"No it wasn't," Rhian insisted stubbornly, still pouting. She stuck her tongue out at her sibling and glared at Contessa, who gave her a puppy-grin. "Even the puppies are laughing at me!"

"Well, it's because you're adorable," Faolan said, pulling Rhian into a hug and kissing the top of her lavender-scented head. "Nae more crawling under th' bed, though, alright?"

Rhian nodded, flicking Faolan with her antennae for a moment. "Okay. Next time Contessa gets scared when she sees you and Mama playing the happy-scream game, Sibling-Ziazan will get her out from under the bed!"

Rhian just giggled while Ellandra had the grace to look ashamed. Contessa just wuffed grumpily.

Faolan looked down at his wife, grinning. "Let's gae put th' twins down fae a nap. Then you an' me can hide out in our room fae a bit so th' dogs cannae see us foolin' about."

Ellandra smiled and wrapped her arms around Faolan. "That sounds good," she said, hugging him. "But I'm too tired to walk up the stairs, you know...."
Rhian gagged. "Ewwww, Mama and Faolan are gross!"

Faolan laughed at Rhian. "Just you wait till you're older, wean." He ushered Elle out, determined to carry her if need be.
Zia just shook its head, nudging Rhian. "Leave them be. They're happy."

Rhian made a face. "Waitaminute............. is THAT what you and Mama and Faolan thought me and Lauss-teacher were gonna do when I got in trouble?!?" Blue eyes got very, very wide, and the flutterby fell over with a resounding, "Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!"

Zia giggled, holding a hand up to try and stifle the laughter. "Let's go out and get something to eat. We can put leashes on the dogs and take them for a walk."

"Um, okay," Zia said, pretty sure its sister wanted to explore its more feminine side by making it dress up in girl clothes. "We can take the dogs by the seamstresses and ask if they can make them some clothes. They probably do it for the show dogs, so it wouldn't be hard to do it for these two." It bent down to pick Bert up.
