloak was being controlled by a very good puppet--" When the lights suddenly went out, Texas cut himself out and worriedly glanced from left to right. He couldn't see a damn thing through this darkness! Where was Kane when Texas needed him; he would probably be able to see. Probably find the source of the crash too. What was going on?
This atmosphere-setting thing was being done far too well. It took a lot to scare Texas, and even he had to admit that he felt his heart jump a little as the darkness continued on. Still, he had to be strong. He squared his shoulders and was just about ready to venture forward into the nothingness that was the seemingly infinite darkness to get to the bottom of this when the lights blinked back on.
Oh. Well then.
Texas relaxed briefly, only to tense as anguished cries for loves or friends began to fill the air. This ... wasn't a game, was it? Texas briefly scanned the room for anyone he may have been missing, first and foremost. There was Saffron the Sexy, Takeko and some unfamiliar man--no, really, who was that? Hadn't she taken Aysu to dance? ...Wait, where was Aysu?
Where was his sister. Where did they put his sister. This was the worst thing that could possibly happen to her. Why didn't they just take him instead?! Worry caused his lips to twist and his eyebrows to furrow. Kieran's voice struck him through his swirling mind, and Texas shouted a response, "My sister's missing too!" The panic he felt caused his voice to crack slightly, and he caught it.
...No, he couldn't panic. That would be counter-productive with all of this flailing.
Immediately, Texas ventured over to one of the central tables and boosted himself onto it, choosing to take the leadership position here if everyone else was going to run around like chickens with their heads cut off. As he realized when he was much younger and as he had realized during the Isle Falling, that was no way to get any work done.
"But if we want to find them, we have to work together, not run around like chickens," demanded Texas, projecting loudly into the crowd, taking on a much different demeanor than he had been using when he had been talking to Saffron. This Texas seemed strong and dominant... and almost like a concerned parental figure in some way. "Keep your eyes out. Search the floor. Stay in groups and don't get too far apart."

Jazz looked to the crowd as everyone seemed to lose someone. "Okay, so we need to find them. Texas Pete, is it? He's right we need to stay together as we look. We dont' want anyone else to get lost." Jazz got off her table and looked around for anyone that was willing to go with her. She didn't know Alicia well, but she didn't want to leave her out there.
The elder found her way to Aspen and Takeko as Alicia has said Aspen was her brother. "Alicia went missing."
"I'm okay. I didn't lose anyone...that I know of. How about you?" Quickly the demon found herself a napkin and a pencil. She began to scribble on it. She was making up a map and hoping that would lead them to where the others had gone. Of course this map could lead to any treasure, but it was worth a try.

Siva finally stood up from his cowered position in the corner... well as cowered as one can get with giant bread. He watched the chaos intently... his sister was missing. This could be very bad. He acted as a counterbalance for Kali's chaotic ways; he almost pitied anyone who would kidnap her.
Ella growled in her little pipsqueak voice at Faroth. "YOU ARE TOO FAROTH!!!" She stamped her little hoof and put both of her hands on her hips, leaning over slightly and pouting. "I'm not a dummy!" She took a step to approach him when the lights went out. A shrill squeak escaped her; she still slept with a night light. When the lights flickered back on, Faroth was gone.
"WHAT? YOU'RE NOT GETTING AWAY THAT EASY MISTER!!!" scream
Thara was about to offer the faun a seat when all hell broke loose. Finally, something interesting. Standing she tried to take a headcount of those missing. Twelve, it looked like. Almost half of the party itself. It made no since to kidnap that many at once.
Turning, she handed her glass of punch to Keiran, who was slightly panicking. "Drink this."
